Natthi devesu brahmacariyavāsoti? Āmantā. Sabbe devā jaḷā elamūgā aviññū hatthasaṃvācikā nappaṭibalā subhāsitadubbhāsitānaṃ atthamaññātuṃ, sabbe devā na buddhe pasannā na dhamme pasannā na saṅghe pasannā, na buddhaṃ bhagavantaṃ payirupāsanti, na buddhaṃ bhagavantaṃ pañhaṃ pucchanti, na buddhena bhagavatā pañhe vissajjite attamanā, sabbe devā kammāvaraṇena samannāgatā kilesāvaraṇena samannāgatā vipākāvaraṇena samannāgatā assaddhā acchandikā duppaññā abhabbā niyāmaṃ okkamituṃ kusalesu dhammesu sammattaṃ, sabbe devā mātughātakā pitughātakā arahantaghātakā ruhiruppādakā saṅghabhedakā, sabbe devā pāṇātipātino adinnādāyino kāmesumicchācārino musāvādino pisuṇavācā pharusāvācā samphappalāpino abhijjhāluno byāpannacittā micchādiṭṭhikāti? 「诸天中无梵行住」吗?是的。一切天人愚钝、哑默、无智、以手势交谈、无能力了知善说与恶说的义理,一切天人不信乐佛、不信乐法、不信乐僧伽,不亲近世尊佛陀,不向世尊佛陀请问,对世尊佛陀所解答的问题不感到欢喜,一切天人具有业障、具有烦恼障、具有果报障,无信、无意欲、劣慧,无能力在善法中进入正性决定,一切天人是杀母者、杀父者、杀阿拉汉者、出血者、破僧者,一切天人是杀生者、不与取者、欲邪行者、妄语者、两舌者、粗恶语者、杂秽语者、贪欲者、嗔恨心者、邪见者吗?不应如是说……

难道没有不愚钝、不哑默、有智、不以手势交谈、有能力了知善说与恶说的义理的天人吗,有信乐佛、信乐法、信乐僧伽的天人,亲近世尊佛陀,向世尊佛陀请问,对世尊佛陀所解答的问题感到欢喜,有不具业障、不具烦恼障、不具果报障,有信、有意欲、有慧,有能力在善法中进入正性决定的天人,有非杀母者、非杀父者、非杀阿拉汉者、非出血者、非破僧者的天人,有非杀生者、非不与取者、非欲邪行者、非妄语者、非两舌者、非粗恶语者、非杂秽语者、非贪欲者、无嗔恨心者、正见者的天人吗?是的。
Hañci atthi devā ajaḷā anelamūgā viññū na hatthasaṃvācikā paṭibalā subhāsitadubbhāsitānaṃ atthamaññātuṃ…pe… atthi devā buddhe pasannā…pe… sammādiṭṭhikā, no ca vata re vattabbe – ‘‘natthi devesu brahmacariyavāso’’ti.
如果有不愚钝、不哑默、有智、不以手势交谈、有能力了知善说与恶说的义理的天人……有信乐佛的天人……正见者,确实不应说——「诸天中无梵行住」。

「诸天中有梵行住」吗?是的。那里有出家、剃发、持袈裟衣、持钵,诸天中有正等正觉者出现,有独觉者出现,有声闻双出现吗?不应如是说……

诸人中有梵行住吗?是的。边地诸国、未开化的蛮族之处有梵行住,彼处没有诸比库、诸比库尼、诸近事男、诸近事女之去处吗?不应如是说。

「在中部国土中有梵行住吗?」「是的。」「在边地国土中有梵行住——在蛮族、无知者之处,那里没有比库、比库尼、近事男、近事女的去处吗?」「不应如此说。」
Atthi devesu brahmacariyavāsoti? Āmantā. Nanu vuttaṃ bhagavatā – ‘‘tīhi, bhikkhave, ṭhānehi jambudīpakā manussā uttarakuruke ca manusse adhiggaṇhanti deve ca tāvatiṃse! Katamehi tīhi? Sūrā, satimanto, idha brahmacariyavāso’’ti . Attheva suttantoti? Āmantā. Tena hi natthi devesu brahmacariyavāsoti.
「在诸天中有梵行住吗?」「是的。」「世尊不是说过——『诸比库!以三处,阎浮提的人类胜过北俱卢的人类及三十三天的诸天!以哪三处?勇猛、具念、此处的梵行住』——有此经吗?」「是的。」「那么,在诸天中无梵行住。」
Sāvatthiyaṃ vuttaṃ bhagavatā – ‘‘idha brahmacariyavāso’’ti? Āmantā. Sāvatthiyaṃyeva brahmacariyavāso, natthi aññatra brahmacariyavāsoti? Na hevaṃ vattabbe.
「世尊在沙瓦提说过——『此处有梵行住』吗?」「是的。」「仅在沙瓦提有梵行住,其他处无梵行住吗?」「不应如此说。」

Anāgāmissa puggalassa pañcorambhāgiyāni saṃyojanāni pahīnāni, pañcuddhambhāgiyāni saṃyojanāni appahīnāni, ito cutassa tattha upapannassa kuhiṃ phaluppattīti? Tattheva. Hañci anāgāmissa puggalassa pañcorambhāgiyāni saṃyojanāni pahīnāni , pañcuddhambhāgiyāni saṃyojanāni appahīnāni, ito cutassa tattha upapannassa tahiṃ phaluppatti; no ca vata re vattabbe – ‘‘natthi devesu brahmacariyavāso’’ti.
「不来者补特伽罗已断五下分结,未断五上分结,从此处死后生于彼处,在何处得果?」「就在彼处。」「如果不来者补特伽罗已断五下分结,未断五上分结,从此处死后生于彼处,在彼处得果;那么实在不应说——『在诸天中无梵行住』。」
Anāgāmissa puggalassa pañcorambhāgiyāni saṃyojanāni pahīnāni, pañcuddhambhāgiyāni saṃyojanāni appahīnāni , ito cutassa tattha upapannassa kuhiṃ bhāroharaṇaṃ, kuhiṃ dukkhapariññātaṃ, kuhiṃ kilesappahānaṃ, kuhiṃ nirodhasacchikiriyā, kuhiṃ akuppapaṭivedhoti? Tattheva. Hañci anāgāmissa puggalassa pañcorambhāgiyāni saṃyojanāni pahīnāni, pañcuddhambhāgiyāni saṃyojanāni appahīnāni, ito cutassa tattha upapannassa tahiṃ akuppapaṭivedho; no ca vata re vattabbe – ‘‘natthi devesu brahmacariyavāso’’ti.
不来者补特伽罗已断五下分结,未断五上分结,从此处死后生于彼处,在何处有负担的放下?在何处有苦的遍知?在何处有烦恼的断除?在何处有灭的作证?在何处有不动的通达?就在彼处。如果不来者补特伽罗已断五下分结,未断五上分结,从此处死后生于彼处,在彼处有不动的通达;则不应说「在诸天中无梵行住」。
Anāgāmissa puggalassa pañcorambhāgiyāni saṃyojanāni pahīnāni, pañcuddhambhāgiyāni saṃyojanāni appahīnāni, ito cutassa tattha upapannassa tahiṃ phaluppatti, tahiṃ bhāroharaṇaṃ, tahiṃ dukkhapariññātaṃ, tahiṃ kilesappahānaṃ, tahiṃ nirodhasacchikiriyā, tahiṃ akuppapaṭivedho; kenaṭṭhena vadesi – ‘‘natthi devesu brahmacariyavāso’’ti? Handa hi anāgāmī puggalo idha bhāvitena maggena tattha phalaṃ sacchikarotīti .
不来者补特伽罗已断五下分结,未断五上分结,从此处死后生于彼处,在彼处有果的获得,在彼处有负担的放下,在彼处有苦的遍知,在彼处有烦恼的断除,在彼处有灭的作证,在彼处有不动的通达;以何义你说「在诸天中无梵行住」?来吧,不来者补特伽罗以在此处修习的道在彼处作证果。

Anāgāmī puggalo idha bhāvitena maggena tattha phalaṃ sacchikarotīti? Āmantā. Sotāpanno puggalo tattha bhāvitena maggena idha phalaṃ sacchikarotīti? Na hevaṃ vattabbe.
不来者补特伽罗以在此处修习的道在彼处作证果?是的。入流者补特伽罗以在彼处修习的道在此处作证果?不应如此说。
Anāgāmī puggalo idha bhāvitena maggena tattha phalaṃ sacchikarotīti? Āmantā. Sakadāgāmī puggalo idha parinibbāyipuggalo tattha bhāvitena maggena idha phalaṃ sacchikarotīti? Na hevaṃ vattabbe.
不来者补特伽罗以在此处修习的道在彼处作证果?是的。一来者补特伽罗、在此处般涅槃者补特伽罗以在彼处修习的道在此处作证果?不应如此说。
Sotāpanno puggalo idha bhāvitena maggena idha phalaṃ sacchikarotīti? Āmantā. Anāgāmī puggalo tattha bhāvitena maggena tattha phalaṃ sacchikarotīti? Na hevaṃ vattabbe.
入流者补特伽罗以在此处修习的道在此处作证果?是的。不来者补特伽罗以在彼处修习的道在彼处作证果?不应如此说。
Sakadāgāmī puggalo idha parinibbāyipuggalo idha bhāvitena maggena idha phalaṃ sacchikarotīti? Āmantā. Anāgāmī puggalo tattha bhāvitena maggena tattha phalaṃ sacchikarotīti? Na hevaṃ vattabbe…pe….
一来者补特伽罗、在此处般涅槃者补特伽罗以在此处修习的道在此处作证果?是的。不来者补特伽罗以在彼处修习的道在彼处作证果?不应如此说……。
Idha vihāya niṭṭhassa puggalassa maggo ca bhāvīyati, na ca kilesā pahīyantīti? Āmantā. Sotāpattiphalasacchikiriyāya paṭipannassa puggalassa maggo ca bhāvīyati, na ca kilesā pahīyantīti? Na hevaṃ vattabbe…pe….
舍此处而完成者补特伽罗道被修习,而诸烦恼不被断除?是的。为入流果作证而行道者补特伽罗道被修习,而诸烦恼不被断除?不应如此说……。
Idha vihāya niṭṭhassa puggalassa maggo ca bhāvīyati, na ca kilesā pahīyantīti? Āmantā. Sakadāgāmiphalasacchikiriyāya paṭipannassa puggalassa…pe… arahattasacchikiriyāya paṭipannassa puggalassa maggo ca bhāvīyati, na ca kilesā pahīyantīti? Na hevaṃ vattabbe…pe….

「智者次第地,刹那刹那间,一点一点地;
Kammāro rajatasseva, niddhame malamattano’’ti .
如金匠炼银,清除自己的垢。」
