Kathaṃ bhāvitā ca, bhikkhave, ānāpānassati kathaṃ bahulīkatā mahapphalā hoti mahānisaṃsā? Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu araññagato vā rukkhamūlagato vā suññāgāragato vā nisīdati pallaṅkaṃ ābhujitvā ujuṃ kāyaṃ paṇidhāya parimukhaṃ satiṃ upaṭṭhapetvā. So satova assasati, satova passasati. Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu ānāpānassatisahagataṃ satisambojjhaṅgaṃ bhāveti vivekanissitaṃ virāganissitaṃ nirodhanissitaṃ vossaggapariṇāmiṃ, ānāpānassatisahagataṃ dhammavicayasambojjhaṅgaṃ bhāveti…pe… ānāpānassatisahagataṃ upekkhāsambojjhaṅgaṃ bhāveti vivekanissitaṃ virāganissitaṃ nirodhanissitaṃ vossaggapariṇāmiṃ. 「诸比库,入出息念被修习、被多修习,有大果、有大利益。诸比库,入出息念如何被修习、如何被多修习,有大果、有大利益?诸比库,于此,比库修习与入出息念相应的念觉支,依于远离、依于离贪、依于灭、导向舍遣;修习与入出息念相应的择法觉支……乃至……修习与入出息念相应的舍觉支,依于远离、依于离贪、依于灭、导向舍遣。诸比库,入出息念如此被修习、如此被多修习,有大果、有大利益。」第二经。

‘‘Evaṃ bhāvitāya kho, bhikkhave, ānāpānassatiyā evaṃ bahulīkatāya satta phalā sattānisaṃsā pāṭikaṅkhā. Katame satta phalā sattānisaṃsā? Diṭṭheva dhamme paṭikacca aññaṃ ārādheti; no ce diṭṭheva dhamme paṭikacca aññaṃ ārādheti. Atha maraṇakāle aññaṃ ārādheti; no ce diṭṭheva dhamme paṭikacca aññaṃ ārādheti , no ce maraṇakāle aññaṃ ārādheti. Atha pañcannaṃ orambhāgiyānaṃ saṃyojanānaṃ parikkhayā antarāparinibbāyī hoti… upahaccaparinibbāyī hoti… asaṅkhāraparinibbāyī hoti… sasaṅkhāraparinibbāyī hoti… uddhaṃsoto hoti akaniṭṭhagāmī – evaṃ bhāvitāya kho, bhikkhave, ānāpānassatiyā evaṃ bahulīkatāya ime satta phalā sattānisaṃsā pāṭikaṅkhā’’ti. Pañcamaṃ.
诸比库,入出息念如此被修习、如此被多修习,可期待七果七利益。什么是七果七利益?于现法即刻证得智;若于现法未即刻证得智,则于死时证得智;若于现法未即刻证得智,若于死时未证得智,则以五下分结的尽,成为中般涅槃者……成为生般涅槃者……成为无行般涅槃者……成为有行般涅槃者……成为上流者,前往阿咖尼吒天——诸比库,入出息念如此被修习、如此被多修习,可期待这七果七利益。」第五经。
6. Ariṭṭhasuttaṃ6. 阿利德他经
§982
Sāvatthinidānaṃ. Tatra kho bhagavā…pe… etadavoca – ‘‘bhāvetha no tumhe bhikkhave, ānāpānassati’’nti? Evaṃ vutte āyasmā ariṭṭho bhagavantaṃ etadavoca – ‘‘ahaṃ kho, bhante, bhāvemi ānāpānassati’’nti. ‘‘Yathā kathaṃ pana tvaṃ, ariṭṭha, bhāvesi ānāpānassati’’nti? ‘‘Atītesu me, bhante, kāmesu kāmacchando pahīno, anāgatesu me kāmesu kāmacchando vigato, ajjhattabahiddhā ca me dhammesu paṭighasaññā suppaṭivinītā. So satova assasissāmi, satova passasissāmi. Evaṃ khvāhaṃ, bhante, bhāvemi ānāpānassati’’nti.
沙瓦提因缘。于此世尊……乃至……说此:「诸比库,你们修习入出息念吗?」如此说时,具寿阿利德对世尊说此:「尊者,我修习入出息念。」「阿利德,你如何修习入出息念?」「尊者,对于过去的诸欲,我的欲欲已舍断;对于未来的诸欲,我的欲欲已离去;对于内外诸法,我的厌恶想已善调伏。我具念地入息,具念地出息。尊者,我如此修习入出息念。」
‘‘‘Atthesā, ariṭṭha, ānāpānassati, nesā natthī’ti vadāmi. Api ca, ariṭṭha, yathā ānāpānassati vitthārena paripuṇṇā hoti taṃ suṇāhi, sādhukaṃ manasi karohi; bhāsissāmī’’ti. ‘‘Evaṃ, bhante’’ti kho āyasmā ariṭṭho bhagavato paccassosi. Bhagavā etadavoca –
「阿利德他,此入出息念是存在的,我不说它不存在。但是,阿利德他,你应当听我如何详细地圆满入出息念,善加作意;我将说。」「是的,世尊。」具寿阿利德他回答世尊。世尊说此:—
‘‘Kathañca, ariṭṭha, ānāpānassati vitthārena paripuṇṇā hoti? Idha, ariṭṭha, bhikkhu araññagato vā rukkhamūlagato vā suññāgāragato vā nisīdati pallaṅkaṃ ābhujitvā ujuṃ kāyaṃ paṇidhāya parimukhaṃ satiṃ upaṭṭhapetvā. So satova assasati, satova passasati. Sāvatthinidānaṃ. Tena kho pana samayena āyasmā mahākappino bhagavato avidūre nisinno hoti pallaṅkaṃ ābhujitvā ujuṃ kāyaṃ paṇidhāya parimukhaṃ satiṃ upaṭṭhapetvā. Addasā kho bhagavā āyasmantaṃ mahākappinaṃ avidūre nisinnaṃ pallaṅkaṃ ābhujitvā ujuṃ kāyaṃ paṇidhāya parimukhaṃ satiṃ upaṭṭhapetvā. Disvāna bhikkhū āmantesi –
沙瓦提因缘。尔时,具寿摩诃咖宾那坐在世尊不远处,结跏趺坐,保持身体正直,使念现起于面前。世尊看见具寿摩诃咖宾那坐在不远处,结跏趺坐,保持身体正直,使念现起于面前。看见后,世尊对诸比库说:—
‘‘Passatha no tumhe, bhikkhave, etassa bhikkhuno kāyassa iñjitattaṃ vā phanditattaṃ vā’’ti? ‘‘Yadāpi mayaṃ, bhante, taṃ āyasmantaṃ passāma saṅghamajjhe vā nisinnaṃ ekaṃ vā raho nisinnaṃ, tadāpi mayaṃ tassa āyasmato na passāma kāyassa iñjitattaṃ vā phanditattaṃ vā’’ti.
「诸比库,你们看见此比库的身体有动摇或颤动吗?」「世尊,无论何时我们看见那位具寿坐在僧团中,或独自坐在隐密处,那时我们都不曾看见那位具寿的身体有动摇或颤动。」
‘‘Yassa, bhikkhave, samādhissa bhāvitattā bahulīkatattā neva kāyassa iñjitattaṃ vā hoti phanditattaṃ vā, na cittassa iñjitattaṃ vā hoti phanditattaṃ vā, tassa so, bhikkhave, bhikkhu samādhissa nikāmalābhī akicchalābhī akasiralābhī. Katamassa ca, bhikkhave, samādhissa bhāvitattā bahulīkatattā neva kāyassa iñjitattaṃ vā hoti phanditattaṃ vā, na cittassa iñjitattaṃ vā hoti phanditattaṃ vā?
「诸比库,由于修习、多修习某种定,既无身体的动摇或颤动,也无心的动摇或颤动,诸比库,那位比库是那种定的随意获得者、无困难获得者、无艰辛获得者。诸比库,由于修习、多修习何种定,既无身体的动摇或颤动,也无心的动摇或颤动呢?
‘‘Ānāpānassatisamādhissa, bhikkhave, bhāvitattā bahulīkatattā neva kāyassa iñjitattaṃ vā hoti phanditattaṃ vā, na cittassa iñjitattaṃ vā hoti phanditattaṃ vā. Kathaṃ bhāvite ca, bhikkhave, ānāpānassatisamādhimhi kathaṃ bahulīkate neva kāyassa iñjitattaṃ vā hoti phanditattaṃ vā, na cittassa iñjitattaṃ vā hoti phanditattaṃ vā?
「诸比库,由于修习、多修习入出息念定,既无身体的动摇或颤动,也无心的动摇或颤动。诸比库,如何修习入出息念定,如何多修习,既无身体的动摇或颤动,也无心的动摇或颤动呢?
‘‘Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu araññagato vā rukkhamūlagato vā suññāgāragato vā nisīdati pallaṅkaṃ ābhujitvā ujuṃ kāyaṃ paṇidhāya parimukhaṃ satiṃ upaṭṭhapetvā. ‘‘Ānāpānassatisamādhi , bhikkhave, bhāvito bahulīkato mahapphalo hoti mahānisaṃso. Kathaṃ bhāvito ca, bhikkhave, ānāpānassatisamādhi kathaṃ bahulīkato mahapphalo hoti mahānisaṃso?
「诸比库,入出息念定被修习、被多修习时,有大果、有大利益。诸比库,入出息念定如何被修习,如何被多修习时,有大果、有大利益呢?
‘‘Idha , bhikkhave, bhikkhu araññagato vā rukkhamūlagato vā suññāgāragato vā nisīdati pallaṅkaṃ ābhujitvā ujuṃ kāyaṃ paṇidhāya parimukhaṃ satiṃ upaṭṭhapetvā. So satova assasati, satova passasati. ‘‘Ahampi sudaṃ, bhikkhave, pubbeva sambodhā anabhisambuddho bodhisattova samāno iminā vihārena bahulaṃ viharāmi. Tassa mayhaṃ, bhikkhave, iminā vihārena bahulaṃ viharato neva kāyo kilamati na cakkhūni; anupādāya ca me āsavehi cittaṃ vimucci.
「诸比库,我在正觉之前,尚未正觉,还是菩萨时,也多住于此住处。诸比库,当我多住于此住处时,身不疲倦,眼不疲倦,并且我的心无取着而从诸漏解脱。」
‘‘Tasmātiha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ākaṅkheyya – ‘neva me kāyo kilameyya na cakkhūni, anupādāya ca me āsavehi cittaṃ vimucceyyā’ti, ayameva ānāpānassatisamādhi sādhukaṃ manasi kātabbo.
「诸比库,因此,于此,若比库希望『愿我身不疲倦,眼不疲倦,并且我的心无取着而从诸漏解脱』,这入出息念定应当善加作意。」
‘‘Tasmātiha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ākaṅkheyya – ‘ye me gehasitā sarasaṅkappā te pahīyeyyu’nti, ayameva ānāpānassatisamādhi sādhukaṃ manasi kātabbo.
「诸比库,因此,于此,若比库希望『愿我舍断那些与在家有关的忆念与寻』,这入出息念定应当善加作意。」
‘‘Tasmātiha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ākaṅkheyya – ‘appaṭikūle paṭikūlasaññī vihareyya’nti, ayameva ānāpānassatisamādhi sādhukaṃ manasi kātabbo.
「诸比库,因此,于此,若比库希望『愿我于不可意者住于可意想』,这入出息念定应当善加作意。」

「诸比库!因此,于此,若比库希望——『舍断不可意与可意两者后,我应具念、正知地住于舍』,这入出息念定应善加作意。
‘‘Tasmātiha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ākaṅkheyya – ‘vivicceva kāmehi vivicca akusalehi dhammehi savitakkaṃ savicāraṃ vivekajaṃ pītisukhaṃ paṭhamaṃ jhānaṃ upasampajja vihareyya’nti, ayameva ānāpānassatisamādhi sādhukaṃ manasi kātabbo.
「诸比库!因此,于此,若比库希望——『离诸欲,离诸不善法后,我应证得有寻、有伺,离生喜乐的初禅而住』,这入出息念定应善加作意。
‘‘Tasmātiha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ākaṅkheyya – ‘vitakkavicārānaṃ vūpasamā ajjhattaṃ sampasādanaṃ cetaso ekodibhāvaṃ avitakkaṃ avicāraṃ samādhijaṃ pītisukhaṃ dutiyaṃ jhānaṃ upasampajja vihareyya’nti, ayameva ānāpānassatisamādhi sādhukaṃ manasi kātabbo.
「诸比库!因此,于此,若比库希望——『寻伺止息后,内净,心专一性,无寻、无伺,定生喜乐,我应证得第二禅而住』,这入出息念定应善加作意。
‘‘Tasmātiha bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ākaṅkheyya – ‘pītiyā ca virāgā upekkhako ca vihareyyaṃ sato ca sampajāno, sukhañca kāyena paṭisaṃvedeyyaṃ, yaṃ taṃ ariyā ācikkhanti – upekkhako satimā sukhavihārīti tatiyaṃ jhānaṃ upasampajja vihareyya’nti, ayameva ānāpānassatisamādhi sādhukaṃ manasi kātabbo.
「诸比库!因此,于此,若比库希望——『喜离去后,我应住于舍,具念、正知,以身体验乐,诸圣者宣说:「具舍、具念者住于乐」,我应证得第三禅而住』,这入出息念定应善加作意。
‘‘Tasmātiha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ākaṅkheyya – ‘sukhassa ca pahānā dukkhassa ca pahānā pubbeva somanassadomanassānaṃ atthaṅgamā adukkhamasukhaṃ upekkhāsatipārisuddhiṃ catutthaṃ jhānaṃ upasampajja vihareyya’nti, ayameva ānāpānassatisamādhi sādhukaṃ manasi kātabbo.
「诸比库!因此,于此,若比库希望——『乐的舍断与苦的舍断,先前喜忧的灭没,不苦不乐,舍念清净,我应证得第四禅而住』,这入出息念定应善加作意。
‘‘Tasmātiha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ākaṅkheyya – ‘sabbaso rūpasaññānaṃ samatikkamā paṭighasaññānaṃ atthaṅgamā nānattasaññānaṃ amanasikārā ananto ākāsoti ākāsānañcāyatanaṃ upasampajja vihareyya’nti, ayameva ānāpānassatisamādhi sādhukaṃ manasi kātabbo.
「诸比库!因此,于此,若比库希望——『完全超越诸色想,诸有对想灭没,不作意诸种种想,「虚空是无边的」,我应证得虚空无边处而住』,这入出息念定应善加作意。
‘‘Tasmātiha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ākaṅkheyya – ‘sabbaso ākāsānañcāyatanaṃ samatikkamma anantaṃ viññāṇanti viññāṇañcāyatanaṃ upasampajja vihareyya’nti, ayameva ānāpānassatisamādhi sādhukaṃ manasi kātabbo.
「诸比库!因此,于此,若比库希望——『完全超越虚空无边处,「识是无边的」,我应证得识无边处而住』,这入出息念定应善加作意。
‘‘Tasmātiha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ākaṅkheyya – ‘sabbaso viññāṇañcāyatanaṃ samatikkamma natthi kiñcīti ākiñcaññāyatanaṃ upasampajja vihareyya’nti, ayameva ānāpānassatisamādhi sādhukaṃ manasi kātabbo.
「诸比库!因此,于此,若比库希望——『完全超越识无边处,「无所有」,我应证得无所有处而住』,这入出息念定应善加作意。
‘‘Tasmātiha , bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ākaṅkheyya – ‘sabbaso ākiñcaññāyatanaṃ samatikkamma nevasaññānāsaññāyatanaṃ upasampajja vihareyya’nti, ayameva ānāpānassatisamādhi sādhukaṃ manasi kātabbo.
「诸比库!因此,于此,若比库希望:『完全超越无所有处,我应成就非想非非想处而住』,这入出息念定应被善加作意。
‘‘Tasmātiha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cepi ākaṅkheyya – ‘sabbaso nevasaññānāsaññāyatanaṃ samatikkamma saññāvedayitanirodhaṃ upasampajja vihareyya’nti, ayameva ānāpānassatisamādhi sādhukaṃ manasi kātabbo.
「诸比库!因此,于此,若比库希望:『完全超越非想非非想处,我应成就想受灭而住』,这入出息念定应被善加作意。
‘‘Evaṃ bhāvite kho, bhikkhave, ānāpānassatisamādhimhi evaṃ bahulīkate, sukhaṃ ce vedanaṃ vedayati, sā ‘aniccā’ti pajānāti, ‘anajjhositā’ti pajānāti, ‘anabhinanditā’ti pajānāti; dukkhaṃ ce vedanaṃ vedayati, ‘sā aniccā’ti pajānāti, ‘anajjhositā’ti pajānāti, ‘anabhinanditā’ti pajānāti; adukkhamasukhaṃ ce vedanaṃ vedayati, ‘sā aniccā’ti pajānāti, ‘anajjhositā’ti pajānāti, ‘anabhinanditā’ti pajānāti’’.
「诸比库!当入出息念定如此修习、如此多修习时,若他感受乐受,他了知『它是无常的』,他了知『它是不被执着的』,他了知『它是不被欢喜的』;若他感受苦受,他了知『它是无常的』,他了知『它是不被执着的』,他了知『它是不被欢喜的』;若他感受不苦不乐受,他了知『它是无常的』,他了知『它是不被执着的』,他了知『它是不被欢喜的』。
‘‘Sukhaṃ ce vedanaṃ vedayati, visaṃyutto naṃ vedayati; dukkhaṃ ce vedanaṃ vedayati, visaṃyutto naṃ vedayati; adukkhamasukhaṃ ce vedanaṃ vedayati, visaṃyutto naṃ vedayati. Evaṃ me sutaṃ – ekaṃ samayaṃ bhagavā vesāliyaṃ viharati mahāvane kūṭāgārasālāyaṃ. Tena kho pana samayena bhagavā bhikkhūnaṃ anekapariyāyena asubhakathaṃ katheti, asubhāya vaṇṇaṃ bhāsati, asubhabhāvanāya vaṇṇaṃ bhāsati.
如是我闻:一时,世尊住在韦萨离大林重阁讲堂。尔时,世尊以种种方式对诸比库讲说须跋之说,赞叹须跋,赞叹须跋修习。
Atha kho bhagavā bhikkhū āmantesi – ‘‘icchāmahaṃ, bhikkhave, aḍḍhamāsaṃ paṭisallīyituṃ. Nāmhi kenaci upasaṅkamitabbo, aññatra ekena piṇḍapātanīhārakenā’’ti. ‘‘Evaṃ, bhante’’ti kho te bhikkhū bhagavato paṭissutvā nāssudha koci bhagavantaṃ upasaṅkamati, aññatra ekena piṇḍapātanīhārakena.
那时,世尊对诸比库说:「诸比库!我希望独处半月。除了一位送食者外,任何人都不应来见我。」「是的,尊者!」那些比库回答世尊后,除了一位送食者外,没有任何人去见世尊。
Atha kho te bhikkhū – ‘‘bhagavā anekapariyāyena asubhakathaṃ katheti, asubhāya vaṇṇaṃ bhāsati , asubhabhāvanāya vaṇṇaṃ bhāsatī’’ti anekākāravokāraṃ asubhabhāvanānuyogamanuyuttā viharanti. Te iminā kāyena aṭṭīyamānā harāyamānā jigucchamānā satthahārakaṃ pariyesanti. Dasapi bhikkhū ekāhena satthaṃ āharanti, vīsampi…pe… tiṃsampi bhikkhū ekāhena satthaṃ āharanti.
那时,那些比库[想]:『世尊以种种方式讲说须跋之说,赞叹须跋,赞叹须跋修习』,他们以种种方式、种种形式,从事须跋修习,精勤而住。他们对此身厌恶、羞耻、厌恶,寻求持刀者。一日之中,十位比库持刀自杀,二十位...乃至...三十位比库一日之中持刀自杀。
Atha kho bhagavā tassa aḍḍhamāsassa accayena paṭisallānā vuṭṭhito āyasmantaṃ ānandaṃ āmantesi – ‘‘kiṃ nu kho, ānanda, tanubhūto viya bhikkhusaṅgho’’ti? ‘‘Tathā hi pana, bhante, ‘bhagavā bhikkhūnaṃ anekapariyāyena asubhakathaṃ katheti, asubhāya vaṇṇaṃ bhāsati , asubhabhāvanāya vaṇṇaṃ bhāsatī’ti anekākāravokāraṃ asubhabhāvanānuyogamanuyuttā viharanti. 那时,世尊在半个月过后从独坐中出来,告诉具寿阿难:「阿难,为何比库僧团好像变少了?」「世尊,确实如此,因为『世尊以种种方式讲说须跋,赞叹须跋,赞叹须跋修习』,他们从事、致力于种种方式的须跋修习。他们对此身厌恶、羞耻、厌恶,寻求持刀者。一日之中,十位比库持刀自杀,二十位比库……三十位比库一日之中持刀自杀。世尊,善哉!请世尊教示另一个方法,使这比库僧团能证得智而安住。」
‘‘Tenahānanda, yāvatikā bhikkhū vesāliṃ upanissāya viharanti te sabbe upaṭṭhānasālāyaṃ sannipātehī’’ti. ‘‘Evaṃ, bhante’’ti kho āyasmā ānando bhagavato paṭissutvā yāvatikā bhikkhū vesāliṃ upanissāya viharanti te sabbe upaṭṭhānasālāyaṃ sannipātetvā yena bhagavā tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā bhagavantaṃ etadavoca – ‘‘sannipatito , bhante, bhikkhusaṅgho. Atha kho bhagavā yena upaṭṭhānasālā tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā paññatte āsane nisīdi. Nisajja kho bhagavā bhikkhū āmantesi – ‘‘ayampi kho, bhikkhave, ānāpānassatisamādhi bhāvito bahulīkato santo ceva paṇīto ca asecanako ca sukho ca vihāro uppannuppanne ca pāpake akusale dhamme ṭhānaso antaradhāpeti vūpasameti’’.
那时,世尊前往集会堂;抵达后,在设置好的座位上坐下。坐下后,世尊告诉比库们:「诸比库,这入出息念定,已修习、已多修习时,是寂静的、殊胜的、无杂染的、安乐的住处,并且能当下使已生起的恶不善法消失、平息。」
‘‘Seyyathāpi , bhikkhave, gimhānaṃ pacchime māse ūhataṃ rajojallaṃ, tamenaṃ mahāakālamegho ṭhānaso antaradhāpeti vūpasameti; evameva kho, bhikkhave, ānāpānassatisamādhi bhāvito bahulīkato santo ceva paṇīto ca asecanako ca sukho ca vihāro uppannuppanne ca pāpake akusale dhamme ṭhānaso antaradhāpeti vūpasameti. Kathaṃ bhāvito ca, bhikkhave, ānāpānassatisamādhi kathaṃ bahulīkato santo ceva paṇīto ca asecanako ca sukho ca vihāro uppannuppanne ca pāpake akusale dhamme ṭhānaso antaradhāpeti vūpasameti?
「诸比库,譬如在夏季最后一个月,尘土飞扬,大时节云当下使它消失、平息;同样地,诸比库,入出息念定,已修习、已多修习时,是寂静的、殊胜的、无杂染的、安乐的住处,并且能当下使已生起的恶不善法消失、平息。诸比库,入出息念定如何修习、如何多修习时,是寂静的、殊胜的、无杂染的、安乐的住处,并且能当下使已生起的恶不善法消失、平息?」
‘‘Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu araññagato vā rukkhamūlagato vā suññāgāragato vā nisīdati pallaṅkaṃ ābhujitvā ujuṃ kāyaṃ paṇidhāya parimukhaṃ satiṃ upaṭṭhapetvā. So satova assasati, satova passasati…pe… ‘paṭinissaggānupassī assasissāmī’ti sikkhati, ‘paṭinissaggānupassī passasissāmī’ti sikkhati. Evaṃ bhāvito kho, bhikkhave, ānāpānassatisamādhi evaṃ bahulīkato santo ceva paṇīto ca asecanako ca sukho ca vihāro uppannuppanne ca pāpake akusale dhamme ṭhānaso antaradhāpeti vūpasametī’’ti. Navamaṃ.
「诸比库,于此,比库前往阿兰若,或前往树下,或前往空闲处,结跏趺坐,保持身体正直,现起面前之念。他具念地入息,具念地出息……(中略)……他学习『我将随观舍遣而入息』,他学习『我将随观舍遣而出息』。诸比库,入出息念定如此修习、如此多修习时,是寂静的、殊胜的、无杂染的、安乐的住处,并且能当下使已生起的恶不善法消失、平息。」第九经。
10. Kimilasuttaṃ10. 吉弥喇经

Evaṃ me sutaṃ – ekaṃ samayaṃ bhagavā kimilāyaṃ viharati veḷuvane. Tatra kho bhagavā āyasmantaṃ kimilaṃ āmantesi – ‘‘kathaṃ bhāvito nu kho, kimila, ānāpānassatisamādhi kathaṃ bahulīkato mahapphalo hoti mahānisaṃso’’ti?
如是我闻:一时,世尊住在咖弥喇的竹林。在那里,世尊告诉具寿咖弥喇:「咖弥喇,入出息念定如何修习、如何多修习时,有大果、有大利益?」
Evaṃ vutte āyasmā kimilo tuṇhī ahosi. Dutiyampi kho bhagavā…pe… tatiyampi kho bhagavā āyasmantaṃ kimilaṃ āmantesi – ‘‘kathaṃ bhāvito nu kho, kimila, ānāpānassatisamādhi kathaṃ bahulīkato mahapphalo hoti mahānisaṃso’’ti? Tatiyampi kho āyasmā kimilo tuṇhī ahosi.
如此说时,具寿咖弥喇沉默不语。第二次,世尊……(中略)……第三次,世尊告诉具寿咖弥喇:「咖弥喇,入出息念定如何修习、如何多修习时,有大果、有大利益?」第三次,具寿咖弥喇也沉默不语。
Evaṃ vutte āyasmā ānando bhagavantaṃ etadavoca – ‘‘etassa, bhagavā, kālo; etassa, sugata, kālo! Yaṃ bhagavā ānāpānassatisamādhiṃ bhāseyya . Bhagavato sutvā bhikkhū dhāressantī’’ti.
如此说时,具寿阿难对世尊如此说:「世尊,现在正是时候;善逝,现在正是时候!请世尊讲说入出息念定。听闻世尊所说后,比库们将受持。」
‘‘Tenahānanda, suṇāhi, sādhukaṃ manasi karohi; bhāsissāmī’’ti. ‘‘Evaṃ, bhante’’ti kho āyasmā ānando bhagavato paccassosi. Bhagavā etadavoca – ‘‘kathaṃ bhāvito ca, ānanda, ānāpānassatisamādhi kathaṃ bahulīkato mahapphalo hoti mahānisaṃso? Idhānanda, bhikkhu araññagato vā rukkhamūlagato vā suññāgāragato vā nisīdati pallaṅkaṃ ābhujitvā ujuṃ kāyaṃ paṇidhāya parimukhaṃ satiṃ upaṭṭhapetvā. Taṃ kissa hetu? Kāyaññatarāhaṃ, ānanda, etaṃ vadāmi yadidaṃ – assāsapassāsaṃ. Tasmātihānanda, kāye kāyānupassī bhikkhu tasmiṃ samaye viharati ātāpī sampajāno satimā, vineyya loke abhijjhādomanassaṃ.
「阿难,当比库入息长时,他了知『我入息长』;出息长时,他了知『我出息长』;入息短时,他了知『我入息短』;出息短时,他了知『我出息短』;他学『我将觉知全身而入息』,他学『我将觉知全身而出息』;他学『我将平静身行而入息』,他学『我将平静身行而出息』——阿难,比库于那时住于在身随观身,热诚、正知、具念,调伏世间的贪忧。那是什么原因?阿难,我说这入出息是身的某一种。因此,阿难,比库于那时住于在身随观身,热诚、正知、具念,调伏世间的贪忧。」

Taṃ kissa hetu? Vedanāññatarāhaṃ, ānanda, etaṃ vadāmi, yadidaṃ – assāsapassāsānaṃ sādhukaṃ manasikāraṃ. Tasmātihānanda, vedanāsu vedanānupassī bhikkhu tasmiṃ samaye viharati ātāpī sampajāno satimā, vineyya loke abhijjhādomanassaṃ.
「阿难,当比库学『我将觉知喜而入息』,他学『我将觉知喜而出息』;他学『我将觉知乐而入息』,他学『我将觉知乐而出息』;他学『我将觉知心行而入息』,他学『我将觉知心行而出息』;他学『我将平静心行而出息』——阿难,比库于那时住于在诸受随观受,热诚、正知、具念,调伏世间的贪忧。那是什么原因?阿难,我说这对入出息的善作意是受的某一种。因此,阿难,比库于那时住于在诸受随观受,热诚、正知、具念,调伏世间的贪忧。」

Taṃ kissa hetu? Nāhaṃ, ānanda, muṭṭhassatissa asampajānassa ānāpānassatisamādhibhāvanaṃ vadāmi. Tasmātihānanda, citte cittānupassī bhikkhu tasmiṃ samaye viharati ātāpī sampajāno satimā, vineyya loke abhijjhādomanassaṃ.
「阿难,当比库学『我将觉知心而入息』,他学『我将觉知心而出息』;令心极喜悦……(中略)……令心得定……(中略)……他学『我将解脱心而入息』,他学『我将解脱心而出息』——阿难,比库于那时住于在心随观心,热诚、正知、具念,调伏世间的贪忧。那是什么原因?阿难,我不说失念、不正知者有入出息念定的修习。因此,阿难,比库于那时住于在心随观心,热诚、正知、具念,调伏世间的贪忧。」

Nāmhi kenaci upasaṅkamitabbo, aññatra ekena piṇḍapātanīhārakenā’’ti. ‘‘Evaṃ, bhante’’ti kho te bhikkhū bhagavato paṭissutvā nāssudha koci bhagavantaṃ upasaṅkamati, aññatra ekena piṇḍapātanīhārakena.
一时,世尊住在伊差难喀喇的伊差难喀喇林丛中。在那里,世尊对诸比库说:「诸比库,我想要独处三个月。除了一位送食物者之外,任何人都不应来见我。」「是的,尊者。」那些比库回答世尊后,除了一位送食物者之外,没有任何人去见世尊。

那时,世尊在三个月过后从独处出来,对诸比库说:「诸比库,如果其他外道游方者这样问:『朋友,果德玛沙门在雨安居期间多住于什么住处?』诸比库,被如此问时,你们应该这样回答那些其他外道游方者:『朋友,世尊在雨安居期间多住于入出息念定。』诸比库,在此,我具念地入息,具念地出息。入息长时,我了知『我入息长』;出息长时,我了知『我出息长』;入息短时,我了知『我入息短』;出息短时,我了知『我出息短』;我了知『我将觉知全身而入息』……(中略)……我了知『我将随观舍遣而入息』,我了知『我将随观舍遣而出息』。」

「诸比库,如果正确地说的话,应该说『圣住』也好,『梵住』也好,『如来住』也好。正确地说入出息念定的话,应该说『圣住』也好,『梵住』也好,『如来住』也好。诸比库,那些有学、未达心意、希求无上离轭安稳而住的诸比库,对他们来说,入出息念定已修习、已多修习,导向诸漏的灭尽。诸比库,那些阿拉汉、漏尽、已修习、所作已办、已卸重担、已达自己的目的、已尽有结、以正智解脱的诸比库,对他们来说,入出息念定已修习、已多修习,导向现法乐住以及念与正知。」

Ekaṃ samayaṃ āyasmā lomasakaṃbhiyo sakkesu viharati kapilavatthusmiṃ nigrodhārāme. Atha kho mahānāmo sakko yenāyasmā lomasakaṃbhiyo tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā āyasmantaṃ lomasakaṃbhiyaṃ abhivādetvā ekamantaṃ nisīdi. Ekamantaṃ nisinno kho mahānāmo sakko āyasmantaṃ lomasakaṃbhiyaṃ etadavoca – ‘‘so eva nu kho, bhante, sekho vihāro so tathāgatavihāro, udāhu aññova sekho vihāro añño tathāgatavihāro’’ti?
一时,具寿罗马沙甘比亚住在萨咖族人中,咖毕拉瓦图的尼拘律园。那时,萨咖族的马哈那马去见具寿罗马沙甘比亚;去到后,礼敬具寿罗马沙甘比亚,坐于一旁。坐于一旁的萨咖族的马哈那马对具寿罗马沙甘比亚这样说:「尊者,有学住就是如来住吗?或者有学住是一种,如来住是另一种?」
‘‘Na kho, āvuso mahānāma, sveva sekho vihāro, so tathāgatavihāro. Añño kho, āvuso mahānāma, sekho vihāro, añño tathāgatavihāro. Ye te, āvuso mahānāma, bhikkhū sekhā appattamānasā anuttaraṃ yogakkhemaṃ patthayamānā viharanti, te pañca nīvaraṇe pahāya viharanti. Katame pañca? Kāmacchandanīvaraṇaṃ pahāya viharanti, byāpādanīvaraṇaṃ…pe… thinamiddhanīvaraṇaṃ…pe… uddhaccakukkuccanīvaraṇaṃ…pe… vicikicchānīvaraṇaṃ pahāya viharanti.
「朋友马哈那马,有学住不是如来住。朋友马哈那马,有学住是一种,如来住是另一种。朋友马哈那马,那些有学、未达心意、希求无上离轭安稳而住的诸比库,他们舍断五盖而住。哪五种?他们舍断欲欲盖而住,舍断嗔恨盖……(中略)……舍断昏沉睡眠盖……(中略)……舍断掉举追悔盖……(中略)……舍断疑盖而住。」
‘‘Yepi te, āvuso mahānāma, bhikkhū sekhā appattamānasā anuttaraṃ yogakkhemaṃ patthayamānā viharanti, te ime pañca nīvaraṇe pahāya viharanti.
「贤友摩诃那摩!那些有学的、未达其心的、希求无上离轭安稳而住的比库们,他们舍断这五盖而住。
‘‘Ye ca kho te, āvuso mahānāma, bhikkhū arahanto khīṇāsavā vusitavanto katakaraṇīyā ohitabhārā anuppattasadatthā parikkhīṇabhavasaṃyojanā sammadaññā vimuttā, tesaṃ pañca nīvaraṇā pahīnā ucchinnamūlā tālāvatthukatā anabhāvaṃkatā āyatiṃ anuppādadhammā. Tadamināpetaṃ, āvuso mahānāma, pariyāyena veditabbaṃ yathā – aññova sekho vihāro, añño tathāgatavihāro.
「贤友摩诃那摩!那些阿拉汉的、漏尽的、已住梵行的、应作已作的、已卸重担的、已达自己目的的、已尽有结的、以正智解脱的比库们,他们的这五盖已断、根已断、如截断多罗树头、成为非有、于未来不再生起。贤友摩诃那摩!以此法门也应当了知:有学的住处是一种,如来的住处是另一种。

「诸比库!那些阿拉汉的、漏尽的、已住梵行的、应作已作的、已卸重担的、已达自己目的的、已尽有结的、以正智解脱的比库们,对他们来说,入出息念定已修习、已多修习,于现法中导向乐住,也导向念与正知。
‘‘Yañhi taṃ, bhikkhave, sammā vadamāno vadeyya – ariyavihāro itipi, brahmavihāro itipi, tathāgatavihāro itipi. Ānāpānassatisamādhiṃ sammā vadamāno vadeyya – ariyavihāro itipi, brahmavihāro itipi, tathāgatavihāro itipī’’ti. ‘‘Iminā kho etaṃ, āvuso mahānāma, pariyāyena veditabbaṃ, yathā – aññova sekho vihāro, añño tathāgatavihāro’’ti. ‘‘Kathaṃ bhāvito, ānanda, ānāpānassatisamādhi kathaṃ bahulīkato cattāro satipaṭṭhāne paripūreti? Idhānanda, bhikkhu araññagato vā rukkhamūlagato vā suññāgāragato vā nisīdati pallaṅkaṃ ābhujitvā ujuṃ kāyaṃ paṇidhāya parimukhaṃ satiṃ upaṭṭhapetvā. So satova assasati, satova passasati. 「阿难陀!入出息念定如何修习、如何多修习能圆满须跋?阿难陀!于此,比库去到林野,或去到树下,或去到空闲处,结跏趺坐,保持身体正直,使念现起于面前。他具念地入息,具念地出息。入息长时,他了知:『我入息长』;出息长时,他了知:『我出息长』……(中略)……他学:『我将随观舍遣而入息』,他学:『我将随观舍遣而出息』。」「阿难陀!当比库入息长时,他了知:『我入息长』;出息长时,他了知:『我出息长』;入息短……(中略)……他学:『我将平静身行而入息』,他学:『我将平静身行而出息』——阿难陀!比库在那时候于身随观身而住,热诚、正知、具念,调伏世间的贪忧。那是什么原因?阿难陀!我说这是身的一种,即:入出息。因此,阿难陀!比库在那时候于身随观身而住,热诚、正知、具念,调伏世间的贪忧。」

Taṃ kissa hetu? Vedanāññatarāhaṃ, bhikkhave, etaṃ vadāmi, yadidaṃ – assāsapassāsānaṃ sādhukaṃ manasikāraṃ. Tasmātiha , bhikkhave, vedanāsu vedanānupassī bhikkhu tasmiṃ samaye viharati ātāpī sampajāno satimā, vineyya loke abhijjhādomanassaṃ.
「诸比库!当比库体验喜……(中略)……体验乐……(中略)……体验心行……(中略)……他学『我将平静心行而入息』,他学『我将平静心行而出息』——诸比库!比库于那时住于在诸受随观受,热诚、正知、具念,调伏世间的贪忧。那是什么原因?诸比库!我说这是受之一种,即:对入息出息的善作意。因此,诸比库!比库于那时住于在诸受随观受,热诚、正知、具念,调伏世间的贪忧。」
‘‘Yasmiṃ samaye, bhikkhave, bhikkhu cittappaṭisaṃvedī…pe… abhippamodayaṃ cittaṃ…pe… ‘samādahaṃ cittaṃ assasissāmī’ti sikkhati, ‘samādahaṃ cittaṃ passasissāmī’ti sikkhati; ‘vimocayaṃ cittaṃ assasissāmī’ti sikkhati, ‘vimocayaṃ cittaṃ passasissāmī’ti sikkhati – citte cittānupassī, bhikkhave, bhikkhu tasmiṃ samaye viharati ātāpī sampajāno satimā, vineyya loke abhijjhādomanassaṃ. Taṃ kissa hetu? Nāhaṃ, bhikkhave, muṭṭhassatissa asampajānassa ānāpānassatisamādhibhāvanaṃ vadāmi. Tasmātiha, bhikkhave , citte cittānupassī bhikkhu tasmiṃ samaye viharati ātāpī sampajāno satimā, vineyya loke abhijjhādomanassaṃ.
「诸比库!当比库体验心……(中略)……令心喜悦……(中略)……他学『我将使心得定而入息』,他学『我将使心得定而出息』;他学『我将使心解脱而入息』,他学『我将使心解脱而出息』——诸比库!比库于那时住于在心随观心,热诚、正知、具念,调伏世间的贪忧。那是什么原因?诸比库!我不说失念者、不正知者有入出息念定的修习。因此,诸比库!比库于那时住于在心随观心,热诚、正知、具念,调伏世间的贪忧。」
‘‘Yasmiṃ samaye, bhikkhave, bhikkhu aniccānupassī…pe… virāgānupassī…pe… nirodhānupassī…pe… ‘paṭinissaggānupassī assasissāmī’ti sikkhati, ‘paṭinissaggānupassī passasissāmī’ti sikkhati – dhammesu dhammānupassī, bhikkhave, bhikkhu tasmiṃ samaye viharati ātāpī sampajāno satimā, vineyya loke abhijjhādomanassaṃ. So yaṃ taṃ hoti abhijjhādomanassānaṃ pahānaṃ taṃ paññāya disvā sādhukaṃ ajjhupekkhitā hoti. Tasmātiha, bhikkhave, dhammesu dhammānupassī bhikkhu tasmiṃ samaye viharati ātāpī sampajāno satimā, vineyya loke abhijjhādomanassaṃ.
「诸比库!当比库随观无常……(中略)……随观离贪……(中略)……随观灭……(中略)……他学『我将随观舍遣而入息』,他学『我将随观舍遣而出息』——诸比库!比库于那时住于在诸法随观法,热诚、正知、具念,调伏世间的贪忧。他以慧见到那贪忧的舍断,善加以旁观。因此,诸比库!比库于那时住于在诸法随观法,热诚、正知、具念,调伏世间的贪忧。」
‘‘Evaṃ bhāvito kho, bhikkhave, ānāpānassatisamādhi evaṃ bahulīkato cattāro satipaṭṭhāne paripūreti.
「诸比库!入出息念定如此已修习、如此已多修习,能圆满须跋。」
‘‘Kathaṃ bhāvitā ca, bhikkhave, cattāro satipaṭṭhānā kathaṃ bahulīkatā satta bojjhaṅge paripūrenti? Yasmiṃ samaye, bhikkhave, bhikkhu kāye kāyānupassī viharati – upaṭṭhitāssa tasmiṃ samaye bhikkhuno sati hoti asammuṭṭhā. Yasmiṃ samaye, bhikkhave, bhikkhuno upaṭṭhitā sati hoti asammuṭṭhā – satisambojjhaṅgo tasmiṃ samaye bhikkhuno āraddho hoti, satisambojjhaṅgaṃ tasmiṃ samaye bhikkhu bhāveti, satisambojjhaṅgo tasmiṃ samaye bhikkhuno bhāvanāpāripūriṃ gacchati.
「诸比库,如何修习须跋,如何多修习而圆满七觉支?诸比库,当比库住于在身随观身时——在那时,比库的念现起而不忘失。诸比库,当比库的念现起而不忘失时——在那时,比库的念觉支被发起,在那时,比库修习念觉支,在那时,比库的念觉支达到修习圆满。
‘‘So tathā sato viharanto taṃ dhammaṃ paññāya pavicinati pavicarati parivīmaṃsamāpajjati. Yasmiṃ samaye, bhikkhave, bhikkhu tathā sato viharanto taṃ dhammaṃ paññāya pavicinati pavicarati parivīmaṃsamāpajjati – dhammavicayasambojjhaṅgo tasmiṃ samaye bhikkhuno āraddho hoti, dhammavicayasambojjhaṅgaṃ tasmiṃ samaye bhikkhu bhāveti, dhammavicayasambojjhaṅgo tasmiṃ samaye bhikkhuno bhāvanāpāripūriṃ gacchati.
「如此具念而住的他,以慧对那法进行简择、伺察、到达审虑。诸比库,当比库如此具念而住,以慧对那法进行简择、伺察、到达审虑时——在那时,比库的择法觉支被发起,在那时,比库修习择法觉支,在那时,比库的择法觉支达到修习圆满。
‘‘Tassa taṃ dhammaṃ paññāya pavicinato pavicarato parivīmaṃsamāpajjato āraddhaṃ hoti vīriyaṃ asallīnaṃ. Yasmiṃ samaye, bhikkhave, bhikkhuno taṃ dhammaṃ paññāya pavicinato pavicarato parivīmaṃsamāpajjato āraddhaṃ hoti vīriyaṃ asallīnaṃ – vīriyasambojjhaṅgo tasmiṃ samaye bhikkhuno āraddho hoti, vīriyasambojjhaṅgaṃ tasmiṃ samaye bhikkhu bhāveti, vīriyasambojjhaṅgo tasmiṃ samaye bhikkhuno bhāvanāpāripūriṃ gacchati.

‘‘Āraddhavīriyassa uppajjati pīti nirāmisā. Yasmiṃ samaye, bhikkhave, bhikkhuno āraddhavīriyassa uppajjati pīti nirāmisā – pītisambojjhaṅgo tasmiṃ samaye bhikkhuno āraddho hoti, pītisambojjhaṅgaṃ tasmiṃ samaye bhikkhu bhāveti, pītisambojjhaṅgo tasmiṃ samaye bhikkhuno bhāvanāpāripūriṃ gacchati.
「对已发起精进者,生起离诸欲的喜。诸比库,当比库已发起精进者,生起离诸欲的喜时——在那时,比库的喜觉支被发起,在那时,比库修习喜觉支,在那时,比库的喜觉支达到修习圆满。
‘‘Pītimanassa kāyopi passambhati, cittampi passambhati. Yasmiṃ samaye, bhikkhave, bhikkhuno pītimanassa kāyopi passambhati, cittampi passambhati – passaddhisambojjhaṅgo tasmiṃ samaye bhikkhuno āraddho hoti, passaddhisambojjhaṅgaṃ tasmiṃ samaye bhikkhu bhāveti, passaddhisambojjhaṅgo tasmiṃ samaye bhikkhuno bhāvanāpāripūriṃ gacchati.

Yasmiṃ samaye, bhikkhave, bhikkhu tathāsamāhitaṃ cittaṃ sādhukaṃ ajjhupekkhitā hoti – upekkhāsambojjhaṅgo tasmiṃ samaye bhikkhuno āraddho hoti, upekkhāsambojjhaṅgaṃ tasmiṃ samaye bhikkhu bhāveti, upekkhāsambojjhaṅgo tasmiṃ samaye bhikkhuno bhāvanāpāripūriṃ gacchati. Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu satisambojjhaṅgaṃ bhāveti vivekanissitaṃ virāganissitaṃ nirodhanissitaṃ vossaggapariṇāmiṃ; dhammavicayasambojjhaṅgaṃ bhāveti vivekanissitaṃ virāganissitaṃ nirodhanissitaṃ vossaggapariṇāmiṃ…pe… upekkhāsambojjhaṅgaṃ bhāveti vivekanissitaṃ virāganissitaṃ nirodhanissitaṃ vossaggapariṇāmiṃ.
