So kāyena duccaritaṃ carati, vācāya duccaritaṃ carati, manasā duccaritaṃ carati. Seyyathāpi, bhikkhave , rañño khattiyassa muddhāvasittassa jeṭṭho putto ābhiseko anabhisitto macalappatto; evamevaṃ kho, bhikkhave, bhikkhu sekho hoti pāṭipado, anuttaraṃ yogakkhemaṃ patthayamāno viharati. Evaṃ kho, bhikkhave, puggalo samaṇamacalo hoti.

「诸比库,什么样的人是沙门白莲呢?诸比库,这里,比库以诸漏尽,于现法中以自己的上智证得、证悟、安住于无漏的心解脱、慧解脱,但他并未以身触八解脱而住。诸比库,这样的人是沙门白莲。
‘‘Kathañca, bhikkhave, puggalo samaṇapadumo hoti? Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu āsavānaṃ khayā anāsavaṃ cetovimuttiṃ paññāvimuttiṃ diṭṭheva dhamme sayaṃ abhiññā sacchikatvā upasampajja viharati, aṭṭha ca vimokkhe kāyena phusitvā viharati. Evaṃ kho, bhikkhave, puggalo samaṇapadumo hoti.
「诸比库,什么样的人是沙门红莲呢?诸比库,这里,比库以诸漏尽,于现法中以自己的上智证得、证悟、安住于无漏的心解脱、慧解脱,并且以身触八解脱而住。诸比库,这样的人是沙门红莲。

Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu yācitova bahulaṃ cīvaraṃ paribhuñjati, appaṃ ayācito; yācitova bahulaṃ piṇḍapātaṃ paribhuñjati, appaṃ ayācito; yācitova bahulaṃ senāsanaṃ paribhuñjati, appaṃ ayācito; yācitova bahulaṃ gilānappaccayabhesajjaparikkhāraṃ paribhuñjati, appaṃ ayācito. Yehi kho pana sabrahmacārīhi saddhiṃ viharati, tyassa manāpeneva bahulaṃ kāyakammena samudācaranti, appaṃ amanāpena; manāpeneva bahulaṃ vacīkammena samudācaranti, appaṃ amanāpena; manāpeneva bahulaṃ manokammena samudācaranti, appaṃ amanāpena; manāpaṃyeva bahulaṃ upahāraṃ upaharanti, appaṃ amanāpaṃ. 「诸比库,什么样的人是沙门坚固者呢?诸比库,这里,比库以三结的灭尽,成为入流者,不退堕法,决定趣向正觉。诸比库,这样的人是沙门坚固者。

「诸比库,什么样的人是沙门白莲呢?诸比库,这里,比库以三结的灭尽,以贪嗔痴的减弱,成为一来者,只来此世间一次即作苦的终结。诸比库,这样的人是沙门白莲。

「诸比库,什么样的人是沙门莲花呢?诸比库,这里,比库以五下分结的灭尽,成为化生者,在那里般涅槃,不从那个世间再来。诸比库,这样的人是沙门莲花。

Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu yācitova bahulaṃ cīvaraṃ paribhuñjati, appaṃ ayācito…pe… yañhi taṃ, bhikkhave, sammā vadamāno vadeyya samaṇesu samaṇasukhumāloti, mameva taṃ, bhikkhave , sammā vadamāno vadeyya samaṇesu samaṇasukhumāloti. 「诸比库!什么样的人是沙门中的不动者?诸比库!这里,比库是有学者,心未达到,他住于希求无上的离轭安稳。诸比库!这样的人是沙门中的不动者。

Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu pañcasu upādānakkhandhesu udayabbayānupassī viharati – ‘iti rūpaṃ, iti rūpassa samudayo, iti rūpassa atthaṅgamo; iti vedanā…pe… iti saññā…pe… iti saṅkhārā…pe… iti viññāṇaṃ, iti viññāṇassa samudayo, iti viññāṇassa atthaṅgamo’ti ; no ca kho aṭṭha vimokkhe kāyena phusitvā viharati.
