1. Kambakkhandhaka一、甘巴篇集
Pucchā – bhaṇḍanādikārakassa āvuso bhikkhuno tajjanīyakammaṃ kātuṃ bhagavatā kattha anuññātaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
问曰:受持饮食等物之责的尊者比库,所造触犯戒法之行为,世尊于何处许可?许可于何时?许可于何事?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante paṇḍukalohitake bhikkhū ārabbha anuññātaṃ, paṇḍukalohitakā bhante bhikkhū attanā bhaṇḍanakārakā kalahakārakā vivādakārakā bhassakārakā saṅghe adhikaraṇakārakā, yepi caññe bhikkhū bhaṇḍanakārakā kalahakārakā vivādakārakā bhassakārakā saṅghe adhikaraṇakārakā te upasaṅkamitvā evamāhaṃsu ‘‘mā kho tumhe āyasmanto eso ajesi, balavābalavaṃ paṭimantetha, tumhe tena paṇḍitatarā ca byattatarā ca bahussutatarā ca alamattatarā ca, mā cassa bhāyittha, mayampi tumhākaṃ pakkhā bhavissāmā’’ti, tena anuppannāni ceva bhaṇḍanāni uppajjanti, uppannāni ca bhaṇḍanāni bhiyyobhāvāya vepullāya saṃvattanti. Tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
答曰:禅城中,尊者,属于贫穷铁匠之比库起初获准,贫穷铁匠比库,自己担当持饮食等物之责,且为制造争执之因、口舌纷争之人,亦为僧团事端之主,及若干其他比库亦担当此责,是等比库前来集合僧团,对彼等说道:『诸尊,勿欲生彼愚顽之心,应分不强不弱地容忍彼等,你们中间有博学、广闻、微妙通达者,毋须恐惧,我亦将为汝辈辩护。』因此,尚未发生的争执增长,已发生的争执更加频繁,故此事由遂得允许。
Pucchā – tajjanīyakammakatassa āvuso bhikkhuno katisu vattesu sammā vattantassa taṃ kammaṃ paṭippassambhetuṃ bhagavatā kattha anuññātaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
问曰:为触犯戒法之行为者,尊者比库于何处许可其适当行为之调伏?许可于何时?许可于何事?
Vissajjanā – aṭṭhārasasu bhante vattesu sammā vattantassa tajjanīyakammakatassa bhikkhuno taṃ kammaṃ paṭippassambhetuṃ bhagavatā sāvatthiyaṃ anuññātaṃ, teyeva paṇḍukalohitakā bhikkhū saṅghena tajjanīyakammakatā sammā vattitvā saṅghaṃ upasaṅkamitvā yāciṃsu, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
答曰:尊者,在十八种调伏法中世尊许可,依此适当调伏触犯戒法行为之比库,禅城中允准,彼等贫穷铁匠比库,适当调伏触犯戒法行为,前来僧团请求许可,故此事由遂获许可。
Pucchā – bālassa āvuso abyattassa āpattibahulassa anapadānassa gihisaṃsaṭṭhassa ananulomikehi gihisaṃsaggehi niyassakammaṃ kātuṃ kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰:对于愚痴多过失、不服管教之俗家六十岁男子,与其不合规之俗家妻子之间所生之业,应于何处,何时,何事由许可?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante āyasmantaṃ seyyasakaṃ ārabbha paññattaṃ, āyasmā bhante seyyasako bālo ahosi abyatto āpattibahulo anapadāno gihisaṃsaṭṭho vihāsi ananulomikehi gihisaṃsaggehi, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
答曰:禅城中,对世尊尊者沙弥尼得许可。尊者沙弥尼为愚痴、多过失、不服管教之俗家六十岁男子所拘束,与其不合规之俗家妻子同居,故许可于此事由。
Pucchā – niyassakammakatassa āvuso bhikkhuno katisu vattesu sammā vattantassa taṃ kammaṃ paṭippassambhetuṃ bhagavatā anuññātaṃ.
问曰:尊者阿阇世,请问对于一定行为范围内,恰当行为的比库,那业应当如何安住,世尊对此业作何准许?
Vissajjanā – aṭṭhārasasu bhante vattesu sammā vattantassa niyassa kammakatassa bhikkhuno taṃ kammaṃ paṭippassambhetuṃ bhagavatā anuññātaṃ, na upasampādetabbaṃ, na nissayo dātabbo, na sāmaṇero upaṭṭhāpetabbo, na bhikkhunovādakasammuti sāditabbā, sammatenapi bhikkhuniyo na ovaditabbā, evamādīsu bhante aṭṭhārasasu vattesu sammā vattantassa niyassakammakatassa bhikkhuno taṃ kammaṃ paṭippassambhetuṃ bhagavatā anuññātaṃ.
答曰:尊者,在十八种行为范围内,恰当行为的比库,对于所专属的业,世尊准许安心安住这业;但不可受具上座比库越界出戒之授记,不可托付他人,不得由沙玛内拉照料,也不得假借比库教命而接受,既使是比库女众亦不可教命。如此,在十八种行为范围内,恰当行为的专属比库,其业获得世尊的允许安住。
Pucchā – kuladūsakassa āvuso pāpasamācārassa bhikkhuno pabbājanīyakammaṃ kātuṃ bhagavatā kattha anuññātaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
问曰:尊者,恶行恶劣之比库,该在哪处何业,于什么事缘起,世尊准许其出家恶行?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante assajipunabbasuke bhikkhū ārabbha anuññātaṃ, assajipunabbasukā bhante bhikkhū kīṭāgirismiṃ kuladūsakā ahesuṃ pāpasamācārā, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
答曰:在祇树给孤独园,尊者比库始于比库之前出家者,起始于彼比库曾为寄生虫恶行恶劣之业,于此事缘中,世尊准许彼业。
Pucchā – paṭisāraṇīyakammaṃ āvuso pucchāmi, saddhaṃ āvuso pasannaṃ gahapatiṃ dāyakaṃ kārakaṃ saṅghupaṭṭhākaṃ hīnena khuṃsentassa bhikkhuno paṭisāraṇīyakammaṃ kātuṃ bhagavatā kattha anuññātaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
问曰:尊者,欲问回避行为,诚信清净之居士、施主、做事者、僧团维持者,受不当强敌骚扰之比库,世尊在哪处准许其作回避行为?以何事缘,世尊准许?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante āyasmantaṃ sudhammaṃ ārabbha anuññātaṃ, bhagavati bhante sāvatthiyaṃ viharati āyasmā sudhammo macchikāsaṇḍe cittaṃ gahapatiṃ saddhaṃ pasannaṃ dāyakaṃ kārakaṃ saṅghupaṭṭhākaṃ hīnena khuṃsesi hīnena vambhesi, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
答曰:在祇树给孤独园,尊者长老苏达摩之缘起处,世尊准许彼出家,世尊住于祇树观,长老苏达摩厌恶不善施主,恭敬诚念,施主悦纳,所作所为,施主生信心欢喜而厚施也,于此缘起事,世尊准许彼业。
Tenahi bhikkhave saṅgho sudhammassa bhikkhuno paṭisāraṇīyakammaṃ karotu ‘‘citto te gahapati khamāpetabbo’’ti –
因此,比库们,僧团应当为这遵循正法的比库,以退避之事行持,即“你应当安忍住家人”──
Pucchā – paṭisāraṇīyakammakatassa āvuso bhikkhuno anudūtaṃ dātuñca tena anudūtena saddhiṃ gantvā yathākhuṃsitaṃ gahapatiṃ khamāpetuṃ ca bhagavatā kattha anuññātaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
有人问:“尊敬的这位比库,在为遵行退避之事而作之劝诫及以此劝诫同行后,世尊于何处宣说了应当安忍住家人,其内容为何,起首于何事,在何对象之中宣说?”
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante āyasmantaṃyeva sudhammaṃ ārabbha anuññātaṃ, āyasmā bhante sudhammo macchikāsaṇḍaṃ gantvā maṅkubhūto nāsakkhi cittaṃ gahapatiṃ khamāpetuṃ, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
答曰:“尊者,在舍卫城,世尊专对大具寿比库起首宣说正法,该比库遵循正法后,赴鱼市场时遭遇诽谤,为安忍住家人而非动心。此为世尊所宣说之内容。”
Pucchā – paṭisāraṇīyakammakatassa āvuso bhikkhuno katisu vattesu sammā vattantassa taṃ kammaṃ paṭippassambhetuṃ bhagavatā anuññātaṃ.
有人问:“尊敬的比库,在遵循退避之事的比库依法行为于几个处所圆满时,世尊为使之澄明此行为,宣说了多少内容?”
Vissajjanā – aṭṭhārasasu bhante vattesu sammā vattantassa paṭisāraṇīya kammakatassa bhikkhuno taṃ kammaṃ paṭippassambhetuṃ bhagavatā anuññātaṃ.
答曰:“尊敬的,在十八处所行为中,以正当方式行持退避之事的比库,世尊为使之澄明此行为有所宣说。”
Pucchā – āpattiṃ āvuso āpajjitvā taṃ āpattiṃ passituṃ vā paṭikātuṃ vā na icchantassa bhikkhuno āpattiyā adassane vā appaṭikamme vā ukkhepanīyakammaṃ kātuṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
有人问:“尊敬的,若比库犯戒而不欲见或避此犯戒或虽见之而不悔过时,世尊为规定应作出遗弃此犯戒之退避行为,于何处规定,起首于何事,在何对象中规定?”
Vissajjanā – kosambiyaṃ bhante āyasmantaṃ channattheraṃ ārabbha paññattaṃ, āyasmā bhante channo āpattiṃ āpajjitvā na icchi taṃ āpattiṃ passituṃ vā paṭikātuṃ vā, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
释疑说——有关国桑比国比库长老萨遮尊者所犯之过,已定如此:萨遮尊者已犯过失,却不愿见之、亦不欲除之,此事在该事项中已定。
Pucchā – āpattiyā āvuso adassanena vā appaṭikamme vā ukkhepanīya kammakatena bhikkhunā katisu vattesu sammā vattitabbaṃ.
问——尊者,若比库因过失或过失未处理而致涂污行为,应于多少种情形中如法处理?
Vissajjanā – tecattālīsāya bhante vattesu sammā vattitabbaṃ.
释疑说——在三十三种情形中应如法处理。
Pucchā – ukkhepanīyakammakatassa āvuso bhikkhuno sammā vattantassa taṃ kammaṃ paṭippassambhetuṃ bhagavatā kattha anuññātaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
问——尊者,关于涂污行为的比库如法处理该行为,世尊于何处准许观察该行为?始于何事?属何事项中准许?
Vissajjanā – kosambiyaṃ bhante āyasmantaṃyeva channaṃ ārabbha anuññātaṃ, āyasmā bhante channo saṅghena āpattiyā adassane vā appaṭikamme vā ukkhepanīyakammakato sammā vattesi lomaṃpātesi netthāraṃ vattesi saṅghaṃ upasaṅkamitvā tassa kammassa paṭippassaddhiyā yāci, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
释疑说——国桑比国的萨遮尊者所犯涂污,但本尊者不可说。萨遮尊者于僧团前被查出过失或过失未处理而涂污行为,如法应行头发斩除仪式,以净除扰乱,谒僧求该行为消除意念,此事属于不能说的事项。
Pucchā – pāpikaṃ āvuso diṭṭhiṃ gahetvā taṃ diṭṭhiṃ na paṭinissajjantassa pāpikāya diṭṭhiyā appaṭinissagge ukkhepanīyakammaṃ kātuṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问——尊者,执持邪见者不舍邪见,于邪见不舍而作涂污行为,世尊于何处规定涂污行为?始于何事?属于何事项已定?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante ariṭṭhaṃ bhikkhuṃ gaddhabādhipubbaṃ ārabbha paññattaṃ, bhagavati bhante sāvatthiyaṃ viharati ariṭṭhassa nāma bhikkhuno gaddhabādhipubbassa evarūpaṃ pāpakaṃ diṭṭhigataṃ uppannaṃ ahosi ‘‘tathāhaṃ bhagavatā dhammaṃ desitaṃ ājānāmi, yathāyeme antarāyikā dhammā vuttā bhagavatā, te paṭisevato nālaṃ antarāyāyā’’ti, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
释义:在舍卫城,尊者曾对世尊说,有一个名为鸠摩提婆先前便已开始纠缠贪欲的恶劣比库,在世尊所住舍卫城中,因其所执持的邪见而产生恶行,称:‘我明白世尊所说的法,诸如世尊所说的障碍法,若修持便无障碍。’依此事,尊者针对该事项作出说明。
Pucchā – pāpikāya āvuso diṭṭhiyā appaṭinissagge ukkhepanīyakammakatena bhikkhunā katisu vattesu sammā vattitabbaṃ.
问曰:尊者!依邪恶见及非舍弃的执持,这种令人舍弃的行为的比库,应当在多少种情况下修行正法?
Vissajjanā – tecattālīsāya bhante vattesu sammā vattitabbaṃ.
释义:尊者说,应在三十四种情况下修行正法。
Pucchā – kammakkhandhakaṃ pucchissaṃ, sanidāni saniddesaṃ. Samukkaṭṭhapadānaṃ āvuso kati āpattiyo.
问曰:尊者!请问戒律篇中有关行为的章节,现在请具体指出。梵文中所说的“总集六法”中有多少违犯行为?
Vissajjanā – kammakkhandhakaṃ vissajjissaṃ, sanidānaṃ saniddesaṃ. Samukkaṭṭhapadānaṃ bhante ekā āpatti.
释义:尊者答:戒律篇中诸行为章节,如前所言,关于“总集六法”中的违犯行为,尊者说仅一种违犯。
2. Pārivāsikakkhandhaka二、别住者篇集
Pucchā – pārivāsikassa āvuso pakatattānaṃ bhikkhūnaṃ abhivādanādīni sādiyantassa dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰:尊者!关于出家人的恭敬礼仪等,对于世尊制定的规范,如何定义为恶?自何起始及于何事中说明?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante pārivāsike bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, pārivāsikā bhante bhikkhū sādiyiṃsu pakatattānaṃ bhikkhūnaṃ abhivādanādīni, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
【释】讲述─在沙瓦提的共住僧众之中,尊者们将沙瓦提同住的比库们规约起来,对同住比库中所规定诸礼敬仪轨一一施行。所以尊者,此条文中指明了规约之物。
Pucchā – pārivāsikena āvuso bhikkhunā katisu vattesu sammā vattitabbaṃ.
【问】问道─同住的兄弟比库,要在多少条戒律中正确遵行?
Vissajjanā – pārivāsikena bhante bhikkhunā catunavutiyā vattesu sammā vattitabbaṃ.
【释】答曰─同住的兄弟比库,应在四十九条戒律中正确遵行。
Pucchā – pārivāsikaṃ pucchissaṃ, sanidānaṃ saniddesaṃ. Samukkaṭṭhapadānaṃ āvuso kati āpattiyo.
【问】问道─有关同住比库的放逸行为及其详尽说法。集结违犯的行为有多少?
Vissajjanā – pārivāsikaṃ vissajjissaṃ, sanidānaṃ saniddesaṃ. Samukkaṭṭhapadānaṃ bhante ekā āpatti.
【释】答曰─若同住比库放逸,详述其因缘,其违犯的行为只有一条。
3. Samuccayakkhandhaka三、积集篇集
Pucchā – samuccayaṃ pucchissaṃ, sanidānaṃ saniddesaṃ. Samukkaṭṭhapadānaṃ āvuso kati āpattiyo.
【问】问道─问集辞,详述其因缘。集结违犯的行为有多少?
Vissajjanā – samuccayaṃ vissajjissaṃ, sanidānaṃ saniddesaṃ. Samukkaṭṭhapadānaṃ bhante ekā āpatti.
Vissajjanā = 「放弃」者,谓放弃集合体之事,缘起与缘示。根据建立之条文,尊者,此为唯一过失。
4. Samathakkhandhaka四、止诤篇集
Pucchā – asammukhībhūtānaṃ āvuso bhikkhūnaṃ tajjanīyaṃ vā niyassaṃ vā pabbājanīyaṃ vā paṭisāraṇīyaṃ vā ukkhepanīyaṃ vā kammaṃ karontassa dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
Pucchā = 「问题」者,谓对于未亲近者,尊敬的比库朋友所施舍、布施、出家、退隐或驱逐等行为,世尊何处规定为恶业?起于何处,属于何事?何种事由限定?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante chabbaggiye bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, chabbaggiyā bhante bhikkhū asammukhībhūtānaṃ bhikkhūnaṃ kammaṃ akaṃsu tajjanīyampi niyassampi pabbājanīyampi paṭisāraṇīyampi ukkhepanīyampi, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
Vissajjanā = 在沙瓦提城六比库会中,尊者,开始限定此事。六比库会中尊者比库对未亲近之比库所为之业行,无论是应退者、应离者、应还者、应逐者,皆有规定,属于此事,尊者,规定所归之处。
Pucchā – sativepullapattassa āvuso bhikkhuno sativinayaṃ dānaṃ bhagavatā kattha anuññātaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
Pucchā = 问曰:「尊者,关于犯戒者的持戒施舍,世尊于何处允许?起于何处,属于何物?」
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhante mettiyabhūmajake bhikkhū ārabbha anuññātaṃ mettiyabhūmajakā bhante bhikkhū āyasmantaṃ dabbaṃ mallaputtaṃ amūlikāya sīlavipattiyā anuddhaṃsesuṃ, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
Vissajjanā = 在王舍城,尊者,出自慈爱故起者之比库开始被许可。王舍城的比库维护长老答巴马喇子的戒律未被破坏,此事,尊者,属于允许之处。
Pucchā – katipanāvuso ettha dhammikāni sativinayadānāni.
Pucchā = 问曰:「尊者,此中佛法许可持戒施舍者,有多少条目?」
Vissajjanā – pañcimāni bhante dhammikāni sativinayassa dānāni, suddho hoti bhikkhu anāpattiko, anuvadanti ca naṃ, yācati ca, tassa saṅgho sativinayaṃ deti dhammena samaggena, imāni kho bhante pañca dhammikāni sati vinayassa dānāni.
戒除过失者──长老,五种属于戒律清净的善法施舍,能使比库清净,无过失。众人也因此称誉他,请求他,僧团便依法而合议将戒律授与他。这五法正是五种属于戒律的善法施舍。
Pucchā – amūḷhassa āvuso bhikkhuno amūḷhavinayaṃ dātuṃ bhagavatā kattha anuññātaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
问──尊敬的沙弥,世尊于何处授与愚痴者愚痴戒律?从何起始,于何等事上授予?
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhante sambahule bhikkhū ārabbha anuññātaṃ, sambahulā bhante bhikkhū gaggaṃ bhikkhuṃ ummattakena cittavipariyāsakatena ajjhāciṇṇena āpattiyā codesuṃ ‘‘saratā yasmā evarūpiṃ āpattiṃ āpajjitā’’ti, so evaṃ vadeti ‘‘ahaṃ kho āvuso ummattako ahosi cittavipariyāsakato, tena me ummattakena cittavipariyāsakatena bahuṃ assāmaṇakaṃ ajjhāciṇṇaṃ bhāsitaparikkantaṃ, nāhaṃ taṃ sarāmi, mūḷhena me etaṃ kata’’nti. Evampi naṃ vuccamānā codenteva ‘‘saratā yasmā evarūpiṃ āpattiṃ āpajjitā’’ti, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
戒除过失者──王舍城诸多比库中,起初有人受到戒律教诫。诸多比库因他心狂乱、心意颠倒,甚而亲近人等因过失责备他说:“愚痴者因如此过失而犯戒。”此人回答说:“我实为狂乱心意颠倒者,因狂乱心意颠倒,心有粗重惰怠,说话也不善。非我有意犯戒,是愚痴令我如此。”如此言说即遭责难:“汝因如是过失而犯戒。”由此事实,故对该事有戒律教诫。
Pucchā – kati āvuso adhammikāni amūḷhavinayassa dānāni, vibhajitvā kathehi.
问──尊敬者,愚痴戒律下,有多少不正善法施舍?请分门别类说明。
Vissajjanā – tīṇi bhante adhammikāni amūḷhavinayassa dānāni, idha bhante bhikkhu āpattiṃ āpanno hoti, tamenaṃ codeti saṅgho vā sambahulā vā ekapuggalo vā ‘‘saratāyasmā evarūpiṃ āpattiṃ āpajjitā’’ti, so saramānova evaṃ vadeti ‘‘na kho ahaṃ āvuso sarāmi evarūpiṃ āpattiṃ āpajjitā’’ti. Añño saramānova evaṃ vadeti ‘‘sarāmi kho ahaṃ āvuso yathā supinantenā’’ti. Añño anummattakova ummattakālayaṃ karoti ‘‘ahampi kho evaṃ karomi, tumhepi evaṃ karotha, mayhampi etaṃ kappati, tumhākampetaṃ kappatī’’ti. Esaṃ saṅgho amūḷhavinayaṃ deti, adhammikaṃ bhante amūḷhavinayassa dānaṃ. Imāni kho bhante tīṇi adhammikāni amūḷhavinayassa dānāni.
戒除过失者──尊者,愚痴戒律下有三种不正善法施舍。若比库犯戒,僧团、诸多比库或个别比库便教诫说:“戒子,此等过失不可行。”犯戒者却不服,反驳说:“我不服,未犯此等过失。”另一人承认说:“我果然如睡眠中一般犯戒。”又有者心狂乱冒充清醒说:“我亦如是行,尔等亦应如是行,我对尔等亦计较如此。”此为愚痴戒律下不正之施舍。以上即愚痴戒律三种不正善法施舍。
Pucchā – kati āvuso dhammikāni amūḷhavinayassa dānāni, vibhajitvā kathehi.
问──尊敬的教授,有多少正法施舍隶属于愚痴戒律?请分门别类说明。
Vissajjanā – tīṇi bhante dhammikāni amūḷhavinayassa dānāni, idha bhante bhikkhu ummattako hoti cittavipariyāsakato tena ummattakena cittavipariyāsakatena bahuṃ assāmaṇakaṃ ajjhāciṇṇaṃ hoti bhāsitaparikkantaṃ, tamenaṃ codeti saṅgho vā sambahulā vā ekapuggalo vā ‘‘saratāyasmā evarūpiṃ āpattiṃ āpajjitā’’ti, so assaramānova evaṃ vadeti ‘‘na kho ahaṃ āvuso sarāmi evarūpiṃ āpattiṃ āpajjitā’’ti. Aññopi assaramānova evaṃ vadeti ‘‘sarāmi kho ahaṃ āvuso yathā supinantenā’’ti. Aññopi ummattakova ummattakālayaṃ karoti ‘‘ahampi evaṃ karomi, tumhepi evaṃ karotha, mayhampi etaṃ kappati, tumhākampetaṃ kappatī’’ti. Esaṃ bhante tiṇṇaṃ bhikkhūnaṃ saṅgho amūḷhavinayaṃ deti, dhammikaṃ bhante amūḷhavinayassa dānaṃ. Imāni kho bhante tīṇi dhammikāni amūḷhavinayassa dānāni.
解脱处——尊者,此处说的是三种与不痴修戒有关的善法供养。在此,尊者比库心智狂乱、心念倒错,所以狂乱者因心念倒错而生诸多恶念,发生妄言受到指责。此时,僧团众多或个别某人便劝诫他说:“长老,此等行为称为犯戒。”而该狂乱者却愤怒地辩解说:“朋友,我没有犯此等戒。”又有人愤怒辩解说:“我朋友,我的确犯了,如同呼气一样。”又有狂乱者发狂发作说:“我也是这样,诸位你们也如此,我自己会受此苦,诸位你们必遭此苦。”此尊者即为三个比库组成的僧团,因而给予不痴戒的供养。以上三种即为供养不痴戒的善法。
Pucchā – appaṭiññāya āvuso bhikkhūnaṃ tajjanīyādīni kammāni karontassa dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问——朋友,对于无知愚昧的比库行下流等行为,世尊在何处规定其为过失?从何时何处开始规定的?
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhante chabbaggiye bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, chabbaggiyā bhante bhikkhū appaṭiññāya bhikkhūnaṃ kammāni akaṃsu tajjanīyādīni, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
解脱处——尊者,在王舍城第六僧团起始处规定。在第六僧团中,比库们曾因无知愚昧而行下流恶行,即为该处之规定。
Pucchā – kathaṃ āvuso adhammikaṃ hoti paṭiññātakaraṇaṃ.
问——朋友,如何才算是不正当的过失行为?
Vissajjanā – aññathā bhante āpattiṃ āpajjantassa aññathā paṭijānantassa yathā so paṭijānāti, tathā saṅgho kāreti, evaṃ kho bhante adhammikaṃ hoti paṭiññātakaraṇaṃ.
解脱处——尊者,对于犯过失者与承认过失者实行不同的处理方式,根据其承认与否,僧团做出相应处分。因此,不正当的过失行为即由此产生。
Pucchā – kathaṃ āvuso dhammikaṃ hoti paṭiññātakaraṇaṃ.
问——朋友,如何才算是正当的过失行为?
Vissajjanā – yaṃ bhante āpattiṃ āpajjantassa tameva paṭijānantassa teneva saṅgho kāreti, evaṃ kho bhante dhammikaṃ paṭiññātakaraṇaṃ.
『弃置』者,尊者,当事人犯过失者,对于自己所犯之过失,自己承认者,由彼而令僧团施行处分,如是尊者,此为合法之处分。
Pucchā – yebhuyyasikāya āvuso adhikaraṇaṃ vūpasametuṃ bhagavatā kattha anuññātaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
问:诸尊者,世尊在何处允许调伏纠纷?于何事上准许?
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhante sambahule bhikkhū ārabbha anuññātaṃ, sambahulā bhante bhikkhū bhaṇḍanajātā kalahajātā vivādāpannā aññamaññaṃ mukhasattīhi vitudantā vihariṃsu, na sakkonti taṃ adhikaraṇaṃ vūpasametuṃ, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
答:尊者,在王舍城,多数比库起头调伏纠纷。多数比库因器物争夺起纷争,互相以口舌挖苦,不能调伏此纠纷,于此事项准许调伏。
Pucchā – kathaṃ āvuso adhikaraṇaṃ yebhuyyasikāya vūpasametabbaṃ.
问:如何为调伏纠纷?诸尊者当作何调伏?
Vissajjanā – pañcahi bhante aṅgehi samannāgato bhikkhu salākaggāhāpako sammannitabbo, tena bhante salākaggāhāpakena salākā gāhātabbā yathā bahutarā bhikkhū dhammavādino vadanti tathā taṃ adhikaraṇaṃ vūpasametabbaṃ, evaṃ kho bhante yebhuyyasikāya adhikaraṇaṃ vūpasametabbaṃ.
答:尊者,比库当具五种条件,称为执杖者。执杖之比库应当执杖,如多数比库弘法如是宣说故,彼当调伏纠纷。如此尊者,对于纠纷,应当如此调伏。
Pucchā – kati āvuso adhammikā salākaggāhā.
问:诸尊者,有多少种合法之执杖?
Vissajjanā – dasa bhante adhammikā salākaggāhā, oramattakañca adhikaraṇaṃ hoti, na ca gatigataṃ hoti, na ca saritasāritaṃ hoti, jānāti ‘adhammavādī bahutarā’ti, appeva nāma adhammavādī bahutarā assūti, jānāti ‘saṅgho bhijjissatī’ti, appeva nāma saṅgho bhijjeyyāti, adhammena gaṇhanti, vaggā gaṇhanti, na ca yathādiṭṭhiyā gaṇhanti, ime kho bhante dasa adhammikā kalākaggāhā.
答曰:十人,尊者,持有不正法戒杖者,其中有以坡势为事端者,并非来去不定,亦非往返往还者,他知“邪法言论者多”说,实则邪法言论者多,知“僧团必然败坏”,实则僧团应当败坏,因邪法而聚集,按派别分组,非依正见集结,此乃尊者心中所识十种不正法戒杖者。
Pucchā – kati āvuso dhammikā salākaggāhā.
问曰:“持有正法戒杖者,有几人?”
Vissajjanā – dasa bhante dhammikā salākaggāhā vuttavipariyāyena.
答曰:“尊者,持有正法戒杖者有十人,但此说有误。”
Pucchā – pāpussannassa āvuso bhikkhussa tassa pāpiyasikā kammaṃ kātuṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰:“尊者,对于造恶行的比库,世尊曾于何地何因开始戒制?”
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhante upavāḷaṃ bhikkhuṃ ārabbha paññattaṃ, upavāḷo bhante bhikkhu saṅghamajjhe āpattiyā anuyuñjiyamāno avajānitvā paṭijānāti, paṭijānitvā avajānāti, aññenaññaṃ paṭicarati, sampajānamusā bhāsati, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
答曰:“在王舍城,尊者,始制戒律针对失明比库,所谓失明比库,在僧团中犯戒者虽知戒律而轻视,既知戒律而又轻视,彼此背弃,互相交往说谎,此恶行之境,戒律由是而立。”
Pucchā – kati āvuso dhammikāni tassapāpiyasikā kammassa karaṇāni.
问曰:“尊者,那些是造恶恶行的比库所作的多少种业行?”
Vissajjanā – pañcimāni bhante dhammikāni tassapāpiyasikā kammassa karaṇāni. Asuci ca hoti, alajjī ca, sānuvādo ca, tassa saṅgho tassapāpiyasikā kammaṃ karoti dhammena samaggena, imāni kho bhante pañca dhammikāni tassa pāpiyasikā kammassa karaṇāni.
调伏:五种法,长老,是导致恶业的行为。此五法不净、无耻、和顺,由此僧团以正法共修之,故此五法乃其恶业的行为根源。
Pucchā – tassa pāpiyasikākammakatena āvuso bhikkhunā katisu vattesu sammā vattitabbaṃ.
问:由于此恶业,尊者长老当依多少法度正当行事?
Vissajjanā – tassa pāpiyasikākammakatena bhante bhikkhunā aṭṭhārasasu vattesu sammā vattitabbaṃ. Na upasampādetabbaṃ, na nissayo dātabbo, na sāmaṇero upaṭṭhāpetabbo, evamādīsu bhante aṭṭhārasasu vattesu sammā vattitabbaṃ.
答:因此恶业,尊者长老应依十八法度正行。不可行达上戒,不可布施食物,不得受持沙玛内,不得令得戒沙玛内,及其他如是十八法度正行。
Pucchā – kati āvuso adhikaraṇāni samathehi vūpasametabbāni.
问:长老,应调伏多少案由?
Vissajjanā – cattārimāni bhante adhikaraṇāni samathehi vūpasametabbāni, vivādādhikaraṇaṃ anuvādādhikaraṇaṃ āpattādhikaraṇaṃ kiccādhikaraṇaṃ, imāni bhante cattāri adhikaraṇāni samathehi vūpasametabbāni.
答:长老,应调伏四案:争论案、调解案、戒失案、任务案。唯此四案应以调伏法达成平息。
Pucchā – kiṃ āvuso vivādādhikaraṇassa mūlaṃ.
问:争论案根本为何?
Vissajjanā – cha bhante vivādamūlāni vivādādhikaraṇassa mūlaṃ, tīṇipi akusalamūlāni vivādādhikaraṇassa mūlaṃ, tīṇipi kusalamūlāni vivādādhikaraṇassa mūlaṃ, idaṃ bhante vivādādhikaraṇassa mūlaṃ.
辨悟者说:尊者,纷争的根本有六种,它们是纷争事由的根本;不善的根本有三种,也是不善事由的根本;善的根本有三种,亦为善事由的根本。这就是纷争事由的根本。
Pucchā – kiṃ panāvuso anuvādādhikaraṇassa mūlaṃ.
提问者问:大德,归纳来说,诤论事由的根本是什么?
Vissajjanā – cha bhante anuvādamūlāni anuvādādhikaraṇassa mūlaṃ, tīṇipi akusalamūlāni anuvādādhikaraṇassa mūlaṃ, tīṇipi kusalamūlāni anuvādādhikaraṇassa mūlaṃ, kāyopi anuvādādhikaraṇassa mūlaṃ, vācāpi anuvādādhikaraṇassa mūlaṃ, idaṃ kho bhante anuvādādhikaraṇassa mūlaṃ.
辨悟者答:尊者,诤论的根本有六种,亦即诤论事由的根本;不善的根本有三种,亦是诤论事由的根本;善的根本有三种,也是诤论事由的根本;身体也是诤论事由的根本,言语也是诤论事由的根本。这些就是诤论事由的根本。

提问者问:大德,过失事由的根本是什么?
Vissajjanā – cha bhante āpattisamuṭṭhānā āpattādhikaraṇassa mūlaṃ, atti bhante āpatti kāyato samuṭṭhāti na vācato na cittato, atthi bhante āpatti vācato samuṭṭhāti na kāyato na cittato, atthi bhante āpatti kāyato ca vācato ca samuṭṭhāti na cittato, atthi bhante āpatti kāyato ca cittato ca samuṭṭhāti na vācato, atthi bhante āpatti vācato ca cittato ca samuṭṭhāti na kāyato, atthi bhante āpatti kāyato ca vācato ca cittato ca samuṭṭhāti, imāni bhante cha āpatti samuṭṭhānāni āpattādhikaraṇassa mūlaṃ.
辨悟者答:尊者,过失的产生有六种起因,即过失事由的根本。过失有:身体为缘起者,并非言语和心意所起;言语为缘起者,并非法身和心意所起;身体与言语俱起者,并非心意;身体与心意俱起者,并非言语;言语与心意俱起者,并非身体;身体、言语与心意皆起者。这六种过失的起因,就是过失事由的根本。
Pucchā – kiṃ panāvuso kiccādhikaraṇassa mūlaṃ.
提问者问:大德,行为事由的根本是什么?
Vissajjanā – kiccādhikaraṇassa bhante ekaṃ mūlaṃ saṅgho.
放逸——在戒律事务中,尊者放逸是根本的一法,是众僧团的一大根基。
Pucchā – samathaṃ āvuso pucchissaṃ, sanidānaṃ saniddesaṃ. Samukkaṭṭhapadānaṃ āvuso kati āpattiyo.
问:「具寿,我欲问止诤,请附因缘、附解说而答。具寿,最胜学处有几种罪?」
Vissajjanā – samathaṃ bhante vissajjissaṃ, sanidānaṃ saniddesaṃ. Samukkaṭṭhapadānaṃ bhante dve āpattiyo.
答曰——止息戒(samatha),尊者我将讲止息戒的因缘与明文。身体破坏行为尊者犯两种恶律。
5. Khuddakavatthukkhandhaka五、小事篇集
Pucchā – nahāyantena āvuso bhikkhunā rukkhe vā thambhe vā kuṭṭe vā kāyaṃ ugghaṃsentassa dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰——尊者,请问若有比库浴后用树干、柱子、木块等砸破自身身体,这样的恶行由世尊何处有所限制?从何事起、在何物上有所限制?
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhante chabbaggiye bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, chabbaggiyā bhante bhikkhū nahāyamānā rukkhepi thambhepi kuṭṭepi kāyaṃ ugghaṃsesuṃ, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
答曰——在王舍城,六部众比库开始有此限制。六部众比库浴时用树、柱、木块砸破身体,这限制就存在于这些事情中。
Pucchā – gandhabbahatthakena vā āvuso kuruvindakasuttiyā vā mallakena vā nahāyantassa dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰——尊者,若用香薰手、制香锡杖或水瓮沐浴时,也有此种恶行,世尊是从何处有所限制?是从何事起、在何物上有所限制?
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhbhante chabbaggiyeva bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, chabbaggiyā bhante bhikkhū gandhabbahatthakenapi kuruvindakasuttiyāpi mallakenapi nahāyiṃsu, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
于王舍城,六种比库开始住持规约中,中六种比库以香鼻器和叶柄扫帚、修边簸箕等物洗浴,故于此处章规定。
Pucchā – pāṇinā āvuso parikammaṃ kātuṃ bhagavatā kattha anuññātaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
问曰:贤友,以手行事时,世尊于何处赐许?何种章中赐许?
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhante sambahule bhikkhū ārabbha anuññātaṃ, sambahulā bhante bhikkhū piṭṭhiparikammaṃ kātuṃ kukkuccāyiṃsu, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
于王舍城,多数比库开始在未赐许处行事,多数比库因作伤心事而忧愁,故于此处章未赐许。
Pucchā – vallikaṃ vā āvuso pāmaṅgaṃ vā kaṇṭhasuttakaṃ vā kaṭisuttakaṃ vā ovaṭṭikaṃ vā kāyuraṃ vā hatthābharaṇaṃ vā aṅgulimuddikaṃ vā dhārentassa dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰:贤友,用藤条或大棒,颈环,腰带,皮带,肩饰,臂镯等用物,世尊于何处禁止?何种章中禁止?
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhante chabbaggiye bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, chabbaggiyā bhante bhikkhū vallikādīni dhāresuṃ, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
于王舍城,中六比库开始规约,六种比库中使用藤条等物,故于此处章规定。
Pucchā – dīghe āvuso kese dhārentassa dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰:贤友,长发者使用这些物,世尊于何处规约?何种章中规约?
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhante chabbaggiye bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, chabbaggiyā bhante bhikkhū dīghe kese dhāresuṃ, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
释曰:在王舍城,尊者,六分敬比库们开始设立规制。尊者,比库们留长发即留有六分敬的比库,六分敬比库们在其头发之上留长,故于此事中设立规制。
Pucchā – kocchenavā āvuso phaṇakenavā hatthaphaṇakenavā kese osaṇṭhentassa dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰:尊者,何者为须垢有情者?是长须之人、象牙须之人、象牙须之人在头发上涂油者,尊者对其作恶行为为何处处有所设立?由何开始?于何事中设立规制?
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhante chabbaggiyeva bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, chabbaggiyā bhante bhikkhū kocchādīhi kese osaṇṭhesuṃ, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
释曰:在王舍城,尊者,六分敬比库们开始设立规制。尊者,六分敬比库们以撅刀等物在头发上涂油,故于此事中设立规制。
Pucchā – ādāse vā āvuso udakapatte vā mukhanimittaṃ olokentassa dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰:尊者,承载器皿或水盆的口缘之相,观察者作恶,世尊对此何处设立规制?由何开始?于何事中设立规制?
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhante chabbaggiyeva bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, chabbaggiyā bhante bhikkhū ādāsepi udakapattepi mukhanimittaṃ olokesuṃ, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
释曰:在王舍城,尊者,六分敬比库们开始设立规制。尊者,六分敬比库们观察承载器皿及水盆的口缘之相,故于此事中设立规制。
Pucchā – ābādhapaccayā panāvuso ādāse vā udakapatte vā mukhanimittaṃ oloketuṃ bhagavatā kattha anuññātaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
问曰:因病之故,尊者,观察承载器皿及水盆口缘之相,被世尊容许之处为何?由何开始?于何事中被容许?
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhante aññataraṃ bhikkhuṃ ārabbha anuññātaṃ, bhagavati bhante rājagahe viharati aññatarassa bhikkhuno mukhe vaṇo ahosi, so bhikkhū etadavoca ‘‘kīdiso me āvuso vaṇo’’ti, bhikkhū evamāhaṃsu ‘‘ediso te āvuso vaṇo’’ti, so na saddahati, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
讲授:在王舍城,尊者,有一比库开始了未被允许的行为,因为世尊住于王舍城,有一比库口中有诵念,其他比库便说:「你的诵念是何种?」比库们如此问:「你的诵念如何?」该比库不信服,于是这个情形在此事中未被允许。
Pucchā – mukhālepanādīni āvuso karontassa dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
询问:对于作口部涂抹等行为的比库,世尊所规定的恶行为何处有,起于何事中被规定?

Pucchā – naccaṃ vā āvuso gītaṃ vā vāditaṃ vā dassanāya gacchantassa dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
询问:若有人跳舞、歌唱、演奏乐器以供观赏,这些恶行为何处被规定,起于何事中被规定?
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhante chabbaggiye bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, chabbaggiyā bhante naccampi gītampi vāditampi dassanāya gacchiṃsu, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
讲授:在王舍城,六众比库开始了被禁止的行为,六众比库跳舞、歌唱、演奏乐器为观赏而行,这也在此事中被禁止。
Pucchā – kathaṃ āvuso naccādīni passantassa āpatti hoti, kathaṃ pana anāpatti.
询问:放逸于跳舞等行为时,如何有过失?若不放逸又如何无过失?
Vissajjanā – naccaṃ vā bhante gītaṃ vā vāditaṃ vā dassanāya gacchati āpatti dukkaṭassa, yattha ṭhito passati vā suṇāti vā āpatti dukkaṭassa , dassanūpacāraṃ vijahitvā punappunaṃ passati āpatti dukkaṭassa, ārāme ṭhitassa passato anāpatti, vihārato pana vihāraṃ passissāmīti gacchato āpattiyeva, yattha ṭhito passati vā suṇāti vā āpatti dukkaṭassa, āsanasālāya nisinno passati anāpatti, passissāmīti vuṭṭhahitvā gacchati āpatti dukkaṭassa, yattha ṭhito passati vā suṇāti vā āpatti dukkaṭassa, patipathaṃ gacchanto passati anāpatti, gīvaṃ parivattetvā passato pana āpatti bhante.
「Vissajjanā」者,即跳舞、唱歌或演奏乐器,作为观礼手段时,若立见或听则构成过失恶行;若忽视观礼形式反复观之亦构成过失恶行。若于寺庙中观看则无过失。行走观礼即便立见或听也构成过失,但坐于礼堂观则无过失。若起立行走,则立见或听即构成过失。行走途中观则无过失,但转动舌头观看则构成过失。
Pucchā – āyatakena āvuso gītassarena dhammaṃ gāyantassa dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
「Pucchā」问:『尊者,持长杖者以歌唱教法所犯恶行,佛陀于何处拘禁?从何处起、针对何事拘禁?』
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhante chabbaggiye bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, chabbaggiyā bhante bhikkhū āyatakena gītassarena dhammaṃ gāyiṃsu, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
「Vissajjanā」答:『尊者,在王舍城六部比库中起拘禁,因六部比库持长杖以歌唱教法,针对此事拘禁。』
Pucchā – dārupattaṃ āvuso dhārentassa dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
「Pucchā」问:『尊者,持木棒者所犯恶行,佛陀于何处拘禁?从何处起、针对何事拘禁?』
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhante āyasmantaṃ piṇḍolabhāradvājaṃ ārabbha paññattaṃ, āyasmā bhante piṇḍolabhāradvājo chavassa dārupattassa kāraṇā gihīnaṃ uttarimanussadhammaṃ iddhipāṭihāriyaṃ dasseti, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
「Vissajjanā」答:『尊者,在王舍城拘禁尊者宾多纳帕拉德瓦迦,因尊者宾多纳举木棒,示现非人道者于女人的不善事,表现神通力,因此拘禁。』
Na ca bhikkhave dārupatto dhāretabbo, yo dhāreyya āpatti dukkaṭassa –
尔时,佛告诸比库:『持木棒者不当持之,若持则犯恶。』
Pucchā – bhagavatā āvuso uccāvace patte paṭikkhipitvā ayo patto bhūmipattoti imeyeva dve pattā kattha anuññātā, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ anuññātā.
问曰:尊者,有人弃置布施唾纸,非因地得布者,谓此乃地得布,此两种布分别为何?起始于何?于何事中分别?
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhante chabbaggiye bhikkhū ārabbha anuññātā, chabbaggiyā bhante bhikkhū uccāvace patte dhāresuṃ sovaṇṇamayā rūpiyamayā, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ anuññātā.
答曰:尊者,在王舍城,六百比库初起分别,六百比库持于布施唾纸上有金银所成,此事中分别。
Pucchā – sodakaṃ āvuso pattaṃ paṭisāmentassa ca otāpentassaca uṇhe pattaṃ nidahantassa ca dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰:尊者,何处分别托钵人的净布、旧破布与点燃烧毁布的恶处?起始于何?于何事中分别?
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhante sambahule bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, sambahulā bhante bhikkhū sodakaṃ pattaṃ paṭisāmesuṃ, otāpesuṃ, uṇhe pattaṃ nidahiṃsu, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
答曰:尊者,在王舍城,众多比库起该分别,众多比库以净布、旧破布、点燃烧毁布为分别,此事中分别。
Pucchā – chavasīsapattaṃ āvuso dhārentassa ca sabbapaṃsukūlikassa ca dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰:尊者,持用屎黄布及全部布满尘土的恶处,何处分别?起始于何?于何事中分别?
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhante aññataraṃ bhikkhuṃ ārabbha paññattaṃ, aññataro bhante bhikkhu sabbapaṃsukūliko ahosi, so chavasīsassa pattaṃ dhāresi, aññatarā itthī passitvā bhītā vissaramakāsi ‘‘abhuṃ me pisāco vatāya’’nti, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
答曰:尊者,在王舍城,某一比库起该分别,某比库全身布满尘土,披黄布施,某一女性见后恐惧且远离,谓“非人鬼怪所为”,此事中分别。
Pucchā – calakāni vā āvuso aṭṭhikāni vā ucchiṭṭhodakaṃ vā pattena nīharantassa dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰:朋友,驾车者或搬运者,或用车斗运送被扔弃的污水者,于此行为中,世尊称之为何难行?是从何起始?于何事上被确定为难行?
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhante sambahule bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, sambahulā bhante bhikkhū calakānipi aṭṭhikānipi ucchiṭṭho dakampi pattena nīhariṃsu, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
答曰:在王舍城,尊者,有许多比库开始了此行为,许多比库运送车、木材、污水和车斗,皆依止此行为,此为于何事上被确定。
Pucchā – upāhanatthavikā āvuso bhagavatā kattha anuññātā, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ anuññātā.
问曰:朋友,为了寒衣业,世尊称之为何不可许可?是从何起始?于何事上被许可?
Vissajjanā – antarā ca bhante rājagahaṃ antarā ca vesāliṃ aññataraṃ bhikkhuṃ ārabbha anuññātā, aññataro bhante bhikkhu upāhanāyo kāyabandhanena bandhitvā gāmaṃ piṇḍāya pāvisi, aññataro upāsako taṃ bhikkhuṃ abhivādento upāhanāyo sīsena ghaṭṭeti, so bhikkhu maṅku ahosi, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ anuññātā.
答曰:在王舍城与王舍城之外的韦萨离,有一比库开始不可许可行为,有一比库因寒衣被绑缚于身而入乡乞食,有一近事男对该比库顶礼并用头顶以寒衣覆之,该比库因此臂膀受伤,此为于何事上被许可。
Pucchā – addhānamaggappaṭipannena āvuso parissāvanaṃ yāciyamānena na dadantassa ca appaṭissāvanakena addhānaṃ paṭipajjantassa ca dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰:朋友,凭借所依止的道,向他人乞求饮水而不给饮水,且凭借所依止道,因不给饮水者而施行不接纳者,此种不与之难行行为,世尊称之为何?是从何起始?于何事上被确定?
Vissajjanā – antarā ca bhante rājagahaṃ antarā ca vesāliṃ aññataraṃ bhikkhuṃ ārabbha paññattaṃ, aññataro bhante bhikkhu parissāvanaṃ yāciyamāno na adāsi, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
答曰:在王舍城与韦萨离,有一比库开始此行为,有一比库向人乞饮时未予给予,此为于何事上被确定。
Pucchā – pupphābhikiṇṇe āvuso sayane sayantassa dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰:『与花供养者,善知识!世尊于何处界定严格之罪?从何开始?于何种事由中界定严格?』
Vissajjanā – vesāliyaṃ bhante chabbaggiye bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, chabbaggiyā bhante bhikkhū pupphābhikiṇṇesu sayanesu sayiṃsu, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
答曰:『尊者!舍卫城六师派诸比库,始受严格;六师派比库,卧于以花供养之床榻;于此等事由中受严格界定。』
Pucchā – ekabhājane vā āvuso bhuñjantānaṃ ekathālake vā pivantānaṃ ekattharaṇapāvuraṇānaṃ vā tuvaṭṭānaṃ dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰:『一食一饮者,或单盛杯者,或盛单盘者,或背负食器者,善知识!世尊于何处界定严格之罪?从何开始?于何种事由中界定严格?』
Vissajjanā – vesāliyaṃ bhante chabbaggiyeva bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, chabbaggiyā bhante bhikkhū ekabhājanepi bhuñjiṃsu, ekathālakepi piviṃsu, ekamañcakepi tuvaṭṭesuṃ, ekattharaṇāpi tuvaṭṭesuṃ, ekapāvuraṇāpi tuvaṭṭesuṃ, ekattharaṇapāvuraṇāpi, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
答曰:『舍卫城,专于六师派比库始受严格;六师派比库一食,亦一饮,亦背负一食器,亦背负一盘,亦背负一盛食器,亦背负一盘盛食器;于此诸事由中受严格界定。』
Pucchā – cāmaribījaniṃ āvuso paṭikkhipitvā tisso bījaniyo bhagavatā kattha anuññātā, kismiñca vatthusmiṃ anuññātā.
问曰:『弃扬香扇者,善知识!三种扇子中,世尊于何处不许?于何种事由中不许?』
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante anuññātā, sāvatthiyaṃ bhante bhagavati viharati saṅghassa cāmaribījanī uppannā ahosi, bhagavato etamatthaṃ ārocesuṃ, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ anuññātā.
答曰:『释迦牟尼佛常住舍卫城,僧团兴起扬香扇事,世尊言明此意。不许于此等事由中。』
Na bhikkhave cāmaribījanī dhāretabbā, yo dhāreyya, āpatti dukkaṭassa. Anujānāmi bhikkhave tisso bījaniyo vākamayaṃ usīramayaṃ morapiñchā mayaṃ.
比库们,不应当持有掸子毒蛇,若有人持有,是恶法过失。我许可比库们使用三种毒蛇,即有言语之毒、尿液之毒、酢浆草之毒。
Pucchā – dīghe āvuso nakhe dhārentassa dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问:世尊,持长指甲者之过失,于何处受制,起于何事,何事中受制?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante aññataraṃ bhikkhuṃ ārabbha paññattaṃ, aññataro bhante bhikkhu dīghe nakhe dhāresi, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
答:世尊,舍卫城中,某比库首先受制,另一比库持长指甲,于彼事处受制。
Pucchā – kattarikāya āvuso kese chedāpentassa dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问:世尊,持刀割发者之过失,于何处受制,起于何事,何事中受制?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante chabbaggiye bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, chabbaggiyā bhante bhikkhū kattarikāya kese chindiṃsu, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
答:世尊,舍卫城中,六姓比库们首先受制,六姓比库们用刀割发,于彼事处受制。
Pucchā – dīghe āvuso nāsikālome dhārentassa dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问:世尊,持长鼻毛者之过失,于何处受制,起于何事,何事中受制?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante sambahule bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, sambahulā bhante bhikkhū dīghāni nāsikālomāni dhāresuṃ, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
Vissajjanā:在沙瓦提,尊者,比库众中开始已经约定,尊者,比库众多人数戴起了长鼻梁的眼镜,这个物件上已有约定。
Pucchā – uccāvacā āvuso kaṇṇamalaharaṇiyo paṭikkhipitvā dasa kaṇṇamalaharaṇiyo bhagavatā kattha anuññātā, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ anuññātā.
Pucchā问:朋友,高额的眼镜(鼻梁处的眼镜)被弃置不用后,十副眼镜被世尊允许在哪儿?从何时起准许?准许于何物上?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante chabbaggiye bhikkhū ārabbha anuññātā, chabbaggiyā bhante bhikkhū uccāvacā kaṇṇamalaharaṇiyo dhāresuṃ sovaṇṇamayaṃ rūpiyamayaṃ, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ anuññātā.
Vissajjanā答:在沙瓦提,尊者,比库众中开始允许戴六边形的眼镜,比库众开始戴起了六边形金色银色的高额眼镜,这个物件上准许如是。
Pucchā – saṅghāṭipallatthikāya nisīdantassa āvuso dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
Pucchā问:朋友,穿袈裟而坐时所用的坐垫,其不善如何由世尊规定?从何时起准许?准许于何物上?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante chabbaggiye bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, chabbaggiyā bhante bhikkhū saṅghāṭipallatthikāya nisīdiṃsu, saṅghāṭiyā pattā lujjiṃsu, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
Vissajjanā答:在沙瓦提,尊者,比库众中开始已经约定,六边形的比库众坐于用于袈裟的坐垫上,所用的坐垫变薄了,这个物件上已有约定。
Pucchā – akāyabandhanena āvuso gāmaṃ pavisantassa dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
Pucchā问:朋友,因无身体束缚者进入村落时,不善如何由世尊规定?从何时起准许?准许于何物上?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante aññataraṃ bhikkhuṃ ārabbha paññattaṃ, aññataro bhante bhikkhu akāyabandhano gāmaṃ piṇḍāya pāvisi, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
维萨加那者,尊者,在舍卫城时,某一比库开始确定某事,另有一比库虽未结迹,亦进入村庄托钵,故此处有所确定。
Pucchā – gihinivatthaṃ āvuso nivāsentassa ca, gihipārutaṃ pārupantassa ca, saṃvelliyaṃ nivāsentassa ca dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰:尊者,居家衣服者、穿居家衣者、随缘饮食而住者,恶法由世尊于何处被确定?从何处开始?于何事中被确定?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante chabbaggiye bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, chabbaggiyā bhante bhikkhū gihinivatthaṃ nivāsiṃsu, gihipārutampi pārupiṃsu, saṃvelliyampi nivāsiṃsu, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
维萨加那答:尊者,舍卫城时,六部比库开始有所确定,六部比库居穿居家衣服者,亦穿居家外衣者,随缘饮食者,皆于此事中有所确定。
Pucchā – ubhato kājaṃ āvuso dhārentassa dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰:尊者,双重业事承持者,恶法由世尊于何处被确定?从何处开始?于何事中被确定?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante chabbaggiye bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, chabbaggiyā bhante bhikkhū ubhato kājaṃ dhāresuṃ, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
维萨加那答:尊者,舍卫城时,六部比库开始有所确定,六部比库皆持双重业事,于此事中有所确定。
Pucchā – lokāyataṃ āvuso pariyāpuṇantassa ca vācentassa ca dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰:尊者,行世间法者、满口花言巧语者,恶法由世尊于何处被确定?从何处开始?于何事中被确定?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante chabbaggiye bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, chabbaggiyā bhante bhikkhū lokāyataṃ pariyāpuṇiṃsupi vācesumpi, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
「消散」者,尊者,于舍卫城六众比库开始所确定者。六众比库无论是对于俗世的遍行,或是言语上的遍行,皆在其中此事确定。
Pucchā – tiracchānavijjaṃ āvuso pariyāpuṇantassa ca vācentassa ca dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰:对于邪淫之业,善友,对于遍行与言语上的恶业,世尊于何处确定?何处开始?于何事上确定?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante chabbaggiye bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, chabbaggiyā bhante bhikkhū tiracchānavijjaṃ pariyāpuṇiṃsupi vācesumpi, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
答曰:「消散」者,尊者,于舍卫城六众比库开始所确定者。六众比库对于邪淫之业无论是遍行或言语上的遍行,俱在其中此事确定。
Pucchā – khipite āvuso ‘‘jīvā’’tivadantassa dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰:速疾者,善友,『生命』等有关的恶业,世尊于何处确定?何处开始?于何事上确定?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante sambahule bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, bhagavā bhante mahatiyā parisāya parivuto dhammaṃ desento khipi, bhikkhū ‘‘jīvatu bhante bhagavā, jīvatu sugatoti’’ uccāsaddaṃ mahāsaddaṃ akaṃsu, tena saddena dhammakathā antarā ahosi, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
答曰:「消散」者,尊者,于舍卫城多众比库开始所确定者。世尊周围有广大僧众讲法时,速疾者比库作『愿世尊、净觉者长寿,愿世尊长寿』等大声呼喊。因其声音,法义才得发生语间,俱在此事确定。
Pucchā – ārāme āvuso passāvavaccānaṃ tahaṃ tahaṃ karaṇaṃ paṭikkhipitvā ekamantaṃ kātuṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰:在林中,善友,对于随感随缘的说话行为各自停止,独自一处静坐者,世尊于何处确定?何处开始?于何事上确定?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante sambahule bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, sambahulā bhante bhikkhū ārāme tahaṃ tahaṃ passāvaṃ akaṃsu, tahaṃ tahaṃ vaccaṃ akaṃsu, ārāmo dussi, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
辩才问:在舍卫城,比库们通常在多处地方开始修建寄宿处,比库们在各个寺院内四处巡视,往来各处说话,寺院因而杂乱无序,因此在这一处事上,制定了规章。
Khuddakavatthukkhandhaka小事犍度
Pucchā – khuddakavatthuṃ pucchissaṃ, sanidānaṃ saniddesaṃ. Samukkaṭṭhapadānaṃ āvuso kati āpattiyo.
辩才问:请宣说简要规章,详述其缘起。聚集条目有多少过失?
Vissajjanā – khuddakaṃ vissajjissaṃ, sanidānaṃ saniddesaṃ. Samukkaṭṭhapadānaṃ bhante tisso āpattiyo.
辩才答:简要规章将予废止,请详细说明其缘起。聚集条目共有三种过失。
6. Senāsanakkhandhaka6. 住所篇集
Pucchā – pañca āvuso leṇāni bhagavatā kattha anuññātāni, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ anuññātāni.
辩才问:夫子,五处寺院何处为世尊所不许可?起于何事中不许可?
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhante sambahule bhikkhū ārabbha anuññātāni, sambahulā bhante bhikkhū bhagavantaṃ upasaṅkamitvā etadavocuṃ ‘‘rājagahako bhante seṭṭhī vihāre kārāpetukāmo, kathaṃ nu kho bhante paṭipajjitabba’’nti, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ anuññātāni.
辩才答:在王舍城,比库们一般开始有不许可的行为。比库们前往世尊处恭敬陈述说:王舍城的居士愿造上等寺院,究竟应当如何修建?由此事中产生不许可。
Pucchā – kathaṃ āvuso vihārā paṭhamaṃ uppannā, kathañca te patiṭṭhāpi tā.
辩才问:诸居士的寺院初次兴起,如何建造及巩固?
Vissajjanā – ekāheneva bhante rājagahakena seṭṭhinā chaṭṭhivihārā patiṭṭhāpitā, te idha bhante saṭṭhivihārā buddhappamukhassa āgatānāgatassa cātuddisassa saṅghassa patiṭṭhāpitā.
关于设立:在王舍城,一位长老出家商人单独创立了六十座比库止宿处,于是这里成立了六十座止宿处,供佛陀前来的四方僧团居住安止。
Pucchā – vihāre āvuso paṭibhānakammaṃ paṭikkhipitvā mālākammādīni bhagavatā kattha anuññātāni, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ anuññātāni.
问曰:尊者,止宿处中,佛陀在何处禁止了辩才行为及戴花等行为?禁止哪些内容?是从何时起,针对什么具体事项有所禁止?
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhante chabbaggiye bhikkhū ārabbha anuññātāni. Chabbaggiyā bhante bhikkhū vihāre paṭibhānacittaṃ kārāpesuṃ itthirūpakaṃ purisarūpakaṃ, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ anuññātāni.
答曰:在王舍城,六十名部族的比库开始受到禁止。六十族的比库在止宿处制造辩才之心,用女性形象或男子形象等,于此事项上被禁止。
Pucchā – yathāvuḍḍhaṃ āvuso abhivādanādīni ca aggāsanādīni ca anujānitvā saṅghikaṃ yathāvuḍḍhaṃ paṭibāhantassa dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰:尊者,如何知道对恭敬敬礼及首座等行为的规范?佛陀在何处,针对何种事由制定了相应限制?
Vissajjanā – antarā ca bhante vesāliṃ antarā ca sāvatthiṃ chabbaggiyānaṃ bhikkhūnaṃ antevāsike bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, chabbaggiyānaṃ bhante bhikkhūnaṃ antevāsikā bhikkhū buddhappamukhassa saṅghassa purato purato gantvā vihāre paṭiggahesuṃ, seyyāyo paṭiggahesuṃ ‘‘idaṃ amhākaṃ upajjhāyānaṃ bhavissati, idaṃ amhākaṃ ācariyānaṃ bhavissati, idaṃ amhākaṃ bhavissatī’’ti, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
答曰:在韦萨离和舍卫城两地,针对六十族比库中的外来比库,佛陀对这些外住的六十族比库逐一前往止宿处接受,分配床位,指定哪些是师父的床,哪些是老师的床,哪些是女导师的床,这些事宜皆有所规范。
Pucchā – ekena āvuso dve paṭibāhantassa dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰:尊者,针对一名违犯者,佛陀在何处对其恶行作出规范?是从何时起,针对什么具体事项,而有此规范?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante āyasmantaṃ upanandaṃ sakyaputtaṃ ārabbha paññattaṃ, āyasmā bhante upanando sakyaputto eko dve paṭibāhi, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
释疑者说:在舍卫城,尊敬的具寿比库·伍波难德开始已约定(的问题),尊敬的伍波难德比库(只是)一人或两人犯违犯戒,在该情形中,尊敬的老师,这是所约定的项下。
Pucchā – navakena āvuso uddisantena samake vā āsane nisīdituṃ uccatare vā dhammagāravena, therena pana bhikkhunā uddisāpentena samake vā āsane nisīdituṃ nīcatare vā dhammagāravena bhagavatā kattha anuññātaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
询问者问:新来的善男子,若在同侧坐席上或正当尊敬法的位置上坐,长老比库尼若在同侧坐席或较低尊敬法的位置坐,世尊曾许可于何处、照何项由开始、在何情形下许可的?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante sambahule bhikkhū ārabbha anuññātaṃ, sambahulā bhante bhikkhū āyasmato upālissa santike vinayaṃ pariyāpuṇiṃsu, āyasmā bhante upāli ṭhitakova uddisati therānaṃ bhikkhūnaṃ gāravena, tattha bhante therā ceva bhikkhū kilamiṃsu āyasmā ca upāli kilami, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
释疑者说:在舍卫城,多数比库开始犯违犯戒,多数比库已经圆满具足尊敬具寿伍波厘的戒律,尊敬的伍波厘以长老比库们的尊敬态度比拟立住自己,在那里,长老比库们和伍波厘都犯违犯戒,于该情形中,这是所许可的事项。
Pucchā – tivassantarena āvuso saha nisīdituṃ bhagavatā kattha anuññātaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
询问者问:三年间,共坐于世尊旁边之处,世尊许可于何地、何项下允许?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante sambahule bhikkhū ārabbha anuññātaṃ, sambahulānaṃ bhante bhikkhūnaṃ etadahosi ‘‘kittāvatānu kho samānāsaniko hotī’’ti, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
释疑者说:在舍卫城,多数比库开始犯违犯戒,多数比库有此见解:「是以几人共有同坐席。」于该情形之下,这是许可的事项。
Pucchā – mañce ca āvuso pīṭhe ca dvinnaṃyeva nisīdituṃ bhagavatā kattha anuññātaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
询问者问:是否在座席台上只为两人而坐,世尊许可于何处,在何项下许可?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante sambahule samānāsanike ārabbha paññattaṃ, sambahulā bhante bhikkhū samānāsanikā mañce nisīditvā mañcaṃ bhindiṃsu, pīṭhe nisīditvā pīṭhaṃ bhindiṃsu, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
释疑者言:沙瓦提尊者们,在舍卫城,许多同座的比库们开始已有规定,许多尊者们同座时,坐席处有人坐就不再占据,如坐在床上就不再占据床,坐在座位上就不再占据座位,此事尊者们未被允许。
Pucchā – dīghāsane panāvuso asamānāsanikehipi nisīdituṃ bhagavatā kattha anuññātaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
问者问:尊者,大座位上是否允许与不同座位者同坐?此规制从何开始,针对何种物品制订?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante sambahule bhikkhū ārabbha anuññātaṃ, sambahulā bhante bhikkhū dīghāsane asamānāsanikehi saha nisīdituṃ kukkuccāyiṃsu, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
释疑者答:沙瓦提尊者们,许多比库开始对此有规定,许多比库对大座位上与不同座位者一同坐感到厌烦,此规则即针对此物品。
Pucchā – pañca āvuso avissajjiyāni bhagavatā kattha paññattāni, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattāni.
问者问:五项不得占据的处所,尊者是何处制定?此规定始自何时,针对何物所立?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante sambahule bhikkhū ārabbha paññattāni, sambahulā bhante bhikkhū saṅghikaṃ senāsanaṃ vissajjesuṃ, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
释疑者答:沙瓦提尊者们,许多比库开始制定此规定,许多比库解散僧众专用的军坐处,此规则即针对该物品。
Pucchā – pañca āvuso avebhaṅgiyāni bhagavatā kattha paññattāni, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattāni.
问者问:五项不得损坏的物件,尊者是何处制定?从何时始,针对何物所立?
Vissajjanā – kīṭāgirismiṃ bhante assajipunabbasuke bhikkhū ārabbha paññattāni, assajipunabbasukā bhante bhikkhū saṅghikaṃ senāsanaṃ vibhajiṃsu, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattāni.
解除物是指什么,尊者?诸比库习于土蚁群中,开始有规制。比库们分别为土蚁所住的蚁巢划分僧座,这些土蚁穴中便成了规制之处。
Pucchā – aññatra paribhogaṃ āvuso aññatra paribhuñjantassa dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问:尊者,只有为他人所用或他人所享之事,世尊制有何不善?规制始于何处?存在于何物中?
Vissajjanā – āḷaviyaṃ bhante sambahule bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, sambahulā bhante bhikkhū aññatarassa upāsakassa vihāraparibhogaṃ senāsanaṃ aññatra paribhuñjiṃsu, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
解除物答:阿拉维国诸多比库中,开始有所规定。多数比库只不过允许若干近事男在居所内使用僧座,这些地处处便有规制所在。
Pucchā – adhotehi ca āvuso allehi ca pādehi senāsanaṃ akkamantassa ca saupāhanena senāsanaṃ akkamantassa ca dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问:尊者,低矮处及栏杆和脚下之僧座、傲慢者的内外僧座,世尊制有何不善?规制始于何处?存在于何物中?
Vissajjanā – āḷaviyaṃ bhante sambahule bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, sambahulā bhante bhikkhū adhotehi pādehi senāsanaṃ akkamiṃsu, allehi ca pādehi senāsanaṃ akkamiṃsu, saupāhanāpi senāsanaṃ akkamiṃsu, senāsanaṃ dussi, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
解除物答:阿拉维国诸多比库,开始有所规定。多数比库不准低矮处与脚下的僧座,不准栏杆及脚边的僧座,也不准傲慢者的僧座,有僧座不净,这些地处即为规制所在。
Pucchā – parikammakatāya āvuso bhūmiyā niṭṭhubhantassa ca parikammakataṃ bhittiṃ apassayantassa ca dukkaṭaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问:尊者,出于恶意用地、毁坏墙壁及不顾其毁坏的人,世尊制有何不善?规制起始于何处?存在于何物中?
Vissajjanā – āḷaviyaṃ bhante sambahuleva bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, sambahulā bhante bhikkhū parikammakatāya bhūmiyā niṭṭhubhiṃsu, parikammakataṃ bhittiṃ apassayiṃsu, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
释除事——尊者,这阿拉维众比库即以此为规范,众多比库因修行而用地止住,未见此法所依,故在此事上有规范。
Pucchā – senāsanakkhandhakaṃ pucchissaṃ, sanidānaṃ saniddesaṃ. Samukkaṭṭhapadānaṃ āvuso kati āpattiyo.
问——请问关于僧宿聚集相关之大众戒律,缘起何如?详述其因由与具体情况。尊长,合众规定有多少违反行为?
Vissajjanā – senāsanakkhandhakaṃ vissajjissaṃ, sanidānaṃ saniddesaṃ. Samukkaṭṭhapadānaṃ bhante tisso āpattiyo.
释除事——关于僧宿聚集相关大众戒律的释除,缘起及其说明。尊者,具足的违法行为共有三处。
7. Saṅghatedakakkhandhaka7. 僧团分裂篇集
Pucchā – kathaṃ āvuso channaṃ sakyakumārānaṃ saha upālikappakena pabbajjā ahosi, kathañca nesaṃ viseso udapādi.
问——尊者,如何与遮盖之释迦族部子弟共同随婆罗门行乞?且他们出现了何等特别之现象?
Vissajjanā – bhagavā bhante upāliṃ kappakaṃ paṭhamaṃ pabbājesi, pacchā te sakyakumāre, atha bhante āyasmā bhaddiyo teneva antaravassena tisso vijjā sacchākāsi, āyasmā anuruddho dibbacakkhuṃ uppādesi, āyasmā ānando sotāpattiphalaṃ sacchākāsi, devadatto pothujjanikaṃ iddhiṃ abhinipphādesi. Evaṃ kho bhante channaṃ sakyakumārānaṃ upālikappakena saha pabbajjā ahosi, evañca pana bhante tesaṃ visesādhigamo ahosi.
释除事——世尊最初度婆罗门弟子伍巴离,后来度释迦族部众子弟,尊者长老巴提多三乘解脱成就,长老阿奴儒达显现天眼,长老阿难证得初果,迭瓦达德示现凡夫通神通。如此遮盖下释迦族部子弟共随婆罗门行乞,并获得种种殊胜奇特结果。
Pakāsanīya应宣告
Pucchā – pakāsanīyakammaṃ āvuso kātuṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问——有关布施劳动,尊者由世尊何处制定?由何开始、何事为其所依定?
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhante devadattaṃ ārabbha paññattaṃ, devadatto bhante ‘‘sarājikāya maṃ bhagavā parisāya kheḷāsakavādena apasādeti, sāriputtamoggallāneva ukkaṃsatī’’ti kupito anattamano bhagavati āghātaṃ bandhi, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
释疑解说——于王舍城,尊者德瓦达塔着手讨论,言及德瓦达塔曰:『世尊因其与王宫众弟子嬉戏时的言行,使沙利弗与摩诃迦罗等人对他生起不敬,故心怀不善、忿恨、不顺世尊,遂对世尊施加打击。尊者,此事即发生于此义项中。』
Pakāsanīya应宣告
Pucchā – devadattassa āvuso pakāsanīyakammaṃ kārāpetvā kathaṃ bhagavā pakāsetuṃ āṇāpesi.
问曰——尊者,既然弟子德瓦达塔已实施激怒世尊的行为,世尊如何用法开示、令彼披露本心?
Vissajjanā – bhagavā bhante devadattassa pakāsanīyakammaṃ kātuṃ paññapetvā āyasmantaṃ sāriputtaṃ āmantesi ‘‘tena hi tvaṃ sāriputta devadattaṃ rājagahe pakāsehī’’ti, evaṃ kho bhante devadattassa pakāsanīyakammaṃ katvā devadattaṃ rājagahe pakāsetuṃ bhagavā āṇāpesi.
释疑解说——世尊为使德瓦达塔宣露真相,先以示现激怒的行为见证之,后唤请尊者沙利弗,告之曰:『汝当于王舍城使德瓦达塔袒露其意。』于是尊者施教,德瓦达塔遂于王舍城如法披露其恶行,世尊遂善诱导之。此为本处义释解。
Devadatta迭瓦达德
Pucchā – kathaṃ āvuso devadattena duṭṭhacittena vadhakacittena tathā gatassa ruhiraṃ uppādetvā paṭhamaṃ ānantariyaṃ kammaṃ upacitaṃ.
问曰——尊者,德瓦达塔因何起恶念、怀杀意,继而搅动如来的血光之灾,为初不善之加害因?
Vissajjanā – bhagavā bhante gijjhakūṭassa pabbatassa chāyāyaṃ caṅkami, atha bhante devadatto gijjhakūṭaṃ pabbataṃ āruhitvā mahatiṃ silaṃ pavijjhi ‘‘imāya samaṇaṃ gotamaṃ jīvitā voropessāmī’’ti, atha kho bhante dve pabbatakūṭāni samāgantvā taṃ silaṃ sampaṭicchiṃsu, tato papatikā uppatitvā bhagavato pāde ruhiraṃ uppādesi. Evaṃ kho bhante devadattena duṭṭhena vadhakacittena tathāgatassa ruhiraṃ uppādetvā paṭhamaṃ ānantariyakammaṃ upacitaṃ.
释疑解说——世尊当时行于吉迦窟山阴凉处,彼时德瓦达塔攀登吉迦窟山,藏身大岩,心怀杀意,立誓曰:『吾欲割断此沙门果德玛之生命。』其后二山峰汇合,坚石相撞,响声震天,随即从顶石落下,对世尊脚部激起血光。由此可见,弟子德瓦达塔因其恶念怀杀意,遂造成如来血光之初错业。此即本义所在。
Pucchā – kulesu āvuso tikabhojanaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰——尊者,世尊何处曾用三餐供养众生,此事由谁启动,于何因缘、何义项中定立?
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhante devadattaṃ ārabbha paññattaṃ, devadatto bhante parihīnalābhasakkāro sapariso kulesu viññāpetvā viññāpetvā bhuñji, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
释疑者言:在王舍城,尊者迭瓦达德开始讲述,尊者迭瓦达德在为人所遗弃财物的敬重上,广为显扬,遍传诸族群,享用之,针对此法物为讲述。
Pucchā – alaṃ devadatta, mā te rucci saṅghabhedo, garuko kho devadatta saṅghabhedotiādiko āvuso ovādo bhagavatā kattha dinno, kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ dinno.
问曰:迭瓦达德阿难,愿勿喜好僧团分裂。尊者迭瓦达德,关于沉重的僧团分裂等事,亲友们由世尊何处受教?又是就何法物得教?
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhante devadattaṃ ārabbha dinno, devadatto bhante saṅghabhedāya parakkami cakkabhedāya, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ dinno.
释疑者答:在王舍城,尊者迭瓦达德开始讲授,关于僧团分裂与分裂规则所涉及的法物,是被授予的。
Alaṃ devadatta, mā te rucci saṅghabhedo, garuko kho devadatta saṅghabhedo –
愿勿喜好,迭瓦达德,僧团分裂。沉重确实是,迭瓦达德,僧团分裂——
Pucchā – ‘‘sukaraṃ sādhunā sādhuṃ, sādhuṃ pāpena dukkaraṃ. Pāpaṃ pāpena sukaraṃ, pāpamariyehi dukkara’’nti- āvuso idaṃ udānaṃ bhagavatā kattha udānitaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ udānitaṃ.
问曰:“善行者听闻善,善者恶行难得。恶行者见恶难,恶者若弃恶难。”亲友啊,此句偈言世尊于何处宣说?就何因、何法物而说?
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhante devadattaṃyeva ārabbha udānitaṃ, āyasmā bhante ānando pubbaṇhasamayaṃ nivāsetvā pattacīvaramādāya rājagahaṃ piṇḍāya pāvisi, atha kho bhante devadatto yenāyasmā ānando tenupasaṅkami, upasaṅkamitvā āyasmantaṃ ānandaṃ etadavoca ‘‘ajjatagge dānāhaṃ āvuso ānanda aññatreva bhagavatā aññatreva bhikkhusaṅghā uposathaṃ karissāmi saṅghakammaṃ karissāmī’’ti, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ udānitaṃ.
释疑者答:在王舍城,确由尊者迭瓦达德开始所说。尊者阿难,晨时安住后,持缁衣赴王舍城乞食,尊者迭瓦达德由此迎接,入前而告阿难:“今晨我亲友阿难,除世尊及比库僧团外,不对他人行供养,不行僧团仪式。”此法物即为宣说。
Sukaraṃ sādhunā sādhuṃ, sādhuṃ pāpena dukkaraṃ;
善与善相应,善难与恶相应;
Pāpaṃ pāpena sukaraṃ, pāpamariyehi dukkaraṃ.
恶多以恶为易,恶因恶难可除。
Pucchā – bhedānuvattakānaṃ āvuso bhikkhūnaṃ thullaccayaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰——关于持犯比库们的恶秽,世尊于何处规定,从何事上开始制定者?
Vissajjanā – rājagahe bhante sambahule bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, āyasmā bhante sāriputto bhagavantaṃ upasaṅkamitvā etadavoca ‘‘sādhu bhante bhedānuvattakā bhikkhū puna upasampajjeyyu’’nti, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
答曰——尊者,世尊于王舍城众多比库中开始制定,尊者沙利子前来世尊所,言道『善哉世尊,应当令持犯比库再入上座』,由此事始定。
‘‘Sādhu bhante bhedānuvattakā bhikkhū puna upasampajjeyyu’’nti –
『应当令持犯比库再入上座』之意为——
Pucchā – kittāvatā nu kho āvuso saṅgharāji hoti no ca saṅghabhedo, kittāvatā ca pana saṅgharāji ceva hoti saṅghabhedo ca.
问曰——世尊,究竟多少时比库为僧王,多少时为僧团发生分裂?
Vissajjanā – ekato bhante eko hoti, ekato dve catuttho anussāveti, salākaṃ gāheti ‘‘ayaṃ dhammo ayaṃ vinayo idaṃ satthusāsanaṃ imaṃ gaṇhatha imaṃ rocethāti’’, eteneva bhante nayena catunnaṃ vā pañcannaṃ vā channaṃ vā sattannaṃ vā aṭṭhannaṃ vā saṅgharāji hoti, no ca saṅghabhedo, ekato bhante cattāro honti, ekato cattāro, navamo anussāveti, salākaṃ gāheti ‘‘ayaṃ dhammo ayaṃ vinayo idaṃ satthusāsanaṃ imaṃ gaṇhatha imaṃ rocethā’’ti, evaṃ kho bhante saṅgharāji ceva hoti saṅghabhedo ca. Evaṃ kho bhante saṅgharāji hoti, no ca saṅghabhedo, evañca pana bhante saṅgharāji ceva hoti saṅghabhedo ca.
调伏者——尊者啊,有时是一人,有时是二人,有时是三人,有时是四人,为戒条作戒标,握持竹签说:『这是法,这是律,这是佛陀的教法,接受此法,欢喜此法。』依此教法,尊者啊,四人、五人、七人、八人聚合时,便成为僧众的王主,而不生僧众分裂;有时尊者啊,是四人,四人中第九人作戒标,执竹签宣说:『这是法,这是律,这是佛陀的教法,接受此法,欢喜此法。』如此,尊者啊,既有僧众王主,亦有僧众分裂。是以尊者啊,有僧众王主,无僧众分裂,又有僧众王主,且有僧众分裂。
Pucchā – kittāvatā nu kho āvuso saṅgho bhinno hoti.
问曰:朋友啊,僧团究竟何时才生分裂?
Vissajjanā – idha bhante bhikkhū adhammādiṃ dhammādīnīti dīpenti, te imehi aṭṭhārasahi vatthūhi apakassanti, avapakassanti, āveniṃ uposathaṃ karonti, āveniṃ pavāraṇaṃ karonti, āveniṃ saṅghakammaṃ karonti, evaṃ kho bhante saṅgho bhinno hoti.
答曰:尊者啊,当比库们讥刺不法及法时,并以十八种事品指责、谴责他们;若其仍来做守波萨他、做喝摩那、做僧众仪式,尊者啊,如此则此僧团生分裂。
Pucchā – kittāvatā nu kho āvuso saṅgho samaggo hoti.
问曰:朋友啊,僧团何时才具和合?
Vissajjanā – idha bhante bhikkhū adhammaṃ adhammoti dīpenti, dhammaṃ dhammoti dīpenti, avinayaṃ avinayoti dīpenti…pe… duṭṭhullaṃ āpattiṃ duṭṭhullā āpattīti dīpenti, aduṭṭhullaṃ āpattiṃ aduṭṭhullā āpattīti dīpenti, te imehi aṭṭhārasahi vatthūhi na apakassanti, na avapakassanti, na āveniṃ uposathaṃ karonti, na āveniṃ pavāraṇaṃ karonti, na āveniṃ saṅghakammaṃ karonti, ettāvatā kho bhante saṅgho samaggo hoti.
答曰:尊者啊,当比库们用言语明白宣说何为不法、何为法,何为违规、何为守律……以及恶戒罪、不恶戒罪时,不以十八种事品作为指责、谴责,亦不来守波萨他,不来做喝摩那,不来行沙弥仪式,如此尊者啊,则此僧团即现和合。
Pucchā – samaggaṃ āvuso saṅghaṃ bhinditvā kiṃ so pasavati.
问曰:若僧团和合后,却群体生分裂,将有何祸患?
Vissajjanā – samaggaṃ kho bhante saṅghaṃ bhinditvā kappaṭṭhitikaṃ kibbisaṃ pasavati, kappaṃ nirayamhi paccati.
释疑者说:世尊,众僧若分裂破散,各自安立己见,业报即感于地狱。
Pucchā – bhinnaṃ kho āvuso saṅghaṃ samaggaṃ katvā kiṃ so pasavati.
问者说:善男子,若使本不合的僧团合而为一,他将安立何处?
Vissajjanā – bhinnaṃ kho bhante saṅghaṃ samaggaṃ katvā brahmaṃ puññaṃ pasavati, kappaṃ saggamhi modati.
释疑者说:善男子,若已分裂的僧团重新合和,则安立于梵天福报,业报则乐于天界。
Pucchā – saṅghabhedaṃ pucchissaṃ, sanidānaṃ saniddesaṃ. Samukkaṭṭhapadānaṃ āvuso kati āpattiyo.
问者说:欲问僧团分裂,请为详细陈述起因与缘故。既成犯戒的比库,有几种罪过?
Vissajjanā – saṅghabhedaṃ vissajjissaṃ, sanidānaṃ saniddesaṃ. Samukkaṭṭhapadānaṃ bhante dve āpattiyo.
释疑者说:欲问僧团分裂的起因与缘故。既成犯戒者,世尊,罪过有两种。
8. Vattakkhandhaka第八 行仪篇集
Pucchā – āgantukānaṃ āvuso bhikkhūnaṃ vattaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问者说:外来比库们的行为,世尊曾在何处约定?从何时起,于何事中立此约定?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante sambahule āgantuke bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, āgantukā bhante bhikkhū saupāhanāpi ārāmaṃ pavisiṃsu, chattapaggahitāpi ārāmaṃ pavisiṃsu, oguṇṭhitāpi ārāmaṃ pavisiṃsu, sīsepi cīvaraṃ karitvā ārāmaṃ pavisiṃsu, pānīyenapi pāde doviṃsu, vuḍḍhatarepi āvāsike bhikkhū nābhivādesuṃ, napi senāsanaṃ pucchiṃsu, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ ‘‘tena hi bhikkhave āgantukānaṃ bhikkhūnaṃ vattaṃ paññapessāmi, yathā āgantukehi bhikkhūhi sammā vattitabbaṃ, āgantukena bhikkhave bhikkhunā idāni ārāmaṃ pavisissāmīti upāhanā omuñcitvā nīcaṃ katvā papphoṭetvā gahetvā chattaṃ apanāmetvā sīsaṃ vivaritvā sīse cīvaraṃ khandhe katvā sādhukaṃ ataramānena ārāmo pavisitabbo’’ evamādinā bhante āgantukānaṃ bhikkhūnaṃ vattaṃ paññattaṃ.
释疑说——世尊,于舍卫城,众多来访比库们开始了规矩的制定。来访者比库甚至在入室时,有的携带伞帽,有的披蓑衣,有的头上披着袈裟,手持袈裟入室,亦有用手沾水洗脚的。年长的住持比库既不行礼,也不问席位。在此事上,世尊言:『比库们啊,我将为来访比库们制定行为规矩,使来访比库应当合宜行持。来访比库入室时,应当放下伞帽,轻轻折叠,不可折断;将伞举起攀持,头发揭露,头顶披袈裟,袈裟披挂于肩,不失整洁庄重,方可庄严进入讲堂。』如是,世尊为来访比库制定了行为规矩。
Pucchā – āvāsikānaṃ āvuso bhikkhūnaṃ vattaṃ bhagavatā kattha kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ, kathañca pana paññattaṃ.
问——世尊,驻住比库的行为规矩是从何时、在何事上开始制定的?又是如何制定的?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante sambahule āvāsike bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, sambahulā bhante āvāsikā bhikkhū āgantuke bhikkhū disvā neva āsanaṃ paññapesuṃ, na pādodakaṃ pādapīṭhaṃ pādakathalikaṃ upanikkhipiṃsu, na paccuggantvā pattacīvaraṃ paṭiggahesuṃ, na senāsanaṃ paññapesuṃ, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ –
释疑说——世尊,于舍卫城,众多驻住比库开始制订规矩。众多驻住比库见到来访比库,既不安排座位,也不放置水盆、脚座、脚凳,亦不引导对方着袈裟入座,也不指定坐处。在这件事上,世尊制定了规矩,如是说:『驻住比库见到年长来访比库,应当安排座位,放置饮水盆、脚座、脚凳;来临后,应主动接过袈裟并为其问水。』如是,世尊为驻住比库制定了行为规矩。
‘‘Āvāsikena bhikkhave bhikkhunā āgantukaṃ bhikkhuṃ vuḍḍhataraṃ disvā āsanaṃ paññapetabbaṃ, pādodakaṃ pādapīṭhaṃ pādakathalikaṃ upanikkhipitabbaṃ, paccuggantvā pattacīvaraṃ paṭiggahetabbaṃ pānīyena pucchitabbo’’ evamādinā bhante āvāsikānaṃ bhikkhūnaṃ vattaṃ bhagavatā paññattaṃ.
问——世尊,行脚人的行为规矩是从何时、在何事上制定的?又是如何制定的?
Pucchā – gamikānaṃ āvuso bhikkhūnaṃ vattaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ, kathañcapana paññattaṃ.
释疑说——世尊,于舍卫城,众多行脚比库开始制订规矩。众多行脚比库不修理木制器具和陶器器具,敞开门窗,未打扫住处就离开,没有打扫坐席。在此事上,世尊制定了规矩:『行脚比库修理木制器具,堵塞敞开的门窗,打扫住处并获得同意后方可离开。』如此,世尊以事实为依据,为行脚比库制定了行为规矩。
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante sambahule gamike bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, sambahulā bhante gamikā bhikkhū dārubhaṇḍaṃ mattikābhaṇḍaṃ appaṭisāmetvā dvāravātapānaṃ vivaritvā senāsanaṃ anāpucchā pakkamiṃsu, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ ‘‘gamikena bhikkhave bhikkhunā dārubhaṇḍaṃ paṭisāmetvā dvāravātapānaṃ thaketvā senāsanaṃ āpucchā pakkamitabbaṃ’’ evamādinā bhante ākārena bhagavatā gamikānaṃ bhikkhūnaṃ vattaṃ paññattaṃ.
答:「大德,此乃在沙瓦提,以众多游行比库为缘而制定。大德,有众多游行比库,未收置木制器具、陶制器具,未关闭门窗,便未请假而离开住处。大德,关于此事因缘,世尊为游行比库制定了应行规范,其内容为:『比库们,游行比库应收置木制器具、陶制器具,关闭门窗,请假后方可离开住处。』大德,世尊即以如此等方式为游行比库制定了应行规范。」
Pucchā – bhattagge āvuso anumodituṃ bhagavatā kattha anuññātaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
问曰:在食事期间,善知识,请问世尊批准允许的内容有何处?从何时开始?在什么事项中是允许的?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante sambahule bhikkhū ārabbha anuññātaṃ, sambahulā bhante bhikkhū bhattagge nānumodiṃsu, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
答曰:在舍卫城,尊者们多起开始有批准,有很多尊者在食事期间不加批准,这里面的事项是被批准的。
Pucchā – bhikkhūnaṃ āvuso bhattaggavattaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰:善知识,请问比库们的食事期间制度由世尊在哪里制定?从何时开始?在什么事项中规定?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante chabbaggiye bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, chabbaggiyā bhante bhikkhū dunnivatthā duppārutā anākappasampannā bhattaggaṃ gacchiṃsu, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ ‘‘sace ārāme kālo ārocito hoti, timaṇḍalaṃ paṭicchādentena parimaṇḍalaṃ nivāsetvā kāyabandhanaṃ bandhitvā saguṇaṃ katvā saṅghāṭiyo pārupitvā gaṇṭhikaṃ paṭimuñcitvā dhovitvā pattaṃ gahetvā sādhukaṃ ataramānena gāmo pavisitabbo’’ti evamādinā bhante bhattaggavattaṃ paññattaṃ.
答曰:在舍卫城六部落比库们开始制定食事期间制度。六部落比库们进入了一种稀缺、贫乏、未经净除、不完备的食事期间,依照如下事项制定:如果通知了时间、以三种圆形遮蔽圈定范围、束缚身体、正确并和善地着装、穿戴桑嘎帝、解开结、清洗、持水瓢并适当整洁、不喧扰地进入村庄。照此种种而制定食事期间制度。
Pucchā – bhikkhūnaṃ āvuso senāsanavattaṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ, kathañca taṃ paññattaṃ.
问曰:善知识,请问比库们的安居期间制度由世尊在哪里制定?从何时开始?在什么事项中规定?以及该制度如何确定?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante chabbaggiye bhikkhū ārabbha paññattaṃ, chabbaggiyā bhante bhikkhū bhikkhūsu ajjhokāse cīvaraṃ karontesu paṭivāte aṅgaṇe senāsanaṃ papphoṭesuṃ, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ ‘‘yasmiṃ vihāre viharati, sace so vihāro uklāpo hoti, sace ussahati sodhetabbo’’ti evamādinā bhante bhikkhūnaṃ senāsanavattaṃ bhagavatā paññattaṃ.
答曰:在舍卫城六部落比库们开始制定安居期间制度。六部落比库们对比库们之间怨恨纷争时加以禁止,在院落用炭灰划定安居区域。事项是:居住处若发生纷争,则须加以纠正。照如此等来说,世尊制定比库们的安居期间制度。
Pucchā – samācāraṃ pucchissaṃ, sanidānaṃ saniddesaṃ. Samukkaṭṭhapadānaṃ āvuso kati āpattiyo.
询问者-欲问其行为,详述其缘起。就设立条例而言,友人,这有多少过失?
Vissajjanā – samācāraṃ vissajjissaṃ, sanidānaṃ saniddesaṃ. Samukkaṭṭhapadānaṃ bhante ekā āpatti.
答复者-欲废止其行为,详述其缘起。就设立条例而言,尊者,只有一种过失。
9. Pātimokkhaṭṭhapanakkhandhaka第九 搁置巴帝摩卡篇集
Pucchā – sāpattikena āvuso pātimokkhaṃ suṇantassa pātimokkhaṃ ṭhapetuṃ bhagavatā kattha paññattaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
询问者-请问,友人,对于听闻律戒者,世尊于何处制订律戒?起始于何事?于何条文制定?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante aññataraṃ puggalaṃ dussīlaṃ pāpadhammaṃ ārabbha paññattaṃ, aññataro bhante puggalo dussīlo pāpadhammo tadahuposathe saṅghamajjhe nisinno ahosi, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ paññattaṃ.
答复者-尊者,在沙瓦提有一恶行,是由某个坏人开始施行的;某个坏人于该戒期内在僧团中坐着,也是恶行发生之处,尊者,于此条文制定。
Pucchā – ṭhapanaṃ āvuso pucchissaṃ, sanidānaṃ saniddesaṃ. Samukkaṭṭhapadānaṃ āvuso kati āpattiyo.
询问者-设立者,友人我要问,详述其缘起。就设立条例而言,友人,有多少过失?
Vissajjanā – ṭhapanaṃ vissajjissaṃ, sanidānaṃ saniddesaṃ. Samukkaṭṭhapadānaṃ bhante ekā āpatti.
答复者-废止者,欲废止者,详述其缘起。就设立条例而言,尊者,只有一项过失。
10. Bhikkhunikkhandhaka第十 比库尼篇集
Pucchā – aṭṭhahi āvuso garudhammehi upasampadā bhagavatā kattha anuññātā, kassa anuññātā, kismiñca vatthusmiṃ anuññātā.
问答——尊者,请问世尊准许具足八种德行的比库尼受具足戒,准许于何处,准许给谁,准许于何事?
Vissajjanā – vesāliyaṃ bhante mahāpajāpatiyā gotamiyā anuññātā, mahāpajāpati bhante gotamī sūnehi pādehi rajokiṇṇena gattena dukkhī dummanā assumukhī rudamānā bahidvārakoṭṭhake aṭṭhāsi, atha kho bhante āyasmā ānando mahāpajāpatiṃ gotamiṃ taṃ kāraṇaṃ pucchitvā bhagavantaṃ catukkhattuṃ yāci mātugāmassa tathāgatappavedite dhammavinaye āgārasmā anāgāriyaṃ pabbajjaṃ, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ anuññātā.
答复——尊者,迦毗罗卫国的摩诃波阇波提·果德弥比库尼获得准许。摩诃波阇波提·果德弥比库尼因儿女、双脚、瘀痕、痛苦、恶心、愤怒、面向火焰、哭泣,站立于大门外之处。于是尊者阿难尊者向摩诃波阇波提·果德弥比库尼问及此因,世尊亲自教导、许可使母族村落,遵循如来所宣说的法与比库尼律,出家由居士转为游方者戒,是于此事上给予准许。
Pucchā – bhikkhūhi āvuso bhikkhuniyo upasampādetuṃ bhagavatā kattha anuññātaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
问答——尊者,世尊准许比库尼受具足戒,是于何处准许,从何处开始,于何事上准许?
Vissajjanā – vesāliyaṃ bhante mahāpajāpatiṃ gotamiṃ ārabbha anuññātaṃ, mahāpajāpati bhante gotamī bhagavantaṃ etadavoca ‘‘kathāhaṃ bhante imāsu sākiyānīsu paṭipajjāmī’’ti, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
答复——尊者,迦毗罗卫国的摩诃波阇波提·果德弥比库尼起初获得准许。摩诃波阇波提·果德弥向世尊言:「尊者,我当在舍卫国诸比库尼中修行。」是于此事上给予准许。
Pucchā – ekato upasampannāya āvuso bhikkhunisaṅghe visuddhāya bhikkhusaṅghe upasampādetuṃ bhagavatā kattha anuññātaṃ, kaṃ ārabbha kismiṃ vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
问答——尊者,世尊准许一方受具戒者,即比库尼僧团纯净后,准许再度使比库尼团受具足戒,是于何处准许,从何处开始,于何事准许?
Vissajjanā – sāvatthiyaṃ bhante sambahule bhikkhū ārabbha anuññātaṃ, sambahulā bhante bhikkhū bhikkhunīnaṃ antarāyike dhamme pucchiṃsu, upasampadāpekkhāyo vitthāyiṃsu, maṅkū ahesuṃ, na sakkhiṃsu vissajjetuṃ, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ anuññātaṃ.
答复——尊者,在舍卫国,众多比库先开始准许。众多比库询问了比库尼之障碍事、观察比库尼出家条件,结果动摇不决,未能准许。因此是于此事上给予准许。

犯错——若犯比库尼律篇戒,应当详明其因缘缘故。于相应戒文中,尊者,有两种犯戒情况。

犯错——若犯七百戒篇戒,应当详明其因缘缘故。于相应戒文中,尊者,无犯戒情况。
Pucchā – kassa āvuso vacanaṃ.
问曰:『尊者,请问是谁的语辞?』
Vissajjanā – bhagavato bhante vacanaṃ arahato sammāsambuddhassa.
答曰:『是世尊、尊敬的阿拉汉、正自觉者的语辞。』
Pucchā – ke āvuso sikkhanti.
问曰:『尊者,请问谁在修习?』
Vissajjanā – sekkhā ca bhante puthujjanakalyāṇakā ca sikkhanti.
答曰:『施行的是尊者,平庸善人们也在修习。』
Pucchā – ke āvuso sikkhitasikkhā.
问曰:『尊者,请问何人为所修之修习已完满?』
Vissajjanā – arahanto bhante sikkhitasikkhā.
答曰:『阿拉汉们,尊者,修习已完满。』
Pucchā – kattha āvuso ṭhitaṃ.
问曰:『尊者,您在哪里立止?』
Vissajjanā – sikkhākāmesu bhante ṭhitaṃ.
答曰:『尊者,我立止于修习之欲中。』
Pucchā – kenāvuso ābhataṃ.
问曰:『尊者,您以什么作为立止之所依?』
Vissajjanā – paramparāya bhante ābhataṃ.
答曰:『尊者,我以传承作为依凭立止。』
