Pucchā – sādhu sādhu āvuso mayampi dāni tatoyeva paṭṭhāya saṃgāyituṃ pubbakiccāni samārabhāma…, tenāvuso bhagavatā jānatā passatā arahatā sammāsambuddhena brahmajālasuttaṃ kattha bhāsitaṃ.
问曰:『善哉善哉,尊者,我等如今亦当着手,根据先时所积善业,一同诵习。』彼时,尊者答曰:『世尊、阿拉汉、正自觉者明知洞见,曾于《梵网经》中何处所说?』
Vissajjanā – antarā ca bhante rājagahaṃ antarā ca nāḷandaṃ ambalaṭṭhikāyaṃ rājāgārake bhāsitaṃ.
答曰:『尊者,介于王舍城与那烂陀之间,于蔷薇竹林中,王舍城祇园所说。』
Pucchā – kaṃ āvuso ārabbha bhāsitaṃ.
问曰:『尊者,于何者开始所说?』
Vissajjanā – suppiyañca bhante paribbājakaṃ brahmadattañca māṇavaṃ ārabbha bhāsitaṃ.
答曰:『尊者,于沙门苏彼耶与婆罗门大达陀师子童子处开始所说。』
Pucchā – kismiṃ āvuso vatthusmiṃ bhāsitaṃ.
问曰:『尊者,于何题材中所说?』
Vissajjanā – vaṇṇāvaṇṇe bhante, suppiyo hi bhante anekapariyāyena buddhassa avaṇṇaṃ bhāsati dhammassa avaṇṇaṃ bhāsati saṅghassa avaṇṇaṃ bhāsati, suppiyassa pana paribbājakassa antevāsī brahmadatto māṇavo anekapariyāyena buddhassa vaṇṇaṃ bhāsati dhammassa vaṇṇaṃ bhāsati saṅghassa vaṇṇaṃ bhāsati, tasmiṃ bhante vatthusmiṃ bhāsitaṃ.
答曰:『尊者,其题材有色。有色者,沙门苏彼耶以多种比喻,论及佛陀之色,法之色,僧团之色。至于沙门苏彼耶之末住婆罗门大达陀师子童子,则以多种比喻,论及佛陀之色,法之色,僧团之色。此即尊者所问之题材。』
Anusandhe随寻
Pucchā – kati āvuso tattha anusandhayo.
问曰:在那里,朋友,有多少种不同的思念?
Vissajjanā – tayo bhante tattha anusandhayo, eko avaṇṇānusandhi, dve vaṇṇānusandhiyo.
答曰:在那里有三种思念,尊者;其中一种是不善的思念,另外两种是善的思念。
Paṭhama anusandhe第一随寻
Pucchā – tatthāvuso paṭhame anusandhimhi kathaṃ bhagavatā bhāsitaṃ, taṃ saṃkhepato kathehi.
问曰:在那里,朋友,世尊如何在第一种思念中说法?请简要说之。
Vissajjanā – paṭhame bhante anusandhimhi avaṇṇe manopadosaṃ nivāretvā, tattha ca ādīnavaṃ dassetvā, tattha paṭipajjitabbākāro bhagavatā bhāsito.
答曰:在第一种思念中,尊者,世尊先说明不善的心意障碍已被止息,且显示由此生起的四种不善现象,然后示现应当修行的法门。
Mamaṃ vā bhikkhave pare avaṇṇaṃ bhāseyyuṃ, dhammassa vā avaṇṇaṃ bhāseyyuṃ saṅghassa vā avaṇṇaṃ bhāseyyuṃ, tatra tumhehi na āghāto appaccayo na cetaso anabhiraddhi karaṇīyā…
比库们,无论是我还是他人,或是法,或是僧团,只要有不善的言论,你们应不受其苦恼,不起心内烦恼……
Dutiya anusandhe第二随寻
Pucchā – sādhu sādhu āvuso, sādhu kho bhagavā attanā paramukkaṃ sāgatakhantīguṇasamannāgato attano sāvakabhūte amhepi tattha samādāpesi, attanā ca lokadhammesu aniñjanasabhāvo amhākampi tathattāya ovādamadāsi, dutiyepanāvuso anusandhimhi kathaṃ bhagavatā bhāsitaṃ, tampi saṃkhepato pakāsehi.
问曰:善哉,善哉,朋友!世尊自身具有早期弟子所具的耐心与谦逊等功德,且对我们也如此启示,并且世尊在世法中无所执著,亦对我们开示真实教诲。在第二种思念中,请简略宣说世尊如何说法。
Vissajjanā – dutiye pana bhante anusandhimhi vaṇṇe cetaso uppilāvitattaṃ nisedhetvā, tattha ca ādīnavaṃ dassetvā, tattha ca paṭipajjanākāraṃ dassetvā, puthujjanassa vaṇṇabhūmibhūtāni tīṇi sīlāni vitthārato bhagavatā bhāsitāni.
「止息」——但第二分中,尊者展开心念的详述,先断除扰乱;然后示现其不善性;再示现修行止息的方式。世间众生因凡夫心性所生的三种根本性质,皆由世尊详尽阐述。
Mamaṃ vā bhikkhave pare vaṇṇaṃ bhāseyyuṃ, dhammassa vā vaṇṇaṃ bhāseyyuṃ, saṅghassa vā vaṇṇaṃ bhāseyyuṃ, tatra tumhehi na ānando na somanassaṃ na cetaso abhiraddhi karaṇīyā –
比库们啊,即使我对你们论述他法、法法或僧法的本质,此时你们不应由此生欢喜、不生悦乐,亦不可令心意生增长。
Tatiya anusandhe第三随寻
Pucchā – sādhu sādhu āvuso, sādhu kho bhagavā attanā paramukkaṃsagatasuparisuddhasīlasamannāgato, taṃ attano suparisuddhasīlaṃ dassetvā parepi tattha niyojesi, tatiye panāvuso anusandhimhi kathaṃ bhagavatā bhāsitaṃ, taṃ saṃkhepato pakāsehi.
问曰:「善哉善哉,尊者!世尊亲自以自觉清净善法所庄严,显示自身善法后,又任其阐扬于他。第三分中,尊者如何论述世尊所说?请简要说明。」
Vissajjanā – tatiye pana bhante anusandhimhi dvāsaṭṭhi diṭṭhiyo sabbaññuta ñāṇena vitthārato vibhajitvā, tāsañca cha phassāyatanapadaṭṭhānabhāvaṃ vibhāvetvā, micchādiṭṭhigatikādhiṭṭhā nañca vaṭṭaṃ kathetvā, yuttayogabhikkhuadhiṭṭhānañca vivaṭṭaṃ kathetvā, micchādiṭṭhigatikassa desanājālato avimuttabhāvaṃ desanājālato vimuttassa natthikabhāvañca vibhāvetvā, attano ca katthaci apariyāpannabhāvaṃ dassetvā, upādisesanibbānadhātuṃ pāpetvā desanā bhagavatā niṭṭhāpitā.
「止息」——第三分中,有六十二种见解,世尊以全知智慧详细解析,且将六根、六境、六触现象分解阐述,论及邪见及其流转,论及正见出家随宜修持的消长;又分析邪见流转之说者未得解脱、解脱之说无益,并示自身未尽之处,最终示入余染尽灭境界,圣者之说由此而成就。
Ucchinnabhāvanettiko bhikkhave tathāgatassa kāyo tiṭṭhati, yāvassa kāyo ṭhassati tāva naṃ dakkhanti devamanussā, kāyassa bhedā uddhaṃ jīvitapariyādānā na naṃ dakkhanti devamanussā.
比库们,断除烦恼之灯即如来身,当此身体尚存,天人及人皆能见;身体一旦毁坏,且生命缘尽时,天人及人则不能见此身体的分散。
Suttanidesanā经文解说
Pucchā – sādhu sādhu āvuso, sādhu kho bhagavā attanā dvāsaṭṭhi diṭṭhiyo ca cha phassāyatanāni ca dvādasa paṭiccasamuppādaṅgāni ca sabbaso parijānitvā tesaṃ parijānanatthāya paresampi tathattāya dhammaṃ pakāseti, suttañca nāma āvuso catunnaṃ suttanikkhepānaṃ aññataravaseneva nikkhittaṃ, tasmā tesu idaṃ suttaṃ katarena suttanikkhepena bhagavatā nikkhittaṃ.
问曰:「善哉善哉,尊者!世尊亲了知六十二种见,及六根六境,十二缘起法,因此全知详断,而向众生阐述真实法;且经文为四部经中极精华,故世尊以何法将此经置于经集之中?」
Vissajjanā – catūsu bhante suttanikkhepesu aṭṭhuppattinikkhepana idaṃ suttaṃ nikkhittaṃ.
解答——尊者,在四种经文安置方式中,此经是以缘起安置法所安置的。
Pucchā – kassa āvuso vacanaṃ.
问曰:『尊者,此言是谁所说?』
Vissajjanā – bhagavato bhante vacanaṃ arahato sammāsambuddhassa.
答曰:『世尊,尊者,此语乃阿拉汉、正自觉者世尊所说。』
Pucchā – kenāvuso ābhataṃ.
问曰:『尊者,此言由何因缘所起?』
Vissajjanā – paramparāya bhante ābhataṃ.
答曰:『尊者,由传承缘故而生。』
Pucchā – atthi nu kho āvuso ettha koci viraddhadosā, yena pacchimā janā micchāatthaṃ gaṇheyyuṃ.
问曰:『尊者,此处是否有某种增长之怒(viraddhadosā),以致后世众生取用错误之义?』
Vissajjanā – natthi bhante.
放弃——无此者,尊者。
