沙瓦提因缘。尔时,具寿拉塔诣世尊处;诣已,礼敬世尊后,坐于一旁。坐于一旁的具寿拉塔对世尊如是说——
‘‘‘Māro, māro’ti, bhante, vuccati. Kittāvatā nu kho, bhante, māro’’ti? ‘‘Rūpe kho, rādha, sati māro vā assa māretā vā yo vā pana mīyati. Tasmātiha tvaṃ, rādha, rūpaṃ māroti passa, māretāti passa, mīyatīti passa, rogoti passa, gaṇḍoti passa, sallanti passa, aghanti passa, aghabhūtanti passa. Ye naṃ evaṃ passanti te sammā passanti. Vedanāya sati… saññāya sati… saṅkhāresu sati… viññāṇe sati māro vā assa māretā vā yo vā pana mīyati. Tasmātiha tvaṃ, rādha, viññāṇaṃ māroti passa, māretāti passa, mīyatīti passa, rogoti passa, gaṇḍoti passa, sallanti passa, aghanti passa, aghabhūtanti passa. Ye naṃ evaṃ passanti, te sammā passantī’’ti.
「尊者,所谓『魔,魔』。尊者,到什么程度称为魔呢?」「拉塔,当有色时,即有魔,或杀者,或被杀者。因此,拉塔,你应当见色为魔,见为杀者,见为被杀者,见为病,见为肿瘤,见为刺,见为苦,见为苦之物。凡如是见者,彼等正见。当有受时……当有想时……当有诸行时……当有识时,即有魔,或杀者,或被杀者。因此,拉塔,你应当见识为魔,见为杀者,见为被杀者,见为病,见为肿瘤,见为刺,见为苦,见为苦之物。凡如是见者,彼等正见。」
‘‘Sammādassanaṃ pana, bhante, kimatthiya’’nti? ‘‘Sammādassanaṃ kho, rādha, nibbidatthaṃ’’. ‘‘Nibbidā pana, bhante, kimatthiyā’’ti? ‘‘Nibbidā kho, rādha, virāgatthā’’. ‘‘Virāgo pana, bhante , kimatthiyo’’ti? ‘‘Virāgo kho, rādha, vimuttattho’’. ‘‘Vimutti pana, bhante, kimatthiyā’’ti? ‘‘Vimutti kho, rādha, nibbānatthā’’. ‘‘Nibbānaṃ pana, bhante, kimatthiya’’nti? ‘‘Accayāsi , rādha, pañhaṃ, nāsakkhi pañhassa pariyantaṃ gahetuṃ. Nibbānogadhañhi, rādha, brahmacariyaṃ vussati, nibbānaparāyanaṃ nibbānapariyosāna’’nti. Paṭhamaṃ.
「尊者,然而正见是为了什么?」「拉塔,正见是为了厌离。」「尊者,然而厌离是为了什么?」「拉塔,厌离是为了离贪。」「尊者,然而离贪是为了什么?」「拉塔,离贪是为了解脱。」「尊者,然而解脱是为了什么?」「拉塔,解脱是为了涅槃。」「尊者,然而涅槃是为了什么?」「拉塔,你的问题超越了,你不能把握问题的边际。拉塔,梵行的生活是以涅槃为归趣,以涅槃为彼岸,以涅槃为终极。」第一经。

Sāvatthinidānaṃ. Ekamantaṃ nisinno kho āyasmā rādho bhagavantaṃ etadavoca – ‘‘‘satto, satto’ti, bhante, vuccati. Kittāvatā nu kho, bhante , sattoti vuccatī’’ti? ‘‘Rūpe kho, rādha, yo chando yo rāgo yā nandī yā taṇhā, tatra satto, tatra visatto, tasmā sattoti vuccati. Vedanāya… saññāya… saṅkhāresu… viññāṇe yo chando yo rāgo yā nandī yā taṇhā, tatra satto, tatra visatto, tasmā sattoti vuccati’’.
沙瓦提因缘。坐于一旁的具寿拉塔对世尊如是说——「尊者,所谓『有情,有情』。尊者,到什么程度称为有情呢?」「拉塔,于色,凡有欲、有贪、有喜、有渴爱,于彼执着,于彼系缚,因此称为有情。于受……于想……于诸行……于识,凡有欲、有贪、有喜、有渴爱,于彼执着,于彼系缚,因此称为有情。」
‘‘Seyyathāpi, rādha, kumārakā vā kumārikāyo vā paṃsvāgārakehi kīḷanti. Yāvakīvañca tesu paṃsvāgārakesu avigatarāgā honti avigatacchandā avigatapemā avigatapipāsā avigatapariḷāhā avigatataṇhā, tāva tāni paṃsvāgārakāni allīyanti keḷāyanti dhanāyanti mamāyanti. Yato ca kho, rādha, kumārakā vā kumārikāyo vā tesu paṃsvāgārakesu vigatarāgā honti vigatacchandā vigatapemā vigatapipāsā vigatapariḷāhā vigatataṇhā, atha kho tāni paṃsvāgārakāni hatthehi ca pādehi ca vikiranti vidhamanti viddhaṃsenti vikīḷaniyaṃ karonti. Evameva kho, rādha, tumhepi rūpaṃ vikiratha vidhamatha viddhaṃsetha vikīḷaniyaṃ karotha taṇhākkhayāya paṭipajjatha. Vedanaṃ vikiratha vidhamatha viddhaṃsetha vikīḷaniyaṃ karotha taṇhākkhayāya paṭipajjatha. Saññaṃ… saṅkhāre vikiratha vidhamatha viddhaṃsetha vikīḷaniyaṃ karotha taṇhākkhayāya paṭipajjatha. Viññāṇaṃ vikiratha vidhamatha viddhaṃsetha vikīḷaniyaṃ karotha taṇhākkhayāya paṭipajjatha. Taṇhākkhayo hi, rādha, nibbāna’’nti. Dutiyaṃ.
「拉塔,譬如童男或童女以沙屋游戏。只要他们对那些沙屋未离贪、未离欲、未离爱、未离渴、未离热恼、未离渴爱,他们就亲近、嬉戏、珍惜、执着那些沙屋。拉塔,然而当童男或童女对那些沙屋已离贪、已离欲、已离爱、已离渴、已离热恼、已离渴爱时,他们就以手足破坏、毁灭、粉碎那些沙屋,使之不堪游戏。同样地,拉塔,你们也应破坏色、毁灭、粉碎,使之不堪游戏,为了渴爱的灭尽而行道。你们应破坏受、毁灭、粉碎,使之不堪游戏,为了渴爱的灭尽而行道。你们应破坏想……你们应破坏诸行、毁灭、粉碎,使之不堪游戏,为了渴爱的灭尽而行道。你们应破坏识、毁灭、粉碎,使之不堪游戏,为了渴爱的灭尽而行道。拉塔,渴爱的灭尽即是涅槃。」第二经。
3. Bhavanettisuttaṃ3. 有导经

Katamā nu kho, bhante, bhavanetti, katamo bhavanettinirodho’’ti? ‘‘Rūpe kho, rādha, yo chando yo rāgo yā nandī yā taṇhā ye upayupādānā cetaso adhiṭṭhānābhinivesānusayā – ayaṃ vuccati bhavanetti. Tesaṃ nirodho bhavanettinirodho. Vedanāya… saññāya… saṅkhāresu … viññāṇe yo chando…pe… adhiṭṭhānābhinivesānusayā – ayaṃ vuccati bhavanetti. Tesaṃ nirodho bhavanettinirodho’’ti. Tatiyaṃ.
沙瓦提因缘。坐于一旁的具寿拉塔对世尊如是说——「尊者,所谓『有之引导的灭,有之引导的灭』。尊者,什么是有之引导,什么是有之引导的灭?」「拉塔,于色,凡有欲、有贪、有喜、有渴爱,诸近取、心的住着、执着、随眠——此称为有之引导。彼等的灭即是有之引导的灭。于受……于想……于诸行……于识,凡有欲……诸住着、执着、随眠——此称为有之引导。彼等的灭即是有之引导的灭。」第三经。
4. Pariññeyyasuttaṃ4. 应遍知经

Sāvatthinidānaṃ. Āyasmā rādho yena bhagavā tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā bhagavantaṃ abhivādetvā ekamantaṃ nisīdi. Ekamantaṃ nisinnaṃ kho āyasmantaṃ rādhaṃ bhagavā etadavoca –
沙瓦提因缘。具寿拉塔诣世尊处;诣已,礼敬世尊后,坐于一旁。世尊对坐于一旁的具寿拉塔如是说——
‘‘Pariññeyye ca, rādha, dhamme desessāmi pariññañca pariññātāviṃ puggalañca. Taṃ suṇāhi, sādhukaṃ manasi karohi; bhāsissāmī’’ti. ‘‘Evaṃ, bhante’’ti kho āyasmā rādho bhagavato paccassosi. Bhagavā etadavoca – ‘‘katame ca, rādha, pariññeyyā dhammā? Rūpaṃ kho, rādha, pariññeyyo dhammo, vedanā pariññeyyo dhammo, saññā pariññeyyo dhammo, saṅkhārā pariññeyyo dhammo, viññāṇaṃ pariññeyyo dhammo. Ime vuccanti, rādha, pariññeyyā dhammā. Katamā ca, rādha, pariññā? Yo kho, rādha, rāgakkhayo dosakkhayo mohakkhayo – ayaṃ vuccati, rādha, pariññā. Katamo ca, rādha, pariññātāvī puggalo? ‘Arahā’tissa vacanīyaṃ. Yvāyaṃ āyasmā evaṃnāmo evaṃgotto – ayaṃ vuccati, rādha, pariññātāvī puggalo’’ti. Catutthaṃ.
「拉塔,我将教导应遍知的诸法、遍知、以及已遍知者之人。你要谛听,善加作意,我将说。」「是的,尊者。」具寿拉塔回答世尊。世尊说此:「拉塔,什么是应遍知的诸法?拉塔,色是应遍知的法,受是应遍知的法,想是应遍知的法,行是应遍知的法,识是应遍知的法。拉塔,这些被称为应遍知的诸法。拉塔,什么是遍知?拉塔,凡贪的灭尽、嗔的灭尽、痴的灭尽——拉塔,这被称为遍知。拉塔,什么是已遍知者之人?应说为『阿拉汉』。凡此具寿如是名、如是姓——拉塔,这被称为已遍知者之人。」第四。

Ye hi keci, rādha, samaṇā vā brāhmaṇā vā imesaṃ pañcannaṃ upādānakkhandhānaṃ assādañca ādīnavañca nissaraṇañca yathābhūtaṃ nappajānanti; na me te, rādha, samaṇā vā brāhmaṇā vā samaṇesu vā samaṇasammatā brāhmaṇesu vā brāhmaṇasammatā, na ca pana te āyasmanto sāmaññatthaṃ vā brahmaññatthaṃ vā diṭṭheva dhamme sayaṃ abhiññā sacchikatvā upasampajja viharanti. Ye ca kho keci, rādha, samaṇā vā brāhmaṇā vā imesaṃ pañcannaṃ upādānakkhandhānaṃ assādañca ādīnavañca nissaraṇañca yathābhūtaṃ pajānanti; te kho me, rādha, samaṇā vā brāhmaṇā vā samaṇesu ceva samaṇasammatā brāhmaṇesu ca brāhmaṇasammatā , te ca panāyasmanto sāmaññatthañca brahmaññatthañca diṭṭheva dhamme sayaṃ abhiññā sacchikatvā upasampajja viharantī’’ti. 沙瓦提因缘。世尊对坐于一旁的具寿拉塔说此:「拉塔,有此五取蕴。哪五种?色取蕴、受取蕴、想取蕴、行取蕴、识取蕴。拉塔,凡任何沙门或婆罗门,对此五取蕴的味、患、离不如实了知者;拉塔,对我而言,他们不是沙门中被认可的沙门,或婆罗门中被认可的婆罗门,而且那些具寿也不于现法自己以证智作证沙门义或婆罗门义后具足而住。拉塔,凡任何沙门或婆罗门,对此五取蕴的味、患、离如实了知者;拉塔,对我而言,他们是沙门中被认可的沙门,以及婆罗门中被认可的婆罗门,而且那些具寿于现法自己以证智作证沙门义与婆罗门义后具足而住。」第五。
6. Dutiyasamaṇasuttaṃ6. 第二沙门经

Yato kho, rādha, ariyasāvako imesaṃ pañcannaṃ upādānakkhandhānaṃ samudayañca atthaṅgamañca assādañca ādīnavañca nissaraṇañca yathābhūtaṃ pajānāti – ayaṃ vuccati, rādha, ariyasāvako sotāpanno avinipātadhammo niyato sambodhiparāyano’’ti. Yato kho, rādha, bhikkhu imesaṃ pañcannaṃ upādānakkhandhānaṃ samudayañca atthaṅgamañca assādañca ādīnavañca nissaraṇañca yathābhūtaṃ viditvā anupādāvimutto hoti – ayaṃ vuccati, rādha, arahaṃ khīṇāsavo vusitavā katakaraṇīyo ohitabhāro anuppattasadattho parikkhīṇabhavasaṃyojano sammadaññāvimutto’’ti. 沙瓦提因缘。世尊对坐于一旁的具寿拉塔说此:「拉塔,有此五取蕴。哪五种?色取蕴……(中略)……识取蕴。拉塔,当比库对此五取蕴的集、灭、味、患、离如实了知后,以不取而解脱时——拉塔,这被称为阿拉汉、漏尽者、已行梵行者、应作已作者、已卸重担者、已达自己目的者、已尽有结者、以正智解脱者。」第八。

Evaṃ taṃ rūpaṃ pahīnaṃ bhavissati ucchinnamūlaṃ tālāvatthukataṃ anabhāvaṃkataṃ āyatiṃ anuppādadhammaṃ. Vedanāya yo chando yo rāgo yā nandī yā taṇhā, taṃ pajahatha . Evaṃ sā vedanā pahīnā bhavissati ucchinnamūlā tālāvatthukatā anabhāvaṃkatā āyatiṃ anuppādadhammā. Saññāya… saṅkhāresu yo chando yo rāgo yā nandī yā taṇhā, taṃ pajahatha. 沙瓦提因缘。世尊对坐于一旁的具寿拉塔说此:「拉塔,于色中凡欲、凡贪、凡喜、凡渴爱,你们应舍断它。如此,那色将被舍断,根已被切断,如多罗树头,成为非有,于未来为不生法。于受中凡欲、凡贪、凡喜、凡渴爱,你们应舍断它。如此,那受将被舍断,根已被切断,如多罗树头,成为非有,于未来为不生法。于想……于诸行中凡欲、凡贪、凡喜、凡渴爱,你们应舍断它。如此,那些行将被舍断,根已被切断,如多罗树头,成为非有,于未来为不生法。于识中凡欲、凡贪、凡喜、凡渴爱,你们应舍断它。如此,那识将被舍断……(中略)……不生法。」第九。

Evaṃ passaṃ, rādha, sutavā ariyasāvako rūpasmimpi nibbindati, vedanāyapi nibbindati, saññāyapi nibbindati, saṅkhāresupi nibbindati, viññāṇasmimpi nibbindati. Nibbindaṃ virajjati; virāgā vimuccati. Vimuttasmiṃ vimuttamiti ñāṇaṃ hoti. ‘Khīṇā jāti, vusitaṃ brahmacariyaṃ, kataṃ karaṇīyaṃ, nāparaṃ itthattāyā’ti pajānātī’’ti. Paṭhamaṃ.
沙瓦提因缘。具寿拉度坐于一旁后,对世尊如此说道——「尊者,被称为『魔,魔』。尊者,什么是魔呢?」「拉度,色是魔,受是魔,想是魔,行是魔,识是魔。拉度,如此见者,多闻的圣弟子于色亦厌离,于受亦厌离,于想亦厌离,于行亦厌离,于识亦厌离。厌离者离染;因离染而解脱。于解脱有『已解脱』之智。他了知:『生已尽,梵行已立,应作已作,不再有此存在。』」第一。
