1. 第一品
1. Mūlasuttaṃ1. 根经
§50
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,我如是听闻——
‘‘Tīṇimāni, bhikkhave, akusalamūlāni. Katamāni tīṇi? Lobho akusalamūlaṃ, doso akusalamūlaṃ, moho akusalamūlaṃ – imāni kho, bhikkhave, tīṇi akusalamūlānī’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,这三种不善根。哪三种?贪是不善根,嗔是不善根,痴是不善根——诸比库,这些是三种不善根。」世尊说了此义。在那里如是说——
‘‘Lobho doso ca moho ca, purisaṃ pāpacetasaṃ;
「贪、嗔与痴,对于恶心的人,」
Hiṃsanti attasambhūtā, tacasāraṃva samphala’’nti.
「从自身生起而伤害他,如同竹果实伤害竹茎。」
Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti. Paṭhamaṃ.
此义也是世尊所说,我如是听闻。第一经。
2. Dhātusuttaṃ2. 界经
§51
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,我如是听闻——
‘‘Tisso imā, bhikkhave, dhātuyo. Katamā tisso? Rūpadhātu, arūpadhātu, nirodhadhātu – imā kho, bhikkhave, tisso dhātuyo’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,这三种界。哪三种?色界、无色界、灭界——诸比库,这些是三种界。」世尊说了此义。在那里如是说——
‘‘Rūpadhātuṃ pariññāya, arūpesu asaṇṭhitā;
「遍知色界后,于无色界不住立;
Nirodhe ye vimuccanti, te janā maccuhāyino.
于灭中解脱者,彼等人是死的征服者。
‘‘Kāyena amataṃ dhātuṃ, phusayitvā nirūpadhiṃ;
「以身触不死界,无依;
Upadhippaṭinissaggaṃ, sacchikatvā anāsavo;
现证依的舍断,无漏者;
Deseti sammāsambuddho, asokaṃ virajaṃ pada’’nti.
正等正觉者教导,无忧、离尘之处。」
Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti. dutiyaṃ.
此义也是世尊所说,如是我闻。第二经。
3. Paṭhamavedanāsuttaṃ3. 第一受经
§52
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
此确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Tisso imā, bhikkhave, vedanā. Katamā tisso? Sukhā vedanā, dukkhā vedanā, adukkhamasukhā vedanā –
「诸比库!有此三受。哪三种?乐受、苦受、不苦不乐受——
Imā kho, bhikkhave, tisso vedanā’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
诸比库,这些是三种受。世尊说了此义。在那里如此说:
‘‘Samāhito sampajāno, sato buddhassa sāvako;
「得定、正知、具念的佛陀声闻;
Vedanā ca pajānāti, vedanānañca sambhavaṃ.
了知诸受,以及诸受的集起。
‘‘Yattha cetā nirujjhanti, maggañca khayagāminaṃ;
「在那里这些灭尽,以及导向灭尽之道;
Vedanānaṃ khayā bhikkhu, nicchāto parinibbuto’’ti.
由于诸受的灭尽,比库无渴爱而般涅槃。」

4. Dutiyavedanāsuttaṃ4. 第二受经
§53
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
此确实为世尊所说,为阿拉汉所说,如是我闻:
‘‘Tisso imā , bhikkhave, vedanā. Katamā tisso? Sukhā vedanā, dukkhā vedanā, adukkhamasukhā vedanā. Sukhā, bhikkhave, vedanā dukkhato daṭṭhabbā; dukkhā vedanā sallato daṭṭhabbā; adukkhamasukhā vedanā aniccato daṭṭhabbā. Yato kho, bhikkhave, bhikkhuno sukhā vedanā dukkhato diṭṭhā hoti, dukkhā vedanā sallato diṭṭhā hoti, adukkhamasukhā vedanā aniccato diṭṭhā hoti; ayaṃ vuccati, bhikkhave, ‘bhikkhu ariyo sammaddaso acchecchi , taṇhaṃ, vivattayi saṃyojanaṃ, sammā mānābhisamayā antamakāsi dukkhassā’’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,这些是三种受。哪三种?乐受、苦受、不苦不乐受。诸比库,乐受应当被视为苦,苦受应当被视为箭,不苦不乐受应当被视为无常。诸比库,当比库已见乐受为苦,已见苦受为箭,已见不苦不乐受为无常时;诸比库,这被称为『比库是圣者、正见者,已断渴爱,已解开结缚,由于正确地现观慢,已作苦的终结。』」世尊说了此义。在那里如此说:
‘‘Yo sukhaṃ dukkhato adda , dukkhamaddakkhi sallato;
「凡见乐为苦者,见苦为刺者;
Adukkhamasukhaṃ santaṃ, adakkhi naṃ aniccato.
见寂静的不苦不乐为无常者。
‘‘Sa ve sammaddaso bhikkhu, yato tattha vimuccati;
「他确实是正见的比库,由于从那里解脱;
Abhiññāvosito santo, sa ve yogātigo munī’’ti.
寂静、以证智为终极者,他确实是超越轭的牟尼。」
Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti. Catutthaṃ.
此义也是世尊所说,如是我闻。第四。
5. Paṭhamaesanāsuttaṃ5. 第一寻求经
§54
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –

‘‘Tisso imā, bhikkhave, esanā. Katamā tisso? Kāmesanā, bhavesanā, brahmacariyesanā – imā kho, bhikkhave, tisso esanā’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!有此三寻求。哪三种?欲寻求、有寻求、梵行寻求——诸比库!这些是三寻求。」世尊说了此义。在那里如是说——
‘‘Samāhito sampajāno, sato buddhassa sāvako;
「得定、正知、具念的佛陀声闻;
Esanā ca pajānāti, esanānañca sambhavaṃ.
他了知寻求,以及诸寻求的集起。
‘‘Yattha cetā nirujjhanti, maggañca khayagāminaṃ;
「于何处这些灭尽,以及导向灭尽之道;
Esanānaṃ khayā bhikkhu, nicchāto parinibbuto’’ti.

6. Dutiyaesanāsuttaṃ6. 第二寻求经
§55
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Tisso imā, bhikkhave, esanā. Katamā tisso? Kāmesanā, bhavesanā, brahmacariyesanā – imā kho, bhikkhave, tisso esanā’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,有这三种寻求。哪三种?欲寻求、有寻求、梵行寻求——诸比库,这是三种寻求。」世尊说了这义理。在那里如是说——
‘‘Kāmesanā bhavesanā, brahmacariyesanā saha;
「欲寻求、有寻求,以及梵行寻求;
Iti saccaparāmāso, diṭṭhiṭṭhānā samussayā.
如是执取真谛,从诸见处的积聚。
‘‘Sabbarāgavirattassa, taṇhakkhayavimuttino;
「对一切贪已离贪者,以渴爱尽而解脱者;
Esanā paṭinissaṭṭhā, diṭṭhiṭṭhānā samūhatā;
诸寻求已舍断,诸见处已根除;
Esanānaṃ khayā bhikkhu, nirāso akathaṃkathī’’ti.
以诸寻求之灭尽,比库无欲求,无疑惑。」
Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti. Chaṭṭhaṃ.
此义也是世尊所说,如是我闻。第六经。
7. Paṭhamaāsavasuttaṃ7. 第一漏经
§56
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
此确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Tayome, bhikkhave, āsavā. Katame tayo? Kāmāsavo, bhavāsavo, avijjāsavo – ime kho, bhikkhave, tayo āsavā’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,有此等三漏。哪三种?欲漏、有漏、无明漏——诸比库,此等为三漏。」世尊说了此义。在那里如是说——
‘‘Samāhito sampajāno, sato buddhassa sāvako;
「得定、正知、具念的佛陀之声闻,
Āsave ca pajānāti, āsavānañca sambhavaṃ.
了知诸漏,以及诸漏之集起。
‘‘Yattha cetā nirujjhanti, maggañca khayagāminaṃ;
「于此处,这些(渴爱)灭尽,以及导向灭尽之道;
Āsavānaṃ khayā bhikkhu, nicchāto parinibbuto’’ti.
比库以诸漏尽,无欲,已般涅槃。」

这义理也是世尊所说,如是我闻。第七经。
8. Dutiyaāsavasuttaṃ8. 第二漏经
§57
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Tayome, bhikkhave, āsavā. Katame tayo? Kāmāsavo, bhavāsavo, avijjāsavo – ime kho, bhikkhave, tayo āsavā’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,有此三漏。哪三种?欲漏、有漏、无明漏——诸比库,这是三漏。」世尊说此义理。于此,如是说——
‘‘Yassa kāmāsavo khīṇo, avijjā ca virājitā;
「凡欲漏已尽,无明已离染,
Bhavāsavo parikkhīṇo, vippamutto nirūpadhi;
有漏已遍尽,已解脱,无依,
Dhāreti antimaṃ dehaṃ, jetvā māraṃ savāhini’’nti .
持最后之身,已战胜魔与其军队。」
Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti. Aṭṭhamaṃ.
这义理也是世尊所说,如是我闻。第八经。
9. Taṇhāsuttaṃ9. 渴爱经
§58
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Tisso imā, bhikkhave, taṇhā. Katamā tisso? Kāmataṇhā, bhavataṇhā, vibhavataṇhā – imā kho, bhikkhave, tisso taṇhā’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,有这三种渴爱。哪三种?欲爱、有爱、无有爱——诸比库,这就是三种渴爱。」世尊说了这个义理。在那里如是说——
‘‘Taṇhāyogena saṃyuttā, rattacittā bhavābhave;
「与渴爱之轭相应,于诸有中心染着;
Te yogayuttā mārassa, ayogakkhemino janā;
他们与轭相应,是魔的人,不得离轭之安稳;
Sattā gacchanti saṃsāraṃ, jātīmaraṇagāmino.
诸有情行于轮回,趣向生与死。
‘‘Ye ca taṇhaṃ pahantvāna, vītataṇhā bhavābhave;
「然而那些舍断渴爱者,于诸有中离渴爱;
Te ve pāraṅgatā loke, ye pattā āsavakkhaya’’nti.
他们确实是世间的到彼岸者,是那些达到诸漏尽者。」
Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti. Navamaṃ.
此义为世尊所说,如是我闻。第九经
10. Māradheyyasuttaṃ10. 魔境经
§59
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
此确实为世尊所说,为阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Tīhi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannāgato bhikkhu atikkamma māradheyyaṃ ādiccova virocati. Katamehi tīhi? Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu asekhena sīlakkhandhena samannāgato hoti, asekhena samādhikkhandhena samannāgato hoti, asekhena paññākkhandhena samannāgato hoti – imehi kho, bhikkhave, tīhi dhammehi samannāgato bhikkhu atikkamma māradheyyaṃ ādiccova virocatī’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!具足三法的比库,超越魔境,如太阳般照耀。哪三法?诸比库!于此,比库具足无学戒蕴,具足无学定蕴,具足无学慧蕴——诸比库!具足此三法的比库,超越魔境,如太阳般照耀。」世尊说此义。于此如是说——
‘‘Sīlaṃ samādhi paññā ca, yassa ete subhāvitā;
「戒、定与慧,凡此等善修习者;
Atikkamma māradheyyaṃ, ādiccova virocatī’’ti.
超越魔境,如太阳般照耀。」
Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti. Dasamaṃ.
此义为世尊所说,如是我闻。第十经
Paṭhamo vaggo niṭṭhito. · 第一品完
Tassuddānaṃ –
其摄颂——
Mūladhātu atha vedanā duve, esanā ca duve āsavā duve;
根、界,然后二受,二寻,以及二漏;
Taṇhāto ca atha māradheyyato, vaggamāhu paṭhamanti muttamanti.
他们说从渴爱与魔境解脱者为第一品、解脱者。

1. Puññakiriyavatthusuttaṃ1. 福业事经
§60
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,我如是听闻——
‘‘Tīṇimāni, bhikkhave, puññakiriyavatthūni. Katamāni tīṇi? Dānamayaṃ puññakiriyavatthu, sīlamayaṃ puññakiriyavatthu, bhāvanāmayaṃ puññakiriyavatthu – imāni kho, bhikkhave, tīṇi puññakiriyavatthūnī’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,这三种福业事。哪三种?布施所成的福业事、持戒所成的福业事、修习所成的福业事——诸比库,这些是三种福业事。」世尊说了此义。在那里如是说——
‘‘Puññameva so sikkheyya, āyataggaṃ sukhudrayaṃ;
「他应当只修习福,长久的安乐之源;
Dānañca samacariyañca, mettacittañca bhāvaye.
应修习布施与正行,以及慈心。
‘‘Ete dhamme bhāvayitvā, tayo sukhasamuddaye;
「修习了这些法,三种乐之源,
Abyāpajjhaṃ sukhaṃ lokaṃ, paṇḍito upapajjatī’’ti.
贤智者往生于无恼害、安乐的世间。」
Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti. Paṭhamaṃ.
这义理也是世尊所说,如是我闻。第一经。
2. Cakkhusuttaṃ2. 眼经
§61
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Tīṇimāni, bhikkhave, cakkhūni. Katamāni tīṇi? Maṃsacakkhu, dibbacakkhu, paññācakkhu – imāni kho, bhikkhave, tīṇi cakkhūnī’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,这三种眼。哪三种?肉眼、天眼、慧眼——诸比库,这是三种眼。」世尊说了这义理。在那里如是说——
‘‘Maṃsacakkhu dibbacakkhu, paññācakkhu anuttaraṃ;
「肉眼、天眼,无上的慧眼;
Etāni tīṇi cakkhūni, akkhāsi purisuttamo.
这三种眼,最上士宣说了。
‘‘Maṃsacakkhussa uppādo, maggo dibbassa cakkhuno;
肉眼的生起,是天眼之道;
Yato ñāṇaṃ udapādi, paññācakkhu anuttaraṃ;
当智生起时,无上的慧眼;
Yassa cakkhussa paṭilābhā, sabbadukkhā pamuccatī’’ti.
获得此眼者,从一切苦解脱。」
Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti. Dutiyaṃ.
这义也是世尊所说,如是我闻。第二
3. Indriyasuttaṃ3. 根经
§62
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Tīṇimāni, bhikkhave, indriyāni. Katamāni tīṇi? Anaññātaññassāmītindriyaṃ, aññindriyaṃ, aññātāvindriyaṃ – imāni kho, bhikkhave, tīṇi indriyānī’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,这三根。哪三根?未知当知根、已知根、具知根——诸比库,这是三根。」世尊说了这义。在那里如是说——
‘‘Sekhassa sikkhamānassa, ujumaggānusārino;
「对于有学的学习者,随行于正直之道者;
Khayasmiṃ paṭhamaṃ ñāṇaṃ, tato aññā anantarā.
在灭尽时首先有智,然后紧接着有证智。
‘‘Tato aññā vimuttassa, ñāṇaṃ ve hoti tādino;
然后对于已证智而解脱者,确实有如是者之智;
Akuppā me vimuttīti, bhavasaṃyojanakkhayā.
『我的解脱不可动摇』,由于有之结的灭尽。
‘‘Sa ve indriyasampanno, santo santipade rato;
他确实具足诸根,寂静,乐于寂静之境;
Dhāreti antimaṃ dehaṃ, jetvā māraṃ savāhini’’nti.
持最后身,战胜魔与魔军。」
Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti. Tatiyaṃ.
此义亦为世尊所说,如是我闻。第三经。
4. Addhāsuttaṃ4. 时分经
§63
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
此确实为世尊所说,为阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Tayome, bhikkhave, addhā. Katame tayo? Atīto addhā, anāgato addhā, paccuppanno addhā – ime kho, bhikkhave, tayo addhā’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,有此三时。哪三种?过去时、未来时、现在时——诸比库,此为三时。」世尊说此义。于此如是说——
‘‘Akkheyyasaññino sattā, akkheyyasmiṃ patiṭṭhitā;
「有想可说之诸有情,住立于可说中;
Akkheyyaṃ apariññāya, yogamāyanti maccuno.
不遍知可说者,来到死魔之轭。
‘‘Akkheyyañca pariññāya, akkhātāraṃ na maññati;
「遍知可说者,不思量说者;
Phuṭṭho vimokkho manasā, santipadamanuttaraṃ.
以心触解脱,无上寂静处。」
‘‘Sa ve akkheyyasampanno, santo santipade rato;
「他确实具足应说之德,寂静,乐于寂静之道;
Saṅkhāyasevī dhammaṭṭho, saṅkhyaṃ nopeti vedagū’’ti.
奉行省察,住于法,通晓吠陀者不达于计度。」
Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti. Catutthaṃ.
此义也是世尊所说,如是我闻。第四经。
5. Duccaritasuttaṃ5. 恶行经
§64
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
此确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Tīṇimāni, bhikkhave, duccaritāni. Katamāni tīṇi? Kāyaduccaritaṃ, vacīduccaritaṃ, manoduccaritaṃ – imāni kho, bhikkhave, tīṇi duccaritānī’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,有此三恶行。哪三种?身恶行、语恶行、意恶行——诸比库,这是三恶行。」世尊说此义。于此,如是说——
‘‘Kāyaduccaritaṃ katvā, vacīduccaritāni ca;
「造作身恶行,以及诸语恶行;
Manoduccaritaṃ katvā, yañcaññaṃ dosasaṃhitaṃ.
造作意恶行,以及其他与嗔相应者。
‘‘Akatvā kusalaṃ kammaṃ, katvānākusalaṃ bahuṃ;
「未作善业,多作不善业;
Kāyassa bhedā duppañño, nirayaṃ sopapajjatī’’ti.
身坏时,劣慧者投生地狱。
Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti. Pañcamaṃ.
这义也是世尊所说,如是我闻。第五。
6. Sucaritasuttaṃ6. 善行经
§65
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Tīṇimāni, bhikkhave, sucaritāni. Katamāni tīṇi? Kāyasucaritaṃ, vacīsucaritaṃ, manosucaritaṃ – imāni kho, bhikkhave, tīṇi sucaritānī’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,有这三种善行。哪三种?身善行、语善行、意善行——诸比库,这是三种善行。」世尊说了这个义。在那里如是说——
‘‘Kāyaduccaritaṃ hitvā, vacīduccaritāni ca;
「舍断身恶行,以及诸语恶行;
Manoduccaritaṃ hitvā, yañcaññaṃ dosasaṃhitaṃ.
舍断意恶行,以及其他与嗔相应的;
‘‘Akatvākusalaṃ kammaṃ, katvāna kusalaṃ bahuṃ;
「不作不善业,作了许多善业;
Kāyassa bhedā sappañño, saggaṃ so upapajjatī’’ti.
身坏时,具慧者投生天界。」
Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti. Chaṭṭhaṃ.
这个义理也是世尊所说,如是我闻。第六经。
7. Soceyyasuttaṃ7. 清净经
§66
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Tīṇimāni, bhikkhave, soceyyāni. Katamāni tīṇi? Kāyasoceyyaṃ, vacīsoceyyaṃ, manosoceyyaṃ – imāni kho, bhikkhave, tīṇi soceyyānī’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,有这三种清净。哪三种?身清净、语清净、意清净——诸比库,这是三种清净。」世尊说了这个义理。在那里如是说——
‘‘Kāyasuciṃ vacīsuciṃ , cetosucimanāsavaṃ;
「身清净、语清净、心清净、无漏,

‘‘Tīṇimāni, bhikkhave, moneyyāni. Katamāni tīṇi? Kāyamoneyyaṃ, vacīmoneyyaṃ, manomoneyyaṃ – imāni kho, bhikkhave, tīṇi moneyyānī’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,有这三种牟尼法。哪三种?身牟尼法、语牟尼法、意牟尼法——诸比库,这是三种牟尼法。」世尊说了这个义理。在那里如是说——
‘‘Kāyamuniṃ vacīmuniṃ, manomunimanāsavaṃ;
「身牟尼、语牟尼、意牟尼、无漏者;
Muniṃ moneyyasampannaṃ, āhu ninhātapāpaka’’nti .
具足牟尼法的牟尼,他们称为已洗净诸恶者。」

Yassa kassaci, bhikkhave, rāgo pahīno, doso pahīno, moho pahīno – ayaṃ vuccati, bhikkhave, ‘abaddho mārassa omukkassa mārapāso na yathā kāmakaraṇīyo pāpimato’’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!任何人的贪未断、嗔未断、痴未断——诸比库!这被称为『被魔缚者,魔索未脱者,可被恶魔随意处置者』。诸比库!任何人的贪已断、嗔已断、痴已断——诸比库!这被称为『不被魔缚者,已脱魔索者,不可被恶魔随意处置者』。」世尊说了这个义理。在那里,如是说——
‘‘Yassa rāgo ca doso ca, avijjā ca virājitā;
「凡其贪与嗔,以及无明已离染者;
Taṃ bhāvitattaññataraṃ, brahmabhūtaṃ tathāgataṃ;

‘‘Yassa kassaci, bhikkhave, bhikkhussa vā bhikkhuniyā vā rāgo appahīno, doso appahīno, moho appahīno – ayaṃ vuccati, bhikkhave, na ‘atari samuddaṃ saūmiṃ savīciṃ sāvaṭṭaṃ sagahaṃ sarakkhasaṃ’. 「诸比库,任何比库或比库尼,若贪未断、嗔未断、痴未断——诸比库,这被称为『未渡越有波浪、有漩涡、有鳄鱼、有罗刹的海洋』。诸比库,任何比库或比库尼,若贪已断、嗔已断、痴已断——诸比库,这被称为『已渡越有波浪、有漩涡、有鳄鱼、有罗刹的海洋,已渡越、已到彼岸、住立于陆地的婆罗门』。」世尊说了这个义理。在那里这样说——
‘‘Yassa rāgo ca doso ca, avijjā ca virājitā;

‘‘Saṅgātigo maccujaho nirūpadhi, pahāsi dukkhaṃ apunabbhavāya;
「已超越结缚、已舍弃死、无依、为了不再有而舍断了苦;」
Atthaṅgato so na pamāṇameti, amohayi maccurājanti brūmī’’ti.
「他已灭尽,不可测量,我说他已迷惑了死王。」

「诸比库,我已见具足身恶行、具足语恶行、具足意恶行、诽谤圣者、邪见、持邪见业的众生。他们身坏命终后,生于苦界、恶趣、堕处、地狱。
‘‘Taṃ kho panāhaṃ, bhikkhave, nāññassa samaṇassa vā brāhmaṇassa vā sutvā vadāmi. 「诸比库,我并非听闻其他沙门或婆罗门而说此。诸比库,我已见具足身恶行、具足语恶行、具足意恶行、诽谤圣者、邪见、持邪见业的众生。他们身坏命终后,生于苦界、恶趣、堕处、地狱。诸比库,我只是说自己所知、自己所见、自己所了知的。」

「少闻、少福德者,在此短暂的生命中;
Kāyassa bhedā duppañño, nirayaṃ sopapajjatī’’ti.
身坏时,劣慧者,投生于地狱。」

「正确地安置意,正确地说语;
Sammā kammāni katvāna, kāyena idha puggalo.
正确地作诸业,以身于此世的人。
‘‘Bahussuto puññakaro, appasmiṃ idha jīvite;
多闻、作福者,于此短暂的生命中;
Kāyassa bhedā sappañño, saggaṃ so upapajjatī’’ti.
有慧者身坏后,往生天界。」

Kāmānametaṃ nissaraṇaṃ yadidaṃ nekkhammaṃ, rūpānametaṃ nissaraṇaṃ yadidaṃ āruppaṃ, yaṃ kho pana kiñci bhūtaṃ saṅkhataṃ paṭiccasamuppannaṃ nirodho tassa nissaraṇaṃ – imā kho, bhikkhave, tisso nissaraṇiyā dhātuyo’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!有此三出离界。哪三种?此为诸欲的出离,即出离;此为诸色的出离,即无色;凡任何已生、有为、缘起之法,灭是其出离——诸比库!此为三出离界。」世尊说了此义。在那里如是说——
‘‘Kāmanissaraṇaṃ ñatvā, rūpānañca atikkamaṃ;
「知诸欲的出离,以及诸色的超越,
Sabbasaṅkhārasamathaṃ, phusaṃ ātāpi sabbadā.
触一切行的止息,热诚者常如此。
‘‘Sa ve sammaddaso bhikkhu, yato tattha vimuccati;
「他确实是正见的比库,从那里解脱,
Abhiññāvosito santo, sa ve yogātigo munī’’ti.
以证智达到寂静,他确实是离轭的牟尼。」

‘‘Rūpehi, bhikkhave, arūpā santatarā, arūpehi nirodho santataro’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!无色比诸色更寂静,灭比无色更寂静。」世尊说此义。于此,如是说——
‘‘Ye ca rūpūpagā sattā, ye ca arūpaṭṭhāyino ;
「那些去往色的众生,以及住于无色的那些,
Nirodhaṃ appajānantā, āgantāro punabbhavaṃ.
不了知灭,再来再有。
‘‘Ye ca rūpe pariññāya, arūpesu asaṇṭhitā;
「凡遍知色后,不住于无色;
Nirodhe ye vimuccanti, te janā maccuhāyino.
凡于灭解脱者,彼等人是死的征服者。
‘‘Kāyena amataṃ dhātuṃ, phusayitvā nirūpadhiṃ;
「以身触不死界,无依;
Upadhippaṭinissaggaṃ, sacchikatvā anāsavo;
证知依的舍断,无漏;
Deseti sammāsambuddho, asokaṃ virajaṃ pada’’nti.
正等正觉者教导,无忧、离尘之处。」

‘‘Kathañca , bhikkhave, putto atijāto hoti? Idha, bhikkhave, puttassa mātāpitaro honti na buddhaṃ saraṇaṃ gatā, na dhammaṃ saraṇaṃ gatā, na saṅghaṃ saraṇaṃ gatā; pāṇātipātā appaṭiviratā, adinnādānā appaṭiviratā, kāmesumicchācārā appaṭiviratā, musāvādā appaṭiviratā, surāmerayamajjapamādaṭṭhānā appaṭiviratā, dussīlā pāpadhammā. Putto ca nesaṃ hoti buddhaṃ saraṇaṃ gato, dhammaṃ saraṇaṃ gato, saṅghaṃ saraṇaṃ gato; pāṇātipātā paṭivirato, adinnādānā paṭivirato, kāmesumicchācārā paṭivirato, musāvādā paṭivirato, surāmerayamajjapamādaṭṭhānā paṭivirato, sīlavā kalyāṇadhammo. ‘‘Atijātaṃ anujātaṃ, puttamicchanti paṇḍitā;
「贤智者希求超生者、随生者之子;
Avajātaṃ na icchanti, yo hoti kulagandhano.
不希求下生者,他是家族的污点。
‘‘Ete kho puttā lokasmiṃ, ye bhavanti upāsakā;
「这些世间的儿子,他们是近事男;
Saddhā sīlena sampannā, vadaññū vītamaccharā;
具足信与戒,慷慨、离悭吝;」
Cando abbhaghanā mutto, parisāsu virocare’’ti.
月从云中脱出,在众中照耀。」

「诸比库,这三种人存在、见于世间。哪三种?如无雨者、局部降雨者、遍处降雨者。
‘‘Kathañca , bhikkhave, puggalo avuṭṭhikasamo hoti? Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco puggalo sabbesaññeva na dātā hoti, samaṇabrāhmaṇakapaṇaddhikavanibbakayācakānaṃ annaṃ pānaṃ vatthaṃ yānaṃ mālāgandhavilepanaṃ seyyāvasathapadīpeyyaṃ. Evaṃ kho, bhikkhave, puggalo avuṭṭhikasamo hoti.
「诸比库,人如何是如无雨者?诸比库,这里,某人对一切都不施与,对沙门、婆罗门、贫穷者、旅行者、乞讨者不施与食物、饮料、衣服、车乘、花鬘香料涂油、卧具住所灯烛。诸比库,人如此是如无雨者。
‘‘Kathañca, bhikkhave, puggalo padesavassī hoti? Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco puggalo ekaccānaṃ dātā (hoti) , ekaccānaṃ na dātā hoti samaṇabrāhmaṇakapaṇaddhikavanibbakayācakānaṃ annaṃ pānaṃ vatthaṃ yānaṃ mālāgandhavilepanaṃ seyyāvasathapadīpeyyaṃ. Evaṃ kho, bhikkhave, puggalo padesavassī hoti.
「诸比库,人如何是局部降雨者?诸比库,这里,某人对某些人施与,对某些人不施与,对沙门、婆罗门、贫穷者、旅行者、乞讨者不施与食物、饮料、衣服、车乘、花鬘香料涂油、卧具住所灯烛。诸比库,人如此是局部降雨者。
‘‘Kathañca, bhikkhave, puggalo sabbatthābhivassī hoti? Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco puggalo sabbesaṃva deti, samaṇabrāhmaṇakapaṇaddhikavanibbakayācakānaṃ annaṃ pānaṃ vatthaṃ yānaṃ mālāgandhavilepanaṃ seyyāvasathapadīpeyyaṃ. Evaṃ kho, bhikkhave, puggalo sabbatthābhivassī hoti. Ime kho, bhikkhave, tayo puggalā santo saṃvijjamānā lokasmi’’nti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,人如何是遍处降雨者?诸比库,这里,某人对一切都施与,对沙门、婆罗门、贫穷者、旅行者、乞讨者施与食物、饮料、衣服、车乘、花鬘香料涂油、卧具住所灯烛。诸比库,人如此是遍处降雨者。诸比库,这三种人存在、见于世间。」世尊说此义。于此如是说——
‘‘Na samaṇe na brāhmaṇe, na kapaṇaddhikavanibbake;
「不对沙门、不对婆罗门、不对贫穷旅行乞讨者;
Laddhāna saṃvibhājeti, annaṃ pānañca bhojanaṃ;
他分享所得的食物、饮料和食品,
Taṃ ve avuṭṭhikasamoti, āhu naṃ purisādhamaṃ.

「对某些人不给予,对某些人施与,
Taṃ ve padesavassīti, āhu medhāvino janā.
智者们说那位为局部降雨者。
‘‘Subhikkhavāco puriso, sabbabhūtānukampako;
「言语慈善的人,对一切众生怜愍,
Āmodamāno pakireti, detha dethāti bhāsati.
欢喜地施舍,说着『施与、施与』。
‘‘Yathāpi megho thanayitvā, gajjayitvā pavassati;
「犹如云雷鸣后,轰隆作响而降雨,
Thalaṃ ninnañca pūreti, abhisandantova vārinā.
以水充满高地和低地,倾注而下。
‘‘Evameva idhekacco, puggalo hoti tādiso;
「如是,于此,某人是这样的;
Dhammena saṃharitvāna, uṭṭhānādhigataṃ dhanaṃ;
以如法聚集的,由精勤所得的财富;
Tappeti annapānena, sammā patte vanibbake’’ti.
以饮食满足正当到达的游方者。」

7. Sukhapatthanāsuttaṃ7. 乐愿经
§76
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Tīṇimāni, bhikkhave, sukhāni patthayamāno sīlaṃ rakkheyya paṇḍito. Katamāni tīṇi? Pasaṃsā me āgacchatūti sīlaṃ rakkheyya paṇḍito, bhogā me uppajjantūti sīlaṃ rakkheyya paṇḍito, kāyassa bhedā paraṃ maraṇā sugatiṃ saggaṃ lokaṃ upapajjissāmīti sīlaṃ rakkheyya paṇḍito. Imāni kho, bhikkhave, tīṇi sukhāni patthayamāno sīlaṃ rakkheyya paṇḍito’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!希求这三种乐,贤智者应守护戒。哪三种?『愿称赞来到我』,贤智者应守护戒;『愿财富生起于我』,贤智者应守护戒;『愿我身坏命终后,往生善趣、天界』,贤智者应守护戒。诸比库!希求这三种乐,贤智者应守护戒。」世尊说了这义。于此,如是说——
‘‘Sīlaṃ rakkheyya medhāvī, patthayāno tayo sukhe;
「具慧者应守护戒,希求三种乐;
Pasaṃsaṃ vittalābhañca, pecca sagge pamodanaṃ.
称赞与财富的获得,以及死后在天界的喜悦。」
‘‘Akarontopi ce pāpaṃ, karontamupasevati;
「即使自己不作恶,却亲近作恶者;
Saṅkiyo hoti pāpasmiṃ, avaṇṇo cassa rūhati.
他被怀疑为恶人,恶名也增长。
‘‘Yādisaṃ kurute mittaṃ, yādisaṃ cūpasevati;
「他结交什么样的朋友,亲近什么样的人;
Sa ve tādisako hoti, sahavāso hi tādiso.
他确实会变成那样,因为共住就是那样。
‘‘Sevamāno sevamānaṃ, samphuṭṭho samphusaṃ paraṃ;
「亲近者亲近亲近者,接触者接触他人;
Saro diddho kalāpaṃva, alittamupalimpati;
如涂毒的箭触及箭袋,污染未染者。
Upalepabhayā dhīro, neva pāpasakhā siyā.
智者因害怕污染,不应成为恶人的朋友。
‘‘Pūtimacchaṃ kusaggena, yo naro upanayhati;
「若有人用草尖,拿起腐烂的鱼;
Kusāpi pūti vāyanti, evaṃ bālūpasevanā.
草也散发恶臭,如此亲近愚者。
‘‘Tagarañca palāsena, yo naro upanayhati;
「以多伽罗与叶,若人包裹它;
Pattāpi surabhi vāyanti, evaṃ dhīrūpasevanā.
叶也散发香气,如此亲近智者。
‘‘Tasmā pattapuṭasseva , ñatvā sampākamattano;
「因此如叶包之,知道自己的成熟;
Asante nupaseveyya, sante seveyya paṇḍito;
不应亲近非善人,智者应亲近善人;
Asanto nirayaṃ nenti, santo pāpenti suggati’’nti.
非善人导向地狱,善人引导至善趣。」

8. Bhidurasuttaṃ8. 破裂经
§77
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,我如是听闻——
‘‘Bhidurāyaṃ , bhikkhave, kāyo, viññāṇaṃ virāgadhammaṃ, sabbe upadhī aniccā dukkhā vipariṇāmadhammā’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!此身是易坏的,识是离染之法,一切诸依是无常、苦、变易之法。」世尊说了此义。在那里如是说——
‘‘Kāyañca bhiduraṃ ñatvā, viññāṇañca virāgunaṃ ;
「知身易坏,识具离染;
Upadhīsu bhayaṃ disvā, jātimaraṇamaccagā;
见诸依中有怖畏,已超越生死;
Sampatvā paramaṃ santiṃ, kālaṃ kaṅkhati bhāvitatto’’ti.
达到最上寂静,已修习自己者等待时节。」

9. Dhātusosaṃsandanasuttaṃ9. 界流动经
§78

‘‘Dhātuso, bhikkhave, sattā sattehi saddhiṃ saṃsandanti samenti. Hīnādhimuttikā sattā hīnādhimuttikehi sattehi saddhiṃ saṃsandanti samenti, kalyāṇādhimuttikā sattā kalyāṇādhimuttikehi sattehi saddhiṃ saṃsandanti samenti.
「诸比库!众生依界而与众生相交往、相会合。意乐低劣的众生与意乐低劣的众生相交往、相会合,意乐善美的众生与意乐善美的众生相交往、相会合。
‘‘Atītampi, bhikkhave, addhānaṃ dhātusova sattā sattehi saddhiṃ saṃsandiṃsu samiṃsu. Hīnādhimuttikā sattā hīnādhimuttikehi sattehi saddhiṃ saṃsandiṃsu samiṃsu, kalyāṇādhimuttikā sattā kalyāṇādhimuttikehi sattehi saddhiṃ saṃsandiṃsu samiṃsu.

‘‘Etarahipi, bhikkhave, paccuppanaṃ addhānaṃ dhātusova sattā sattehi saddhiṃ saṃsandanti samenti. Hīnādhimuttikā sattā hīnādhimuttikehi sattehi saddhiṃ saṃsandanti samenti, kalyāṇādhimuttikā sattā kalyāṇādhimuttikehi sattehi saddhiṃ saṃsandanti samentī’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!现在时,众生也依界而与众生相会、相聚。劣意乐的众生与劣意乐的众生相会、相聚,善意乐的众生与善意乐的众生相会、相聚。」世尊说了此义。在那里这样说——
‘‘Saṃsaggā vanatho jāto, asaṃsaggena chijjati;
「由于结交而生染着,由于不结交而断除;」
Parittaṃ dārumāruyha, yathā sīde mahaṇṇave.
「攀附小木,如何在大海中沉没。」
‘‘Evaṃ kusītamāgamma, sādhujīvīpi sīdati;
「如是亲近懈怠者,善生活者也沉没;」
Tasmā taṃ parivajjeyya, kusītaṃ hīnavīriyaṃ.
「因此应避开彼,懈怠、劣精进者。」
‘‘Pavivittehi ariyehi, pahitattehi jhāyibhi;
「应与远离的圣者们,勤奋的禅修者们,」
Niccaṃ āraddhavīriyehi, paṇḍitehi sahāvase’’ti.
「常精进勤奋的,贤智者们共住。」

10. Parihānasuttaṃ10. 退失经
§79

‘‘Tayome, bhikkhave, dhammā sekhassa bhikkhuno parihānāya saṃvattanti. Katame tayo? Idha, bhikkhave, sekho bhikkhu kammārāmo hoti, kammarato, kammārāmatamanuyutto; bhassārāmo hoti, bhassarato, bhassārāmatamanuyutto; niddārāmo hoti, niddārato, niddārāmatamanuyutto. Ime kho, bhikkhave, tayo dhammā sekhassa bhikkhuno parihānāya saṃvattanti.
「诸比库!这三法导致有学比库的退失。哪三法?诸比库!在此,有学比库乐于事务、喜好事务、专注于乐于事务;乐于闲谈、喜好闲谈、专注于乐于闲谈;乐于睡眠、喜好睡眠、专注于乐于睡眠。诸比库!这三法导致有学比库的退失。」
‘‘Tayome, bhikkhave, dhammā sekhassa bhikkhuno aparihānāya saṃvattanti. Katame tayo? Idha, bhikkhave, sekho bhikkhu na kammārāmo hoti, na kammarato, na kammārāmatamanuyutto; na bhassārāmo hoti, na bhassarato, na bhassārāmatamanuyutto; na niddārāmo hoti, na niddārato , na niddārāmatamanuyutto. 「这样的比库不能够,证得无上正觉。」
‘‘Tasmā hi appakiccassa, appamiddho anuddhato;
「因此,事务少,少睡眠、不掉举,」
Bhabbo so tādiso bhikkhu, phuṭṭhuṃ sambodhimuttama’’nti.
「这样的比库能够,证得无上正觉。」

‘‘Tayome, bhikkhave, akusalavitakkā. Katame tayo? Anavaññattipaṭisaṃyutto vitakko, lābhasakkārasilokapaṭisaṃyutto vitakko, parānuddayatāpaṭisaṃyutto vitakko. Ime kho, bhikkhave, tayo akusalavitakkā’’ti . Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,有此三不善寻。哪三种?与不被知相应之寻、与利养恭敬名声相应之寻、与怜悯他人相应之寻。诸比库,此为三不善寻。」世尊说此义理。于此,如是说——
‘‘Anavaññattisaṃyutto, lābhasakkāragāravo;
「与不被知相应,利养恭敬之尊重;
Sahanandī amaccehi, ārā saṃyojanakkhayā.
与大臣们一起欢喜,远离诸结的灭尽。
‘‘Yo ca puttapasuṃ hitvā, vivāhe saṃharāni ca;
「舍弃子女、畜生,以及婚姻的积聚;
Bhabbo so tādiso bhikkhu, phuṭṭhuṃ sambodhimuttama’’nti.
如此的比库有能力,证得最上正觉。」

2. Sakkārasuttaṃ2. 恭敬经

‘‘Diṭṭhā mayā, bhikkhave, sattā sakkārena abhibhūtā, pariyādinnacittā, kāyassa bhedā paraṃ maraṇā apāyaṃ duggatiṃ vinipātaṃ nirayaṃ upapannā.
「诸比库!我见到众生被恭敬所征服,心被占据,身坏命终后,投生到苦界、恶趣、堕处、地狱。
‘‘Diṭṭhā mayā, bhikkhave, sattā asakkārena abhibhūtā, pariyādinnacittā, kāyassa bhedā paraṃ maraṇā apāyaṃ duggatiṃ vinipātaṃ nirayaṃ upapannā.
诸比库!我见到众生被不恭敬所征服,心被占据,身坏命终后,投生到苦界、恶趣、堕处、地狱。
‘‘Diṭṭhā mayā, bhikkhave, sattā sakkārena ca asakkārena ca tadubhayena abhibhūtā, pariyādinnacittā, kāyassa bhedā paraṃ maraṇā apāyaṃ duggatiṃ vinipātaṃ nirayaṃ upapannā.
诸比库!我见到众生被恭敬与不恭敬两者所征服,心被占据,身坏命终后,投生到苦界、恶趣、堕处、地狱。
‘‘Taṃ kho panāhaṃ, bhikkhave, nāññassa samaṇassa vā brāhmaṇassa vā sutvā vadāmi; ( ) api ca, bhikkhave, yadeva me sāmaṃ ñātaṃ sāmaṃ diṭṭhaṃ sāmaṃ viditaṃ tamevāhaṃ vadāmi.
「诸比库,我并非从其他沙门或婆罗门听闻而说;然而,诸比库,我只说我自己所知、自己所见、自己所证知的。
‘‘Diṭṭhā mayā, bhikkhave, sattā sakkārena abhibhūtā, pariyādinnacittā, kāyassa bhedā paraṃ maraṇā apāyaṃ duggatiṃ vinipātaṃ nirayaṃ upapannā.
「诸比库,我见到诸有情被恭敬所征服,心被占据,身坏命终后,投生到苦界、恶趣、堕处、地狱。

「那位持续禅修者,洞察微细见者;
Upādānakkhayārāmaṃ, āhu sappuriso itī’’ti.
「乐于灭尽执取者,他们称为善人。」

3. Devasaddasuttaṃ3. 天声经
§82

这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Tayome, bhikkhave, devesu devasaddā niccharanti samayā samayaṃ upādāya. Katame tayo? Yasmiṃ, bhikkhave, samaye ariyasāvako kesamassuṃ ohāretvā kāsāyāni vatthāni acchādetvā agārasmā anagāriyaṃ pabbajjāya ceteti, tasmiṃ samaye devesu devasaddo niccharati – ‘eso ariyasāvako mārena saddhiṃ saṅgāmāya cetetī’ti. Ayaṃ, bhikkhave, paṭhamo devesu devasaddo niccharati samayā samayaṃ upādāya.
「诸比库!这三种天声在诸天中时时发出。哪三种?诸比库!当圣弟子剃除须发,披着袈裟衣,从在家出家成为非家时,在那时诸天中发出天声——『这位圣弟子决意与魔战斗』。诸比库!这是第一种天声在诸天中时时发出。
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, bhikkhave, yasmiṃ samaye ariyasāvako sattannaṃ bodhipakkhiyānaṃ dhammānaṃ bhāvanānuyogamanuyutto viharati, tasmiṃ samaye devesu devasaddo niccharati – ‘eso ariyasāvako mārena saddhiṃ saṅgāmetī’ti. Ayaṃ, bhikkhave, dutiyo devesu devasaddo niccharati samayā samayaṃ upādāya.
「再者,诸比库!当圣弟子住于勤修七觉支的修习时,在那时诸天中发出天声——『这位圣弟子正在与魔战斗』。诸比库!这是第二种天声在诸天中时时发出。
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, bhikkhave, yasmiṃ samaye ariyasāvako āsavānaṃ khayā anāsavaṃ cetovimuttiṃ paññāvimuttiṃ diṭṭheva dhamme sayaṃ abhiññā sacchikatvā upasampajja viharati, tasmiṃ samaye devesu devasaddo niccharati – ‘eso ariyasāvako vijitasaṅgāmo tameva saṅgāmasīsaṃ abhivijiya ajjhāvasatī’ti. Ayaṃ, bhikkhave, tatiyo devesu devasaddo niccharati samayā samayaṃ upādāya. Ime kho, bhikkhave, tayo devesu devasaddā niccharanti samayā samayaṃ upādāyā’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「再者,诸比库!当圣弟子以诸漏尽,于现法自己以证智作证、具足住于无漏的心解脱、慧解脱时,在那时诸天中发出天声——『这位圣弟子已战胜战斗,征服了那战场之首而住』。诸比库!这是第三种天声在诸天中时时发出。诸比库!这三种天声在诸天中时时发出。」世尊说了这义。在那里如是说——
‘‘Disvā vijitasaṅgāmaṃ, sammāsambuddhasāvakaṃ;
「见到战胜战斗的正等正觉者的弟子,
Devatāpi namassanti, mahantaṃ vītasāradaṃ.
「诸天人也礼敬伟大的、离怖畏者。
‘‘Namo te purisājañña, yo tvaṃ dujjayamajjhabhū;
「礼敬你,人中之牛!你已征服难以征服者。
Jetvāna maccuno senaṃ, vimokkhena anāvaraṃ.
战胜了死魔之军,以无障碍的解脱。
‘‘Iti hetaṃ namassanti, devatā pattamānasaṃ;
「如此,诸天人礼敬他,已达意愿者;
Tañhi tassa na passanti, yena maccuvasaṃ vaje’’ti.
因为他们看不到那个,能使他落入死魔控制之下的。」

4. Pañcapubbanimittasuttaṃ4. 五前相经
§83
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Yadā, bhikkhave, devo devakāyā cavanadhammo hoti, pañcassa pubbanimittāni pātubhavanti – mālā milāyanti, vatthāni kilissanti, kacchehi sedā muccanti, kāye dubbaṇṇiyaṃ okkamati, sake devo devāsane nābhiramatīti. Tamenaṃ, bhikkhave, devā ‘cavanadhammo ayaṃ devaputto’ti iti viditvā tīhi vācāhi anumodenti – ‘ito, bho, sugatiṃ gaccha, sugatiṃ gantvā suladdhalābhaṃ labha, suladdhalābhaṃ labhitvā suppatiṭṭhito bhavāhī’’’ti.
「诸比库,当天人从天界应死亡时,他有五种前兆出现——花鬘枯萎、衣服污秽、从腋下流汗、身体出现恶色、天人在自己的天座上不再欢喜。诸比库,诸天人知道『这位天子应死亡』后,以三句话随喜他——『尊者,愿你从此去善趣,去善趣后愿你获得善得之得,获得善得之得后愿你善安住。』」
Evaṃ vutte, aññataro bhikkhu bhagavantaṃ etadavoca – ‘‘kinnu kho, bhante, devānaṃ sugatigamanasaṅkhātaṃ; kiñca, bhante, devānaṃ suladdhalābhasaṅkhātaṃ ; kiṃ pana, bhante, devānaṃ suppatiṭṭhitasaṅkhāta’’nti?
如是说已,某位比库对世尊如此说:「尊者,什么是诸天人的名为去善趣?尊者,什么是诸天人的名为善得之得?尊者,什么是诸天人的名为善安住?」
‘‘Manussattaṃ kho, bhikkhu , devānaṃ sugatigamanasaṅkhātaṃ; yaṃ manussabhūto samāno tathāgatappavedite dhammavinaye saddhaṃ paṭilabhati. Idaṃ kho, bhikkhu , devānaṃ suladdhalābhasaṅkhātaṃ; sā kho panassa saddhā niviṭṭhā hoti mūlajātā patiṭṭhitā daḷhā asaṃhāriyā samaṇena vā brāhmaṇena vā devena vā mārena vā brahmunā vā kenaci vā lokasmiṃ. Idaṃ kho, bhikkhu , devānaṃ suppatiṭṭhitasaṅkhāta’’nti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「比库,人身是诸天人的名为去善趣;当成为人后,在如来所宣说的法与律中获得信。比库,这是诸天人的名为善得之得;而且那信已深植、已生根、已确立、坚固、不能被沙门、婆罗门、天人、魔、梵天或世间任何人所动摇。比库,这是诸天人的名为善安住。」世尊说了这个义。在那里如此说——
‘‘Yadā devo devakāyā, cavati āyusaṅkhayā;
「当天人从天身,以寿命耗尽而死没时;
Tayo saddā niccharanti, devānaṃ anumodataṃ.
三种声音发出,诸天人随喜:
‘‘‘Ito bho sugatiṃ gaccha, manussānaṃ sahabyataṃ;
『尊者,从此去善趣,去人类的伴侣处;
Manussabhūto saddhamme, labha saddhaṃ anuttaraṃ.
成为人后,于正法中,获得无上的信;
‘‘‘Sā te saddhā niviṭṭhassa, mūlajātā patiṭṭhitā;
那信对你这安住者,已生根、已确立;
Yāvajīvaṃ asaṃhīrā, saddhamme suppavedite.
终生不动摇,于善说的正法中。
‘‘‘Kāyaduccaritaṃ hitvā, vacīduccaritāni ca;
舍断身恶行,以及诸语恶行;
Manoduccaritaṃ hitvā, yañcaññaṃ dosasañhitaṃ.
舍断意恶行,以及任何与嗔相应的;
‘‘‘Kāyena kusalaṃ katvā, vācāya kusalaṃ bahuṃ;
「以身作善,以语作多善;
Manasā kusalaṃ katvā, appamāṇaṃ nirūpadhiṃ.
以意作善,无量无依。
‘‘‘Tato opadhikaṃ puññaṃ, katvā dānena taṃ bahuṃ;
「然后以布施作有依的福德,那众多;
Aññepi macce saddhamme, brahmacariye nivesaya’ .
也令其他众生安住于正法、梵行。」
‘‘Imāya anukampāya, devā devaṃ yadā vidū;
「当诸天以此悲悯,知道天人;
Cavantaṃ anumodenti, ehi deva punappuna’’nti.
他们随喜正在死去者:『来吧,天人,一次又一次。』」

5. Bahujanahitasuttaṃ5. 众人利益经
§84
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Tayome puggalā loke uppajjamānā uppajjanti bahujanahitāya bahujanasukhāya lokānukampāya atthāya hitāya sukhāya devamanussānaṃ. Katame tayo? Idha, bhikkhave, tathāgato loke uppajjati arahaṃ sammāsambuddho vijjācaraṇasampanno sugato lokavidū anuttaro purisadammasārathi satthā devamanussānaṃ buddho bhagavā. So dhammaṃ deseti ādikalyāṇaṃ majjhekalyāṇaṃ pariyosānakalyāṇaṃ sātthaṃ sabyañjanaṃ, kevalaparipuṇṇaṃ parisuddhaṃ brahmacariyaṃ pakāseti. Ayaṃ, bhikkhave, paṭhamo puggalo loke uppajjamāno uppajjati bahujanahitāya bahujanasukhāya lokānukampāya atthāya hitāya sukhāya devamanussānaṃ.
「诸比库,这三种人出现于世间时,是为了众人的利益、为了众人的快乐、为了悲悯世间、为了天人的义利、利益与快乐而出现。哪三种?诸比库,于此,如来出现于世间,是阿拉汉、正等正觉者、明行具足者、善逝、世间解、无上调御丈夫、天人师、佛、世尊。他教导初善、中善、后善的法,有义、有文,显示完全圆满、清净的梵行。诸比库,这是第一种人出现于世间时,是为了众人的利益、为了众人的快乐、为了悲悯世间、为了天人的义利、利益与快乐而出现。」
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, bhikkhave, tasseva satthu sāvako arahaṃ hoti khīṇāsavo vusitavā katakaraṇīyo ohitabhāro anuppattasadattho parikkhīṇabhavasaṃyojano sammadaññā vimutto. So dhammaṃ deseti ādikalyāṇaṃ majjhekalyāṇaṃ pariyosānakalyāṇaṃ sātthaṃ sabyañjanaṃ, kevalaparipuṇṇaṃ parisuddhaṃ brahmacariyaṃ pakāseti. Ayaṃ, bhikkhave, dutiyo puggalo loke uppajjamāno uppajjati bahujanahitāya bahujanasukhāya lokānukampāya atthāya hitāya sukhāya devamanussānaṃ.
「再者,诸比库,那位导师的弟子是阿拉汉,诸漏已尽,已修习完毕,应作已作,已舍重担,已达自己的目标,已尽有结,以正智而解脱。他教导初善、中善、后善的法,有义、有文,显示完全圆满、清净的梵行。诸比库,这是第二种人出现于世间时,是为了众人的利益、为了众人的快乐、为了悲悯世间、为了天人的义利、利益与快乐而出现。」

「再者,诸比库,那位导师的弟子是有学、在道者、多闻、达上德。他也教导初善、中善、后善的法,有义、有文,显示完全圆满、清净的梵行。诸比库,这是第三种人出现于世间时,是为了众人的利益、为了众人的快乐、为了悲悯世间、为了天人的义利、利益与快乐而出现。诸比库,这三种人出现于世间时,是为了众人的利益、为了众人的快乐、为了悲悯世间、为了天人的义利、利益与快乐而出现。」世尊说了这个义理。在那里这样说——
‘‘Satthā hi loke paṭhamo mahesi, tassanvayo sāvako bhāvitatto;
「导师确实是世间第一大仙,其次是已修习自己的弟子;」
Athāparo pāṭipadopi sekho, bahussuto sīlavatūpapanno.
「然后另一位在道的有学者,多闻、达上德。」
‘‘Ete tayo devamanussaseṭṭhā, pabhaṅkarā dhammamudīrayantā;
「这三位天人中的最胜者,是光明者,宣说法;」
Apāpuranti amatassa dvāraṃ, yogā pamocenti hujjanaṃ te.
「他们到达不死的门,从轭中解脱众人。」
‘‘Ye satthavāhena anuttarena, sudesitaṃ maggamanukkamanti ;
「那些依无上导师善说的道而行的人;」
Idheva dukkhassa karonti antaṃ, ye appamattā sugatassa sāsane’’ti.
就在此处,他们对善逝的教诫不放逸者,作苦的终结。

6. Asubhānupassīsuttaṃ6. 随观不净经
§85
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Asubhānupassī, bhikkhave, kāyasmiṃ viharatha; ānāpānassati ca vo ajjhattaṃ parimukhaṃ sūpaṭṭhitā hotu; sabbasaṅkhāresu aniccānupassino viharatha. Asubhānupassīnaṃ, bhikkhave, kāyasmiṃ viharataṃ yo subhāya dhātuyā rāgānusayo so pahīyati . Ānāpānassatiyā ajjhattaṃ parimukhaṃ sūpaṭṭhititāya ye bāhirā vitakkāsayā vighātapakkhikā, te na honti. Sabbasaṅkhāresu aniccānupassīnaṃ viharataṃ yā avijjā sā pahīyati, yā vijjā sā uppajjatī’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,你们应住于身随观须跋;你们的入出息念应善现起于内、于口边;你们应住于一切诸行随观无常。诸比库,住于身随观须跋者,对净界的贪随眠被舍断。入出息念善现起于内、于口边时,外在的、属于寻的、属于障碍方面的诸随眠不存在。住于一切诸行随观无常者,无明被舍断,明生起。」世尊说了这个义。在那里如是说——
‘‘Asubhānupassī kāyasmiṃ, ānāpāne paṭissato;
「身随观须跋,念于入出息;
Sabbasaṅkhārasamathaṃ, passaṃ ātāpi sabbadā.
见一切行寂止,热诚者常时。
‘‘Sa ve sammaddaso bhikkhu, yato tattha vimuccati;
彼比库正见者,从那里解脱时;
Abhiññāvosito santo, sa ve yogātigo munī’’ti.
以证智达寂静,彼牟尼超越轭。」

‘‘Dhammānudhammapaṭipannassa bhikkhuno ayamanudhammo hoti veyyākaraṇāya – dhammānudhammapaṭipannoyanti bhāsamāno dhammaññeva bhāsati no adhammaṃ, vitakkayamāno vā dhammavitakkaññeva vitakketi no adhammavitakkaṃ, tadubhayaṃ vā pana abhinivejjetvā upekkhako viharati sato sampajāno’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「对于随法而行的比库,这是随法的分别论——说『随法而行』时,他只说法而不说非法,思惟时只思惟法的思惟而不思惟非法的思惟,或者舍弃这两者之后,他具念、正知地住于舍。」世尊说了这个义理。在那里这样说——
‘‘Dhammārāmo dhammarato, dhammaṃ anuvicintayaṃ;
「乐于法、喜爱法,思惟法,
Dhammaṃ anussaraṃ bhikkhu, saddhammā na parihāyati.
忆念法的比库,不会从正法退失。
‘‘Caraṃ vā yadi vā tiṭṭhaṃ, nisinno uda vā sayaṃ;
无论行走或站立,坐着或躺卧,
Ajjhattaṃ samayaṃ cittaṃ, santimevādhigacchatī’’ti.
内心平静的人,确实证得寂静。」

‘‘Tayome , bhikkhave, akusalavitakkā andhakaraṇā acakkhukaraṇā aññāṇakaraṇā paññānirodhikā vighātapakkhikā anibbānasaṃvattanikā . Katame tayo? Kāmavitakko, bhikkhave, andhakaraṇo acakkhukaraṇo aññāṇakaraṇo paññānirodhiko vighātapakkhiko anibbānasaṃvattaniko. Byāpādavitakko, bhikkhave, andhakaraṇo acakkhukaraṇo aññāṇakaraṇo paññānirodhiko vighātapakkhiko anibbānasaṃvattaniko. Vihiṃsāvitakko, bhikkhave, andhakaraṇo acakkhukaraṇo aññāṇakaraṇo paññānirodhiko vighātapakkhiko anibbānasaṃvattaniko. Ime kho, bhikkhave, tayo akusalavitakkā andhakaraṇā acakkhukaraṇā aññāṇakaraṇā paññānirodhikā vighātapakkhikā anibbānasaṃvattanikā.
「诸比库,这三种不善寻是令盲者、令无眼者、令无智者、障慧者、属恼害边者、不导向涅槃者。哪三种?诸比库,欲寻是令盲者、令无眼者、令无智者、障慧者、属恼害边者、不导向涅槃者。诸比库,嗔寻是令盲者、令无眼者、令无智者、障慧者、属恼害边者、不导向涅槃者。诸比库,害寻是令盲者、令无眼者、令无智者、障慧者、属恼害边者、不导向涅槃者。诸比库,这三种不善寻是令盲者、令无眼者、令无智者、障慧者、属恼害边者、不导向涅槃者。」
‘‘Tayome, bhikkhave, kusalavitakkā anandhakaraṇā cakkhukaraṇā ñāṇakaraṇā paññāvuddhikā avighātapakkhikā nibbānasaṃvattanikā. Katame tayo? Nekkhammavitakko, bhikkhave, anandhakaraṇo cakkhukaraṇo ñāṇakaraṇo paññāvuddhiko avighātapakkhiko nibbānasaṃvattaniko. Abyāpādavitakko, bhikkhave, anandhakaraṇo cakkhukaraṇo ñāṇakaraṇo paññāvuddhiko avighātapakkhiko nibbānasaṃvattaniko. Avihiṃsāvitakko, bhikkhave, anandhakaraṇo cakkhukaraṇo ñāṇakaraṇo paññāvuddhiko avighātapakkhiko nibbānasaṃvattaniko. Ime kho, bhikkhave, tayo kusalavitakkā anandhakaraṇā cakkhukaraṇā ñāṇakaraṇā paññāvuddhikā avighātapakkhikā nibbānasaṃvattanikā’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,这三种善寻是令不盲者、令有眼者、令有智者、增长慧者、属不恼害边者、导向涅槃者。哪三种?诸比库,出离寻是令不盲者、令有眼者、令有智者、增长慧者、属不恼害边者、导向涅槃者。诸比库,无嗔寻是令不盲者、令有眼者、令有智者、增长慧者、属不恼害边者、导向涅槃者。诸比库,无害寻是令不盲者、令有眼者、令有智者、增长慧者、属不恼害边者、导向涅槃者。诸比库,这三种善寻是令不盲者、令有眼者、令有智者、增长慧者、属不恼害边者、导向涅槃者。」这是世尊所说之义。在那里如是说——
‘‘Tayo vitakke kusale vitakkaye, tayo pana akusale nirākare;
「应寻思三种善寻,应舍离三种不善寻;」
Sa ve vitakkāni vicāritāni, sameti vuṭṭhīva rajaṃ samūhataṃ;
「他已遍寻思诸寻,如已息止尘埃之雨;」
Sa ve vitakkūpasamena cetasā, idheva so santipadaṃ samajjhagā’’ti.
「他以心之寻止息,就在此处证得寂静之境。」

9. Antarāmalasuttaṃ9. 中间垢经

‘‘Tayome, bhikkhave, antarāmalā antarāamittā antarāsapattā antarāvadhakā antarāpaccatthikā. Katame tayo? Lobho, bhikkhave, antarāmalo antarāamitto antarāsapatto antarāvadhako antarāpaccatthiko. Doso, bhikkhave, antarāmalo antarāamitto antarāsapatto antarāvadhako antarāpaccatthiko. Moho, bhikkhave, antarāmalo antarāamitto antarāsapatto antarāvadhako antarāpaccatthiko. Ime kho, bhikkhave, tayo antarāmalā antarāamittā antarāsapattā antarāvadhakā antarāpaccatthikā’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,这三种是内垢、内敌、内怨、内杀者、内对敌。哪三种?诸比库,贪是内垢、内敌、内怨、内杀者、内对敌。诸比库,嗔是内垢、内敌、内怨、内杀者、内对敌。诸比库,痴是内垢、内敌、内怨、内杀者、内对敌。诸比库,这三种是内垢、内敌、内怨、内杀者、内对敌。」世尊说了此义。在那里这样说——
‘‘Anatthajanano lobho, lobho cittappakopano;
「贪生起无义利,贪扰乱心;
Bhayamantarato jātaṃ, taṃ jano nāvabujjhati.
从内生起的怖畏,人们不了知它。
‘‘Luddho atthaṃ na jānāti, luddho dhammaṃ na passati;
贪者不知义利,贪者不见法;
Andhatamaṃ tadā hoti, yaṃ lobho sahate naraṃ.
当贪征服人时,那时即是盲暗。
‘‘Yo ca lobhaṃ pahantvāna, lobhaneyye na lubbhati;
舍断贪者,于应贪处不贪;
Lobho pahīyate tamhā, udabindūva pokkharā.
贪从他断除,如水滴从莲叶。
‘‘Anatthajanano doso, doso cittappakopano;
嗔生起无义利,嗔扰乱心;
Bhayamantarato jātaṃ, taṃ jano nāvabujjhati.
恐怖从内心生起,人们不了知它。
‘‘Duṭṭho atthaṃ na jānāti, duṭṭho dhammaṃ na passati;
「嗔恨者不知利益,嗔恨者不见法;
Andhatamaṃ tadā hoti, yaṃ doso sahate naraṃ.
当嗔恨征服人时,那时即是盲暗。
‘‘Yo ca dosaṃ pahantvāna, dosaneyye na dussati;
「凡舍断嗔恨者,对应嗔之事不嗔恨;
Doso pahīyate tamhā, tālapakkaṃva bandhanā.
嗔恨从他舍断,如多罗果从束缚。
‘‘Anatthajanano moho, moho cittappakopano;
「痴是产生无利益者,痴是扰乱心者;
Bhayamantarato jātaṃ, taṃ jano nāvabujjhati.
恐怖从内心生起,人们不了知它。
‘‘Mūḷho atthaṃ na jānāti, mūḷho dhammaṃ na passati;
「愚痴者不知利益,愚痴者不见法;
Andhatamaṃ tadā hoti, yaṃ moho sahate naraṃ.
那时对于被痴所征服的人来说,是盲暗。
‘‘Yo ca mohaṃ pahantvāna, mohaneyye na muyhati;
「凡舍断痴者,不迷惑于应被痴所迷惑之事;
Mohaṃ vihanti so sabbaṃ, ādiccovudayaṃ tama’’nti.
他破除一切痴,如太阳破除黑暗。」

10. Devadattasuttaṃ10. 迭瓦达德经

这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Tīhi, bhikkhave, asaddhammehi abhibhūto pariyādinnacitto devadatto āpāyiko nerayiko kappaṭṭho atekiccho. Katamehi tīhi? Pāpicchatāya, bhikkhave, abhibhūto pariyādinnacitto devadatto āpāyiko nerayiko kappaṭṭho atekiccho. Pāpamittatāya, bhikkhave, abhibhūto pariyādinnacitto devadatto āpāyiko nerayiko kappaṭṭho atekiccho. Sati kho pana uttarikaraṇīye oramattakena visesādhigamena antarā vosānaṃ āpādi. Imehi kho, bhikkhave, tīhi asaddhammehi abhibhūto pariyādinnacitto devadatto āpāyiko nerayiko kappaṭṭho atekiccho’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!被三种非正法所征服、心被遍取的迭瓦达德,是堕恶趣者、地狱有情、住劫者、无救者。哪三种?诸比库!被恶欲所征服、心被遍取的迭瓦达德,是堕恶趣者、地狱有情、住劫者、无救者。诸比库!被恶友所征服、心被遍取的迭瓦达德,是堕恶趣者、地狱有情、住劫者、无救者。当有应更作之事时,以下劣的殊胜证得,中途达到止息。诸比库!被这三种非正法所征服、心被遍取的迭瓦达德,是堕恶趣者、地狱有情、住劫者、无救者。」世尊说了这义理。在那里如是说——
‘‘Mā jātu koci lokasmiṃ, pāpiccho udapajjatha;
「愿世间任何人,切勿生起恶欲;
Tadamināpi jānātha, pāpicchānaṃ yathā gati.
以此也应知,恶欲者的去处如何。
‘‘Paṇḍitoti samaññāto, bhāvitattoti sammato;
「被称为智者,被认为已修习自己;
Jalaṃva yasasā aṭṭhā, devadattoti vissuto .
以名声而光辉灿烂,被称为迭瓦达德。
‘‘So pamāṇamanuciṇṇo , āsajja naṃ tathāgataṃ;
他行于慢,冒犯了如来;
Avīcinirayaṃ patto, catudvāraṃ bhayānakaṃ.
到达了无间地狱,四门可怖的。
‘‘Aduṭṭhassa hi yo dubbhe, pāpakammaṃ akubbato;
对于无嗔者,若嗔恨,对于不作恶业者;
Tameva pāpaṃ phusati , duṭṭhacittaṃ anādaraṃ.
那恶正触及,心怀嗔恨、不恭敬者。
‘‘Samuddaṃ visakumbhena, yo maññeyya padūsituṃ;
若有人想以毒瓶,污染大海;
Na so tena padūseyya, bhesmā hi udadhi mahā.
他不能以此污染它,因为大海广大。
‘‘Evameva tathāgataṃ, yo vādena vihiṃsati;
「同样地,对于如来,若以诤论伤害;
Sammaggataṃ santacittaṃ, vādo tamhi na rūhati.
已正行道、心寂静者,诤论于彼不生起。
‘‘Tādisaṃ mittaṃ kubbetha, tañca seveyya paṇḍito;
「应结交这样的朋友,智者应亲近他;
Yassa maggānugo bhikkhu, khayaṃ dukkhassa pāpuṇe’’ti.
随顺其道的比库,得以到达苦的灭尽。」

‘‘Tayome, bhikkhave, aggappasādā. Katame tayo? Yāvatā, bhikkhave, sattā apadā vā dvipadā vā catuppadā vā bahuppadā vā rūpino vā arūpino vā saññino vā asaññino vā nevasaññināsaññino vā, tathāgato tesaṃ aggamakkhāyati arahaṃ sammāsambuddho . Ye, bhikkhave, buddhe pasannā, agge te pasannā. Agge kho pana pasannānaṃ aggo vipāko hoti.
「诸比库!有此三最上净信。哪三种?诸比库!凡有众生,无足的、二足的、四足的、多足的、有色的、无色的、有想的、无想的、非想非非想的,如来被称为他们当中的最上者、阿拉汉、正等正觉者。诸比库!凡对佛净信者,他们是对最上者净信。对最上者净信者,有最上的果报。
‘‘Yāvatā, bhikkhave, dhammā saṅkhatā vā asaṅkhatā vā, virāgo tesaṃ aggamakkhāyati, yadidaṃ madanimmadano pipāsavinayo ālayasamugghāto vaṭṭupacchedo taṇhakkhayo virāgo nirodho nibbānaṃ. Ye, bhikkhave, virāge dhamme pasannā, agge te pasannā. Agge kho pana pasannānaṃ aggo vipāko hoti.
「诸比库!凡有诸法,有为的或无为的,离贪被称为它们当中的最上者,即:醉的调伏、渴的去除、依的根除、轮回的断绝、渴爱的灭尽、离贪、灭、涅槃。诸比库!凡对离贪法净信者,他们是对最上者净信。对最上者净信者,有最上的果报。
‘‘Yāvatā , bhikkhave, saṅghā vā gaṇā vā, tathāgatasāvakasaṅgho tesaṃ aggamakkhāyati, yadidaṃ cattāri purisayugāni aṭṭha purisapuggalā esa bhagavato sāvakasaṅgho āhuneyyo pāhuneyyo dakkhiṇeyyo añjalikaraṇīyo anuttaraṃ puññakkhettaṃ lokassa. Ye, bhikkhave, saṅghe pasannā, agge te pasannā. Agge kho pana pasannānaṃ aggo vipāko hoti. Ime kho, bhikkhave, tayo aggappasādā’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!凡有僧团或团体,如来声闻僧团被称为他们当中的最上者,即:四双人、八辈人,这世尊的声闻僧团是应供养者、应供奉者、应施与者、应合掌者、世间的无上福田。诸比库!凡对僧团净信者,他们是对最上者净信。对最上者净信者,有最上的果报。诸比库!这些是三最上净信。」世尊说了此义。在那里如是说——
‘‘Aggato ve pasannānaṃ, aggaṃ dhammaṃ vijānataṃ;
「对最上者净信者,了知最上法;
Agge buddhe pasannānaṃ, dakkhiṇeyye anuttare.
「对最上的佛净信者,对无上的应施与者。
‘‘Agge dhamme pasannānaṃ, virāgūpasame sukhe;
「对最上的法净信者,对离贪、寂止、乐。
Agge saṅghe pasannānaṃ, puññakkhette anuttare.
对僧团有信心者中最上,在无上的福田中。
‘‘Aggasmiṃ dānaṃ dadataṃ, aggaṃ puññaṃ pavaḍḍhati;
「对最上者布施,最上的福德增长;
Aggaṃ āyu ca vaṇṇo ca, yaso kitti sukhaṃ balaṃ.
最上的寿命、容色、名声、声誉、快乐、力量。
‘‘Aggassa dātā medhāvī, aggadhammasamāhito;
「有慧者布施于最上者,安住于最上法;
Devabhūto manusso vā, aggappatto pamodatī’’ti.
无论成为天人或人,到达最上而欢喜。」
Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti. Paṭhamaṃ.
这义理也是世尊所说,如是我闻。第一。
2. Jīvikasuttaṃ2. 命经
§91
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Antamidaṃ, bhikkhave, jīvikānaṃ yadidaṃ piṇḍolyaṃ. Abhisāpoyaṃ , bhikkhave, lokasmiṃ – ‘piṇḍolo vicarasi pattapāṇī’ti. Tañca kho etaṃ, bhikkhave, kulaputtā upenti atthavasikā, atthavasaṃ paṭicca; neva rājābhinītā, na corābhinītā, na iṇaṭṭā, na bhayaṭṭā, na ājīvikāpakatā. Api ca kho ‘otiṇṇamhā jātiyā jarāya maraṇena sokehi paridevehi dukkhehi domanassehi upāyāsehi dukkhotiṇṇā dukkhaparetā , appeva nāma imassa kevalassa dukkhakkhandhassa antakiriyā paññāyethā’ti. Evaṃ pabbajito cāyaṃ, bhikkhave, kulaputto so ca hoti abhijjhālu kāmesu tibbasārāgo, byāpannacitto paduṭṭhamanasaṅkappo, muṭṭhassati asampajāno asamāhito vibbhantacitto pākatindriyo. Seyyathāpi, bhikkhave, chavālātaṃ ubhatopadittaṃ majjhe gūthagataṃ neva gāme kaṭṭhatthaṃ pharati na araññeः tathūpamāhaṃ, bhikkhave, imaṃ puggalaṃ vadāmi gihibhogā parihīno sāmaññatthañca na paripūretī’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,这是生计中最下的,即托钵乞食。诸比库,在世间这是一种诅咒——『你手持钵游行乞食』。然而,诸比库,善男子们为了义利而从事此,依于义利;既非被国王所驱使,也非被盗贼所驱使,非因负债,非因恐惧,也非因生计所迫。而是『我们被生、老、死、愁、悲、苦、忧、恼所淹没,被苦所淹没,被苦所围困,或许这整个苦蕴的灭尽能被了知』。诸比库,这善男子如此出家,但他却贪婪,对诸欲有强烈的贪染,心怀嗔恨,意念恶毒,失念,不正知,不得定,心散乱,诸根放逸。诸比库,譬如火葬用的柴两端燃烧,中间沾满粪便,既不能在村中当柴用,也不能在林中当柴用;诸比库,我说此人如此譬喻——从在家的享受中退失,也未圆满沙门的目标。」世尊说了这义理。在那里如是说——
‘‘Gihibhogā parihīno, sāmaññatthañca dubbhago;
「在家的财富已衰退,沙门的目的也未达成;
Paridhaṃsamāno pakireti, chavālātaṃva nassati.
他毁坏自己而散失,如同尸体的火把般消失。
‘‘Kāsāvakaṇṭhā bahavo, pāpadhammā asaññatā;
「许多身披袈裟者,具恶法而不自制;
Pāpā pāpehi kammehi, nirayaṃ te upapajjare.
诸恶者以诸恶业,他们将投生地狱。
‘‘Seyyo ayoguḷo bhutto, tatto aggisikhūpamo;
「宁可吞食烧热的铁丸,如火焰般炽热;
Yañce bhuñjeyya dussīlo, raṭṭhapiṇḍamasaññato’’ti.
胜过破戒者不自制,食用国土的施食。」

此义也是世尊所说,如是我闻。第二经。
3. Saṅghāṭikaṇṇasuttaṃ3. 桑喀帝衣角经
§92
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
此确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Saṅghāṭikaṇṇe cepi, bhikkhave , bhikkhu gahetvā piṭṭhito piṭṭhito anubandho assa pāde pādaṃ nikkhipanto, so ca hoti abhijjhālu kāmesu tibbasārāgo byāpannacitto paduṭṭhamanasaṅkappo muṭṭhassati asampajāno asamāhito vibbhantacitto pākatindriyo; atha kho so ārakāva mayhaṃ, ahañca tassa. Taṃ kissa hetu? Dhammañhi so, bhikkhave, bhikkhu na passati. Dhammaṃ apassanto na maṃ passati .
「诸比库!即使比库抓住桑喀帝的一角,一步一步地跟随在后面,但他若是贪求者、对诸欲有强烈贪欲、有嗔恨心、有恶意寻、失念、不正知、不得定、心散乱、诸根不防护,那么他离我很远,我也离他很远。那是什么原因呢?诸比库!因为那位比库不见法。不见法者,不见我。」
‘‘Yojanasate cepi so, bhikkhave, bhikkhu vihareyya. So ca hoti anabhijjhālu kāmesu na tibbasārāgo abyāpannacitto apaduṭṭhamanasaṅkappo upaṭṭhitassati sampajāno samāhito ekaggacitto saṃvutindriyo; atha kho so santikeva mayhaṃ, ahañca tassa. Taṃ kissa hetu? Dhammaṃ hi so, bhikkhave, bhikkhu passati; dhammaṃ passanto maṃ passatī’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!即使那位比库住在百由旬之外,但他若是不贪求者、对诸欲无强烈贪欲、无嗔恨心、无恶意寻、念已现起、正知、得定、心一境性、诸根已防护,那么他就在我近旁,我也在他近旁。那是什么原因呢?诸比库!因为那位比库见法;见法者,见我。」世尊说了此义。在那里如是说——
‘‘Anubandhopi ce assa, mahiccho ca vighātavā;
「即使跟随,若是大欲者且有恼害者;」
Ejānugo anejassa, nibbutassa anibbuto;
「动摇者跟随不动者,未涅槃者跟随已涅槃者;」
Giddho so vītagedhassa, passa yāvañca ārakā.
「贪婪者跟随离贪者,看他离得多么远。」
‘‘Yo ca dhammamabhiññāya, dhammamaññāya paṇḍito;
「若智者证知法,了知法;」
Rahadova nivāte ca, anejo vūpasammati.
「如无风处的湖,不动者得寂止。」
‘‘Anejo so anejassa, nibbutassa ca nibbuto;
「不动者跟随不动者,已涅槃者跟随已涅槃者;」
Agiddho vītagedhassa, passa yāvañca santike’’ti.
无贪者已离贪欲,看吧,他是多么寂静!」
Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti. Tatiyaṃ.
这义也是世尊所说,我如是听闻。第三经。
4. Aggisuttaṃ4. 火经
§93
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,我如是听闻——
‘‘Tayome, bhikkhave, aggī. Katame tayo? Rāgaggi, dosaggi, mohaggi – ime kho, bhikkhave, tayo aggī’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,有这三火。哪三种?贪火、嗔火、痴火——诸比库,这是三火。」世尊说了这个义。在那里,如是说——
‘‘Rāgaggi dahati macce, ratte kāmesu mucchite;
「贪火燃烧诸死者,染着于诸欲而迷醉;
Dosaggi pana byāpanne, nare pāṇātipātino.
嗔火则燃烧嗔恚者,杀害生命的人们。
‘‘Mohaggi pana sammūḷhe, ariyadhamme akovide;
「痴火则燃烧愚痴者,不善巧于圣法;
Ete aggī ajānantā, sakkāyābhiratā pajā.
不了知这些火的众生,乐着于有身。
‘‘Te vaḍḍhayanti nirayaṃ, tiracchānañca yoniyo;
「他们增长地狱、畜生趣,
Asuraṃ pettivisayaṃ, amuttā mārabandhanā.
阿苏罗、饿鬼界,未脱离魔的束缚。
‘‘Ye ca rattindivā yuttā, sammāsambuddhasāsane;
「而那些日夜精勤于正等正觉者教法的人,
Te nibbāpenti rāgaggiṃ, niccaṃ asubhasaññino.
他们熄灭贪火,常具须跋想。
‘‘Dosaggiṃ pana mettāya, nibbāpenti naruttamā;
「以慈熄灭嗔火,人中至上者们,
Mohaggiṃ pana paññāya, yāyaṃ nibbedhagāminī.
以慧熄灭痴火,此慧导向通达。
‘‘Te nibbāpetvā nipakā, rattindivamatanditā;
「他们熄灭后,贤明者日夜不懈怠,
Asesaṃ parinibbanti, asesaṃ dukkhamaccaguṃ.
无余般涅槃,无余超越苦。」
‘‘Ariyaddasā vedaguno, sammadaññāya paṇḍitā;
「具圣见、具吠陀德的智者们,正确地了知,
Jātikkhayamabhiññāya, nāgacchanti punabbhava’’nti.
证知生的灭尽,不再来后有。」

5. Upaparikkhasuttaṃ5. 遍察经
§94
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Tathā tathā, bhikkhave, bhikkhu upaparikkheyya yathā yathāssa upaparikkhato bahiddhā cassa viññāṇaṃ avikkhittaṃ avisaṭaṃ ajjhattaṃ asaṇṭhitaṃ anupādāya na paritasseyya. Bahiddhā, bhikkhave, viññāṇe avikkhitte avisaṭe sati ajjhattaṃ asaṇṭhite anupādāya aparitassato āyatiṃ jātijarāmaraṇadukkhasamudayasambhavo na hotī’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!比库应如此如此地观察:当他如此如此观察时,他的识在外不散乱、不散漫,在内不住立,由于不执取而不战栗。诸比库!当识在外不散乱、不散漫,在内不住立,由于不执取而不战栗时,未来生老死苦集的生起就不存在。」世尊说了这义理。在那里如此说——
‘‘Sattasaṅgappahīnassa, netticchinnassa bhikkhuno;
「对于已舍断七结、已断网的比库,
Vikkhīṇo jātisaṃsāro, natthi tassa punabbhavo’’ti.
生的轮回已尽,对他不再有后有。」

这义理也是世尊所说,如是我闻。第五。
6. Kāmūpapattisuttaṃ6. 欲生经
§95
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,我如是听闻——
‘‘Tisso imā, bhikkhave, kāmūpapattiyo . Katamā tisso? Paccupaṭṭhitakāmā, nimmānaratino , paranimmitavasavattino – imā kho, bhikkhave, tisso kāmūpapattiyo’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!有这三种欲生。哪三种?现前欲者、化乐天、他化自在天——诸比库!这是三种欲生。」世尊说了此义。在那里如是说——
‘‘Paccupaṭṭhitakāmā ca, ye devā vasavattino;
「现前欲者,以及自在天人;
Nimmānaratino devā, ye caññe kāmabhogino;
化乐天人,以及其他享受欲乐者;
Itthabhāvaññathābhāvaṃ , saṃsāraṃ nātivattare.
不能超越轮回,此有与彼有。
‘‘Etamādīnavaṃ ñatvā, kāmabhogesu paṇḍito;
「知此过患后,贤智者于诸欲乐中;
Sabbe pariccaje kāme, ye dibbā ye ca mānusā.
舍断一切欲,天的与人的。
‘‘Piyarūpasātagadhitaṃ , chetvā sotaṃ duraccayaṃ;
「切断难以超越的流,执着于可爱相与适意;
Asesaṃ parinibbanti, asesaṃ dukkhamaccaguṃ.
他们无余般涅槃,无余超越了苦。
‘‘Ariyaddasā vedaguno, sammadaññāya paṇḍitā;
「具圣见、具吠陀德的智者们,正确了知后,
Jātikkhayamabhiññāya, nāgacchanti punabbhava’’nti.
证知生的灭尽,不再来后有。」

7. Kāmayogasuttaṃ7. 欲轭经
§96
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Kāmayogayutto, bhikkhave, bhavayogayutto āgāmī hoti āgantā itthattaṃ. Kāmayogavisaṃyutto, bhikkhave, bhavayogayutto anāgāmī hoti anāgantā itthattaṃ. Kāmayogavisaṃyutto, bhikkhave, bhavayogavisaṃyutto arahā hoti, khīṇāsavo’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!与欲轭相应、与有轭相应者,是来者,来此状态。诸比库!离欲轭、与有轭相应者,是不来者,不来此状态。诸比库!离欲轭、离有轭者,是阿拉汉,漏尽者。」世尊说了这个义。在那里如是说——
‘‘Kāmayogena saṃyuttā, bhavayogena cūbhayaṃ;
「与欲轭相应,与有轭两者,
Sattā gacchanti saṃsāraṃ, jātimaraṇagāmino.
众生去轮回,趣向生与死。
‘‘Ye ca kāme pahantvāna, appattā āsavakkhayaṃ;
「诸舍断诸欲者,未达漏尽,
Bhavayogena saṃyuttā, anāgāmīti vuccare.
与有轭相应者,被称为不来。
‘‘Ye ca kho chinnasaṃsayā, khīṇamānapunabbhavā;
「诸断疑者,尽慢与再生,
Te ve pāraṅgatā loke, ye pattā āsavakkhaya’’nti.
彼等确实是世间的到彼岸者,彼等达漏尽者。」
Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti. Sattamaṃ.
这义也是世尊所说,如是我闻。第七。
Kalyāṇasīlasuttaṃ善戒经
§97
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
此确实为世尊所说,为阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Kalyāṇasīlo, bhikkhave, bhikkhu kalyāṇadhammo kalyāṇapañño imasmiṃ dhammavinaye ‘kevalī vusitavā uttamapuriso’ti vuccati –
「诸比库!具善戒、具善法、具善慧的比库,在此法律中被称为『圆满者、已修习者、最上人』——
‘‘Kathañca , bhikkhave, bhikkhu kalyāṇasīlo hoti? Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu sīlavā hoti, pātimokkhasaṃvarasaṃvuto viharati, ācāragocarasampanno aṇumattesu vajjesu bhayadassāvī, samādāya sikkhati sikkhāpadesu. Evaṃ kho, bhikkhave, bhikkhu kalyāṇasīlo hoti. Iti kalyāṇasīlo.
「诸比库!比库如何具善戒?诸比库!于此,比库具戒,以巴帝摩卡律仪防护而住,具足正行与行处,于微细罪中见怖畏,受持学习于诸学处。诸比库!比库如是具善戒。如此具善戒。
‘‘Kalyāṇadhammo ca kathaṃ hoti? Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu sattannaṃ bodhipakkhiyānaṃ dhammānaṃ bhāvanānuyogamanuyutto viharati. Evaṃ kho, bhikkhave, bhikkhu kalyāṇadhammo hoti. Iti kalyāṇasīlo, kalyāṇadhammo.
「如何是善法者?诸比库,于此,比库住于勤修七觉支的修习。诸比库,如此,比库是善法者。如此,善戒者、善法者。
‘‘Kalyāṇapañño ca kathaṃ hoti ? Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu āsavānaṃ khayā anāsavaṃ cetovimuttiṃ paññāvimuttiṃ diṭṭheva dhamme sayaṃ abhiññā sacchikatvā upasampajja viharati. Evaṃ kho, bhikkhave, bhikkhu kalyāṇapañño hoti.
「如何是善慧者?诸比库,于此,比库以诸漏尽,于现法自己以证智作证、具足住于无漏的心解脱、慧解脱。诸比库,如此,比库是善慧者。
‘‘Iti kalyāṇasīlo kalyāṇadhammo kalyāṇapañño imasmiṃ dhammavinaye ‘kevalī vusitavā uttamapuriso’ti vuccatī’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「如此,善戒者、善法者、善慧者,于此法、律中被称为『圆满者、已修行者、最上人』。」世尊说了此义。于此,如是说——
‘‘Yassa kāyena vācāya, manasā natthi dukkaṭaṃ;
「凡以身、以语、以意,无有恶行者;
Taṃ ve kalyāṇasīloti, āhu bhikkhuṃ hirīmanaṃ .
他们称彼具惭愧心的比库为善戒者。
‘‘Yassa dhammā subhāvitā, satta sambodhigāmino;
「凡诸法已善修习,七种导向正觉者;
Taṃ ve kalyāṇadhammoti, āhu bhikkhuṃ anussadaṃ.
他们称彼精勤的比库为善法者。
‘‘Yo dukkhassa pajānāti, idheva khayamattano;
「凡于此世了知自己苦的灭尽者;
Taṃ ve kalyāṇapaññoti, āhu bhikkhuṃ anāsavaṃ.
他们称那位无漏的比库为「具善慧者」。
‘‘Tehi dhammehi sampannaṃ, anīghaṃ chinnasaṃsayaṃ;
「具足那些法,无恼,已断疑,
Asitaṃ sabbalokassa, āhu sabbapahāyina’’nti.
一切世间的无依者,他们称为一切舍断者。」
Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti. Aṭṭhamaṃ.
这义也是世尊所说,如是我闻。第八经。
9. Dānasuttaṃ9. 布施经
§98
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Dvemāni , bhikkhave, dānāni – āmisadānañca dhammadānañca. Etadaggaṃ, bhikkhave, imesaṃ dvinnaṃ dānānaṃ yadidaṃ – dhammadānaṃ.
「诸比库,有此二施——物施与法施。诸比库,此二施中,这是最上,即:法施。
‘‘Dveme, bhikkhave, saṃvibhāgā – āmisasaṃvibhāgo ca dhammasaṃvibhāgo ca. Etadaggaṃ, bhikkhave, imesaṃ dvinnaṃ saṃvibhāgānaṃ yadidaṃ – dhammasaṃvibhāgo.
「诸比库,有此二分享——物分享与法分享。诸比库,此二分享中,这是最上,即:法分享。
‘‘Dveme , bhikkhave, anuggahā – āmisānuggaho ca dhammānuggaho ca. Etadaggaṃ, bhikkhave, imesaṃ dvinnaṃ anuggahānaṃ yadidaṃ – dhammānuggaho’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,有此二摄受——物摄受与法摄受。诸比库,此二摄受中,这是最上,即:法摄受。」世尊说此义。于此,如是说——
‘‘Yamāhu dānaṃ paramaṃ anuttaraṃ, yaṃ saṃvibhāgaṃ bhagavā avaṇṇayi ;
「他们所说的布施为最上、无上,世尊赞叹分享;
Aggamhi khettamhi pasannacitto, viññū pajānaṃ ko na yajetha kāle.
于最胜的福田,以净信心,智者了知,谁不适时供养呢?
‘‘Ye ceva bhāsanti suṇanti cūbhayaṃ, pasannacittā sugatassa sāsane;
「凡说法者与听闻者两者,以净信心于善逝的教法中;
Tesaṃ so attho paramo visujjhati, ye appamattā sugatassa sāsane’’ti.
对他们来说,那最上的义利得以清净,他们在善逝的教法中不放逸。」

这义理也是世尊所说,我如是听闻。第九经。
10. Tevijjasuttaṃ10. 三明经
§99
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,我如是听闻——
‘‘Dhammenāhaṃ, bhikkhave, tevijjaṃ brāhmaṇaṃ paññāpemi, nāññaṃ lapitalāpanamattena.
「诸比库!我以法施设三明婆罗门,而非仅以喋喋不休的言说。
‘‘Kathañcāhaṃ, bhikkhave, dhammena tevijjaṃ brāhmaṇaṃ paññāpemi, nāññaṃ lapitalāpanamattena? Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu anekavihitaṃ pubbenivāsaṃ anussarati, seyyathidaṃ – ekampi jātiṃ dvepi jātiyo tissopi jātiyo catassopi jātiyo pañcapi jātiyo dasapi jātiyo vīsampi jātiyo tiṃsampi jātiyo cattālīsampi jātiyo paññāsampi jātiyo jātisatampi jātisahassampi jātisatasahassampi anekepi saṃvaṭṭakappe anekepi vivaṭṭakappe anekepi saṃvaṭṭavivaṭṭakappe – ‘amutrāsiṃ evaṃnāmo evaṃgotto evaṃvaṇṇo evamāhāro evaṃsukhadukkhappaṭisaṃvedī evamāyupariyanto. So tato cuto amutra udapādiṃ. Tatrāpāsiṃ evaṃnāmo evaṃgotto evaṃvaṇṇo evamāhāro evaṃsukhadukkhappaṭisaṃvedī evamāyupariyanto. So tato cuto idhūpapanno’ti . Iti sākāraṃ sauddesaṃ anekavihitaṃ pubbenivāsaṃ anussarati. Ayamassa paṭhamā vijjā adhigatā hoti, avijjā vihatā, vijjā uppannā, tamo vihato, āloko uppanno, yathā taṃ appamattassa ātāpino pahitattassa viharato.
「诸比库!我如何以法施设三明婆罗门,而非仅以喋喋不休的言说呢?诸比库!于此,比库忆念种种宿住,即:一生、二生、三生、四生、五生、十生、二十生、三十生、四十生、五十生、百生、千生、百千生,许多坏劫、许多成劫、许多坏成劫——『我在那里,有如是名、如是姓、如是色、如是食、如是受乐苦、如是寿量。我从那里死后,生于那里。在那里也有如是名、如是姓、如是色、如是食、如是受乐苦、如是寿量。我从那里死后,生于此处。』如此,他以形相、细节忆念种种宿住。这是他所证得的第一明,无明已被破除,明已生起,黑暗已被破除,光明已生起,如对不放逸、热诚、精勤而住者那样。
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, bhikkhave, bhikkhu dibbena cakkhunā visuddhena atikkantamānusakena satte passati cavamāne upapajjamāne hīne paṇīte suvaṇṇe dubbaṇṇe, sugate duggate yathākammūpage satte pajānāti – ‘ime vata bhonto sattā kāyaduccaritena samannāgatā vacīduccaritena samannāgatā manoduccaritena samannāgatā ariyānaṃ upavādakā micchādiṭṭhikā micchādiṭṭhikammasamādānā. Te kāyassa bhedā paraṃ maraṇā apāyaṃ duggatiṃ vinipātaṃ nirayaṃ upapannā. Ime vā pana bhonto sattā kāyasucaritena samannāgatā vacīsucaritena samannāgatā manosucaritena samannāgatā ariyānaṃ anupavādakā sammādiṭṭhikā sammādiṭṭhikammasamādānā. Te kāyassa bhedā paraṃ maraṇā sugatiṃ saggaṃ lokaṃ upapannā’ti. Iti dibbena cakkhunā visuddhena atikkantamānusakena satte passati cavamāne upapajjamāne hīne paṇīte suvaṇṇe dubbaṇṇe, sugate duggate yathākammūpage satte pajānāti. Ayamassa dutiyā vijjā adhigatā hoti, avijjā vihatā, vijjā uppannā, tamo vihato, āloko uppanno, yathā taṃ appamattassa ātāpino pahitattassa viharato.
「再者,诸比库!比库以清净、超越人的天眼,看见众生死时、生时,低劣、胜妙,美好、丑陋,幸、不幸,了知众生各随其业:『这些尊者众生具足身恶行、具足语恶行、具足意恶行,诽谤圣者,邪见者,受持邪见业。他们身坏命终后,生于苦界、恶趣、堕处、地狱。而这些尊者众生具足身善行、具足语善行、具足意善行,不诽谤圣者,正见者,受持正见业。他们身坏命终后,生于善趣、天界。』如此,他以清净、超越人的天眼,看见众生死时、生时,低劣、胜妙,美好、丑陋,幸、不幸,了知众生各随其业。这是他所证得的第二明,无明已被破除,明已生起,黑暗已被破除,光明已生起,如彼不放逸、热诚、自励而住者。
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, bhikkhave, bhikkhu āsavānaṃ khayā anāsavaṃ cetovimuttiṃ paññāvimuttiṃ diṭṭheva dhamme sayaṃ abhiññā sacchikatvā upasampajja viharati. Ayamassa tatiyā vijjā adhigatā hoti, avijjā vihatā, vijjā uppannā, tamo vihato, āloko uppanno, yathā taṃ appamattassa ātāpino pahitattassa viharato. Evaṃ kho ahaṃ, bhikkhave, dhammena tevijjaṃ brāhmaṇaṃ paññāpemi, nāññaṃ lapitalāpanamattenā’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「再者,诸比库!比库以诸漏尽故,于现法自己以证智作证、具足无漏心解脱、慧解脱而住。这是他所证得的第三明,无明已被破除,明已生起,黑暗已被破除,光明已生起,如彼不放逸、热诚、自励而住者。诸比库!如此,我依法施设三明婆罗门,而非仅以喋喋不休。」世尊说了此义。于此,如是说——
‘‘Pubbenivāsaṃ yovedi , saggāpāyañca passati;
「凡了知前世,看见天界与恶趣,
Atho jātikkhayaṃ patto, abhiññāvosito muni.
且已达生之灭尽,牟尼已达上智。
‘‘Etāhi tīhi vijjāhi, tevijjo hoti brāhmaṇo;
「以此三明,婆罗门为三明者,
Tamahaṃ vadāmi tevijjaṃ, nāññaṃ lapitalāpana’’nti.
我说彼为三明者,而非喋喋不休。」
Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti. Dasamaṃ.
