Jetavanavāsinikāyuppatti揭德林住者部的起源
Punapi rājā dakkhiṇārāmavāsimhi jimhamānase kuhakatissatthere pasanno hutvā tassatthāya mahāvihārasīmabbhantare jotivanuyyāne jetavanavihāraṃ kāretumārabhi. Mahāvihāravāsino bhikkhū taṃ nivāretuṃ asakkontā punapi tato apakkamiṃsu. Tadāpi mahāvihāro nava māsāni bhikkhūhi suñño ahosi. Rājā pana attano ajjhāsayavaseneva tattha jetavanavihāraṃ kāretvā tassa kuhakatissattherassa adāsiyeva. Tattha dakkhiṇagirivihārato sāgaliyā bhikkhū āgantvā vasiṃsu. Pacchā ca te ambasāmaṇerasilākālarañño kāle (1067-1080-bu-va) vetullavādino ahesuṃ .
又有一时,国王居住于南园,意怀怀疑、心怀疑虑的尊者孤迦迦提迦斯达那庄严安端之后,心怀欢喜,出于此故,开始在大寺分界里面的光明林苑内,建造戒坛及祇树给孤独园寺。大寺中的比库们因无力阻止,就从那里离开。即便如此,由比库们住空的大寺,九个月后依然空无一人。国王以他自己内心之决意,在那里亲自建造戒坛及祇树给孤迦迦提迦斯达那庄严安端之雄伟祇树园寺,供养其尊。于是从南山寺庙区域,萨迦利比库们前来居住。后来,那些比库与沙玛内拉、以及名为大片森林颜料的时间(僧众纪年1067-1080年)出现了诽谤者。
Evaṃ ācariyabuddhaghosattherassa sīhaḷadīpamāgamanakālato (965-bu-va) pubbeyeva visuddhattheravādīhi mahāvihāravāsīhi viruddhasamayā abhayagirivāsino (455-bu-va) sāgaliyā (797-810-bu-va) jetavanavāsino (829-845-bu-va) cāti tayo nikāyā uppannā ahesuṃ. Tesu pana abhayagirivāsinoyeva visesato pākaṭā ceva honti balavanto ca. Tathā hi te visuddhattheravādapiṭakañca vajjiputtakapariyāpannadhammarucinikāyapiṭakañca mahisāsakādinikāyapiṭakañca mahāyānapiṭakañca sampaṭicchanti. Tesu dhammarucinikāyapiṭakassa sampaṭicchitabhāvo pākaṭoyeva. Mahisāsakādinikāyapiṭakassa sampaṭicchitabhāvo pana phāhiyannāmassa cinabhikkhuno addhānakkamasallakkhaṇakathāya ceva aṭṭhakathāsu paṭikkhittavaṇṇapiṭakādināmavasena ca veditabbo, tathā mahāyānapiṭakassa sampaṭicchitabhāvopi.
由此看来,当时佛音尊者降临锡兰岛时(公元前965年),原已有清净长老宗派的大寺僧众,以及与之相反的无畏山住僧(约公元前455年)、萨迦利住僧(约公元前797-810年)、祇树园住僧(约公元前829-845年),因而形成这三派僧团。在这三派中,无畏山住僧特别突出且能力强大。事实上,这些清净长老宗派,经藏中包括了韦提罗子导师所传的律藏、戒本律藏和法蘊律藏,摩诃沙迦前辈主导的律藏,乃至大乘经藏都得以相应相契合。其中,法蘊律藏的相契合是相当明显的。摩诃沙迦等律藏的相契合则稍有偏差,因缺少部分比库对戒律特征的详解,也包括部分注释卷别以及原经录等,故需据此辨论。此外,大乘经藏的相契合亦是如此。
