Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,我如是听闻——
‘‘Ekadhammaṃ, bhikkhave, pajahatha; ahaṃ vo pāṭibhogo anāgāmitāya. Katamaṃ ekadhammaṃ? Lobhaṃ, bhikkhave, ekadhammaṃ pajahatha; ahaṃ vo pāṭibhogo anāgāmitāyā’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,舍断非法品;我保证你们不来。哪非法品?诸比库,舍断贪这非法品;我保证你们不来。」世尊说了此义。在那里如是说——
‘‘Yena lobhena luddhāse, sattā gacchanti duggatiṃ;
「众生被那贪所贪著,前往恶趣;
Taṃ lobhaṃ sammadaññāya, pajahanti vipassino;
正确地了知那贪后,观行者舍断它;
Pahāya na punāyanti, imaṃ lokaṃ kudācana’’nti.
舍断后不再回来,此世间任何时候。」

2. Dosasuttaṃ2. 嗔经

这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,我如是听闻——
‘‘Ekadhammaṃ, bhikkhave, pajahatha; ahaṃ vo pāṭibhogo anāgāmitāya. Katamaṃ ekadhammaṃ? Dosaṃ, bhikkhave, ekadhammaṃ pajahatha; ahaṃ vo pāṭibhogo anāgāmitāyā’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,舍断非法品;我保证你们不来。何为非法品?诸比库,舍断嗔,此非法品;我保证你们不来。」世尊说了此义。在那里如此说——
‘‘Yena dosena duṭṭhāse, sattā gacchanti duggatiṃ;
「由于被嗔所恼害,众生前往恶趣;
Taṃ dosaṃ sammadaññāya, pajahanti vipassino;
正确了知那嗔后,观者舍断它;
Pahāya na punāyanti, imaṃ lokaṃ kudācana’’nti.
舍断后不再来,此世间任何时候。」

3. Mohasuttaṃ3. 痴经

‘‘Ekadhammaṃ, bhikkhave, pajahatha; ahaṃ vo pāṭibhogo anāgāmitāya. Katamaṃ ekadhammaṃ? Mohaṃ, bhikkhave, ekadhammaṃ pajahatha; ahaṃ vo pāṭibhogo anāgāmitāyā’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,舍断非法品;我保证你们不来。何为非法品?诸比库,舍断痴,此非法品;我保证你们不来。」世尊说了此义。在那里如此说——
‘‘Yena mohena mūḷhāse, sattā gacchanti duggatiṃ;
「由于被痴所愚痴,众生前往恶趣;
Taṃ mohaṃ sammadaññāya, pajahanti vipassino;
正确地了知那个痴后,观者们舍断它;
Pahāya na punāyanti, imaṃ lokaṃ kudācana’’nti.
舍断后,他们永不再来这个世间。

这个义理也是世尊所说的,我如是听闻。第三经。
4. Kodhasuttaṃ4. 忿经
§4

这确实是世尊所说的,是阿拉汉所说的,我如是听闻——
‘‘Ekadhammaṃ, bhikkhave, pajahatha; ahaṃ vo pāṭibhogo anāgāmitāya. Katamaṃ ekadhammaṃ? Kodhaṃ, bhikkhave, ekadhammaṃ pajahatha; ahaṃ vo pāṭibhogo anāgāmitāyā’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,舍断非法品;我保证你们不来。什么是非法品?诸比库,舍断嗔这非法品;我保证你们不来。」这个义理是世尊所说的。在那里如是说——
‘‘Yena kodhena kuddhāse, sattā gacchanti duggatiṃ;
「众生因那个嗔而发怒,前往恶趣;
Taṃ kodhaṃ sammadaññāya, pajahanti vipassino;
正确地了知那个嗔后,观者们舍断它;
Pahāya na punāyanti, imaṃ lokaṃ kudācana’’nti.
舍断后,他们永不再来这个世间。」

5. Makkhasuttaṃ5. 覆经

‘‘Ekadhammaṃ, bhikkhave, pajahatha; ahaṃ vo pāṭibhogo anāgāmitāya. Katamaṃ ekadhammaṃ? Makkhaṃ, bhikkhave, ekadhammaṃ pajahatha; ahaṃ vo pāṭibhogo anāgāmitāyā’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!舍断非法品,我保证你们不来。哪非法品?诸比库!舍断覆恼这非法品,我保证你们不来。」世尊说了这义理。在那里如是说——
‘‘Yena makkhena makkhāse , sattā gacchanti duggatiṃ;
「众生以覆恼而覆恼,前往恶趣;
Taṃ makkhaṃ sammadaññāya, pajahanti vipassino;
正确了知那覆恼,观者舍断它;
Pahāya na punāyanti, imaṃ lokaṃ kudācana’’nti.
舍断后不再来,这世间任何时候。」

「众生因慢而陶醉,前往恶趣;
Taṃ mānaṃ sammadaññāya, pajahanti vipassino;
正确了知彼慢后,观者舍断;
Pahāya na punāyanti, imaṃ lokaṃ kudācana’’nti.
舍断后不再来,此世间任何时候。」

7. Sabbapariññāsuttaṃ7. 一切遍知经
§7

此确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Sabbaṃ, bhikkhave, anabhijānaṃ aparijānaṃ tattha cittaṃ avirājayaṃ appajahaṃ abhabbo dukkhakkhayāya. Sabbañca kho, bhikkhave, abhijānaṃ parijānaṃ tattha cittaṃ virājayaṃ pajahaṃ bhabbo dukkhakkhayāyā’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!对一切不通达、不遍知,于此心不离染、不舍断,不能灭尽苦。诸比库!对一切通达、遍知,于此心离染、舍断,能灭尽苦。」世尊说了此义。在那里如此说——
‘‘Yo sabbaṃ sabbato ñatvā, sabbatthesu na rajjati;
「从一切方面知一切者,于一切处不染着;
Sa ve sabbapariññā so, sabbadukkhamupaccagā’’ti .
他确实是一切遍知者,他已超越一切苦。

这义理也是世尊所说,如是我闻。第七经。
8. Mānapariññāsuttaṃ8. 慢遍知经
§8

这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Mānaṃ, bhikkhave, anabhijānaṃ aparijānaṃ tattha cittaṃ avirājayaṃ appajahaṃ abhabbo dukkhakkhayāya . Mānañca kho, bhikkhave, abhijānaṃ parijānaṃ tattha cittaṃ virājayaṃ pajahaṃ bhabbo dukkhakkhayāyā’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!不证知慢、不遍知慢、不于此令心离染、不舍断慢者,不能灭尽苦。诸比库!证知慢、遍知慢、于此令心离染、舍断慢者,能灭尽苦。」世尊说了这个义理。在那里如是说——
‘‘Mānupetā ayaṃ pajā, mānaganthā bhave ratā;
「此世代为慢所缚,为慢结所系,乐着于有;
Mānaṃ aparijānantā, āgantāro punabbhavaṃ.
不遍知慢者,再来后有。
‘‘Ye ca mānaṃ pahantvāna, vimuttā mānasaṅkhaye;
舍断慢者,于慢灭尽而解脱;
Te mānaganthābhibhuno, sabbadukkhamupaccagu’’nti .
他们已征服慢结,已超越一切苦。」

9. Lobhapariññāsuttaṃ9. 贪遍知经
§9
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
此确实为世尊所说,为阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Lobhaṃ, bhikkhave , anabhijānaṃ aparijānaṃ tattha cittaṃ avirājayaṃ appajahaṃ abhabbo dukkhakkhayāya. Lobhañca kho, bhikkhave, abhijānaṃ parijānaṃ tattha cittaṃ virājayaṃ pajahaṃ bhabbo dukkhakkhayāyā’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!不证知贪、不遍知贪、于此不离染心、不舍断贪者,不能灭尽苦。诸比库!证知贪、遍知贪、于此离染心、舍断贪者,能灭尽苦。」世尊说此义。于此,如是说——
‘‘Yena lobhena luddhāse, sattā gacchanti duggatiṃ;
「由于被贪所迷惑,诸有情前往恶趣;
Taṃ lobhaṃ sammadaññāya, pajahanti vipassino;
正确地了知彼贪,诸观者舍断它;
Pahāya na punāyanti, imaṃ lokaṃ kudācana’’nti.
舍断后不再回来,此世间任何时候。」

此义为世尊所说,如是我闻。第九。
10. Dosapariññāsuttaṃ10. 嗔遍知经
§10
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
此确实为世尊所说,为阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Dosaṃ, bhikkhave, anabhijānaṃ aparijānaṃ tattha cittaṃ avirājayaṃ appajahaṃ abhabbo dukkhakkhayāya. Dosañca kho, bhikkhave, abhijānaṃ parijānaṃ tattha cittaṃ virājayaṃ pajahaṃ bhabbo dukkhakkhayāyā’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!不通达嗔、不遍知嗔、不于此令心离染、不舍断者,不能灭尽苦。诸比库!通达嗌、遍知嗔、于此令心离染、舍断者,能灭尽苦。」世尊说了此义。在那里如此说——
‘‘Yena dosena duṭṭhāse, sattā gacchanti duggatiṃ;
「被嗔所染污者,众生前往恶趣;
Taṃ dosaṃ sammadaññāya, pajahanti vipassino;
正确了知那嗔后,观者舍断它;
Pahāya na punāyanti, imaṃ lokaṃ kudācana’’nti.
舍断后不再来,此世间任何时候。」

「众生以何痴而愚痴,前往恶趣;

诸观者正确了知彼痴,舍断;
Pahāya na punāyanti, imaṃ lokaṃ kudācana’’nti.
舍断后不再来,此世间任何时候。」

‘‘Yena kodhena kuddhāse, sattā gacchanti duggatiṃ;
「以何忿怒而忿怒,众生前往恶趣;
Taṃ kodhaṃ sammadaññāya, pajahanti vipassino;
正确了知彼忿怒,诸观者舍断之;
Pahāya na punāyanti, imaṃ lokaṃ kudācana’’nti.
舍断后不再来,此世间任何时。」

3.Makkhapariññāsuttaṃ3. 覆遍知经

‘‘Makkhaṃ, bhikkhave, anabhijānaṃ aparijānaṃ tattha cittaṃ avirājayaṃ appajahaṃ abhabbo dukkhakkhayāya. Makkhañca kho, bhikkhave, abhijānaṃ parijānaṃ tattha cittaṃ virājayaṃ pajahaṃ bhabbo dukkhakkhayāyā’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!不证知、不遍知覆诳,不于此令心离染、不舍断者,不能灭尽苦。诸比库!证知、遍知覆诳,于此令心离染、舍断者,能灭尽苦。」世尊说了此义。在那里如此说——
‘‘Yena makkhena makkhāse, sattā gacchanti duggatiṃ;
「以何覆诳而覆诳,众生前往恶趣;
Taṃ makkhaṃ sammadaññāya, pajahanti vipassino;
如实知那覆盖后,观者舍断它;
Pahāya na punāyanti, imaṃ lokaṃ kudācana’’nti.
舍断后不再来此,任何时候都不来此世间。
Ayampi attho vutto bhagavatā, iti me sutanti. Tatiyaṃ.
这义也是世尊所说,如是我闻。第三经。
4. Avijjānīvaraṇasuttaṃ4. 无明盖经
§14
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Nāhaṃ, bhikkhave, aññaṃ ekanīvaraṇampi samanupassāmi yena nīvaraṇena nivutā pajā dīgharattaṃ sandhāvanti saṃsaranti yathayidaṃ, bhikkhave, avijjānīvaraṇaṃ . Avijjānīvaraṇena hi, bhikkhave, nivutā pajā dīgharattaṃ sandhāvanti saṃsarantī’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,我不见有其他任何一盖,被那盖所覆盖的众生长夜流转轮回,如同这无明盖,诸比库。诸比库,被无明盖所覆盖的众生确实长夜流转轮回。」这义世尊已说。于此如是说——
‘‘Natthañño ekadhammopi, yenevaṃ nivutā pajā;
「没有其他任何非法品,被它如此覆盖的众生;
Saṃsaranti ahorattaṃ, yathā mohena āvutā.
日夜轮回,如同被痴所覆盖。
‘‘Ye ca mohaṃ pahantvāna, tamokhandhaṃ padālayuṃ;
「凡舍断痴者,破坏暗蕴;
Na te puna saṃsaranti, hetu tesaṃ na vijjatī’’ti.
他们不再轮回,他们的因不存在。

这义也是世尊所说,如是我闻。第四。
5. Taṇhāsaṃyojanasuttaṃ5. 渴爱结经
§15
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Nāhaṃ, bhikkhave, aññaṃ ekasaṃyojanampi samanupassāmi yena saṃyojanena saṃyuttā sattā dīgharattaṃ sandhāvanti saṃsaranti yathayidaṃ, bhikkhave, taṇhāsaṃyojanaṃ . Taṇhāsaṃyojanena hi, bhikkhave, saṃyuttā sattā dīgharattaṃ sandhāvanti saṃsarantī’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,我不见有其他任何一结,众生被此结所系缚而长夜流转轮回,如诸比库,此渴爱结。诸比库,众生确实被渴爱结所系缚而长夜流转轮回。」世尊说此义。于此这样说——
‘‘Taṇhādutiyo puriso, dīghamaddhāna saṃsaraṃ;
「以渴爱为第二伴的人,长时轮回流转;
Itthabhāvaññathābhāvaṃ , saṃsāraṃ nātivattati.
此有彼有,不能超越轮回。
‘‘Etamādīnavaṃ ñatvā, taṇhaṃ dukkhassa sambhavaṃ;
知此过患,渴爱是苦的集起;
Vītataṇho anādāno, sato bhikkhu paribbaje’’ti.
离渴爱、无执取,具念的比库应游行。」

6. Paṭhamasekhasuttaṃ6. 第一有学经
§16
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Sekhassa, bhikkhave, bhikkhuno appattamānasassa anuttaraṃ yogakkhemaṃ patthayamānassa viharato ajjhattikaṃ aṅganti karitvā nāññaṃ ekaṅgampi samanupassāmi yaṃ evaṃ bahūpakāraṃ yathayidaṃ, bhikkhave, yoniso manasikāro. Yoniso, bhikkhave, bhikkhu manasi karonto akusalaṃ pajahati , kusalaṃ bhāvetī’’ti . Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!对于有学比库,未达其心,希求无上离轭安稳而住者,作为内在的支分,我不见有其他任何一支如此多益,诸比库,如如理作意。诸比库!如理作意的比库,舍断不善,修习善。」世尊说了这个义。在那里如此说——
‘‘Yoniso manasikāro, dhammo sekhassa bhikkhuno;
「如理作意,是有学比库之法;」
Natthañño evaṃ bahukāro, uttamatthassa pattiyā;
「没有其他如此多益者,为了达到最上义;」
Yoniso padahaṃ bhikkhu, khayaṃ dukkhassa pāpuṇe’’ti.
「如理精勤的比库,到达苦的灭尽。」

7. Dutiyasekhasuttaṃ7. 第二有学经
§17
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Sekhassa, bhikkhave, bhikkhuno appattamānasassa anuttaraṃ yogakkhemaṃ patthayamānassa viharato bāhiraṃ aṅganti karitvā nāññaṃ ekaṅgampi samanupassāmi yaṃ evaṃ bahūpakāraṃ yathayidaṃ, bhikkhave, kalyāṇamittatā. Kalyāṇamitto, bhikkhave, bhikkhu akusalaṃ pajahati, kusalaṃ bhāvetī’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!对于有学比库,未达成心愿者,住于希求无上离轭安稳,我不见有其他任何非法品如此多所饶益,如诸比库!善友性。诸比库!有善友的比库舍断不善,修习善。」世尊说了此义。在那里如是说——
‘‘Kalyāṇamitto yo bhikkhu, sappatisso sagāravo;
「比库若为善友,恭敬且尊重,」
Karaṃ mittānaṃ vacanaṃ, sampajāno patissato;
「行诸友之言,具念且正知,」
Pāpuṇe anupubbena, sabbasaṃyojanakkhaya’’nti.

8. Saṅghabhedasuttaṃ8. 破僧经
§18
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
此确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Ekadhammo, bhikkhave, loke uppajjamāno uppajjati bahujanāhitāya bahujanāsukhāya bahuno janassa anatthāya ahitāya dukkhāya devamanussānaṃ. Katamo ekadhammo? Saṅghabhedo. Saṅghe kho pana, bhikkhave, bhinne aññamaññaṃ bhaṇḍanāni ceva honti, aññamaññaṃ paribhāsā ca honti , aññamaññaṃ parikkhepā ca honti, aññamaññaṃ pariccajanā ca honti. Tattha appasannā ceva nappasīdanti, pasannānañca ekaccānaṃ aññathattaṃ hotī’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!非法品在世间生起时,生起为众人无利益、众人不快乐、众人无义利、无利益、苦恼于天人。何为非法品?僧团破裂。诸比库!当僧团破裂时,则有互相争吵、互相诽谤、互相排斥、互相舍弃。在那里,未净信者须跋信,已净信者中某些人则变心。」世尊说了此义。在那里如是说——
‘‘Āpāyiko nerayiko, kappaṭṭho saṅghabhedako;
「堕恶趣地狱者,住劫者,破僧团者,」
Vaggārāmo adhammaṭṭho, yogakkhemā padhaṃsati ;
乐于诤论、住于非法者,他破坏离轭安稳;
Saṅghaṃ samaggaṃ bhetvāna , kappaṃ nirayamhi paccatī’’ti.
分裂和合僧团后,他在地狱煮一劫。

9. Saṅghasāmaggīsuttaṃ9. 僧团和合经
§19
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Ekadhammo, bhikkhave, loke uppajjamāno uppajjati bahujanahitāya bahujanasukhāya bahuno janassa atthāya hitāya sukhāya devamanussānaṃ. Katamo ekadhammo ? Saṅghasāmaggī. Saṅghe kho pana, bhikkhave, samagge na ceva aññamaññaṃ bhaṇḍanāni honti, na ca aññamaññaṃ paribhāsā honti, na ca aññamaññaṃ parikkhepā honti, na ca aññamaññaṃ pariccajanā honti. Tattha appasannā ceva pasīdanti, pasannānañca bhiyyobhāvo hotī’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!非法品在世间生起时,是为了众人的利益而生起,为了众人的安乐而生起,为了众人的义利而生起,为了天人的利益与安乐而生起。什么是非法品?僧团的和合。诸比库!当僧团和合时,既不会彼此争吵,也不会彼此辱骂,也不会彼此排斥,也不会彼此舍弃。在那里,无信者生起信心,有信者则增长。」这义理世尊已说。在那里如是说——
‘‘Sukhā saṅghassa sāmaggī, samaggānañcanuggaho;
「僧团的和合是乐,和合者的随顺是乐;
Samaggarato dhammaṭṭho, yogakkhemā na dhaṃsati;
乐于和合、住于法者,他不破坏离轭安稳;
Saṅghaṃ samaggaṃ katvāna, kappaṃ saggamhi modatī’’ti.
使僧团和合后,他在天界欢喜一劫。」

此义为世尊所说,如是我闻。第九经。
10. Paduṭṭhacittasuttaṃ10. 恶心经
§20
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
此确实为世尊所说,为阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Idhāhaṃ, bhikkhave, ekaccaṃ puggalaṃ paduṭṭhacittaṃ evaṃ cetasā ceto paricca pajānāmi – ‘imamhi cāyaṃ samaye puggalo kālaṅkareyya yathābhataṃ nikkhitto evaṃ niraye’. Taṃ kissa hetu? Cittaṃ hissa, bhikkhave, paduṭṭhaṃ. Cetopadosahetu kho pana, bhikkhave, evamidhekacce sattā kāyassa bhedā paraṃ maraṇā apāyaṃ duggatiṃ vinipātaṃ nirayaṃ upapajjantī’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!于此,我以心遍知某个心已败坏者之心,如此了知:『若此人于此时死去,他将如被带去投下般,如此投生于地狱。』那是什么原因?诸比库!因为他的心已败坏。诸比库!由于心的败坏之因,于此某些有情身坏命终后投生于苦界、恶趣、堕处、地狱。」世尊说此义。于此如是说——
‘‘Paduṭṭhacittaṃ ñatvāna, ekaccaṃ idha puggalaṃ;
「了知某个人,于此心已败坏;
Etamatthañca byākāsi, buddho bhikkhūna santike.
佛陀于诸比库面前,分别论了此义。
‘‘Imamhi cāyaṃ samaye, kālaṃ kayirātha puggalo;
『若此人于此时,死去;
Nirayaṃ upapajjeyya, cittaṃ hissa padūsitaṃ.
他将投生地狱,因为他的心已败坏。
‘‘Yathā haritvā nikkhipeyya, evameva tathāvidho;
『如被带去投下般,他确实如此。」
Cetopadosahetu hi, sattā gacchanti duggati’’nti.
因为心的污染之因,众生前往恶趣。

‘‘Idhāhaṃ, bhikkhave, ekaccaṃ puggalaṃ pasannacittaṃ evaṃ cetasā ceto paricca pajānāmi – ‘imamhi cāyaṃ samaye puggalo kālaṃ kareyya yathābhataṃ nikkhitto evaṃ sagge’. Taṃ kissa hetu? Cittaṃ hissa, bhikkhave, pasannaṃ. Cetopasādahetu kho pana, bhikkhave, evamidhekacce sattā kāyassa bhedā paraṃ maraṇā sugatiṃ saggaṃ lokaṃ upapajjantī’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!于此,我以心遍知某人净信之心,如此了知:『此人若于此时死亡,如被带去放置,将如此在天界。』那是什么原因?诸比库!因为他的心净信。诸比库!因为心净信之因,于此某些众生身坏命终后,投生于善趣、天界。」世尊说了这个。在那里如此说——
‘‘Pasannacittaṃ ñatvāna, ekaccaṃ idha puggalaṃ;
「知道某人心净信,在此世间,
Etamatthañca byākāsi, buddho bhikkhūna santike.
佛陀在比库们面前,分别论了这个义理。
‘‘Imamhi cāyaṃ samaye, kālaṃ kayirātha puggalo;
「若此人在此时,命终死亡,
Sugatiṃ upapajjeyya, cittaṃ hissa pasāditaṃ.
他将往生善趣,因为他的心已净信。
‘‘Yathā haritvā nikkhipeyya, evameva tathāvidho;
「如同取来放置,正是如此,
Cetopasādahetu hi, sattā gacchanti suggati’’nti.
因为心净信之因,众生前往善趣。」

2. Mettasuttaṃ2. 慈经
§22
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Mā, bhikkhave, puññānaṃ bhāyittha . Sukhassetaṃ, bhikkhave, adhivacanaṃ iṭṭhassa kantassa piyassa manāpassa yadidaṃ puññāni . Abhijānāmi kho panāhaṃ, bhikkhave, dīgharattaṃ katānaṃ puññānaṃ iṭṭhaṃ kantaṃ piyaṃ manāpaṃ vipākaṃ paccanubhūtaṃ. Satta vassāni mettacittaṃ bhāvetvā satta saṃvaṭṭavivaṭṭakappe nayimaṃ lokaṃ punarāgamāsiṃ. Saṃvaṭṭamāne sudaṃ, bhikkhave, kappe ābhassarūpago homi; vivaṭṭamāne kappe suññaṃ brahmavimānaṃ upapajjāmi.
「诸比库,不要害怕诸福德。诸比库,这是乐的同义语,即所喜的、可爱的、所爱的、合意的,也就是诸福德。诸比库,我忆知长夜所作诸福德的所喜、可爱、所爱、合意的果报已被体验。修习慈心七年后,七个坏劫与成劫我不再来此世间。诸比库,坏劫时我生为光音天;成劫时我投生于空的梵天宫。
‘‘Tatra sudaṃ, bhikkhave, brahmā homi mahābrahmā abhibhū anabhibhūto aññadatthudaso vasavattī. Chattiṃsakkhattuṃ kho panāhaṃ, bhikkhave, sakko ahosiṃ devānamindo; anekasatakkhattuṃ rājā ahosiṃ cakkavattī dhammiko dhammarājā cāturanto vijitāvī janapadatthāvariyappatto sattaratanasamannāgato. Ko pana vādo padesarajjassa!
「诸比库,在那里我是梵天、大梵天、征服者、不被征服者、一切见者、自在者。诸比库,我三十六次成为萨咖、诸天之主;数百次我成为转轮王、如法的法王、四方的征服者、获得国土的安稳、具足七宝。何况小国的王位!
‘‘Tassa mayhaṃ, bhikkhave, etadahosi – ‘kissa nu kho me idaṃ kammassa phalaṃ, kissa kammassa vipāko, yenāhaṃ etarahi evaṃmahiddhiko evaṃmahānubhāvo’ti? Tassa mayhaṃ, bhikkhave, etadahosi – ‘tiṇṇaṃ kho me idaṃ kammānaṃ phalaṃ, tiṇṇaṃ kammānaṃ vipāko, yenāhaṃ etarahi evaṃmahiddhiko evaṃmahānubhāvoti, seyyathidaṃ – dānassa, damassa, saññamassā’’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,我生起这样的念头:『这是什么业的果,什么业的果报,以致我现在有如此大神通、如此大威力?』诸比库,我生起这样的念头:『这是三种业的果,三种业的果报,以致我现在有如此大神通、如此大威力,即:布施、调御、自制。』」世尊说了此义。在那里如是说——
‘‘Puññameva so sikkheyya, āyataggaṃ sukhudrayaṃ;
「他应当只修习福德,长久的乐之源;
Dānañca samacariyañca, mettacittañca bhāvaye.
「应修习布施、正行,以及慈心。
‘‘Ete dhamme bhāvayitvā, tayo sukhasamuddaye ;
「修习这些法后,三种乐之源;
Abyāpajjhaṃ sukhaṃ lokaṃ, paṇḍito upapajjatī’’ti.
「贤者投生于无恼害的、安乐的世间。」

3. Ubhayatthasuttaṃ3. 两义经
§23

此确实为世尊所说,为阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Ekadhammo , bhikkhave, bhāvito bahulīkato ubho atthe samadhigayha tiṭṭhati – diṭṭhadhammikañceva atthaṃ samparāyikañca. Katamo ekadhammo? Appamādo kusalesu dhammesu. Ayaṃ kho, bhikkhave, ekadhammo bhāvito bahulīkato ubho atthe samadhigayha tiṭṭhati – diṭṭhadhammikañceva atthaṃ samparāyikañcā’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!非法品,已修习、已多修习,住于获得两种利益——现法利益与来世利益。何为非法品?于诸善法不放逸。诸比库!此非法品,已修习、已多修习,住于获得两种利益——现法利益与来世利益。」世尊说此义。于此,如是说——
‘‘Appamādaṃ pasaṃsanti, puññakiriyāsu paṇḍitā;
「诸贤智者赞叹不放逸,于诸福业中;
Appamatto ubho atthe, adhigaṇhāti paṇḍito.
不放逸的贤智者,获得两种利益。
‘‘Diṭṭhe dhamme ca yo attho, yo cattho samparāyiko;
「于现法中的利益,以及来世的利益;
Atthābhisamayā dhīro, paṇḍitoti pavuccatī’’ti.
贤智者通达利益,被称为贤智者。」

4. Aṭṭhipuñjasuttaṃ4. 骨聚经
§24
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
此确实为世尊所说,为阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Ekapuggalassa, bhikkhave, kappaṃ sandhāvato saṃsarato siyā evaṃ mahā aṭṭhikaṅkalo aṭṭhipuñjo aṭṭhirāsi yathāyaṃ vepullo pabbatoः sace saṃhārako assa, sambhatañca na vinasseyyā’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!一个补特伽罗在一劫中流转轮回,若有收集者收集,且所收集的不会消失,则会有如此大的骨骸堆、骨堆、骨聚,如同这韦普拉山。」世尊说了此义。在那里如此说——
‘‘Ekassekena kappena, puggalassaṭṭhisañcayo;
「一个补特伽罗在一劫中,骨骸的积聚;
Siyā pabbatasamo rāsi, iti vuttaṃ mahesinā.
会有如山一般的堆积,如此为大仙所说。
‘‘So kho panāyaṃ akkhāto, vepullo pabbato mahā;
「而这被宣说的,是韦普拉大山;
Uttaro gijjhakūṭassa, magadhānaṃ giribbaje.
在马嘎达国王舍城,灵鹫山的北方。
‘‘Yato ca ariyasaccāni, sammappaññāya passati;
「当以正慧见诸圣谛时;
Dukkhaṃ dukkhasamuppādaṃ, dukkhassa ca atikkamaṃ;
苦、苦集、以及苦的超越;
Ariyañcaṭṭhaṅgikaṃ maggaṃ, dukkhūpasamagāminaṃ.
以及导向苦寂灭的,圣八支道。
‘‘Sa sattakkhattuṃ paramaṃ, sandhāvitvāna puggalo;
「那位补特伽罗最多七次轮回后,
Dukkhassantakaro hoti, sabbasaṃyojanakkhayā’’ti.
由于一切结的灭尽,成为苦的作终结者。」

5. Musāvādasuttaṃ5. 妄语经
§25
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Ekadhammaṃ atītassa, bhikkhave, purisapuggalassa nāhaṃ tassa kiñci pāpakammaṃ akaraṇīyanti vadāmi. Katamaṃ ekadhammaṃ? Yadidaṃ bhikkhave, sampajānamusāvādo’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!对于已超越非法品的补特伽罗,我不说他有任何恶业是不应作的。什么是非法品?诸比库!即是正知妄语。」世尊说了这义理。在那里如是说——
‘‘Ekadhammaṃ atītassa, musāvādissa jantuno;
「对于已超越非法品者,对于说妄语的有情,
Vitiṇṇaparalokassa, natthi pāpaṃ akāriya’’nti.
对于已超越他世者,没有不应作的恶。」

这义理也是世尊所说,如是我闻。第五经。
6. Dānasuttaṃ6. 布施经
§26
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,我如是听闻——
‘‘Evañce, bhikkhave, sattā jāneyyuṃ dānasaṃvibhāgassa vipākaṃ yathāhaṃ jānāmi, na adatvā bhuñjeyyuṃ, na ca nesaṃ maccheramalaṃ cittaṃ pariyādāya tiṭṭheyya. Yopi nesaṃ assa carimo ālopo carimaṃ kabaḷaṃ, tatopi na asaṃvibhajitvā bhuñjeyyuṃ, sace nesaṃ paṭiggāhakā assu. Yasmā ca kho, bhikkhave, sattā na evaṃ jānanti dānasaṃvibhāgassa vipākaṃ yathāhaṃ jānāmi, tasmā adatvā bhuñjanti, maccheramalañca nesaṃ cittaṃ pariyādāya tiṭṭhatī’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库,如果众生能如我所知那样了知布施分享的果报,他们不施而食者将不会有,悭吝垢秽也不会遍取他们的心而住。即使是他们的最后一口食物、最后一团饭,如果有受施者,他们也不会不分享而食。然而,诸比库,因为众生不能如我所知那样了知布施分享的果报,所以他们不施而食,悭吝垢秽遍取他们的心而住。」这是世尊所说之义。在那里如是说——
‘‘Evaṃ ce sattā jāneyyuṃ, yathāvuttaṃ mahesinā;
「如果众生能了知,如大仙所说,
Vipākaṃ saṃvibhāgassa, yathā hoti mahapphalaṃ.
分享的果报,如何有大果。
‘‘Vineyya maccheramalaṃ, vippasannena cetasā;
调伏悭吝垢秽,以净信之心,
Dajjuṃ kālena ariyesu, yattha dinnaṃ mahapphalaṃ.
应适时施予圣者,于彼所施有大果。
‘‘Annañca datvā bahuno, dakkhiṇeyyesu dakkhiṇaṃ;
施食予众多,供养应供者,
Ito cutā manussattā, saggaṃ gacchanti dāyakā.
从此处死去人身,施者往生天界。」
‘‘Te ca saggagatā tattha, modanti kāmakāmino;
「他们往生天界后,在那里,欲求诸欲者欢喜;
Vipākaṃ saṃvibhāgassa, anubhonti amaccharā’’ti.
不悭吝者享受分享的果报。」

7. Mettābhāvanāsuttaṃ7. 慈心修习经
§27
Vuttañhetaṃ bhagavatā, vuttamarahatāti me sutaṃ –
这确实是世尊所说,是阿拉汉所说,如是我闻——
‘‘Yāni kānici, bhikkhave, opadhikāni puññakiriyavatthūni sabbāni tāni mettāya cetovimuttiyā kalaṃ nāgghanti soḷasiṃ. Mettāyeva tāni cetovimutti adhiggahetvā bhāsate ca tapate ca virocati ca.
「诸比库!任何依赖的福德作业之处,一切都不值慈心解脱的十六分之一。慈心解脱超越它们而照耀、炽燃、光辉。
‘‘Seyyathāpi, bhikkhave, yā kāci tārakarūpānaṃ pabhā sabbā tā candiyā pabhāya kalaṃ nāgghanti soḷasiṃ, candapabhāyeva tā adhiggahetvā bhāsate ca tapate ca virocati ca; evameva kho, bhikkhave, yāni kānici opadhikāni puññakiriyavatthūni sabbāni tāni mettāya cetovimuttiyā kalaṃ nāgghanti soḷasiṃ, mettāyeva tāni cetovimutti adhiggahetvā bhāsate ca tapate ca virocati ca.
「诸比库!譬如任何星辰的光辉,一切都不值月光的十六分之一,月光超越它们而照耀、炽燃、光辉;同样地,诸比库!任何依赖的福德作业之处,一切都不值慈心解脱的十六分之一,慈心解脱超越它们而照耀、炽燃、光辉。
‘‘Seyyathāpi, bhikkhave, vassānaṃ pacchime māse saradasamaye viddhe vigatavalāhake deve ādicco nabhaṃ abbhussakkamāno sabbaṃ ākāsagataṃ tamagataṃ abhivihacca bhāsate ca tapate ca virocati ca; evameva kho, bhikkhave, yāni kānici opadhikāni puññakiriyavatthūni sabbāni tāni mettāya cetovimuttiyā kalaṃ nāgghanti soḷasiṃ, mettāyeva tāni cetovimutti adhiggahetvā bhāsate ca tapate ca virocati ca.
「诸比库!譬如雨季最后一个月,秋季时分,天空晴朗无云,太阳升上天空,驱散一切空中的黑暗而照耀、炽燃、光辉;同样地,诸比库!任何依赖的福德作业之处,一切都不值慈心解脱的十六分之一,慈心解脱超越它们而照耀、炽燃、光辉。
‘‘Seyyathāpi , bhikkhave, rattiyā paccūsasamayaṃ osadhitārakā bhāsate ca tapate ca virocati ca; evameva kho, bhikkhave, yāni kānici opadhikāni puññakiriyavatthūni sabbāni tāni mettāya cetovimuttiyā kalaṃ nāgghanti soḷasiṃ , mettāyeva tāni cetovimutti adhiggahetvā bhāsate ca tapate ca virocati cā’’ti. Etamatthaṃ bhagavā avoca. Tatthetaṃ iti vuccati –
「诸比库!譬如夜晚破晓时分,启明星照耀、炽燃、光辉;同样地,诸比库!任何依赖的福德作业之处,一切都不值慈心解脱的十六分之一,慈心解脱超越它们而照耀、炽燃、光辉。」世尊说了这个义理。在那里如是说——
‘‘Yo ca mettaṃ bhāvayati, appamāṇaṃ paṭissato;
「凡修习慈心者,忆念无量,
Tanū saṃyojanā honti, passato upadhikkhayaṃ.
见到诸依灭尽时,结缚变得微细。
‘‘Ekampi ce pāṇamaduṭṭhacitto, mettāyati kusalo tena hoti;
「若对一个众生以无嗔之心,以慈爱待之,由此他成为善人;
Sabbe ca pāṇe manasānukampaṃ, pahūtamariyo pakaroti puññaṃ.
以心悲悯一切众生,圣者造作大量的福德。
‘‘Ye sattasaṇḍaṃ pathaviṃ vijitvā, rājisayo yajamānānupariyagā;
「那些征服遍布众生的大地的王仙人、施主们,
Assamedhaṃ purisamedhaṃ, sammāpāsaṃ vājapeyyaṃ niraggaḷaṃ.
行马祀、人祀、三摩巴沙祀、瓦迦贝亚祀、无障碍祀。
‘‘Mettassa cittassa subhāvitassa, kalampi te nānubhavanti soḷasiṃ;
「对于善修习慈心者,他们连其十六分之一也不及;
Candappabhā tāragaṇāva sabbe.
犹如一切星群不及月光。
‘‘Yo na hanti na ghāteti, na jināti na jāpaye;
「他不杀害、不令杀害,不战胜、不令战胜;
Mettaṃso sabbabhūtesu, veraṃ tassa na kenacī’’ti.
对一切众生具慈,对他无任何怨恨。」

Sattimāni ca suttāni, purimāni ca vīsati;
此等七经,及前二十经;
Ekadhammesu suttantā, sattavīsatisaṅgahāti.
