‘‘Cattārome bhikkhave, iddhipādā bhāvitā bahulīkatā apārā pāraṃ gamanāya saṃvattanti. Katame cattāro? Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu chandasamādhippadhānasaṅkhārasamannāgataṃ iddhipādaṃ bhāveti, vīriyasamādhippadhānasaṅkhārasamannāgataṃ iddhipādaṃ bhāveti, cittasamādhippadhānasaṅkhārasamannāgataṃ iddhipādaṃ bhāveti, vīmaṃsāsamādhippadhānasaṅkhārasamannāgataṃ iddhipādaṃ bhāveti. Ime kho, bhikkhave, cattāro iddhipādā bhāvitā bahulīkatā apārā pāraṃ gamanāya saṃvattantī’’ti. Paṭhamaṃ.
「诸比库,这四神足已修习、已多修习,导向从此岸到彼岸。哪四种?诸比库,这里,比库修习具足欲定勤行成就的神足,修习具足精进定勤行成就的神足,修习具足心定勤行成就的神足,修习具足观定勤行成就的神足。诸比库,这四神足已修习、已多修习,导向从此岸到彼岸。」第一经。

‘‘Yesaṃ kesañci, bhikkhave, cattāro iddhipādā viraddhā, viraddho tesaṃ ariyo maggo sammā dukkhakkhayagāmī. Yesaṃ kesañci, bhikkhave, cattāro iddhipādā āraddhā, āraddho tesaṃ ariyo maggo sammā dukkhakkhayagāmī. Katame cattāro? Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu chandasamādhippadhānasaṅkhārasamannāgataṃ iddhipādaṃ bhāveti, vīriyasamādhi…pe… cittasamādhi…pe… vīmaṃsāsamādhippadhānasaṅkhārasamannāgataṃ iddhipādaṃ bhāveti. Yesaṃ kesañci, bhikkhave, ime cattāro iddhipādā viraddhā, viraddho tesaṃ ariyo maggo sammā dukkhakkhayagāmī. 4. Nibbidāsuttaṃ4. 厌离经

‘‘Cattārome, bhikkhave, iddhipādā bhāvitā bahulīkatā ekantanibbidāya virāgāya nirodhāya upasamāya abhiññāya sambodhāya nibbānāya saṃvattanti. Katame cattāro? Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu chandasamādhippadhānasaṅkhārasamannāgataṃ iddhipādaṃ bhāveti, vīriyasamādhi…pe… cittasamādhi…pe… vīmaṃsāsamādhippadhānasaṅkhārasamannāgataṃ iddhipādaṃ bhāveti. 「诸比库,这四神足已修习、已多修习,导向完全厌离、离贪、灭、寂止、证智、正觉、涅槃。哪四种?诸比库,这里,比库修习具足欲定勤行成就的神足,修习精进定……修习心定……修习具足观定勤行成就的神足。诸比库,这四神足已修习、已多修习,导向完全厌离、离贪、灭、寂止、证智、正觉、涅槃。」第四经。

‘‘Ye hi keci, bhikkhave, atītamaddhānaṃ samaṇā vā brāhmaṇā vā iddhipadesaṃ abhinipphādesuṃ sabbe te catunnaṃ iddhipādānaṃ bhāvitattā bahulīkatattā. Ye hi keci , bhikkhave, anāgatamaddhānaṃ samaṇā vā brāhmaṇā vā iddhipadesaṃ abhinipphādessanti sabbe te catunnaṃ iddhipādānaṃ bhāvitattā bahulīkatattā. Ye hi keci, bhikkhave, etarahi samaṇā vā brāhmaṇā vā iddhipadesaṃ abhinipphādenti sabbe te catunnaṃ iddhipādānaṃ bhāvitattā bahulīkatattā.
「诸比库,凡任何过去世的沙门或婆罗门成就了神通力,一切都是因为修习、多修习四神足。诸比库,凡任何未来世的沙门或婆罗门将成就神通力,一切都将是因为修习、多修习四神足。诸比库,凡任何现在的沙门或婆罗门成就神通力,一切都是因为修习、多修习四神足。

‘‘Ye hi keci, bhikkhave, atītamaddhānaṃ samaṇā vā brāhmaṇā vā samattaṃ iddhiṃ abhinipphādesuṃ, sabbe te catunnaṃ iddhipādānaṃ bhāvitattā bahulīkatattā. Ye hi keci, bhikkhave, anāgatamaddhānaṃ samaṇā vā brāhmaṇā vā samattaṃ iddhiṃ abhinipphādessanti, sabbe te catunnaṃ iddhipādānaṃ bhāvitattā bahulīkatattā. Ye hi keci, bhikkhave, etarahi samaṇā vā brāhmaṇā vā samattaṃ iddhiṃ abhinipphādenti , sabbe te catunnaṃ iddhipādānaṃ bhāvitattā bahulīkatattā.
「诸比库,凡任何过去世的沙门或婆罗门成就了圆满的神通,一切都是因为修习、多修习四神足。诸比库,凡任何未来世的沙门或婆罗门将成就圆满的神通,一切都将是因为修习、多修习四神足。诸比库,凡任何现在的沙门或婆罗门成就圆满的神通,一切都是因为修习、多修习四神足。

‘‘Ye hi keci, bhikkhave, atītamaddhānaṃ bhikkhū āsavānaṃ khayā anāsavaṃ cetovimuttiṃ paññāvimuttiṃ diṭṭheva dhamme sayaṃ abhiññā sacchikatvā upasampajja vihariṃsu, sabbe te catunnaṃ iddhipādānaṃ bhāvitattā bahulīkatattā. Ye hi keci, bhikkhave, anāgatamaddhānaṃ bhikkhū āsavānaṃ khayā anāsavaṃ cetovimuttiṃ paññāvimuttiṃ diṭṭheva dhamme sayaṃ abhiññā sacchikatvā upasampajja viharissanti, sabbe te catunnaṃ iddhipādānaṃ bhāvitattā bahulīkatattā. Ye hi keci, bhikkhave, etarahi bhikkhū āsavānaṃ khayā anāsavaṃ cetovimuttiṃ paññāvimuttiṃ diṭṭheva dhamme sayaṃ abhiññā sacchikatvā upasampajja viharanti, sabbe te catunnaṃ iddhipādānaṃ bhāvitattā bahulīkatattā.
「诸比库,凡任何过去世的比库们以诸漏尽,于现法自己以证智作证后,具足住于无漏的心解脱、慧解脱,一切都是由于修习、多修习四神足。诸比库,凡任何未来世的比库们以诸漏尽,于现法自己以证智作证后,将具足住于无漏的心解脱、慧解脱,一切都将是由于修习、多修习四神足。诸比库,凡任何现在的比库们以诸漏尽,于现法自己以证智作证后,具足住于无漏的心解脱、慧解脱,一切都是由于修习、多修习四神足。

「哪四种呢?诸比库,在此,比库修习具备欲定勤行成就的神足,修习精进定……修习心定……修习观定勤行成就的神足。诸比库,凡任何过去世的比库们以诸漏尽,于现法自己以证智作证后,具足住于无漏的心解脱、慧解脱,一切都是由于修习、多修习此四神足。诸比库,凡任何未来世的比库们以诸漏尽,于现法自己以证智作证后,将具足住于无漏的心解脱、慧解脱,一切都将是由于修习、多修习此四神足。诸比库,凡任何现在的比库们以诸漏尽,于现法自己以证智作证后,具足住于无漏的心解脱、慧解脱,一切都是由于修习、多修习此四神足。」第七经。

‘‘Cattārome, bhikkhave, iddhipādā. Katame cattāro? Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu chandasamādhippadhānasaṅkhārasamannāgataṃ iddhipādaṃ bhāveti, vīriyasamādhi…pe… cittasamādhi …pe… vīmaṃsāsamādhippadhānasaṅkhārasamannāgataṃ iddhipādaṃ bhāveti. Ime kho, bhikkhave, cattāro iddhipādā . Imesaṃ kho, bhikkhave, catunnaṃ iddhipādānaṃ bhāvitattā bahulīkatattā tathāgato ‘arahaṃ sammāsambuddho’ti vuccatī’’ti. Aṭṭhamaṃ.
「诸比库,有此四神足。哪四种呢?诸比库,在此,比库修习具备欲定勤行成就的神足,修习精进定……修习心定……修习观定勤行成就的神足。诸比库,此为四神足。诸比库,由于修习、多修习此四神足,如来被称为『阿拉汉、正等正觉者』。」第八经。

‘‘‘Ayaṃ chandasamādhippadhānasaṅkhārasamannāgato iddhipādo’ti me bhikkhave, pubbe ananussutesu dhammesu cakkhuṃ udapādi, ñāṇaṃ udapādi, paññā udapādi, vijjā udapādi, āloko udapādi. ‘So kho panāyaṃ chandasamādhippadhānasaṅkhārasamannāgato iddhipādo bhāvetabbo’ti me, bhikkhave…pe… ‘bhāvito’ti me, bhikkhave, pubbe ananussutesu dhammesu cakkhuṃ udapādi, ñāṇaṃ udapādi, paññā udapādi, vijjā udapādi, āloko udapādi.
「『此为具备欲定勤行成就的神足』,诸比库,于过去未曾听闻的诸法,我生起眼,生起智,生起慧,生起明,生起光。『此具备欲定勤行成就的神足应被修习』,诸比库……『已修习』,诸比库,于过去未曾听闻的诸法,我生起眼,生起智,生起慧,生起明,生起光。

「『此为具备精进定勤行成就的神足』,诸比库,于过去未曾听闻的诸法,我生起眼,生起智,生起慧,生起明,生起光。『此具备精进定勤行成就的神足应被修习』,诸比库……『已修习』,诸比库,于过去未曾听闻的诸法,我生起眼,生起智,生起慧,生起明,生起光。

「『此为具备观定勤行成就的神足』,诸比库,于过去未曾听闻的诸法,我生起眼,生起智,生起慧,生起明,生起光。『此具备观定勤行成就的神足应被修习』,诸比库……『已修习』,诸比库,于过去未曾听闻的诸法,我生起眼,生起智,生起慧,生起明,生起光。」第九经。
10. Cetiyasuttaṃ10. 塔庙经
§822
Evaṃ me sutaṃ – ekaṃ samayaṃ bhagavā vesāliyaṃ viharati mahāvane kūṭāgārasālāyaṃ. Atha kho bhagavā pubbaṇhasamayaṃ nivāsetvā pattacīvaramādāya vesāliṃ piṇḍāya pāvisi. Vesāliyaṃ piṇḍāya caritvā pacchābhattaṃ piṇḍapātapaṭikkanto āyasmantaṃ ānandaṃ āmantesi – ‘‘gaṇhāhi, ānanda, nisīdanaṃ. Yena cāpālaṃ cetiyaṃ tenupasaṅkamissāma divāvihārāyā’’ti. ‘‘Evaṃ bhante’’ti kho āyasmā ānando bhagavato paṭissutvā nisīdanaṃ ādāya bhagavantaṃ piṭṭhito piṭṭhito anubandhi. Atha kho bhagavā yena cāpālaṃ cetiyaṃ tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā paññatte āsane nisīdi. Āyasmāpi kho ānando bhagavantaṃ abhivādetvā ekamantaṃ nisīdi. Ekamantaṃ nisinnaṃ kho āyasmantaṃ ānandaṃ bhagavā etadavoca –
如是我闻——一时,世尊住在韦萨离大林重阁讲堂。尔时,世尊于上午时分着衣持钵,进入韦萨离为了托钵。在韦萨离行托钵后,食后从托钵食返回,告诉具寿阿难:「阿难,拿坐具。我们去洽巴喇塔庙为了日中住。」「是的,尊者。」具寿阿难应诺世尊后,拿了坐具,随行于世尊之后。尔时,世尊前往洽巴喇塔庙;抵达后,坐于所设之座。具寿阿难也礼敬世尊后,在一旁坐下。世尊对坐在一旁的具寿阿难如此说:
‘‘Ramaṇīyā, ānanda, vesālī, ramaṇīyaṃ udenaṃ cetiyaṃ, ramaṇīyaṃ gotamakaṃ cetiyaṃ, ramaṇīyaṃ sattambaṃ cetiyaṃ, ramaṇīyaṃ bahuputtaṃ cetiyaṃ , ramaṇīyaṃ sārandadaṃ cetiyaṃ , ramaṇīyaṃ cāpālaṃ cetiyaṃ. Yassa kassaci, ānanda, cattāro iddhipādā bhāvitā bahulīkatā yānīkatā vatthukatā anuṭṭhitā paricitā susamāraddhā, so ākaṅkhamāno kappaṃ vā tiṭṭheyya kappāvasesaṃ vā. Tathāgatassa kho, ānanda, cattāro iddhipādā bhāvitā bahulīkatā yānīkatā vatthukatā anuṭṭhitā paricitā susamāraddhā. Ākaṅkhamāno, ānanda, tathāgato kappaṃ vā tiṭṭheyya kappāvasesaṃ vā’’ti.
「阿难,韦萨离是令人愉悦的,屋迭那塔庙是令人愉悦的,果德玛咖塔庙是令人愉悦的,萨答巴塔庙是令人愉悦的,巴乎普答塔庙是令人愉悦的,沙兰达达塔庙是令人愉悦的,洽巴喇塔庙是令人愉悦的。阿难,任何人若已修习、已多修习四神足,已作为乘、作为基础、已确立、已熟练、已善精勤,他若愿意,能住一劫或一劫的剩余部分。阿难,如来已修习、已多修习四神足,已作为乘、作为基础、已确立、已熟练、已善精勤。阿难,如来若愿意,能住一劫或一劫的剩余部分。」
Evampi kho āyasmā ānando bhagavatā oḷārike nimitte kayiramāne oḷārike obhāse kayiramāne nāsakkhi paṭivijjhituṃ; na bhagavantaṃ yāci – ‘‘tiṭṭhatu, bhante, bhagavā kappaṃ, tiṭṭhatu sugato kappaṃ bahujanahitāya bahujanasukhāya lokānukampāya atthāya hitāya sukhāya devamanussāna’’nti yathā taṃ mārena pariyuṭṭhitacitto.
如此,当世尊作明显的暗示、作明显的明示时,具寿阿难未能洞察;未请求世尊:「尊者,愿世尊住一劫,愿善逝住一劫,为了众人的利益,为了众人的快乐,为了悲悯世间,为了天人的义利、利益、快乐。」因为他的心被魔所缠。
Dutiyampi kho bhagavā…pe… tatiyampi kho bhagavā āyasmantaṃ ānandaṃ āmantesi – ‘‘ramaṇīyā, ānanda, vesālī, ramaṇīyaṃ udenaṃ cetiyaṃ, ramaṇīyaṃ gotamakaṃ cetiyaṃ, ramaṇīyaṃ sattambaṃ cetiyaṃ, ramaṇīyaṃ bahuputtaṃ cetiyaṃ, ramaṇīyaṃ sārandadaṃ cetiyaṃ, ramaṇīyaṃ cāpālaṃ cetiyaṃ. Yassa kassaci, ānanda, cattāro iddhipādā bhāvitā bahulīkatā yānīkatā vatthukatā anuṭṭhitā paricitā susamāraddhā, so ākaṅkhamāno kappaṃ vā tiṭṭheyya kappāvasesaṃ vā. Tathāgatassa kho, ānanda, cattāro iddhipādā bhāvitā bahulīkatā yānīkatā vatthukatā anuṭṭhitā paricitā susamāraddhā. Ākaṅkhamāno, ānanda, tathāgato kappaṃ vā tiṭṭheyya kappāvasesaṃ vā’’ti.
第二次,世尊……乃至……第三次,世尊告诉具寿阿难:「阿难,韦萨离是令人愉悦的,屋迭那塔庙是令人愉悦的,果德玛咖塔庙是令人愉悦的,萨答巴塔庙是令人愉悦的,巴乎普答塔庙是令人愉悦的,沙兰达达塔庙是令人愉悦的,洽巴喇塔庙是令人愉悦的。阿难,任何人若已修习、已多修习四神足,已作为乘、作为基础、已确立、已熟练、已善精勤,他若愿意,能住一劫或一劫的剩余部分。阿难,如来已修习、已多修习四神足,已作为乘、作为基础、已确立、已熟练、已善精勤。阿难,如来若愿意,能住一劫或一劫的剩余部分。」
Evampi kho āyasmā ānando bhagavatā oḷārike nimitte kayiramāne oḷārike obhāse kayiramāne nāsakkhi paṭivijjhituṃ; na bhagavantaṃ yāci – ‘‘tiṭṭhatu, bhante, bhagavā kappaṃ, tiṭṭhatu sugato kappaṃ bahujanahitāya bahujanasukhāya lokānukampāya atthāya hitāya sukhāya devamanussāna’’nti yathā taṃ mārena pariyuṭṭhitacitto.
如此,当世尊作明显的暗示、作明显的明示时,具寿阿难未能洞察;未请求世尊:「尊者,愿世尊住一劫,愿善逝住一劫,为了众人的利益,为了众人的快乐,为了悲悯世间,为了天人的义利、利益、快乐。」因为他的心被魔所缠。
Atha kho bhagavā āyasmantaṃ ānandaṃ āmantesi – ‘‘gaccha kho tvaṃ, ānanda, yassa dāni kālaṃ maññasī’’ti. ‘‘Evaṃ, bhante’’ti kho āyasmā ānando bhagavato paṭissutvā uṭṭhāyāsanā bhagavantaṃ abhivādetvā padakkhiṇaṃ katvā avidūre aññatarasmiṃ rukkhamūle nisīdi. Atha kho māro pāpimā, acirapakkante āyasmante ānande, yena bhagavā tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā bhagavantaṃ etadavoca – ‘‘parinibbātu dāni, bhante, bhagavā, parinibbātu dāni sugato ! Parinibbānakālo dāni, bhante, bhagavato. Santi kho pana, bhante, etarahi bhikkhū bhagavato sāvakā viyattā vinītā visāradā bahussutā dhammadharā dhammānudhammappaṭipannā sāmīcippaṭipannā anudhammacārino, sakaṃ ācariyakaṃ uggahetvā ācikkhanti desenti paññapenti paṭṭhapenti vivaranti vibhajanti uttānīkaronti, uppannaṃ parappavādaṃ sahadhammena suniggahitaṃ niggahetvā sappāṭihāriyaṃ dhammaṃ desenti. 「尊者,现在世尊的比库弟子们已是聪慧的、善受教的、有自信的、多闻的、持法的、法随法行的、正行的、随法行的,学习了自己导师的教法后,教导、宣说、施设、建立、开显、分别论、阐明,以如法善折伏已生起的他论后,宣说具神变的法。尊者,愿世尊现在般涅槃,愿善逝现在般涅槃!尊者,现在是世尊般涅槃的时候了。」

Parinibbānakālo dāni, bhante, bhagavato’’ti.
「尊者!而且世尊曾说此语:『恶魔!我将不般涅槃,直到我此梵行不成为成功的、繁荣的、广布的、人多的、广大的,在天、人中善加弘扬。』尊者!现在世尊的此梵行已成为成功的、繁荣的、广布的、人多的、广大的,在天、人中善加弘扬。尊者!现在请世尊般涅槃,现在请善逝般涅槃。尊者!现在是世尊般涅槃之时。」
Evaṃ vutte bhagavā māraṃ pāpimantaṃ etadavoca – ‘‘appossukko tvaṃ, pāpima, hohi. Na ciraṃ tathāgatassa parinibbānaṃ bhavissati. Ito tiṇṇaṃ māsānaṃ accayena tathāgato parinibbāyissatī’’ti. Atha kho bhagavā cāpāle cetiye sato sampajāno āyusaṅkhāraṃ ossaji. Ossaṭṭhe ca bhagavatā āyusaṅkhāre mahābhūmicālo ahosi bhiṃsanako lomahaṃso, devadundubhiyo ca phaliṃsu. Atha kho bhagavā etamatthaṃ viditvā tāyaṃ velāyaṃ imaṃ udānaṃ udānesi –
如是说时,世尊对恶魔魔罗如此说:「恶魔!你放心吧。如来的般涅槃不久将发生。从今三个月后,如来将般涅槃。」于是,世尊在洽巴喇支提,正念、正知地舍弃寿行。当世尊舍弃寿行时,发生了大地震,令人恐怖、身毛竖立,天鼓也响起。于是,世尊了知此义后,在那时刻,自说此优陀那:
‘‘Tulamatulañca sambhavaṃ, bhavasaṅkhāramavassaji muni;
「牟尼舍弃可称量与不可称量的生有,以及有行;
Ajjhattarato samāhito, abhindi kavacamivattasambhava’’nti. dasamaṃ;
乐于内在、得定,他破除了自己生有的铠甲。」第十。

沙瓦提因缘。「诸比库!在我正觉之前,当还是未正觉的菩萨时,我这样想:『什么是因,什么是缘,为了修习神足?』诸比库!我这样想:『在此,比库修习具足欲定勤行成就的神足——如此我的欲将不会太松弛,也不会太紧张,不会向内收缩,也不会向外散乱。他安住于后前想——如前那样后,如后那样前;如下那样上,如上那样下;如昼那样夜,如夜那样昼。如此,以开放的心、无覆盖的心,修习有光明的心。』

‘‘Evaṃ bhāvitesu kho, bhikkhu, catūsu iddhipādesu evaṃ bahulīkatesu, anekavihitaṃ iddhividhaṃ paccanubhoti – ekopi hutvā bahudhā hoti, bahudhāpi hutvā eko hoti; āvibhāvaṃ, tirobhāvaṃ; tirokuṭṭaṃ tiropākāraṃ tiropabbataṃ asajjamāno gacchati, seyyathāpi ākāse; pathaviyāpi ummujjanimujjaṃ karoti, seyyathāpi udake; udakepi abhijjamāne gacchati, seyyathāpi pathaviyaṃ; ākāsepi pallaṅkena kamati, seyyathāpi pakkhī sakuṇo; imepi candimasūriye evaṃmahiddhike evaṃmahānubhāve pāṇinā parimasati parimajjati; yāva brahmalokāpi kāyena vasaṃ vatteti.
『诸比库!当如此修习四神足,如此多修习时,他体验种种神通——成为一个后成为多个,成为多个后成为一个;显现、隐没;无碍地穿过墙壁、围墙、山岳而行,犹如在虚空中;在地中出没,犹如在水中;在水上不沉而行,犹如在地上;在空中以跏趺坐而行,犹如有翼之鸟;以手触摸、抚摸如此大神力、如此大威力的日月;乃至以身自在行至梵天界。』
‘‘Evaṃ bhāvitesu kho, bhikkhu, catūsu iddhipādesu evaṃ bahulīkatesu dibbāya sotadhātuyā visuddhāya atikkantamānusikāya ubho sadde suṇāti – dibbe ca mānuse ca, dūre santike cāti.
「比库,当如此修习四神足、如此多修习时,以清净、超越人的天耳界,听闻两种声音——天的与人的,远的与近的。」
‘‘Evaṃ bhāvitesu kho, bhikkhu, catūsu iddhipādesu evaṃ bahulīkatesu, parasattānaṃ parapuggalānaṃ cetasā ceto paricca pajānāti. 「比库,当如此修习四神足、如此多修习时,以心了知其他有情、其他人的心。他了知有贪的心为『有贪的心』;了知离贪的心为『离贪的心』;了知有嗔的心为『有嗔的心』;了知离嗔的心为『离嗔的心』;了知有痴的心为『有痴的心』;了知离痴的心为『离痴的心』;了知收缩的心为『收缩的心』;了知散乱的心为『散乱的心』;了知广大的心为『广大的心』;了知不广大的心为『不广大的心』;了知有上的心为『有上的心』;了知无上的心为『无上的心』;了知得定的心为『得定的心』;了知未得定的心为『未得定的心』;了知解脱的心为『解脱的心』;了知未解脱的心为『未解脱的心』。」
‘‘Evaṃ bhāvitesu kho, bhikkhu, catūsu iddhipādesu evaṃ bahulīkatesu, anekavihitaṃ pubbenivāsaṃ anussarati, seyyathidaṃ – ekampi jātiṃ dvepi jātiyo tissopi jātiyo catassopi jātiyo pañcapi jātiyo dasapi jātiyo vīsampi jātiyo tiṃsampi jātiyo cattālīsampi jātiyo paññāsampi jātiyo jātisatampi jātisahassampi jātisatasahassampi anekepi saṃvaṭṭakappe anekepi vivaṭṭakappe anekepi saṃvaṭṭavivaṭṭakappe – ‘amutrāsiṃ evaṃnāmo evaṃgotto evaṃvaṇṇo evamāhāro evaṃsukhadukkhappaṭisaṃvedī evamāyupariyanto, so tato cuto amutra udapādiṃ ; tatrāpāsiṃ evaṃnāmo evaṃgotto evaṃvaṇṇo evamāhāro evaṃsukhadukkhappaṭisaṃvedī evamāyupariyanto, so tato cuto idhūpapanno’ti. Iti sākāraṃ sauddesaṃ anekavihitaṃ pubbenivāsaṃ anussarati.
「比库,当如此修习四神足、如此多修习时,他忆念种种宿住,即:一生、二生、三生、四生、五生、十生、二十生、三十生、四十生、五十生、百生、千生、百千生,许多坏劫、许多成劫、许多坏成劫——『在那里,我是这样的名、这样的姓、这样的容貌、这样的食物、感受这样的苦乐、这样的寿量,从那里死后,我生于那里;在那里,我也是这样的名、这样的姓、这样的容貌、这样的食物、感受这样的苦乐、这样的寿量,从那里死后,我生于此处』。如此,他忆念有行相、有细节的种种宿住。
‘‘Evaṃ bhāvitesu kho bhikkhu, catūsu iddhipādesu evaṃ bahulīkatesu, dibbena cakkhunā visuddhena atikkantamānusakena satte passati cavamāne upapajjamāne hīne paṇīte suvaṇṇe dubbaṇṇe, sugate duggate yathākammūpage satte pajānāti – ‘ime vata, bhonto, sattā kāyaduccaritena samannāgatā vacīduccaritena samannāgatā manoduccaritena samannāgatā ariyānaṃ upavādakā micchādiṭṭhikā micchādiṭṭhikammasamādānā; te kāyassa bhedā paraṃ maraṇā apāyaṃ duggatiṃ vinipātaṃ nirayaṃ upapannā. Ime vā pana, bhonto, sattā kāyasucaritena samannāgatā vacīsucaritena samannāgatā manosucaritena samannāgatā ariyānaṃ anupavādakā sammādiṭṭhikā sammādiṭṭhikammasamādānā; te kāyassa bhedā paraṃ maraṇā sugatiṃ saggaṃ lokaṃ upapannā’ti. Iti dibbena cakkhunā visuddhena atikkantamānusakena satte passati cavamāne upapajjamāne hīne paṇīte suvaṇṇe dubbaṇṇe, sugate duggate yathākammūpage satte pajānāti.
「比库,当如此修习四神足、如此多修习时,以清净、超越人的天眼,见到有情死时、生时,低劣的、殊胜的,美的、丑的,幸运的、不幸的,他了知随业而去的有情——『诸位尊者,这些有情具足身恶行、具足语恶行、具足意恶行,诽谤圣者,邪见,受持邪见业;他们身坏命终后,生于苦处、恶趣、堕处、地狱。或者,诸位尊者,这些有情具足身善行、具足语善行、具足意善行,不诽谤圣者,正见,受持正见业;他们身坏命终后,生于善趣、天界』。如此,以清净、超越人的天眼,见到有情死时、生时,低劣的、殊胜的,美的、丑的,幸运的、不幸的,他了知随业而去的有情。

Uppannānaṃ pāpakānaṃ akusalānaṃ dhammānaṃ pahānāya chandaṃ janeti vāyamati vīriyaṃ ārabhati cittaṃ paggaṇhāti padahati. Anuppannānaṃ kusalānaṃ dhammānaṃ uppādāya chandaṃ janeti vāyamati vīriyaṃ ārabhati cittaṃ paggaṇhāti padahati. Evaṃ me sutaṃ – ekaṃ samayaṃ bhagavā sāvatthiyaṃ viharati pubbārāme migāramātupāsāde. Tena kho pana samayena sambahulā bhikkhū heṭṭhāmigāramātupāsāde viharanti uddhatā unnaḷā capalā mukharā vikiṇṇavācā muṭṭhassatino asampajānā asamāhitā bhantacittā pākatindriyā.
如是我闻——一时,世尊住在沙瓦提城东园鹿母讲堂。尔时,众多比库住在鹿母讲堂下层,掉举、轻躁、轻浮、饶舌、杂语、失念、不正知、不得定、心散乱、诸根放逸。
Atha kho bhagavā āyasmantaṃ mahāmoggallānaṃ āmantesi – ‘‘ete kho, moggallāna, sabrahmacārino heṭṭhāmigāramātupāsāde viharanti uddhatā unnaḷā capalā mukharā vikiṇṇavācā muṭṭhassatino asampajānā asamāhitā bhantacittā pākatindriyā. Gaccha, moggallāna, te bhikkhū saṃvejehī’’ti.
那时,世尊对具寿马哈摩嘎喇那说:「摩嘎喇那!这些同梵行者住在鹿母讲堂下层,掉举、轻躁、轻浮、饶舌、杂语、失念、不正知、不得定、心散乱、诸根放逸。摩嘎喇那!你去使那些比库惊悚。」
‘‘Evaṃ, bhante’’ti kho āyasmā mahāmoggallāno bhagavato paṭissutvā tathārūpaṃ iddhābhisaṅkhāraṃ abhisaṅkhāresi yathā pādaṅguṭṭhakena migāramātupāsādaṃ saṅkampesi sampakampesi sampacālesi. Atha kho te bhikkhū saṃviggā lomahaṭṭhajātā ekamantaṃ aṭṭhaṃsu – ‘‘acchariyaṃ vata, bho, abbhutaṃ vata, bho! Nivātañca vata ayañca migāramātupāsādo gambhīranemo sunikhāto acalo asampakampī, atha ca pana saṅkampito sampakampito sampacālito’’ti!
「是的,尊者!」具寿马哈摩嘎喇那回答世尊后,作如此神变行,以足趾使鹿母讲堂震动、遍震动、遍摇动。那时,那些比库惊悚、身毛竖立,站立在一边:「实在不可思议啊,贤友们!实在未曾有啊,贤友们!无风,而这鹿母讲堂地基深厚、善埋、不动、不摇,然而却震动、遍震动、遍摇动!」
Atha kho bhagavā yena te bhikkhū tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā te bhikkhū bhagavā etadavoca – ‘‘kiṃ nu tumhe, bhikkhave, saṃviggā lomahaṭṭhajātā ekamantaṃ ṭhitā’’ti? ‘‘Acchariyaṃ, bhante, abbhutaṃ bhante! Nivātañca vata ayañca migāramātupāsādo gambhīranemo sunikhāto acalo asampakampī, atha ca pana saṅkampito sampakampito sampacālito’’ti! ‘‘Tumheva kho, bhikkhave, saṃvejetukāmena moggallānena bhikkhunā pādaṅguṭṭhakena migāramātupāsādo, saṅkampito sampakampito sampacālito. Taṃ kiṃ maññatha, bhikkhave, katamesaṃ dhammānaṃ bhāvitattā bahulīkatattā moggallāno bhikkhu evaṃmahiddhiko evaṃmahānubhāvo’’ti ? ‘‘Bhagavaṃmūlakā no, bhante, dhammā, bhagavaṃnettikā bhagavaṃpaṭisaraṇā. Sādhu vata, bhante, bhagavantaṃyeva paṭibhātu etassa bhāsitassa attho. Bhagavato sutvā bhikkhū dhāressantī’’ti.
那时,世尊走向那些比库们;走近后,世尊对那些比库们如此说——「诸比库!为何你们惊恐、毛发竖立地站在一旁?」「尊者!稀有啊!尊者!未曾有啊!尊者!确实无风,而这鹿母讲堂地基深厚、善埋、不动、不摇,然而却被震动、被摇动、被摇撼!」「诸比库!正是想要使你们惊恐的摩嘎剌那比库以足趾震动、摇动、摇撼了鹿母讲堂。诸比库!你们认为如何?由于修习、多修习哪些法,摩嘎剌那比库有如此大神通、如此大威力?」「尊者!我们的法以世尊为根本,以世尊为引导,以世尊为依归。尊者!实在好啊!愿世尊阐明此所说之义。诸比库听闻世尊所说后将忆持。」
‘‘Tena hi, bhikkhave, suṇātha. Catunnaṃ kho, bhikkhave, iddhipādānaṃ bhāvitattā bahulīkatattā moggallāno bhikkhu evaṃmahiddhiko evaṃmahānubhāvo. Katamesaṃ catunnaṃ? 5. Uṇṇābhabrāhmaṇasuttaṃ5. 伍纳巴婆罗门经

Evaṃ me sutaṃ – ekaṃ samayaṃ āyasmā ānando kosambiyaṃ viharati ghositārāme. Atha kho uṇṇābho brāhmaṇo yenāyasmā ānando tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā āyasmatā ānandena saddhiṃ sammodi. Sammodanīyaṃ kathaṃ sāraṇīyaṃ vītisāretvā ekamantaṃ nisīdi. Ekamantaṃ nisinno kho uṇṇābho brāhmaṇo āyasmantaṃ ānandaṃ etadavoca – ‘‘kimatthiyaṃ nu kho, bho ānanda, samaṇe gotame brahmacariyaṃ vussatī’’ti? ‘‘Chandappahānatthaṃ kho, brāhmaṇa, bhagavati brahmacariyaṃ vussatī’’ti.
如是我闻——一时,具寿阿难住在国桑比城瞿师多园。那时,伍那跋婆罗门走向具寿阿难;走近后,与具寿阿难互相问候。交换了友好、值得忆念的话语后,在一旁坐下。在一旁坐下的伍那跋婆罗门对具寿阿难如此说——「阿难先生!在沙门果德玛座下修梵行是为了什么目的?」「婆罗门!在世尊座下修梵行是为了断除欲。」
‘‘Atthi pana, bho ānanda, maggo atthi paṭipadā etassa chandassa pahānāyā’’ti? ‘‘Atthi kho, brāhmaṇa, maggo atthi paṭipadā etassa chandassa pahānāyā’’ti.
「阿难先生!是否有道、有道迹能断除此欲?」「婆罗门!有道、有道迹能断除此欲。」
‘‘Katamo pana, bho ānanda, maggo katamā paṭipadā etassa chandassa pahānāyā’’ti? ‘‘Idha, brāhmaṇa, bhikkhu chandasamādhippadhānasaṅkhārasamannāgataṃ iddhipādaṃ bhāveti, vīriyasamādhi…pe… cittasamādhi…pe… vīmaṃsāsamādhippadhānasaṅkhārasamannāgataṃ iddhipādaṃ bhāveti – ayaṃ kho, brāhmaṇa, maggo ayaṃ paṭipadā etassa chandassa pahānāyā’’ti.
「阿难先生!什么是道、什么是道迹能断除此欲?」「婆罗门!于此,比库修习具足欲定勤行成就的神足,修习精进定……修习心定……修习观定勤行成就的神足——婆罗门!这是道、这是道迹能断除此欲。」
‘‘Evaṃ sante, bho ānanda, santakaṃ hoti no asantakaṃ. Chandeneva chandaṃ pajahissatīti – netaṃ ṭhānaṃ vijjati’’. ‘‘Tena hi, brāhmaṇa, taññevettha paṭipucchissāmi. Yathā te khameyya tathā taṃ byākareyyāsi. Taṃ kiṃ maññasi, brāhmaṇa, ahosi te pubbe chando ‘ārāmaṃ gamissāmī’ti? Tassa te ārāmagatassa yo tajjo chando so paṭippassaddho’’ti? ‘‘Evaṃ , bho’’. ‘‘Ahosi te pubbe vīriyaṃ ‘ārāmaṃ gamissāmī’ti? Tassa te ārāmagatassa yaṃ tajjaṃ vīriyaṃ taṃ paṭippassaddha’’nti? ‘‘Evaṃ, bho’’. ‘‘Ahosi te pubbe cittaṃ ‘ārāmaṃ gamissāmī’ti? Tassa te ārāmagatassa yaṃ tajjaṃ cittaṃ taṃ paṭippassaddha’’nti? ‘‘Evaṃ, bho’’. ‘‘Ahosi te pubbe vīmaṃsā ‘ārāmaṃ gamissāmī’ti? Tassa te ārāmagatassa yā tajjā vīmaṃsā sā paṭippassaddhā’’ti? ‘‘Evaṃ, bho’’.
「阿难先生!如此的话,这是有终结的还是无终结的?以欲来断除欲——这是须跋的。」「那么,婆罗门!我就此反问你。你认为合适的话,就那样回答。婆罗门!你认为如何?你先前是否有欲『我将去园林』?当你到达园林后,那与此相关的欲是否平息了?」「是的,先生。」「你先前是否有精进『我将去园林』?当你到达园林后,那与此相关的精进是否平息了?」「是的,先生。」「你先前是否有心『我将去园林』?当你到达园林后,那与此相关的心是否平息了?」「是的,先生。」「你先前是否有观『我将去园林』?当你到达园林后,那与此相关的观是否平息了?」「是的,先生。」
‘‘Evameva kho, brāhmaṇa, yo so bhikkhu arahaṃ khīṇāsavo vusitavā katakaraṇīyo ohitabhāro anuppattasadattho parikkhīṇabhavasaṃyojano sammadaññā vimutto, tassa yo pubbe chando ahosi arahattappattiyā, arahattappatte yo tajjo chando so paṭippassaddho; yaṃ pubbe vīriyaṃ ahosi arahattappattiyā, arahattappatte yaṃ tajjaṃ vīriyaṃ taṃ paṭippassaddhaṃ; yaṃ pubbe cittaṃ ahosi arahattappattiyā, arahattappatte yaṃ tajjaṃ cittaṃ taṃ paṭippassaddhaṃ; yā pubbe vīmaṃsā ahosi arahattappattiyā, arahattappatte yā tajjā vīmaṃsā sā paṭippassaddhā. Seyyathāpi, bho ānanda, nikkujjitaṃ vā ukkujjeyya, paṭicchannaṃ vā vivareyya, mūḷhassa vā maggaṃ ācikkheyya, andhakāre vā telapajjotaṃ dhāreyya – cakkhumanto rūpāni dakkhantīti; evamevaṃ bhotā ānandena anekapariyāyena dhammo pakāsito. 「诸比库,什么是过于松弛的欲?诸比库,凡是伴随懈怠、与懈怠相应的欲——诸比库,这称为过于松弛的欲。」
‘‘Katamo ca, bhikkhave, atippaggahito chando? Yo, bhikkhave, chando uddhaccasahagato uddhaccasampayutto – ayaṃ vuccati, bhikkhave, atippaggahito chando.
「诸比库,什么是过于紧绷的欲?诸比库,凡是伴随掉举、与掉举相应的欲——诸比库,这称为过于紧绷的欲。」
‘‘Katamo ca, bhikkhave, ajjhattaṃ saṃkhitto chando? Yo, bhikkhave, chando thinamiddhasahagato thinamiddhasampayutto – ayaṃ vuccati, bhikkhave, ajjhattaṃ saṃkhitto chando.
「诸比库,什么是内收的欲?诸比库,凡是伴随昏沉睡眠、与昏沉睡眠相应的欲——诸比库,这称为内收的欲。」
‘‘Katamo ca, bhikkhave, bahiddhā vikkhitto chando? Yo, bhikkhave, chando bahiddhā pañca kāmaguṇe ārabbha anuvikkhitto anuvisaṭo – ayaṃ vuccati, bhikkhave, bahiddhā vikkhitto chando.
「诸比库,什么是外散的欲?诸比库,凡是缘于外在的五欲功德而散乱、遍散的欲——诸比库,这称为外散的欲。」
‘‘Kathañca, bhikkhave, bhikkhu pacchāpuresaññī ca viharati – yathā pure tathā pacchā, yathā pacchā tathā pure? Idha , bhikkhave, bhikkhuno pacchāpuresaññā suggahitā hoti sumanasikatā sūpadhāritā suppaṭividdhā paññāya. Evaṃ kho, bhikkhave, bhikkhu pacchāpuresaññī ca viharati – yathā pure tathā pacchā, yathā pacchā tathā pure.

Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu imameva kāyaṃ uddhaṃ pādatalā adho kesamatthakā tacapariyantaṃ pūraṃ nānappakārassa asucino paccavekkhati – ‘atthi imasmiṃ kāye kesā lomā nakhā dantā taco maṃsaṃ nhāru aṭṭhi aṭṭhimiñjaṃ vakkaṃ hadayaṃ yakanaṃ kilomakaṃ pihakaṃ papphāsaṃ antaṃ antaguṇaṃ udariyaṃ karīsaṃ pittaṃ semhaṃ pubbo lohitaṃ sedo medo assu vasā kheḷo siṅghāṇikā lasikā mutta’nti. Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu yehi ākārehi yehi liṅgehi yehi nimittehi divā chandasamādhippadhānasaṅkhārasamannāgataṃ iddhipādaṃ bhāveti, so tehi ākārehi tehi liṅgehi tehi nimittehi rattiṃ chandasamādhippadhānasaṅkhārasamannāgataṃ iddhipādaṃ bhāveti; yehi vā pana ākārehi yehi liṅgehi yehi nimittehi rattiṃ chandasamādhippadhānasaṅkhārasamannāgataṃ iddhipādaṃ bhāveti, so tehi ākārehi tehi liṅgehi tehi nimittehi divā chandasamādhippadhānasaṅkhārasamannāgataṃ iddhipādaṃ bhāveti. ‘‘Kathañca , bhikkhave, bhikkhu vivaṭena cetasā apariyonaddhena sappabhāsaṃ cittaṃ bhāveti? Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhuno ālokasaññā suggahitā hoti divāsaññā svādhiṭṭhitā. Evaṃ kho, bhikkhave, bhikkhu vivaṭena cetasā apariyonaddhena sappabhāsaṃ cittaṃ bhāveti.
「诸比库,比库如何以开放之心、不被覆盖而修习有光明之心?诸比库,于此,比库的光明想善取,日想善确立。诸比库,比库如此以开放之心、不被覆盖而修习有光明之心。
‘‘Katamañca , bhikkhave, atilīnaṃ vīriyaṃ? Yaṃ, bhikkhave, vīriyaṃ kosajjasahagataṃ kosajjasampayuttaṃ – idaṃ vuccati, bhikkhave, atilīnaṃ vīriyaṃ.

Ekamantaṃ nisinno kho āyasmā ānando bhagavantaṃ etadavoca – ‘‘abhijānāti nu kho, bhante, bhagavā iddhiyā manomayena kāyena brahmalokaṃ upasaṅkamitā’’ti? ‘‘Abhijānāmi khvāhaṃ, ānanda, iddhiyā manomayena kāyena brahmalokaṃ upasaṅkamitā’’ti. ‘‘Abhijānāti pana, bhante, bhagavā iminā cātumahābhūtikena kāyena iddhiyā brahmalokaṃ upasaṅkamitā’’ti ? ‘‘Abhijānāmi khvāhaṃ, ānanda, iminā cātumahābhūtikena kāyena iddhiyā brahmalokaṃ upasaṅkamitā’’ti.

Diṭṭheva dhamme paṭikacca aññaṃ ārādheti no ce diṭṭheva dhamme paṭikacca aññaṃ ārādheti; atha maraṇakāle aññaṃ ārādheti, no ce diṭṭheva dhamme paṭikacca aññaṃ ārādheti, no ce maraṇakāle aññaṃ ārādheti; atha pañcannaṃ orambhāgiyānaṃ saṃyojanānaṃ parikkhayā antarāparinibbāyī hoti, upahaccaparinibbāyī hoti, asaṅkhāraparinibbāyī hoti, sasaṅkhāraparinibbāyī hoti, uddhaṃsoto hoti akaniṭṭhagāmī. Imesaṃ kho, bhikkhave, catunnaṃ iddhipādānaṃ bhāvitattā bahulīkatattā ime satta phalā sattānisaṃsā pāṭikaṅkhā’’ti. Chaṭṭhaṃ.
「什么是七果七利益?于现法中即证得智,若不于现法中即证得智,则于死时证得智;若不于现法中即证得智,若不于死时证得智,则以五下分结的灭尽而成为中般涅槃者、生般涅槃者、无行般涅槃者、有行般涅槃者、上流者至色究竟天。诸比库,由于修习、多修习此四神足,可期待这七果七利益。」第六经。
