§1-2
1-2. Tiṃsatime vagge paṭhamāpadāne āhutiṃ yiṭṭhukāmohanti pūjāsakkāraṃ kāretukāmo ahaṃ. Nānāpupphaṃ samānayinti nānā anekavidhaṃ campakasalalādipupphaṃ saṃ suṭṭhu ānayiṃ, rāsiṃ akāsinti attho. Sikhino lokabandhunoti sakalalokattayabandhussa ñātakassa sikhissa bhagavato parinibbutassa citakaṃ āḷāhanacitakaṃ dārurāsiṃ jalantaṃ ādittaṃ disvā tañca mayā rāsīkataṃ pupphaṃ okiriṃ pūjesinti attho.
第一节第一至第二经文中,关于三十卷之首的大品中,记载说我思欲供养祭祀,渴望成就此功德。各种花朵纷纷集结,各种多样的园中花木,像栀子花、梔子花这类鲜美的花朵齐聚,意旨注重积聚成堆。称之为长者之骨,这是众生之族类中有亲属之长者,即世尊已入般涅槃后的骨骸。见到这木堆中的骨灰燃烧滋滋作响,我便把堆积的花供奉其上,意欲以此奉敬。

6-7. Dutiyāpadāne ajinuttaravāsanoti ajinamigacammaṃ uttarāsaṅgaṃ katvā nivāsino acchādanoti attho. Abhiññā pañca nibbattāti iddhividhādayo pañca abhiññāyo pañca ñāṇāni nibbattā uppāditā nipphāditā. Candassa parimajjakoti candamaṇḍalassa samantato majjako, phuṭṭho ahosinti attho. Vipassiṃ lokapajjotanti sakalalokattaye padīpasadisaṃ vipassiṃ bhagavantaṃ mama santikaṃ abhigataṃ visesena sampattaṃ āgataṃ. Disvā pāricchattakapupphānīti devalokato pāricchattakapupphāni āharitvā vipassissa satthuno matthake chattākārena ahaṃ dhāresinti attho.
第二节第六至第七经文中,「非凡之衣」即非凡的鹿皮衣,取其为上衣,居住者称为覆体之意。第五识神通共有五种,即由神通五种、五眼通、他心通、宿命通、天眼通组成的三昧所展现之五种智慧已而现行生灭。月轮洁净的光辉普照四方,犹如明月之全然圆满。称世尊为世界之光辉,意即世尊如广布光明的灯火,专特现于我面前,为我所见。有天人自天界采来遮蔽世尊面容的伞盖花朵,我以此作伞护,意在供养师尊。

11-13. Tatiyāpadāne putto mama pabbajitoti mayhaṃ putto saddhāya pabbajito. Kāsāyavasano tadāti tasmiṃ pabbajitakāle kāsāyanivattho , na bāhirakapabbajjāya pabbajitoti attho. Soca buddhattaṃ sampattoti so mayhaṃ putto catūsu buddhesu sāvakabuddhabhāvaṃ saṃ suṭṭhu patto, arahattaṃ pattoti attho. Nibbuto lokapūjitoti sakalalokehi katasakkāro khandhaparinibbānena parinibbutoti attho. Vicinanto sakaṃ puttanti ahaṃ tassa gatadesaṃ pucchitvā sakaṃ puttaṃ vicinanto pacchato agamaṃ, anugato asmīti attho. Nibbutassa mahantassāti mahantehi sīlakkhandhādīhi yuttattā mahantassa tassa mama puttassa arahato ādahanaṭṭhāne citakaṃ citakaṭṭhānaṃ ahaṃ agamāsinti attho. Paggayha añjaliṃ tatthāti tasmiṃ ādahanaṭṭhāne añjaliṃ dasaṅgulisamodhānaṃ paggahetvā sirasi katvā ahaṃ citakaṃ dahanadārurāsiṃ vanditvā paṇāmaṃ katvā setacchattañca paggayhāti na kevalameva vanditvā dhavalacchattañca paggayha ukkhipitvā ahaṃ āropesiṃ patiṭṭhapesinti attho.
第三节第十一至第十三经文中,名曰『我子出家』者,谓我子以信心而出家。衣袍披在身上即为袈裟,谓出家时衣袍俱在身边,非外在他穿终身之衣,故此称出家。哀恸佛陀圆寂之意,即我子已证四果,获具足四圣果阿拉汉果位。其中「涅槃被众生敬仰」谓被世人广泛敬重,涵盖以聚集法义作涅槃之义。探问我子者,意谓我曾到我子出家处探询而得知我子已追随佛陀之义。谓大阿拉汉之所在,因其德行堪称崇高,佛陀入灭之际火化处焚烧骨灰,其处我亦曾亲至。我拜跪十指合掌,手触头顶,向火烧骨灰礼拜,展开白伞供奉,不仅仅行礼,且举起白伞置于头顶,用以安置骨灰,努力稳固。
§17-18
17-18. Catutthāpadāne anuggatamhi ādicceti sūriye anuggate anuṭṭhite paccūsakāleti attho. Pasādo vipulo ahūti rogapīḷitassa mayhaṃ cittappasādo vipulo atireko buddhānussaraṇena ahu ahosi. Mahesino buddhaseṭṭhassa lokamhi pātubhāvo pākaṭabhāvo ahosīti sambandho. Ghosamassosahaṃ tatthāti tasmiṃ pātubhāve sati ‘‘ahaṃ gilāno buddho uppanno’’ti ghosaṃ assosiṃ. Na ca passāmi taṃ jinanti taṃ jitapañcamāraṃ sammāsambuddhaṃ na passāmi, bāḷhagilānattā gantvā passituṃ na sakkomīti attho. Maraṇañca anuppattoti maraṇāsannakālaṃ anuppatto, āsannamaraṇo hutvāti attho. Buddhasaññamanussarinti buddhotināmaṃ anussariṃ, buddhārammaṇaṃ manasi akāsinti attho.
第四节第十七至第十八经文中,「随行而行乃直到初日」指随太阳升起而行,踏上前进的路径。心境广阔,虽患病心境宁静,因念佛而得超越。依佛迹尊称世尊为众生之王的法显著现于世界。听闻声响时心中默念“我这病人佛陀已生”,即听声后虽身患痼疾仍未见佛陀显现,遂心念:因病重难见正觉,不得不放弃。谓死未到临近死时尚未至,意谓临死尚未来临。称念佛号意在心中回忆佛陀圣名,即心中显现佛陀相好之义。

21-23. Pañcamāpadāne ārāmadvārā nikkhammāti ārāmadvārato saṅghassa nikkhamanadvāramaggehi attho. Gosīsaṃ santhataṃ mayāti tasmiṃ nikkhamanadvāramagge ‘‘bhagavato bhikkhusaṅghassa ca pādā mā kaddamaṃ akkamantū’’ti akkamanatthāya gosīsaṭṭhiṃ mayā santharitanti attho. Anubhomi sakaṃ kammanti attano gosīsaattharaṇakammassa balena ājānīyā vātajavā sindhavā sīghavāhanādīni vipākaphalāni anubhomīti attho. Ahokāraṃ paramakāranti sukhette saṅghe mayā suṭṭhu kataṃ kāraṃ appakampi kiccaṃ mahapphaladānato paramakāraṃ uttamakiccaṃ aho vimhayanti attho. Yathā tiṇadosādivirahitesu khettesu vappitaṃ sālibījaṃ mahapphalaṃ deti, evameva rāgadosādidosarahite parisuddhakāyavacīsamācāre saṅghakhette gosīsaattharaṇakammaṃ mayā kataṃ, idaṃ mahapphalaṃ detīti vuttaṃ hoti. Na aññaṃ kalamagghatīti aññaṃ bāhirasāsane kataṃ kammaṃ saṅghe katassa kārassa pūjāsakkārassa kalaṃ soḷasiṃ kalaṃ koṭṭhāsaṃ na agghatīti sambandho.
第五节第二十一至第二十三经文中,「出入寺门」指从僧团离去之门出入。以言语制止,有人集聚于出入门道,吾言“勿阻碍世尊僧团之脚步”告诫其意。称吾业因业力强大,感受风声如疾风旋转流水奔急,及乘快车等果报相续现起。吾于沙场称赞所作之最上功德,其功德冠绝,无微不至,功效极盛,令人称奇。若稻谷生于无三毒污染地,结隆盛果实,正如我在清净无染之行持于僧团中所行护业,为群生带来大功德,复有所说。非其他时地所行事,故此善行非外在无谓之为。
