第八十三条:谓第三谓伪(欺骗)者,以三种欺骗之物为具足。谓取,乃依赖获得之意取法为具足。谓因缘,谓现象因缘之作业者。谓放逐者,以放逸行为为具足。由利益而求利,故称为利者求利。依《善翼经》说,依倒失烦恼应当辨知。第四仅谓突出者。

Niruttipaṭisambhidāppattoti dhammaniruttīsu pabhedagataṃ ñāṇaṃ patto. Paṭibhānapaṭisambhidāppattoti tesu tīsu ñāṇesu pabhedagataṃ ñāṇaṃ patto. So pana tāni tīṇi ñāṇāneva jānāti, na tesaṃ kiccaṃ karoti. Uccāvacānīti mahantakhuddakāni. Kiṃkaraṇīyānīti iti kattabbāni.
第八十六条:谓第六谓得分别境界之智,能于五义中分别通达。谓得四法分别之智,通达法之四重差异。谓得语言分别之智,通达于言语中之差异。谓得辩才分别之智,于前三种分别智中分别通达。此人专知三种智慧而不作他事。高低言辞,含大小句。谓斯事必为之。

第八十七条:谓第七仍称突出。戒法此处是断尽烦恼之戒法,多言亦断尽烦恼多言,言语亦断尽烦恼之善语,禅定亦作战禅定般分别说,应当了知。

88. Aṭṭhame theroti thirabhāvappatto. Rattaññūti pabbajitadivasato paṭṭhāya atikkantānaṃ bahūnaṃ rattīnaṃ ñātā. Ñātoti paññāto pākaṭo. Yasassīti yasanissito. Micchādiṭṭhikoti ayāthāvadiṭṭhiko. Saddhammā vuṭṭhāpetvāti dasakusalakammapathadhammato vuṭṭhāpetvā. Asaddhamme patiṭṭhāpetīti akusalakammapathesu patiṭṭhāpeti.
八、长老八种趺坐禅定。『夜知』者,出家当日之始,越过许多夜晚之知也。『知』者,显著明白的意思。『名声』者,依赖名声而存。『邪见』者,错误之见。『正法建立』者,依止十善业道而建立正法。『邪法建立』者,于不善业道中建立邪法。

Niddārāmatāti niddāyane ramanakabhāvo. Saṅgaṇikārāmatāti gaṇasaṅgaṇikāya ramanakabhāvo. Yathāvimuttaṃ cittaṃ na paccavekkhatīti yathā yaṃ cittaṃ vimuttaṃ, ye ca dosā pahīnā, guṇā ca paṭiladdhā, te paccavekkhitvā upariguṇapaṭilābhāya vāyāmaṃ na karotīti attho. 九、『应学者』指应当受教者。『消灭』意指通过上位品类而求消灭。『爱着功课』者,指新修习功课之喜好。『语言功课』者,指喜好言语谈论。『睡眠功课』者,指喜爱睡眠。『计算功课』者,指喜于数算计算。如心已解脱,心所恶已断,善法已得,便不再检视,亦不努力求上进。此处经中说到七种应学者因损灭而苦恼及因此而增长的事。修习者的损灭是为凡夫的首要损灭。

十、『散乱』者,分散迷乱。『要紧之处』者,修行应注意的事。『心定』是禅定的功夫。『逆行』者,违背正法教法。『过时』者,如同过失时分。『过昼』者,过了白昼之限。『染污』者,严重染污之意。『心心相照过程』者,是指诸禅定与慧观相配合。『无欲说』者,谈说无欲。『满足说』者,言四种条件满足。『离欲说』者,言三种离欲状态。『无礼说』者,指五种无亲近现象。『精进起发说』者,二种精进起发。『戒说等』者,起于戒法等说。起于定法、起于慧法、起于五种自在、起于十九种解脱知识见。『非求得乐』等,指无求欲、无贪求、苦果求、非广大求。余下皆指向最高解脱。因此本经此处即为解释各种修行的详细次第与涵义。
