474. Vinaye garukā vinayagarukā. Kiñcāpi idaṃ dvīsu gāthāsu āgataṃ, aññehi pana missetvā vuttabhāvato nānākaraṇaṃ paccetabbaṃ.
律中谓严重者即律之严重者。又此二偈中所载之事,应证诸他,依前所说,须因多种因由细察。

475.Dve saṃvāsakabhūmiyoti ettha bhūmīti avatthā. Aṅgahīnatā kāraṇavekallavasenapi veditabbāti āha ‘‘apicetthā’’tiādi. Esa nayoti ‘‘apicetthā’’tiādinā vuttanayo. Vanappatiṃ chindantassa pārājikanti adinnādāne vanappatikathāya āgataṃ parasantakaṃ sandhāya vuttaṃ. Vissaṭṭhichaḍḍaneti sukkavissaṭṭhiyā mocane. Dukkaṭā katāti dukkaṭaṃ vuttaṃ. Paṭhamasikkhāpadamhiyevāti bhikkhunovādakavaggassa paṭhamasikkhāpadeyeva. Āmakadhaññaṃ viññāpetvā bhuñjantiyā pubbapayoge dukkaṭaṃ, ajjhohāre pācittiyaṃ.
“二种犯戒之地”者,此处以“地”作释。谓即使部分不足者,亦应分别知之,故称‘如此故’等。所谓‘如此故’等,是关于此理之说法。断取森林之物,为犯巴拉基戒之事,故《森林戒话》中所载乃杀伐之禁律,为最严重戒。‘放下扩散’者,谓因持清净故释解。‘所作恶事’谓所言恶也。谓戒律中初学阶段,及比库戒勉励经,皆称此语。先前食用粮秕,现亦仍食,则为戒罪应当忏悔者。

“古老戒”者,云『新戒尤严』。

478.Asuttakanti suttavirahitaṃ, suttato apanītaṃ natthīti attho.
“不切实者”者,即断离正经之义;无正法故未及;为此意也。
