2这里,世尊,想让比丘证得阿拉汉果时——
Idha, mahārāja, arahattaṃ sacchikātukāmena bhikkhunā –
3须当持取猪身上的一件肢体。

4须当持取公鸡身上的五件肢体。

1一、「尊者 Nāgasena,您说‘必须取用犊牛的一肢’时,所说的这‘一肢’究竟为何?」答曰:「大王,如犊牛,名为噶陀罗(gadrabho),虽盘踞于山峰、小屋、村落门口、或岩洞虎穴,然其栖息之处非为多卧。犹如是,大王,修行者依禅修之法,依草芒、叶堆、树枝架,或破席之地,随所能得之片断,而有时可眠处却不可多寝。此即大王,所谓犊牛之一肢。此说出者,大王,乃世尊与天帝对众弟子谆谆告诫曰:‘此时此刻,我弟子当以坚定精进,不掉逸为念。’又由长老舍利弗这位法军统领所说:
1. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘gadrabhassa ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabba’nti yaṃ vadesi, katamaṃ taṃ ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabba’’nti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, gadrabho nāma saṅkārakūṭepi catukkepi siṅghāṭakepi gāmadvārepi thusarāsimhipi yattha katthaci sayati, na sayanabahulo hoti, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena tiṇasanthārepi paṇṇasanthārepi kaṭṭhamañcakepi chamāyapi yattha katthaci cammakhaṇḍaṃ pattharitvā yattha katthaci sayitabbaṃ, na sayanabahulena bhavitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, gadrabhassa ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, bhagavatā devātidevena ‘kaliṅgarūpadhānā, bhikkhave, etarahi mama sāvakā viharanti appamattā ātāpino padhānasmi’nti. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, therena sāriputtena dhammasenāpatināpi –
120“‘端坐床榻上,垂落于榻边;
‘‘‘Pallaṅkena nisinnassa, jaṇṇukenābhivassati;
121如此简朴简洁的住宿,乃是比丘所勤修的清净居所。’”

2二、「尊者那先,您说‘应当学习公鸡的五种特质’,请问这五种是哪几种呢?」「大王,就像公鸡会按时歇息,同样的,修行禅法的人应当按时清理寺院长院,准备好饮水和食物,照料好身体,沐浴后顶礼佛塔,前去谒见资深比丘,再按时进入空闲屋安住。大王,这就是应当学习的公鸡第一种特质。
2. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘kukkuṭassa pañca aṅgāni gahetabbānī’ti yaṃ vadesi, katamāni tāni pañca aṅgāni gahetabbānī’’ti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, kukkuṭo kālena samayena paṭisallīyati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena kālena samayeneva cetiyaṅgaṇaṃ sammajjitvā pānīyaṃ paribhojanīyaṃ upaṭṭhapetvā sarīraṃ paṭijaggitvā nahāyitvā cetiyaṃ vanditvā vuḍḍhānaṃ bhikkhūnaṃ dassanāya gantvā kālena samayena suññāgāraṃ pavisitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, kukkuṭassa paṭhamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
111其次,大王,公鸡于时辰未到时起立;犹如是,大王,修行者依戒律于时辰前起立,清理寺院,备饮食水,照顾身体,顶礼佛塔,复归空寂居室,此即大王,公鸡的第二肢。
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, kukkuṭo kālena samayeneva vuṭṭhāti. Evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena kālena samayeneva vuṭṭhahitvā cetiyaṅgaṇaṃ sammajjitvā pānīyaṃ paribhojanīyaṃ upaṭṭhapetvā sarīraṃ paṭijaggitvā cetiyaṃ vanditvā punadeva suññāgāraṃ pavisitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, kukkuṭassa dutiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
112其次,大王,公鸡勤于扒掘土地,揭露地面。犹如是,大王,修行者依律修观,反复察看谨守修持,保持身心正直不为饮酒淫欲、妆饰装饰所染,坚守此身得以安住,远离伤害,辅佑出家行持。且发愿弃绝旧病苦,不生新苦,未来之行庄严无垢,清净安住于简朴居所。此即大王,公鸡的第三肢。此段乃世尊与天帝所宣说——
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, kukkuṭo pathaviṃ khaṇitvā khaṇitvā ajjhohāraṃ ajjhoharati. Evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena paccavekkhitvā paccavekkhitvā ajjhohāraṃ ajjhoharitabbaṃ ‘neva davāya na madāya na maṇḍanāya na vibhūsanāya, yāvadeva imassa kāyassa ṭhitiyā yāpanāya vihiṃsūparatiyā brahmacariyānuggahāya, iti purāṇañca vedanaṃ paṭihaṅkhāmi navañca vedanaṃ na uppādessāmi, yātrā ca me bhavissati anavajjatā ca phāsuvihāro cā’ti. Idaṃ, mahārāja, kukkuṭassa tatiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, bhagavatā devātidevena –
127『如同在灌木丛中,幼嫩的禽肉被鸦鸟涂抹双眼般,』
‘‘‘Kantāre puttamaṃsaṃva, akkhassabbhañjanaṃ yathā;
128『也是这样,上食物,正当养生以供生活所须。』
Evaṃ āhari āhāraṃ, yāpanatthamamucchito’ti.
113『又如是,大王,鸡与有眼者,夜间皆为盲。大王啊,修行者在修习禅法时,当如盲者之盲,如此而行,即使身处林野、牧场、聚落间,饭食施与之处,夜晚诸色声香味触受之境,应如盲聋哑之无知,勿执相缘,勿取假义。这是鸡的第四肢,应取此义。此言乃由长老玛哈咖咤那所说:』
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, kukkuṭo sacakkhukopi rattiṃ andho hoti. Evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena anandheneva andhena viya bhavitabbaṃ, araññepi gocaragāme piṇḍāya carantenapi rajanīyesu rūpasaddagandharasaphoṭṭhabbadhammesu andhena badhirena mūgena viya bhavitabbaṃ, na nimittaṃ gahetabbaṃ, nānubyañjanaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, kukkuṭassa catutthaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, therena mahākaccāyanena –
130『眼明者当如盲,耳聪者如聋;』
‘Cakkhumāssa yathā andho, sotavā badhiro yathā;
131『智慧者如哑,力量者如弱;』
Paññavāssa yathā mūgo, balavā dubbaloriva;
132『当自身起毛病时,宜卧于床榻。』
Attaatthe samuppanne, sayetha matasāyika’nti.
114其次,大王,公鸡即使全身被尖锐的刺棒芒果树的棘刺刺满,也不能离开自己的巢穴。同样的,大王,即使修行者按照修行者的行为做了布施、做了戒律、行了分教、为人指示、宣说法义等,多方努力修持,也不可不具足正念用心顾念这件事。因为,大王,修行者应当以此正念用心常守家园。这一点,大王,应如经由世尊开示:世尊说,诸比丘,当知哪一种比丘的住处可视为贪欲之境?这就是四念处。又如长老沙利弗与法军军长所说——
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, kukkuṭo leḍḍudaṇḍalaguḷamuggarehi paripātiyantopi sakaṃ gehaṃ na vijahati. Evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena cīvarakammaṃ karontenapi navakammaṃ karontenapi vattappaṭivattaṃ karontenapi uddisantenapi uddisāpentenapi yoniso manasikāro na vijahitabbo, sakaṃ kho panetaṃ, mahārāja, yogino gehaṃ, yadidaṃ yoniso manasikāro . Idaṃ, mahārāja, kukkuṭassa pañcamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ . Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, bhagavatā devātidevena ‘ko ca, bhikkhave, bhikkhuno gocaro sako pettiko visayo? Yadidaṃ cattāro satipaṭṭhānā’ti. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, therena sāriputtena dhammasenāpatināpi –
134‘正如犀牛一般,公象不摇动其芒角,
‘‘‘Yathā sudanto mātaṅgo, sakaṃ soṇḍaṃ na maddati;
135知晓食物的好坏,了知自己的所说所作。
Bhakkhābhakkhaṃ vijānāti, attano vuttikappanaṃ.
136‘佛子亦然,不应怠慢,必须专心致志,
‘‘‘Tatheva buddhaputtena, appamattena vā pana;
137不可忘怀如来的真实教法。’”
Jinavacanaṃ na madditabbaṃ, manasikāravaruttama’’’nti.

3. Kalandakaṅgapañho
3三、“尊者那迦塞那所言‘应取考验者之一’,何为该考验者?”“如大王所知,考验者在反击时,先撕破脚指环,杵成尖刺,以此角刺击敌人。同样,大王,修行者在战胜烦恼时,当破除念处的结,乃至拥护所有烦恼应以念处之刺刺击粉碎。此者,大王,即为应取考验者之一。其意,乃是长老朱罗般跋卡所言——
3. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘kalandakassa ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabba’nti yaṃ vadesi, katamaṃ taṃ ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabba’’nti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, kalandako paṭisattumhi opatante naṅguṭṭhaṃ papphoṭetvā mahantaṃ katvā teneva naṅguṭṭhalaguḷena paṭisattuṃ paṭibāhati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena kilesasattumhi opatante satipaṭṭhānalaguḷaṃ papphoṭetvā mahantaṃ katvā teneva satipaṭṭhānalaguḷena sabbakilesā paṭibāhitabbā. Idaṃ, mahārāja, kalandakassa ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, therena cūḷapanthakena –
141「当烦恼生起时,应以普遍的善法来摧毁它;
‘Yadā kilesā opatanti, sāmaññaguṇadhaṃsanā;
142并且应以念处修习的剑不断杀除它。」
Satipaṭṭhānalaguḷena, hantabbā te punappuna’’’nti.

4. Dīpiniyaṅgapañho
4四、世尊,您说‘持剑者应把剑的某一部分拿起来’,请问这‘剑的某一部分’究竟为何?答曰:「如大王,持剑人确实紧握胎儿般的剑柄,不使其重复伤害人身。比喻瑜伽修行者,理应明智地思惟辗转轮回中生死相续、煎熬分离、灭尽衰亡、轮回痛苦、恶道纷乱,进而生起‘今生后世不再都续’的坚定觉悟。此即所谓持剑者应取其一部分。此事世尊已言于诸天神众多的结集经律中,即《富饶牧童经》云:
4. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘dīpiniyā ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabba’nti yaṃ vadesi, katamaṃ taṃ ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabba’’nti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, dīpinī sakiṃ yeva gabbhaṃ gaṇhāti, na punappunaṃ purisaṃ upeti? Evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena āyatiṃ paṭisandhiṃ uppattiṃ gabbhaseyyaṃ cutiṃ bhedaṃ khayaṃ vināsaṃ saṃsārabhayaṃ duggatiṃ visamaṃ sampīḷitaṃ disvā ‘punabbhave nappaṭisandahissāmī’ti yoniso manasikāro karaṇīyo. 5. Dīpikaṅgapañho
5五、世尊,您说‘持灯者应拿灯的两部分’,请问这两部分为何?答曰:「如大王,持灯者在森林中依凭草堆、木堆、山坡安置灯火并携之而行;喻瑜伽修行者亦应守护离欲清净的孤寂之处,如林木根基、山谷岩洞、洞穴幽室、树荫蔽处、旷野空旷地、疾风扬沙处、人体卧具等隐秘之境。如此处所养护离独处时,瑜伽修士随之达成六种超越而成就如意之定境。此即所谓持灯者应取其首要部分。世尊又于比丘集摄法藏中有言——
5. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘dīpikassa dve aṅgāni gahetabbānī’ti yaṃ vadesi, katamāni tāni dve aṅgāni gahetabbānī’’ti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, dīpiko araññe tiṇagahanaṃ vā vanagahanaṃ vā pabbatagahanaṃ vā nissāya nilīyitvā mige gaṇhāti, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena vivekaṃ sevitabbaṃ araññaṃ rukkhamūlaṃ pabbataṃ kandaraṃ giriguhaṃ susānaṃ vanapatthaṃ abbhokāsaṃ palālapuñjaṃ appasaddaṃ appanigghosaṃ vijanavātaṃ manussarāhaseyyakaṃ paṭisallānasāruppaṃ; vivekaṃ sevamāno hi, mahārāja, yogī yogāvacaro nacirasseva chaḷabhiññāsu ca vasibhāvaṃ pāpuṇāti. Idaṃ, mahārāja, dīpikassa paṭhamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, therehi dhammasaṅgāhakehi –

152『如是此佛之子,修习禅定与内观智慧,』
Tathevāyaṃ buddhaputto, yuttayogo vipassako;
153『入林之后,取其究竟果报。』
Araññaṃ pavisitvāna, gaṇhāti phalamuttama’nti.
118『又,如大王,灯火若有猎物被杀,灯火因寒冷倒落,不应取食。大王,行者于是修习禅定之行,或以土施、叶施、花施、果实施、香料施、泥土施、灰尘施、牙根木施、口水施、四种随心施、蛇粥施、负担施、小腿摩擦施、医疗行为、使者之行、托钵托钵、行施之出缘、经书之学、天文之学、身体之学,或他林中修行、随佛教者,则不可取食被邪生心损害之食,譬犹灯火不取寒冷倒落之猎物。此当为灯火之第二义。此说者,是大王,为长老沙利专演法将军言:』

6六、「尊者那先,您说『应当取学龟的五种特质』,这五种要取学的特质是什么呢?」答:「大王,龟是水生生物,只在水中安住;同样的,大王,修瑜伽的行者,应当对一切有情、众生、人类怀持利益与悲悯心,以与慈心相应、广大、无量、无忿、无恚的心遍满整个世界而安住。大王,这是应当取学的龟的第一种特质。」
6. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘kummassa pañca aṅgāni gahetabbānī’ti yaṃ vadesi, katamāni tāni pañca aṅgāni gahetabbānī’’ti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, kummo udakacaro udakeyeva vāsaṃ kappeti, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena sabbapāṇabhūtapuggalānaṃ hitānukampinā mettāsahagatena cetasā vipulena mahaggatena appamāṇena averena abyāpajjena sabbāvantaṃ lokaṃ pharitvā viharitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, kummassa paṭhamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
120『其次,大王,铁匠若水中浮漂,见有人即潜没,大声叫喊「莫再见我」,同理,大王,修行者修习瑜伽,应使污染烦恼在终结之处沉没,深刻斥责「勿令我见烦恼复起」。此为铁匠应取之第二肢。
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, kummo udake uppilavanto sīsaṃ ukkhipitvā yadi koci passati, tattheva nimujjati gāḷhamogāhati ‘mā maṃ te puna passeyyu’nti, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena kilesesu opatantesu ārammaṇasare nimujjitabbaṃ gāḷhamogāhitabbaṃ ‘mā maṃ kilesā puna passeyyu’nti. Idaṃ, mahārāja, kummassa dutiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
121『其次,大王,铁匠出水暖身,同理,大王,修行者因修习瑜伽,安住坐卧行诸处,调伏心念,正确精进,亦应温煦心意。此为铁匠应取之第三肢。
‘‘Puna caparaṃ , mahārāja, kummo udakato nikkhamitvā kāyaṃ otāpeti, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena nisajjaṭṭhānasayanacaṅkamato mānasaṃ nīharitvā sammappadhāne mānasaṃ otāpetabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, kummassa tatiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
122『其次,大王,铁匠掘地独居,同理,大王,修行者舍弃因缘所有利养,远离世俗大林、深山、洞穴、岩穴、幽静安住,无声无响,面对平静隐秘之处而安身。此为铁匠应取之第四肢。以上所述,皆是以长老弟子梵难达子为师时所演说。』
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, kummo pathaviṃ khaṇitvā vivitte vāsaṃ kappeti, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena lābhasakkārasilokaṃ pajahitvā suññaṃ vivittaṃ kānanaṃ vanapatthaṃ pabbataṃ kandaraṃ giriguhaṃ appasaddaṃ appanigghosaṃ pavivittamogāhitvā vivitte yeva vāsaṃ upagantabbaṃ. 165『清静无漏,远离众生,住于树下蚁穴之处;』
‘‘‘Vivittaṃ appanigghosaṃ, vāḷamiganisevitaṃ;
166『比丘应以此为坐处,修习隐居之事。』
Seve senāsanaṃ bhikkhu, paṭisallānakāraṇā’ti.
123『其次,大王,猎人行走在野外时,若见何物,或闻何声,便会将额头贴于五根指合处,安静无声,独自伫立护体。如是,大王,瑜伽行者凭禅定修持,于各处色声香味触法遭遇时,护持意门不启二门,以心闭护门,守护身心,凭正念正知修持出离圣行。此为,大王,猎人之第五肢,须当持守。此义,诸天如佛所说经中,犹如猎人喻经中,言说如是:』
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, kummo cārikaṃ caramāno yadi kañci passati vā, saddaṃ suṇāti vā, soṇḍipañcamāni aṅgāni sake kapāle nidahitvā appossukko tuṇhībhūto tiṭṭhati kāyamanurakkhanto, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena sabbattha rūpasaddagandharasaphoṭṭhabbadhammesu āpatantesu chasu dvāresu saṃvarakavāṭaṃ anugghāṭetvā mānasaṃ samodahitvā saṃvaraṃ katvā satena sampajānena vihātabbaṃ samaṇadhammaṃ anurakkhamānena. 7七、『尊者那先所言“应持一支之义”,何者为一支应持之物?答:如大王所知,竹管随风向下吹,不随他向而转移。瑜伽行者也是这样,依佛所说新兴九支法,顺理而行,依法而住,守护圣法,研习修持此圣行。此即为大王,竹管一支应持之义。尊者拉胡喇已如是宣说:』
7. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘vaṃsassa ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabba’nti yaṃ vadesi, katamaṃ taṃ ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabba’’nti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, vaṃso yattha vāto, tattha anulometi, nāññatthamanudhāvati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena yaṃ buddhena bhagavatā bhāsitaṃ navaṅgaṃ satthu sāsanaṃ, taṃ anulomayitvā kappiye anavajje ṭhatvā samaṇadhammaṃ yeva pariyesitabbaṃ. 173『九节经语,持守无间断;应在无过失中,坚固坚定,勇猛调伏。』
‘‘‘Navaṅgaṃ buddhavacanaṃ, anulometvāna sabbadā;
174『应于恰当时机,坚立无过,努力精进,断除外缘障碍。』

8. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘cāpassa ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabba’nti yaṃ vadesi, katamaṃ taṃ ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabba’’nti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, cāpo sutacchito namito yāvaggamūlaṃ samakameva anunamati nappaṭitthambhati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena theranavamajjhimasamakesu anunamitabbaṃ nappaṭipharitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, cāpassa ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, bhagavatā devātidevena vidhura [puṇṇaka] jātake –
178答曰:「大王,如法如律,竹杖整齐,杖头紧抱根部,正稳勿使倒斜。诸瑜伽士于瑜伽行处,应如是谨守,长老中等伙伴,不可移转破坏。此即竹杖一节也。大王,此言出自世尊方便天神贤者助缘本生,经云:
‘‘‘Cāpovūnudaro dhīro, vaṃso vāpi pakampaye ;
179『智者持杖,能振根茎;杖不可逆转,以居王宫。』」
Paṭilomaṃ na vatteyya, sa rājavasatiṃ vase’’’ti.
180『智者持杖如护满腹,杖亦有力振根基;逆转不得正居处,于王宫中安住之。』

9. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘vāyasassa dve aṅgāni gahetabbānī’ti yaṃ vadesi, katamāni tāni dve aṅgāni gahetabbānī’’ti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, vāyaso āsaṅkitaparisaṅkito yattappayatto carati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena āsaṅkitaparisaṅkitena yattapayattena upaṭṭhitāya satiyā saṃvutehi indriyehi caritabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, vāyasassa paṭhamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
127九、乌鸦之特质问
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, vāyaso yaṃ kiñci bhojanaṃ disvā ñātīhi saṃvibhajitvā bhuñjati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena ye te lābhā dhammikā dhammaladdhā antamaso pattapariyāpannamattampi, tathārūpehi lābhehi paṭivibhattabhoginā bhavitabbaṃ sīlavantehi sabrahmacārīhi. Idaṃ, mahārāja, vāyasassa dutiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, therena sāriputtena dhammasenāpatinā –
184「尊者那伽舍那,尔言‘风者有二节当执’者,此二节何也?」
‘‘‘Sace me upanāmenti, yathāladdhaṃ tapassino;
185答曰:「大王,如风生起,生生相续,至所应至,如是瑜伽士于瑜伽行处,应随念守护,以感触相续为本,调御管护诸根。大王,此即风者第一节也。」
Sabbe saṃvibhajitvāna, tato bhuñjāmi bhojana’’’nti.
186“又复,尊敬的大王,有这样一种生活方式:当人们看到食物时,将其与亲属分享食用。修行者在修习禅定的过程中,所获得的合法利益和禅定所得,即使只达到包围黑暗的程度,也应当被那些具有善德、持守戒律、同修戒行者所分别享用。这是,尊敬的大王,应当采取的第二种方式。以上所述,是由长老沙利弗,法军统帅所说的——

10. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘makkaṭassa dve aṅgāni gahetabbānī’ti yaṃ vadesi, katamāni tāni dve aṅgāni gahetabbānī’’ti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, makkaṭo vāsamupagacchanto tathārūpe okāse mahatimahārukkhe pavivitte sabbaṭṭhakasākhe bhīruttāṇe vāsamupagacchati, evameva kho, mahārāja , yoginā yogāvacarena lajjiṃ pesalaṃ sīlavantaṃ kalyāṇadhammaṃ bahussutaṃ dhammadharaṃ vinayadharaṃ piyaṃ garubhāvanīyaṃ vattāraṃ vacanakkhamaṃ ovādakaṃ viññāpakaṃ sandassakaṃ samādapakaṃ samuttejakaṃ sampahaṃsakaṃ evarūpaṃ kalyāṇamittaṃ ācariyaṃ nissāya viharitabbaṃ. ‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, makkaṭo rukkhe yeva carati tiṭṭhati nisīdati, yadi niddaṃ okkamati, tattheva rattiṃ vāsamanubhavati. Evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena pavanābhimukhena bhavitabbaṃ, pavane yeva ṭhānacaṅkamanisajjāsayanaṃ niddaṃ okkamitabbaṃ, tattheva satipaṭṭhānamanubhavitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, makkaṭassa dutiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, therena sāriputtena dhammasenāpatinā –

‘‘‘Caṅkamantopi tiṭṭhanto, nisajjāsayanena vā;
19110.“尊敬的那伽仙人,您所说‘猴子应当采取两种方式’时,这两种方式分别是什么?“尊敬的大王,就像猴子去栖息处,在大树枝条稠密繁茂处分散,因恐惧而去栖息,修行者在禅定修习中,理应依凭无愧羞耻、纯洁持戒、善法多闻、法行持守、戒律护持、受人喜爱、恭敬庄重、言语端正、有益善护、善于教导、明示启发、启发觉悟、引导禅定、激励振奋、能令灭除妄想的这样的善友和老师而住。这是,尊敬的大王,猴子应当采取的第一种方式。”

192“又,尊敬的大王,猴子在树上活动、站立、坐卧,若入睡,也是在那儿睡觉。修行者亦然,应当面向风,住于风中,应当在此处来回走动、安坐、睡觉,亦应依止念处而证得境界。这是,尊敬的大王,猴子应当采取的第二种方式。以上是由长老沙利弗,法军统帅所说的——

202『世尊,那先尊者说“为了利益,须执持一法”,此“一法”为何?』回答曰:『大王,如拉布拉草蔓或树枝上依附尖端而渐渐生长,修行者亦用心念专注于禅定修习而想让阿拉汉果增长。此乃一法应当取持。此事由法军领袖长老沙利班所说,故大王应当知之。』

‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, padumaṃ appamattakenapi anilena eritaṃ calati. Evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena appamattakesupi kilesesu saṃyamo karaṇīyo, bhayadassāvinā viharitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, padumassa tatiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, bhagavatā devātidevena ‘aṇumattesu vajjesu bhayadassāvī samādāya sikkhati sikkhāpadesū’ti.
209二、尊者那先,请问“应取莲花三部”为何三部?”“尊敬的世尊,莲花由水中诞生,处于水中滋生,未曾离开水面,如是,尊敬的世尊,修行人于修行法、家族、团体中,因得利、名誉、尊敬、享用等之条件,皆不能有缺漏。此为莲花之第一部,应当捉取者。
Padumaṅgapañho dutiyo.
210再者,尊敬的世尊,莲花露水初生而立。正如是,尊敬的世尊,修行人应于胜义理中,摄持广大境界而坚立不移。此为莲花之第二部,应当捉取者。

3「又如是,大王,即使是未经过精细除尘的泥土,尚且因风吹动而起浮移。大王,行者亦应如是于瑜伽法训中,慎重持守于烦恼上,以觉知见除怖畏,得安住。此处,大王,当取泥土的第三层。依世尊与天众所说,即谓『于微细微尘之中,经由怖畏觉知而修习戒律』。」

261『其次,国王陛下,大海满载九种水源:恒河、牟尼罗河、阿迟罗伐提河、沙阇大地以及其它百千河流,海洋长年蓄满水流,水位不溢出。国王陛下,如修行者为利益生存,积累修学戒律之边,虽聚集但不得违犯。此即大海的第四部分,须加以掌握。以上所述,国王陛下,是由世尊乃复天人言——』
‘‘‘Aggi yathā tiṇakaṭṭhaṃ dahanto, na tappati sāgaro vā nadīhi;
262『譬如,国王陛下,大海本性稳固,水位永远不会溢出,修行者所受具足戒律,于其生活利益面上亦不可逾越。』
Evampi ce paṇḍitā rājaseṭṭha, sutvā na tappanti subhāsitenā’’’ti.
263其次,大王,广大无边之大海,虽有众多支流如恒河、阿耆尼河、阿迟罗河、莎罗弗摩地河等,以及天际雨水滴流,亦不能充满。大王,修行者虽勤行修习瑜伽法,广种多闻询问,持闻,记忆观照,分别详察法戒,断灭烦恼,探究经典文句词意,诵读章句,分解字义,精研新帕人之教法,虽悉心听闻,亦难穷尽明了。大王,当取此广大无边大海为第五星辰。以上所述,是世尊从天神忉利天听闻《须陀摩子本生经》的说法。

‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, pathavī nirantarā akhaṇḍacchiddā asusirā bahalā ghanā vitthiṇṇā, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena nirantaramakhaṇḍacchiddamasusirabahalaghanavitthiṇṇasīlena bhavitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, pathaviyā tatiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
161『长老,汝说「土有五种部分应当取用」,所言的五种部分为何?』答:『如陛下,土地上种种所用之物,如石灰、麝香、乳香、檀香、玫瑰等,涂抹于皮肤、头发、身体、眼睛、骨骼、筋腱、肌肉、关节等处;如是,陛下,行者在修习瑜伽时,应取用土地的这些部分,以得利得益、声誉、夸赞、称誉,在各种苦乐之中皆能如是行持。此,即为土地之第一部分,所当取用也。』

162『其次,陛下,土地具备装饰与美化之用,含香气亦被蔽覆;如是,陛下,行者在瑜伽修行中,应当依装饰所及、具备净行香气者为用。此,即土地之第二部分,所当取用也。』
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, pathavī anunayappaṭighavippamuttā, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena anunayappaṭighavippamuttena pathavisamena cetasā viharitabbaṃ. 275『其次,陛下,土地常恒不断,无破碎,无生蜇,无虫害,厚重坚实。行者在瑜伽修习中,应作常恒不断、无破碎、无虫害、无生蜇、时而厚重坚实时之净行。此,即土地之第三部分,所当取用也。』
‘‘‘Ekañce bāhaṃ vāsiyā, tacche kupitamānasā ;
276『其次,陛下,土地涵盖村落通道、邻近城市城镇、树林山岳、谷地沼泽、池塘水潭、鸟兽鱼虫、男女人民等所有众生皆在其中。行者在瑜伽修习时,于劝化、教戒、宣示、示现、令发、激励、齐心、聚会、法义宣说中,亦须包含所有此等。此,即土地之第四部分,所当取用也。』

277「大王,土地应当借由不侵犯、不敌对的心而被安住,正如修行者通过避免侵害和敌对之行,心应如土地般安住。这里,大王,土地为五法中的第五部分。以上所说者,引自比丘尼小苏婆提,在僧众中闻达讷言曰——
‘‘‘Amusmiṃ paṭigho natthi, rāgo asmiṃ na vijjati;
278『有一方臂身处,被怒气所染;

166二、世尊,说:『拿取五者为五大法,应当取何五者?』世尊复答:「大王,如水维持纯净、清凉、不浊、不动摇的本质,修行者当透过去除炙热如火的缘象、去除浊秽杂染之物,使心净洁特质得以维持安定,如此应持守此洁净稳固之水质,此为水的第一法门,亦是五法之一。」
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, āpo bahujanapatthito, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena appicchasantuṭṭhapavivittapaṭisallānena satataṃ sabbalokamabhipatthitena bhavitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, āpassa catutthaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
167又次,大王,水具有凉爽的本性;同样,大王,修行者在修行生活中,应当以耐心、慈爱、关怀、悲愍,具足这些品质去对待一切众生。这是,大王,水的第二个特性,应当接受。

286又次,大王,水能使污秽净洁;同样,大王,修行者在修行生活中,无论在村落或林野中,对僧侣、教师、导师,不可有任何不正当行为,应全然尊敬,不加违犯。这是,大王,水的第三个特性,应当接受。
‘‘‘Varañce me ado sakka, sabbabhūtānamissara;
287又次,大王,水能极大地滋养生物;同样,大王,修行者在修行生活中,应当以减少欲望、心意满足、远离分别,恒常地护持一切世间。这是,大王,水的第四个特性,应当接受。
Na mano vā sarīraṃ vā, maṃ-kate sakka kassaci;
288又次,大王,水不会造成任何害处;同样,大王,修行者在修行生活中,断除私见纷争、纷扰嗔恚、内心疲惫、妄想执著之所生的恶业,不可作恶身语意的行为。这是,大王,水的第五个特性,应当接受。上述所说,大王,世尊在《天人无间经》中如此宣说——
Kadāci upahaññetha, etaṃ sakka varaṃ vare’’’ti.
289‘天帝萨咖对我如此说:诸有情皆属于我所;
Āpaṅgapañho dutiyo.
290既非念头,亦非身躯,天帝萨咖无人如此称谓我;’

3「有时应当摧毁,这是萨咖中的上卓者。」

‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, tejo sītaṃ paṭihanati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena vīriyasantāpatejaṃ abhijanetvā kilesā paṭihantabbā. Idaṃ, mahārāja, tejassa tatiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
171三、『世尊,纳迦赛那以为『应掌握光明的五种肢体』,请问这五种肢体为何?』答曰:『如大王,光明能燃烧稻草、干草、树枝和树皮,瑜伽士修习瑜伽时,内在或外在的烦恼,如喜好与厌恶等,应当用智慧之火燃尽。此为光明的第一肢体,须加以掌握。』
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, tejo anunayappaṭighavippamutto uṇhamabhijaneti, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena anunayappaṭighavippamuttena tejosamena cetasā viharitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, tejassa catutthaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
172『再者,大王,光明表现为怜悯。瑜伽士修习瑜伽时,不应激起对一切烦恼的慈悲。此为光明的第二肢体,须加以掌握。』
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, tejo andhakāraṃ vidhamitvā ālokaṃ dassayati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena avijjandhakāraṃ vidhamitvā ñāṇālokaṃ dassayitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, tejassa pañcamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, bhagavatā devātidevena sakaṃ puttaṃ rāhulaṃ ovadantena –
173『又,大王,光明能驱散寒冷。瑜伽士修习瑜伽时,应具足精进的热力,克服烦恼之障碍。此为光明的第三肢体,须加以掌握。』
‘Tejosamaṃ , rāhula, bhāvanaṃ bhāvehi, tejosamaṃ hi te, rāhula, bhāvanaṃ bhāvayato uppannā? Manāpāmanāpā phassā cittaṃ na pariyādāya ṭhassantī’’’ti.
297『再者,大王,光明能解除疼痛冲击。瑜伽士修习瑜伽时,心应凭借光明的力量,摆脱疼痛反感。此为光明的第四肢体,须加以掌握。』
Tejaṅgapañho tatiyo.
298『再者,大王,光明破除黑暗,示现光明。瑜伽士修习瑜伽时,应破除无明黑暗,展现智慧之光。此为光明的第五肢体,须加以掌握。以上所说,乃世尊从天神赛咖那儿以慈悲语音告诫其子罗睚罗的教诲。』
4. Vāyuṅgapañho
4「拉胡喇,应当修习与光明相称的修习,因修习与光明相称的修习而生起的,即是真实光明的修习。心不因欢喜与不欢喜、接触而动摇或动乱。」
4. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘vāyussa pañca aṅgāni gahetabbānī’ti yaṃ vadesi, katamāni tāni pañca aṅgāni gahetabbānī’’ti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, vāyu supupphitavanasaṇḍantaraṃ abhivāyati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena vimuttivarakusumapupphitārammaṇavanantare ramitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, vāyussa paṭhamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
175火支问第三。
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, vāyu dharaṇīruhapādapagaṇe mathayati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena vanantaragatena saṅkhāre vicinantena kilesā mathayitabbā. Idaṃ, mahārāja, vāyussa dutiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.

‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, vāyu ākāse carati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena lokuttaradhammesu mānasaṃ sañcārayitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, vāyussa tatiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
177「世尊,那先尊者,您说‘风有五个部分应当把持’,这五个部分究竟是什么呢?」
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, vāyu gandhaṃ anubhavati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena attano sīlavarasurabhigandho anubhavitabbo. Idaṃ, mahārāja, vāyussa catutthaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
178「大王,如同风在森林间花朵盛开的呼啸往来一样,大王,行者通过瑜伽修行,应当在被清净、花盛开的美妙林间安住欢喜。这是风的第一部分应当把持。」
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, vāyu nirālayo aniketavāsī, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena nirālayamaniketamasanthavena sabbattha vimuttena bhavitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, vāyussa pañcamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, bhagavatā devātidevena suttanipāte –
304「其次,大王,风在地面、树根、脚印群中振动一样,大王,行者通过瑜伽修行,应当在林中修习观照烦恼,令其息灭。这是风的第二部分应当把持。」
‘‘‘Santhavāto bhayaṃ jātaṃ, niketā jāyate rajo;
305「其次,大王,风在虚空中流动一样,大王,行者通过瑜伽修行,应当在超世法中令内心游行流转。这是风的第三部分应当把持。」
Aniketamasanthavaṃ, etaṃ ve munidassana’’’nti.
306「其次,大王,风感受香气一样,大王,行者通过瑜伽修行,应当感受自己道德清净、品行芬芳的香味。这是风的第四部分应当把持。」
Vāyuṅgapañho catuttho.
307「其次,大王,风无定所,无固定居所一样,大王,行者通过瑜伽修行,应当无所依缘,无有固定所住,以普遍自在为修习。这是风的第五部分应当把持。此语出自世尊及诸天尊者的经集。」

5『风烦恼生起,恐惧生于心所居处;』
5. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘pabbatassa pañca aṅgāni gahetabbānī’ti yaṃ vadesi, katamāni tāni pañca aṅgāni gahetabbānī’’ti ? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, pabbato acalo akampito asampavedhī, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena sammānane vimānane sakkāre asakkāre garukāre agarukāre yase ayase nindāya pasaṃsāya sukhe dukkhe iṭṭhāniṭṭhesu sabbattha rūpasaddagandharasaphoṭṭhabbadhammesu rajanīyesu na rajjitabbaṃ, dussanīyesu na dussitabbaṃ, muyhanīyesu na muyhitabbaṃ, na kampitabbaṃ na calitabbaṃ, pabbatena viya acalena bhavitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, pabbatassa paṭhamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, bhagavatā devātidevena –

1805. 山支问
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, pabbato thaddho na kenaci saṃsaṭṭho, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena thaddhena asaṃsaṭṭhena bhavitabbaṃ, na kenaci saṃsaggo karaṇīyo. Idaṃ, mahārāja, pabbatassa dutiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, bhagavatā devātidevena –
312第五:『尊者,您说“须当执取山的五个部分”,这五个部分究竟为何?』曰:『大王,如山坚固不动摇、不动摇且不能被刺穿者,从此观之,大王,修行者于修行方式、舍宅、尊敬不敬、尊重不尊重、赞誉非誉、苦乐、喜恶等诸所,无论声色香味触法之处,皆不可执缚、不可厌恶、不可迷惑、不可震动、不可移动,须如山般坚固不动。此为大王,当执持之山之第一部分。此说出者,为大王,是世尊对诸天魔王所言——
‘‘‘Asaṃsaṭṭhaṃ gahaṭṭhehi, anāgārehi cūbhayaṃ;
313『石块如一团坚石,风不能摇动;』
Anokasārimappicchaṃ, tamahaṃ brūmi brāhmaṇa’nti.
181『如是于非赞非贬间,智者不为所动。』
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, pabbate bījaṃ na virūhati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena sakamānase kilesā na virūhāpetabbā. Idaṃ, mahārāja, pabbatassa tatiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, therena subhūtinā –
315『其次,大王,山稳固而不动摇,不堕不散;如是,大王,修行者在所修行法上当坚固不散不得有所依赖。此为大王,当执持之山之第二部分。此说出者,为大王,世尊对诸天魔王所说——
‘‘‘Rāgūpasaṃhitaṃ cittaṃ, yadā uppajjate mama;
316『这与家庭生活的人不相应,对于在无住处者两者皆不合适;』
Sayaṃva paccavekkhāmi , ekaggo taṃ damemahaṃ.
317『我今天要说的是,不收取施舍的头发末,婆罗门啊。』
‘‘‘Rajjase rajanīye ca, dussanīye ca dussase;
318『又如是,尊大王,在山上种子不生长,正如尊大王,修行人以修行方法调伏恶心不应生。此为尊大王,山的第三部分应当掌握。以上由长老苏伐提所说,尊大王——』
Muyhase mohanīye ca, nikkhamassu vanā tuvaṃ.
319『『欲念所缠心,若生起于我;』
‘‘‘Visuddhānaṃ ayaṃ vāso, nimmalānaṃ tapassinaṃ;
320『我自反观察,专一制伏它。』
Mā kho visuddhaṃ dūsesi, nikkhamassu vanā tuva’nti.
182『夜之黑暗处,以及难见之前,堕落者不可亲近;』

322你应从迷乱与迷惑中出离,前往森林修行。

323这里是清净居所,乃苦行者纯净地;
Paññāpāsādamāruyha, asoko sokiniṃ pajaṃ;
324切勿玷污这净土,应当前往森林修行。
Pabbataṭṭhova bhūmaṭṭhe , dhīro bāle avekkhatī’ti.
183又如是,大王,山脉雄伟,正如大王,应当由修习者通过修行方法及智慧而登高。此为大王,山的第四部分应当把握。如世尊向天人所说——
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, pabbato anunnato anonato, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena unnatāvanati na karaṇīyā. Idaṃ, mahārāja, pabbatassa pañcamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, upāsikāya cūḷasubhaddāya sakasamaṇe parikittayamānāya –
326愚人粗心时,智慧者以正念唤醒,
‘‘‘Lābhena unnato loko, alābhena ca onato;
327断除愚痴忧伤,安慰悲苦众生;
Lābhālābhena ekatthā , tādisā samaṇā mamā’’’ti.
328比喻如山立于地,愚者却不远观。

‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, ākāso ananto appamāṇo aparimeyyo, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena anantasīlena aparimitañāṇena bhavitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, ākāsassa catutthaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
188六、世尊,龙军说:“空有五大部分应当取用”,此言何五大部分应当取用?答:“如,尊者,大王,空无遍及,行者修习之法应无遍染,应以无染净之法行持。此为空第一部分应当取用。

335又,尊者,大王,虚空如同冷暖交替遍行诸物,如是尊者,大王,行者修习之法应于行蕴念起“无常、苦、无我”的正念。此为空的第二部分应当取用。

190其次,大王,空非所有、不实、有不足,未契悟,如是,大王,行者应依修习之次第,于家族、族群、生计、住所、觉悟、缘起、诸垢染,处处应生离于所有,无所依止,未立、未觉之境。此,空之第五部分,应当了知。世尊以天神萨咖子,训诲其子拉胡喇言:『譬如,拉胡喇,空无处可立,尔当修习如空般心法,若尔修习如空心,则由所生之欢喜与不欢喜之触,令心安住。』

1937.「尊者那迦塞纳阿阇梨,尔言‘月有五部分应当知’者,此五部分何为?」答曰:「大王,如同月轮于盈亏之际渐渐增长。复如是,大王,行者应依教法戒律之修行,法入、止息、念处,根门之守护,饮食之节制,觉察之精进,而渐增月之善法。此,月之第一部分,应当了知。」

353‘‘其次,大王,太阳因惧怕罗睺而旋转行走,如是,大王,修行者依凭修行阶梯,针对恶业、恶趣、不善境界、陋劣苦境、业缠网罗,见恶见恶见多起纷乱杂乱、正见破损匮乏、堕入歧途、趋向邪道,见此类众生,应当生起大恐怖与忧惧之心。此为,太阳须得摄取第六支。
‘‘‘Tathā bhikkhu dhammadharo, avijjāpihitaṃ janaṃ;
354‘‘其次,大王,太阳显示吉凶善恶,如是,大王,修行者依凭修行阶梯,于根力、觉支、念处、专注、精进法,显示世间世外之法。此为,太阳须得摄取第七支。此语出自长老曼谷鼻所说——

372「又,大王,大轮王每日巡视四方大地,调查善恶是非,正如是,大王,修行者于修行法中应每日至少三处反省——‘我此日于此三处场合是否未犯过污秽?’此即大轮王应担负的第三部份。世尊如众天神所说于增支部──

389「再者,大王,鼬仅在附近寻觅活动;修行者亦应在这五取蕴中察觉生灭而修持,行五取蕴生灭的义理──色,即色的生起与灭尽,受,即受的生起与灭尽,想,即想的生起与灭尽,行,即行的生起与灭尽,识,即识的生起与灭尽。此为鼬所持第二部分。尊者Bhagavatā如天王所述:」

3「‘离此不远,应谨慎行,究竟何为义?’」
3. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘undūrassa ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabba’nti yaṃ vadesi, katamaṃ taṃ ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabba’’nti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, undūro itocito ca vicaranto āhārūpāsīsako yeva carati, evameva kho, mahārāja , yoginā yogāvacarena itocito ca vicarantena yoniso manasikārūpāsīsakeneva bhavitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, undūrassa ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, therena upasenena vaṅgantaputtena –
391‘当身处当下流转间,应在自身中寻得’。
‘‘‘Dhammāsīsaṃ karitvāna, viharanto vipassako;

394三、世尊告诉那先长老:‘伟大的国王啊,你云“应执一分于青蛙身上”,请问这“一分”为何?’答曰:‘正如伟大的国王啊,青蛙四处游走,眼观食物而生存,瑜伽行者亦应以智慧为眼,放逸中观念应心念远离,他需以正念观察而行。这即是,伟大的国王,应执青蛙身上之“一分”。此义是由年长长老上善弟子所述,如言:’
4. Vicchikaṅgapañho
4‘胸怀法义,行持观照如实;
4. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘vicchikassa ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabba’nti yaṃ vadesi, katamaṃ taṃ ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabba’’nti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, vicchiko naṅgulāvudho naṅgulaṃ ussāpetvā carati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena ñāṇāvudhena bhavitabbaṃ, ñāṇaṃ ussāpetvā viharitabbaṃ . Idaṃ, mahārāja, vicchikassa ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, therena upasenena vaṅgantaputtena –
396他永常安住,不为忧乱所动’。”
‘‘‘Ñāṇakhaggaṃ gahetvāna, viharanto vipassako;

399四、世尊问那先长老:‘你云“应执一分于壁虎身上”,此“一分”为何?’答曰:‘如伟大的国王,壁虎以指爪行走,抬起爪子自由移动,瑜伽行者亦应以智慧之利爪,举起智慧而修习禅悦。此即是,伟大的国王,应执壁虎身上之“一分”。此义为年长长老上善弟子所述,曰:’

5. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘nakulassa ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabba’nti yaṃ vadesi, katamaṃ taṃ ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabba’’nti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, nakulo uragamupagacchanto bhesajjena kāyaṃ paribhāvetvā uragamupagacchati gahetuṃ, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena kodhāghātabahulaṃ kalahaviggahavivādavirodhābhibhūtaṃ lokamupagacchantena mettābhesajjena mānasaṃ anulimpitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, nakulassa ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, therena sāriputtena dhammasenāpatinā –
401所有恐惧皆被解除,且在此有情中此生难以忍受。
‘‘‘Tasmā sakaṃ paresampi, kātabbā mettabhāvanā;
402蝎子特质之问第四。

403五、獴特质之问

404五、“尊者拿迦盛那,您所说‘拿库罗应执持一法的‘究竟是何一法应执持?’‘大王,譬如拿库罗向毒蛇接近时,以药物涂抹身体以防蛇咬,如同此理,大王,修行者在修行道路上,当以慈心妙药涂抹,净除充满忿恨激烈的争斗纷扰反对之世,保持慈心不染。在此,拿库罗应执持的一法即是此义。之前,如大王所闻,长老沙利弗尊者,此称法军统帅所说——
6. Jarasiṅgālaṅgapañho
6‘因此,对自己与他人皆应行慈心的培育;
6. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘jarasiṅgālassa dve aṅgāni gahetabbānī’ti yaṃ vadesi, katamāni tāni dve aṅgāni gahetabbānī’’ti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, jarasiṅgālo bhojanaṃ paṭilabhitvā ajigucchamāno yāvadatthaṃ āharayati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena bhojanaṃ paṭilabhitvā ajigucchamānena sarīrayāpanamattameva paribhuñjitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, jarasiṅgālassa paṭhamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, therena mahākassapena –
406以慈心遍及一切,此即佛陀的教法。’”
‘‘‘Senāsanamhā oruyha, gāmaṃ piṇḍāya pāvisiṃ;
407獴特质之问第五。
Bhuñjantaṃ purisaṃ kuṭṭhiṃ, sakkacca naṃ upaṭṭhahiṃ.
408六、老胡狼特质之问
‘‘‘So me pakkena hatthena, ālopaṃ upanāmayi;
409六、“尊者拿迦盛那,您所说‘狮子应执持两法’究竟是何二法应执持?”“大王,譬如狮子获取食物后,厌弃腐肉尽量采食鲜美食物,如是,大王,修行者在修行道路上,获得供养后应以养身维护为第一,有限度享用身体。此即大王,狮子应执持的第一法。之前,如大王所闻,长老摩揭陀尊者所说——
Ālopaṃ pakkhipantassa, aṅgulipettha chijjatha.
410‘从军营走出,进入村庄乞食;
‘‘‘Kuṭṭamūlañca nissāya, ālopaṃ taṃ abhuñjisaṃ;
411当他享用这个男子的疖肿时,应当谨慎地照顾他。
Bhuñjamāne vā bhutte vā, jegucchaṃ me na vijjatī’ti.
219『那人用他的手掌,轻轻擦拭疖肿;
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, jarasiṅgālo bhojanaṃ paṭilabhitvā na vicināti lūkhaṃ vā paṇītaṃ vāti, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena bhojanaṃ paṭilabhitvā na vicinitabbaṃ ‘lūkhaṃ vā paṇītaṃ vā sampannaṃ vā asampannaṃ vā’ti, yathāladdhena santussitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, jarasiṅgālassa dutiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, therena upasenena vaṅgantaputtena –
413当他擦拭疖肿时,应当切除指甲边缘。』
‘‘‘Lūkhenapi ca santusse, nāññaṃ patthe rasaṃ bahuṃ;
414『依靠疖肿的根部,我不应当去享用那个疖肿;
Rasesu anugiddhassa, jhāne na ramate mano;
415无论是吃着还是已经吃过的,我都不应当去享用它,因为我心中没有厌恶感。』
Itarītarena santuṭṭho , sāmaññaṃ paripūratī’’’ti.
416『此外,大王,杂缅猴吃到食物时,不会去辨别那些食物是污秽还是洁净;同样地,大王,对于瑜伽行者在瑜伽教导中得到的食物,也不应当去辨别“是污秽是洁净,是具足还是不具足”,而应当随所得而满足。这个,是大王,杂缅猴的第二个部位,应当取用。以上所说,是由长老乌帕塞那之子梵干陀所述,
Jarasiṅgālaṅgapañho chaṭṭho.
417即使是粗粝的饭食,也令满足,别无他味这么多;
7. Migaṅgapañho
7对于沉溺于味觉之人,禅定时心识难得安住;
7. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘migassa tīṇi aṅgāni gahetabbānī’ti yaṃ vadesi, katamāni tāni tīṇi aṅgāni gahetabbānī’’ti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, migo divā araññe carati, rattiṃ abbhokāse, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena divā araññe viharitabbaṃ, rattiṃ abbhokāse. Idaṃ, mahārāja, migassa paṭhamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
221他满足于别种别样的饮食,且以平常之食充足自己。」
‘‘Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, bhagavatā devātidevena lomahaṃsanapariyāye –
222老胡狼特质之问第六。
‘So kho ahaṃ, sāriputta, yā tā rattiyo sītā hemantikā antaraṭṭhakā himapātasamayā , tathārūpāsu rattīsu rattiṃ abbhokāse viharāmi, divā vanasaṇḍe. Gimhānaṃ pacchime māse divā abbhokāse viharāmi, rattiṃ vanasaṇḍe’ti.
2237. 鹿肢问
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, migo sattimhi vā sare vā opatante vañceti palāyati, na kāyamupaneti, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena kilesesu opatantesu vañcayitabbaṃ palāyitabbaṃ, na cittamupanetabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, migassa dutiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
224七、「尊者,龙军说:‘应当抓住猛兽的三肢’,这是你所说的,这三肢是什么,应当怎么抓取呢?」——回答说:「大王,如同猛兽白昼于森林中游走,夜晚栖伏穴居;大王,修习禅定的行者亦当如此,白昼在森林静处修习,夜晚栖伏洞穴。这是猛兽的第一肢,应当抓取。
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, migo manusse disvā yena vā tena vā palāyati ‘mā maṃ te addasaṃsū’ti, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena bhaṇḍanakalahaviggahavivādasīle dussīle kusīte saṅgaṇikārāme disvā yena vā tena vā palāyitabbaṃ ‘mā maṃ te addasaṃsu, ahañca te mā addasa’nti. Idaṃ, mahārāja, migassa tatiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, therena sāriputtena dhammasenāpatinā –
423这段话是世尊以天人尊者拉胡喇为说法时说的,
‘‘‘Mā me kadāci pāpiccho, kusīto hīnavīriyo;
424他说:『善逝哀叹说,舍利弗,那些寒冷的冬季夜晚,正值寒霜降时,我就在这等夜晚栖居林中;隆冬十二月白昼,我心也安住于林中,夜晚则在林中小穴静居。』
Appassuto anācāro, sammato ahu katthacī’’’ti.
425又如是,大王,猎豹若在森林或山谷中遇到逃窜之物,便逃走不紧跟;大王啊,修行人以修行戒律观察烦恼增盛之境时,当对这些增盛之境逃避放逸,不可紧随依缘。此为,大王,猎豹应当持守的第二个部分。
Migaṅgapañho sattamo.
426又如是,大王,猎豹见到人类时,不论以何种方式逃离,心中便想『不要让你们发现我』;大王啊,修行人以修行戒律观察妨碍正法破坏戒律、恶劣不善种族的众生时,见到应该逃避的对象,便应心念『不要让你们见到我,我也不看你们』。此为,大王,猎豹应当持守的第三个部分。这是由长老沙利弗,法军领袖说的:
8. Gorūpaṅgapañho
8『愿我永不为恶婬。如是,恶行、怯懦之人;
8. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘gorūpassa cattāri aṅgāni gahetabbānī’ti yaṃ vadesi, katamāni tāni cattāri aṅgāni gahetabbānī’’ti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, gorūpo sakaṃ gehaṃ na vijahati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena sako kāyo na vijahitabbo ‘aniccucchādanaparimaddanabhedanavikiraṇaviddhaṃsanadhammo ayaṃ kāyo’ti. Idaṃ, mahārāja, gorūpassa paṭhamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
226不清洁、不端正,终究不被接受。』
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, gorūpo ādinnadhuro sukhadukkhena dhuraṃ vahati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena ādinnabrahmacariyena sukhadukkhena yāva jīvitapariyādānā āpāṇakoṭikaṃ brahmacariyaṃ caritabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, gorūpassa dutiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
227鹿肢问为第七。
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, gorūpo chandena ghāyamāno pānīyaṃ pivati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena ācariyupajjhāyānaṃ anusiṭṭhi chandena pemena pasādena ghāyamānena paṭiggahetabbā. Idaṃ, mahārāja, gorūpassa tatiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
2288. 牛肢问
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, gorūpo yena kenaci vāhiyamāno vahati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena theranavamajjhimabhikkhūnampi gihiupāsakassāpi ovādānusāsanī sirasā sampaṭicchitabbā. Idaṃ, mahārāja, gorūpassa catutthaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, therena sāriputtena dhammasenāpatinā –
431八、“尊者那先,您所说‘牛身应持守四个部分’,这四部分是什么呢?”“如是,大王,牛不像家畜舍宅随意出走,修行人以修行戒律观察时,更不可放逸身躯,须知『此身是无常遮敷、改变、破坏、消散构成之法』。此为,大王,牛身当守的第一部分。
‘‘‘Tadahu pabbajito santo, jātiyā sattavassiko;
432又如是,大王,牛负重时承受苦乐,如是,大王,修行人以修行戒律观察不取五欲时,应于生死轮回苦乐之间珍重不取的梵行生活。此为,大王,牛身应守第二个部分。
Sopi maṃ anusāseyya, sampaṭicchāmi matthake .
433『复次,大王,体格庞大的牛以欲念受伤时饮水,瑜伽士亦应以诸欲、爱乐、欢喜、信顺之心,受持教师所传授之修行法门。此者,大王,牛身体之第三肢体也当执取。』
‘‘‘Tibbaṃ chandañca pemañca, tasmiṃ disvā upaṭṭhape;
434『复次,大王,体格庞大的牛由他人引领驮载,瑜伽士亦应如是,在与长老、中年比丘及居士的教诲规戒中,以顶礼之心恭敬具足。此者,大王,牛身体之第四肢体也当执取。此言出自长老沙利佛,法军统领所说——』
Ṭhapeyyācariyaṭṭhāne, sakkacca naṃ punappuna’’’nti.
435『“彼时弃家出家的圣者,七十岁生;』
Gorūpaṅgapañho aṭṭhamo.
436『他亦曾劝我,礼敬于其上首。』
9. Varāhaṅgapañho
9『具足坚定之欲及爱,见此而勤行守护;』
9. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘varāhassa dve aṅgāni gahetabbānī’ti yaṃ vadesi, katamāni tāni dve aṅgāni gahetabbānī’’ti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, varāho santattakaṭhite gimhasamaye sampatte udakaṃ upagacchati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena dosena citte āluḷitakhalitavibbhantasantatte sītalāmatapaṇītamettābhāvanaṃ upagantabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, varāhassa paṭhamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
230『愿其安住师尊所立之地,勿复再犯。”』
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, varāho cikkhallamudakamupagantvā nāsikāya pathaviṃ khaṇitvā doṇiṃ katvā doṇikāya sayati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena mānase kāyaṃ nikkhipitvā ārammaṇantaragatena sayitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, varāhassa dutiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, therena piṇḍolabhāradvājena –

‘‘‘Kāye sabhāvaṃ disvāna, vicinitvā vipassako;
4409. 猪肢问
Ekākiyo adutiyo, seti ārammaṇantare’’’ti.
441世尊,您说‘必须把野猪的两只肢体拿住’,这两肢体究竟是什么呢?答曰:大王,如同野猪在山林间遇见狮子时,去触及水源般,瑜伽士在修习禅定、受制于烦恼所搅扰不净而分裂心念时,应亲近调伏慈心修习。这便是野猪的第一肢体,应当抓住。
Varāhaṅgapañho navamo.
442又如大王,野猪到池塘饮水,用鼻子刨土,掘出坑洞,卧伏于坑旁。这正如瑜伽士在修习禅定时,把身体放下,进入入定阶段静卧。这便是野猪的第二肢体,应当抓住。此义,是长老宾多纳帕拉德瓦迦所说:
10. Hatthiṅgapañho
10『观察身体现象本性,内观破达者;独处不与人同,入定期间云。』
10. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘hatthissa pañca aṅgāni gahetabbānī’ti yaṃ vadesi, katamāni tāni pañca aṅgāni gahetabbānī’’ti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, hatthī nāma caranto yeva pathaviṃ dāleti, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena kāyaṃ sammasamāneneva sabbe kilesā dāletabbā. Idaṃ, mahārāja, hatthissa paṭhamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
232『独处、无伴,安住于另一所缘境。』
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, hatthī sabbakāyeneva apaloketi, ujukaṃ yeva pekkhati, na disāvidisā viloketi, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena sabbakāyena apalokinā bhavitabbaṃ, na disāvidisā viloketabbā, na uddhaṃ ulloketabbaṃ, na adho oloketabbaṃ, yugamattapekkhinā bhavitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, hatthissa dutiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
233猪肢问为第九。
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, hatthī anibaddhasayano gocarāyamanugantvā na tameva desaṃ vāsatthamupagacchati, na dhuvappatiṭṭhālayo, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena anibaddhasayanena bhavitabbaṃ, nirālayena piṇḍāya gantabbaṃ, yadi passati vipassako manuññaṃ patirūpaṃ ruciradese bhavaṃ maṇḍapaṃ vā rukkhamūlaṃ vā guhaṃ vā pabbhāraṃ vā, tattheva vāsamupagantabbaṃ, dhuvappatiṭṭhālayo na kātabbo. Idaṃ, mahārāja, hatthissa tatiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
23410. 哈廷嘎问
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, hatthī udakaṃ ogāhitvā sucivimalasītalasalilaparipuṇṇaṃ kumuduppalapadumapuṇḍarīkasañchannaṃ mahatimahantaṃ padumasaraṃ ogāhitvā kīḷati gajavarakīḷaṃ, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena sucivimalavippasannamanāviladhammavaravāripuṇṇaṃ vimuttikusumasañchannaṃ mahāsatipaṭṭhānapokkharaṇiṃ ogāhitvā ñāṇena saṅkhārā odhunitabbā vidhunitabbā, yogāvacarakīḷā kīḷitabbā. Idaṃ, mahārāja, hatthissa catutthaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
235世尊,您说‘必须把大象的五只肢体拿住’,这五肢体究竟是什么呢?答曰:大王,如同大象行走时踏破大地,瑜伽士亦应以正念贯注全身,彻底破除一切烦恼。这便是大象的第一肢体,应当抓住。
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, hatthī sato pādaṃ uddharati, sato pādaṃ nikkhipati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena satena sampajānena pādaṃ uddharitabbaṃ, satena sampajānena pādaṃ nikkhipitabbaṃ, abhikkamapaṭikkame samiñjanapasāraṇe sabbattha satena sampajānena bhavitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, hatthissa pañcamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, bhagavatā devātidevena saṃyuttanikāyavare –
448又如大王,大象用全身观看,视线直射,目光不四顾,瑜伽士亦应以全身观照,不可漫无目的东张西望,上下左右皆不可乱看,应双目平视专注。这便是大象的第二肢体,应当抓住。
‘‘‘Kāyena saṃvaro sādhu, sādhu vācāya saṃvaro;
449又复,世尊,象若未束缚,卧于地上,群象随行,仍不专于一处栖息,不固定长住,瑜伽行者亦应以同法为行,即应无所束缚地卧,不依赖僧饼乞食处;若见有慧眼者,于世间美好、适宜人居之地,如有庙堂、树根、洞穴或岩石壁,亦当即往居住,不能安住固定场所。此为象之第三肢体(行动)应当取用。
Manasā saṃvaro sādhu, sādhu sabbattha saṃvaro;
450又,世尊,象取水沐浴,并戏水于清净、纯洁、凉爽之水中,水面盛开众多莲花、蒲叶、莲花瓣,象嬉戏于莲叶之上,称为象戏。瑜伽行者亦应如此,以清净纯洁、心明觉照、不染烦恼之莲花所覆之大觉水池,行智慧而净除诸行,应以智慧戏耍观照。此为象之第四肢体应当取用。
Sabbattha saṃvuto lajjī, rakkhitoti pavuccatī’’’ti.
451又,世尊,象以觉知提起足,亦觉知放下足,瑜伽行者亦应以觉知正念提起足,亦以觉知正念放下足,在往来行止、舒展伸展时,处处皆应具足觉知正念。此为象之第五肢体应当取用。上述所说,世尊,于《众天王相应》经中有言:
Hatthiṅgapañho dasamo.Upacikāvaggo catuttho.
236『身体的自律是善,自律言语是善;
Tassuddānaṃ –
453心念自律是善,处处自律是善;
Upacikā biḷāro ca, undūro vicchikena ca;
454处处自律则为羞愧,故常受保护』。

Idaṃ, mahārāja, sīhassa paṭhamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.

‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, sīho jīvitapariyādānepi na kassaci onamati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena cīvarapiṇḍapātasenāsanagilānapaccayabhesajjaparikkhārapariyādānepi na kassaci onamitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, sīhassa catutthaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
242一、『尊者纳迦逊啊,您所说“狮子应当取七肢(部分)”,所言为何七肢可取呢?』“如是,大王,狮子名为全身洁白清净,心亦应如清洁明净的修行者,于修习禅定时应除去烦恼。此处,大王,狮子的第一肢,应当取者是……」
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, sīho sapadānabhakkho yasmiṃ okāse nipatati, tattheva yāvadatthaṃ bhakkhayati, na varamaṃsaṃ vicināti, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena sapadānabhakkhena bhavitabbaṃ, na kulāni vicinitabbāni, na pubbagehaṃ hitvā kulāni upasaṅkamitabbāni, na bhojanaṃ vicinitabbaṃ, yasmiṃ okāse kabaḷaṃ ādīyati, tasmiṃ yeva okāse bhuñjitabbaṃ sarīrayāpanatthaṃ , na varabhojanaṃ vicinitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, sīhassa pañcamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
243其次,世尊告大王,狮子以四足行,步态威严,行止不凡,如同修行者应当以四种精进的四念处来行为。此为狮子的第二个肢体,应当遵持。
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, sīho asannidhibhakkho, sakiṃ gocaraṃ bhakkhayitvā na puna taṃ upagacchati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena asannidhikāraparibhoginā bhavitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, sīhassa chaṭṭhaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
244其次,世尊告大王,狮子毛色华美,鬃毛娇丽,好看美妙,如同修行者应当以持戒宁静如同华美鬃毛的德行来修持。此为狮子的第三个肢体,应当遵持。
‘‘Puna caparaṃ , mahārāja, sīho bhojanaṃ aladdhā na paritassati, laddhāpi bhojanaṃ agadhito amucchito anajjhosanno paribhuñjati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena bhojanaṃ aladdhā na paritassitabbaṃ, laddhāpi bhojanaṃ agadhitena amucchitena anajjhosannena ādīnavadassāvinā nissaraṇapaññena paribhuñjitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, sīhassa sattamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, bhagavatā devātidevena saṃyuttanikāyavare theraṃ mahākassapaṃ parikittayamānena –
245其次,世尊告大王,狮子即使在生命垂危的危难之际,亦无人怀恨厌恶,同样地,修行者如实修持应对袈裟、托钵、坐具、病时所需药物等生活必需品的摄受之道,不应起厌恨。此为狮子的第四个肢体,应当持守。
‘Santuṭṭhoyaṃ, bhikkhave, kassapo itarītarena piṇḍapātena, itarītarapiṇḍapātasantuṭṭhiyā ca vaṇṇavādī, na ca piṇḍapātahetu anesanaṃ appatirūpaṃ āpajjati, aladdhā ca piṇḍapātaṃ na paritassati, laddhā ca piṇḍapātaṃ agadhito amucchito anajjhosanno ādīnavadassāvī nissaraṇapañño paribhuñjatī’’’ti.
466其次,世尊告大王,狮子食腐尸而不挑剔,见食物何处掉落,即食于何处,不寻求高级肉类,修行者亦应当如此,不应渴求家族财物,不弃弃先前住所而跑向他处,亦不挑食,凡所得食物,皆于现处食之,以养身心,无须选择名贵食物。此为狮子的第五个肢体,应当持守。
Sīhaṅgapañho paṭhamo.
467其次,世尊告大王,狮子食罕见之物,一旦进食后便不再回食,修行者亦应如是,安住于所处之所,不去寻找他处的供养,专心享用当前所得的生活必需品。此为狮子的第六个肢体,应当遵持。
2. Cakkavākaṅgapañho
2其次,世尊告大王,狮子得食后不因饥饿而焦躁,即便食物丰盛,也不会贪婪吞食,修行者亦应如此,得食后不应焦躁,即便食物丰盛,也应以解脱智慧来享受,不贪不嗔。此为狮子的第七个肢体,应当遵持。关于此义,世尊曾赞叹于诸天、梵天之上,称扬长老大迦叶之卓越功德。
2. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘cakkavākassa tīṇi aṅgāni gahetabbānī’ti yaṃ vadesi, katamāni tāni tīṇi aṅgāni gahetabbānīti’’? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, cakkavāko yāva jīvitapariyādānā dutiyikaṃ na vijahati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena yāva jīvitapariyādānā yoniso manasikāro na vijahitabbo. Idaṃ, mahārāja, cakkavākassa paṭhamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
247『比丘们,此满足者迦叶,以不同方式受食,不论受食方式如何,其满足感皆依于受食,而非随意求取不适当之物。已得受食者不曾为担忧所扰,未得受食者亦无恐惧、不安,而是以智慧破除危险而安住解脱。』
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, cakkavāko sevālapaṇakabhakkho, tena ca santuṭṭhiṃ āpajjati, tāya ca santuṭṭhiyā balena ca vaṇṇena ca na parihāyati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena yathālābhasantoso karaṇīyo, yathālābhasantuṭṭho kho, mahārāja, yogī yogāvacaro na parihāyati sīlena, na parihāyati samādhinā, na parihāyati paññāya, na parihāyati vimuttiyā, na parihāyati vimuttiñāṇadassanena, na parihāyati sabbehi kusalehi dhammehi. Idaṃ, mahārāja, cakkavākassa dutiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.

‘‘‘Yo na hanti na ghāteti, na jināti na jāpaye;
472『尊者呀迦胜啊,您所说“车辕鸟应当把三种肢体拿住”,此三种肢体究竟为何?』『如陛下所言,车辕鸟只要活着,即不离开第二肢体;比丘修习世间法亦如是,月谓合宜用心专注处理直到生命终止。这是车辕鸟应当执持之第一肢体。』
Mettaṃso sabbabhūtesu, veraṃ tassa na kenacī’’’ti.
473『其次,陛下,车辕鸟好食甘露,因食而感满足,并不因满足而失去羽毛色彩;同理,比丘修习世间法,应以已得之法足为满足,心无缺失。满足的比丘,所修持之戒、定、慧、解脱及解脱之知见,乃至诸善法,皆不应失坏。这是车辕鸟应当执持之第二肢体。』
Cakkavākaṅgapañho dutiyo.
474『其次,陛下,车辕鸟不伤害他鸟,同理,比丘修习世间法,应当以谨慎持戒、端正威仪、无羞无愧、慈悲怜悯而护持一切众生利益。这是车辕鸟应当执持之第三肢体。以上所说,是世尊借天神者所说《车辕鸟经》。』

3『“不杀生、不害命,不屠戮、不折磨,」
3. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘peṇāhikāya dve aṅgāni gahetabbānī’ti yaṃ vadesi, katamāni tāni dve aṅgāni gahetabbānī’’ti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, peṇāhikā sakapatimhi usūyāya chāpake na posayati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena sakamane kilese uppanne usūyāyitabbaṃ, satipaṭṭhānena sammāsaṃvarasusire pakkhipitvā manodvāre kāyagatāsati bhāvetabbā. 250「对一切众生生起慈心,绝无恶意。”』

Sace ratiṃ nādhigaccheyya tattha, saṅghe vase rakkhitatto satīmā’’’ti.
479第三:「尊者纳迦森那,您所说的‘应当摄持两肢’者,是指哪两肢呢?」答曰:「如同大王所知,蜂巢中蜜蜂因嫉妒而不养蜂王,依此喻之,大王,应行者因所行瑜伽中,身边士徒间若生起烦恼,应当因念处正法,谨慎收摄如弓弦,屏弃杂乱,修持身念,此为应摄持之第一肢。
Peṇāhikaṅgapañho tatiyo.
480又,大王,蜂巢在风中一日游移,黄昏时飞回窝巢,瑜伽行者亦应于瑜伽修行中独处一方,以此断除烦恼之结,为心无散乱,远避争竞惧惮,离群独处,居于僧团护持之中,此为应摄持之第二肢。上述为大王所闻,婆罗门长者与世尊同处时所说:

4『应于林野中退隐幽居,行止断除烦恼束缚;
4. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘gharakapotassa ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabba’nti yaṃ vadesi, katamaṃ taṃ ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabba’’nti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, gharakapoto paragehe vasamāno na tesaṃ kiñci bhaṇḍassa nimittaṃ gaṇhāti, majjhatto vasati saññābahulo, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena parakulaṃ upagatena tasmiṃ kule itthīnaṃ vā purisānaṃ vā mañce vā pīṭhe vā vatthe vā alaṅkāre vā upabhoge vā paribhoge vā bhojanavikatīsu vā na nimittaṃ gahetabbaṃ, majjhattena bhavitabbaṃ, samaṇasaññā paccupaṭṭhapetabbā. 485第四:「尊者纳迦森那,您所说的‘应当摄持独一肢’者,是指哪一肢呢?」答曰:「如同大王知,家雀住于庭院,不取他物器具为媒介,居中心地,多有观察意,瑜伽行者应于瑜伽修行中,不应执着于外处之家族中女子或男子的床榻、坐席、装饰、助器、用食之物等种种媒介,应专注内心,建立出家人之自觉,此为应摄持之唯一肢。上述为大王所闻,世尊于天神长者中所说略曰:

5『入居他处,食饮自给;】
5. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘ulūkassa dve aṅgāni gahetabbānī’ti yaṃ vadesi, katamāni tāni dve aṅgāni gahetabbānī’’ti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, ulūko kākehi paṭiviruddho, rattiṃ kākasaṅghaṃ gantvā bahūpi kāke hanati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena aññāṇena paṭiviruddho kātabbo, ekena raho nisīditvā aññāṇaṃ sampamadditabbaṃ, mūlato chinditabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, ulūkassa paṭhamaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
253『适度地食用,适度地饮用,不应贪恋形貌与心念』。
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, ulūko suppaṭisallīno hoti, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena paṭisallānārāmena bhavitabbaṃ paṭisallānaratena. Idaṃ, mahārāja, ulūkassa dutiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, bhagavatā devātidevena saṃyuttanikāyavare –

‘‘‘Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu paṭisallānārāmo paṭisallānarato ‘‘idaṃ dukkha’’nti yathābhūtaṃ pajānāti, ‘‘ayaṃ dukkhasamudayo’’ti yathā bhūthaṃ pajānāti , ‘‘ayaṃ dukkhanirodho’’ti yathābhūtaṃ pajānāti, ‘‘ayaṃ dukkhanirodhagāminī paṭipadā’’ti yathābhūtaṃ pajānātī’’’ti.
4895. 猫头鹰肢问

4905.『尊者纳迦塞那,您所说“猫头鹰应拿住两肢”,这两肢究竟是何两肢?』『如陛下所言,猫头鹰敌对乌鸦,夜晚前往乌鸦群中捕食许多乌鸦,依此类比,陛下,修行者在修习正法时,应当以愚痴为敌,秘密独坐,熄灭无明,根本断灭无明。这就是猫头鹰应拿的第一肢体。』
6. Satapattaṅgapañho
6『其次,陛下,猫头鹰性情警觉戒备,如同修行者应在正法教导中具足警觉谨慎,常修戒律念虑。这是猫头鹰应拿的第二肢体。正如世尊所说,天人所赞说见经中言——

4956.『尊者纳迦塞那,您所说“扫帚应拿一肢”,这唯一肢体为何?』『如陛下所言,扫帚扫除能显露他处清净安稳或恐怖,依此类比,陛下,修行者在正法教导中,当示现法破坏、令人畏惧,显示涅槃安稳无畏。这就是扫帚应拿的一肢体。正如尊者宾多纳帕拉德瓦迦所言——『

7『“地狱具恐怖痛苦,涅槃具广大安心快乐;
7. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘vaggulissa dve aṅgāni gahetabbānī’ti yaṃ vadesi, katamāni tāni dve aṅgāni gahetabbānī’’ti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, vagguli gehaṃ pavisitvā vicaritvā nikkhamati, na tattha palibuddhati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena gāmaṃ piṇḍāya pavisitvā sapadānaṃ vicaritvā paṭiladdhalābhena khippameva nikkhamitabbaṃ, na tattha palibuddhena bhavitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, vaggulissa paṭhamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
257“应由修行者展示两者之间的利益。”
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, vagguli paragehe vasamāno na tesaṃ parihāniṃ karoti, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena kulāni upasaṅkamitvā atiyācanāya vā viññattibahulatāya vā kāyadosabahulatāya vā atibhāṇitāya vā samānasukhadukkhatāya vā na tesaṃ koci vippaṭisāro karaṇīyo, napi tesaṃ mūlakammaṃ parihāpetabbaṃ, sabbathā vaḍḍhi yeva icchitabbā. Idaṃ, mahārāja, vaggulissa dutiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, bhagavatā devātidevena dīghanikāyavare lakkhaṇasuttante –

500“世尊,难达,您所说‘割柱者应当持有两个部分’,这两个部分是什么?”“大王,如同割柱人进入家中巡视后便离开,不应在其中逗留。同样,大王,修行者因修习而入村乞食,应立即巡视一轮,获得所需后速速离开,不应长久逗留。这是割柱人的第一个必须持有的部分。”
‘‘‘Ñātīhi mittehi ca bandhavehi, balena vaṇṇena sukhena cūbhayaṃ;
501“再者,大王,割柱人住在别家时不损害他人,同样,大王,修行者因修持而进入家族时,无论是因施问、知名度高、身体劳累、言词过多、相似的苦乐,都不可引起他们任何抵触,也不应破坏他们的根本行为,一切情况下应增益他们的愿望。这是割柱人的第二个必须持有的部分。以上所说,世尊在经中以天神供应之身,在《长部》优秀的《特征经》中如此教诲——」

8. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘jalūkāya ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabba’nti yaṃ vadesi, katamaṃ taṃ ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabba’’nti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, jalūkā yattha allīyati, tattheva daḷhaṃ allīyitvā ruhiraṃ pivati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena yasmiṃ ārammaṇe cittaṃ allīyati, taṃ ārammaṇaṃ vaṇṇato ca saṇṭhānato ca disato ca okāsato ca paricchedato ca liṅgato ca nimittato ca daḷhaṃ patiṭṭhāpetvā tenevārammaṇena vimuttirasamasecanakaṃ pātabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, jalūkāya ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, therena anuruddhena –
505如何不会迷失所欲,所求利益却反而不会希求呢?
‘‘‘Parisuddhena cittena, ārammaṇe patiṭṭhāya;
506蝙蝠肢问为第七。
Tena cittena pātabbaṃ, vimuttirasamasecana’’’nti.
5078. 水蛭肢问
Jalūkaṅgapañho aṭṭhamo.
5088. 「尊者那迦塞那,您说‘须取钉螫的一根肢体’,请问这‘一根肢体’究竟为何?」回答道:「如大王,钉螫附着之处,正是在此处牢固地刺入,吸饮血液,瑜伽行者的修习中,当心念紧贴于某一境界,必须正如那钉螫牢固地立住所在之处,如此以此境界为缘起,知见确立,有所观照,并以分隔区别、标识征相等方向牢固确定,方能由此缘起中断除烦恼,所得解脱。此即为大王所言钉螫须取的一根肢体。以上所述,即由尊长阿努鲁达所说——

9“清净的心,立于境界上;
9. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘sappassa tīṇi aṅgāni gahetabbānī’ti yaṃ vadesi, katamāni tāni tīṇi aṅgāni gahetabbānī’’ti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, sappo urena gacchati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena paññāya caritabbaṃ, paññāya caramānassa kho, mahārāja, yogino cittaṃ ñāye carati, vilakkhaṇaṃ vivajjeti, salakkhaṇaṃ bhāveti. Idaṃ, mahārāja , sappassa paṭhamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
260以此心而修行,断除烦恼。”
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, sappo caramāno osadhaṃ parivajjento carati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena duccaritaṃ parivajjentena caritabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, sappassa dutiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
261水蛭肢问为第八。
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, sappo manusse disvā tappati socati cintayati, evameva kho mahārāja yoginā yogāvacarena kuvitakke, vitakketvā aratiṃ uppādayitvā tappitabbaṃ socitabbaṃ cintayitabbaṃ ‘pamādena me divaso vītināmito, na so puna sakkā laddhu’nti. ‘‘‘Mayekarattaṃ vippavasimha ludda, akāmakā aññamaññaṃ sarantā;
5139.「尊者那迦塞那,您说‘须取蜂三根肢体’,请问这三根肢体究竟为何?」回答说:「如大王,蜂在携带蜜往来奔走,瑜伽行者当以智慧来行持,智慧运用时,心转观照智慧内容,分别出种种特别标志,培养清晰特征。这为大王所说蜂的第一根肢体应取为智慧。
Tamekarattaṃ anutappamānā, socāma ‘sā ratti puna nahessatī’’’ti.
514其次,大王,当蜂采集花蜜时,避开有毒草药,瑜伽行者当以智慧防避恶行,或恶业障碍。此为大王所说蜂的第二根肢体应取为远离恶行。

515其次,尊王,看见一个人生病,便会痛苦、悲伤、思虑;同样啊,尊王,行者在禅修中起心动念、破除念头后,生起厌离,便当痛苦、悲伤、思虑地观照,发念说:“我因疏忽懈怠,今天白白流逝,今后不再得此时光。”这是尊王,应当作为病人痛苦的第三部分。以上所说,是尊王,世尊在破荆树本生中,说两只迦楼罗的故事。
10. Ajagaraṅgapañho
10‘有一夜狮子在森林中吼叫,彼此互不相爱;有一夜因感悔恨而悲伤,说:“那夜将不再来。”’
10. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘ajagarassa ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabba’nti yaṃ vadesi, katamaṃ taṃ ekaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabba’’nti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, ajagaro mahatimahākāyo bahūpi divase ūnūdaro dīnataro kucchipūraṃ āhāraṃ na labhati, aparipuṇṇo yeva yāvadeva sarīrayāpanamattakena yāpeti, evameva kho, mahārāja, yogino yogāvacarassa bhikkhācariyappasutassa parapiṇḍamupagatassa paradinnappāṭikaṅkhissa sayaṃgāhappaṭiviratassa dullabhaṃ udaraparipūraṃ āhāraṃ, api ca atthavasikena kulaputtena cattāro pañca ālope abhuñjitvā avasesaṃ udakena paripūretabbaṃ. 520十、比丘!那位龙军说“蟒蛇有一个部分应当取舍”,所谓哪个部分呢?尊王,如同尊王所知,蟒蛇体型巨大,肚腹虚弱,许多天不能获得充满肚腹的食物,勉强靠有限身体活动勉强维持生命;同样啊,尊王,修行者在禅定与住持清净戒律之后,因外境所逼,身心耗损,自己却未能得到足以充满肚腹的饮食;只是凭着值钱的家族子弟,在吃过四或五种杂食之后,剩余的饮水方得以充裕。这个,尊王,就是取舍蟒蛇的那部分。如前所述,是尊王,长老沙利善作为法军统帅时说的——

533一、比丘,汝言‘猴群当取其一肢’者,何谓当取其一肢?譬如,大王,猴群行于路上,筑设猴罗网,如若有蜂蚁或蝇蠓落于网上,便取而食之。大王,修行者也是这样,修行时筑设念处罗网于六门,如若污秽烦恼如蜂蚁落于此网,则须当即斩杀。此乃,世尊阿难长老所说,猴群当取其一肢之意也。
2. Thanassitadārakaṅgapañho
2‘心于六门调伏,念处为先;

3‘阿难,当于适时努力,及时勤修。’

5433. 『尊敬的那伽舍那,您所说“必须取舍一处专心持守”的心所,究竟为何处当取舍呢?』『如大王所问,就如一个持瓢少年害怕水淹,因此避免涉水而行,然而因避水之故,其生命并未损失;大王,如是修行者于禅定修习中,须以慎心防护恐惧之念,免于疏漏的危患。因疏漏而致显现的危险应除灭,但因防护的德性而显现的危险则不应破坏。因恐惧而显现的危险无法破坏平常,反而使其临近涅槃。此即大王,持瓢少年的心所当取舍之一处。正如世尊借天龙神力所演法句所言——
4. Pavanaṅgapañho
4『勤于正念的比丘,勿生疏漏,疏漏者为见恐怖,』
4. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘pavanassa pañca aṅgāni gahetabbānī’ti yaṃ vadesi, katamāni tāni pañca aṅgāni gahetabbānī’’ti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, pavanaṃ nāma asucijanaṃ paṭicchādeti, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena paresaṃ aparaddhaṃ khalitaṃ paṭicchādetabbaṃ na vivaritabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, pavanassa paṭhamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
269『不应被破坏,如临涅槃境界』。
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, pavanaṃ suññaṃ pacurajanehi, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena rāgadosamohamānadiṭṭhijālehi sabbehi ca kilesehi suññena bhavitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, pavanassa dutiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.

271四、森林德相之问
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, pavanaṃ santaṃ parisuddhaṃ, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena santena parisuddhena bhavitabbaṃ, nibbutena pahīnamānena pahīnamakkhena bhavitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, pavanassa catutthaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
2724. 『尊敬的那伽舍那,您所言“应取风的五个部分”,这五者为何具体是?』『如大王所说,风为污浊之气遮蔽;大王,修行者于禅定中,应以慎心遮盖他人的过失,不应显露它们。此即大王,风当取舍的第一部分。

549又大王,风为空无之象,仿如空虚如火焰。大王,修行者于禅定中应以如火焰般烧煮隔绝的散乱、贪嗔痴、妄见幻觉,所有烦恼应悉作空无。此即大王,风当取舍的第二部分。
‘‘‘Pavivittehi ariyehi, pahitattehi jhāyibhi;
550又者,大王,应当令风变得疏远,远离大众,不往来于世。大王,如瑜伽士修习瑜伽时,应当远离恶行、不善法及非圣贤的人。这是风的第三个方面,应当把握。
Niccaṃ āraddhavīriyehi, paṇḍitehi sahāvase’’’ti.
551又者,大王,应当令风安静清净。同理,大王,瑜伽士修习瑜伽时,应当令其纯净、清净、已灭除欲望及已断除口业。这是风的第四个方面,应当把握。

‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, rukkho upagatānamanuppaviṭṭhānaṃ janānaṃ chāyaṃ deti, evameva kho , mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena upagatānamanuppaviṭṭhānaṃ puggalānaṃ āmisappaṭisandhārena vā dhammappaṭisanthārena vā paṭisantharitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, rukkhassa dutiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.

‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, rukkho chāyāvemattaṃ na karoti, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena sabbasattesu vemattatā na kātabbā, coravadhakapaccatthikesupi attanipi samasamā mettābhāvanā kātabbā, ‘kinti ime sattā averā abyāpajjā anīghā sukhī attānaṃ parihareyyu’nti. ‘‘‘Vadhake devadattamhi, core aṅgulimālake;
5575. 「尊者那先者,您所说‘树有三个方面应当把握’,究竟这三个方面是什么?」答:「大王,树谓之开花结果者,瑜伽士修习瑜伽时,应当成就解脱之花与圣果。这是树的第一个方面,应当把握。」
Dhanapāle rāhule ca, sabbattha samako munī’’’ti.
558复次,大王,树为接近者给予遮阴,正如是,诸行者以修行戒律对接近者,若以衣服财物接济,若以法教利益接济,应当这样接济。此者,大王,树之第二部分,应当领受。

559其次,大王,树不能仅止于遮阴,正如是,大王,诸行者于一切众生不应生吝惜,且于盗杀等反义处亦当同等施以慈心,意念:‘这些众生无畏无恚无忧,安乐自护。’此者,大王,树之第三部分,应当领受。所说者,为长老沙利佛,法军将领所说——
6. Meghaṅgapañho
6‘杀人者于提婆达多,盗于手镯者;
6. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘meghassa pañca aṅgāni gahetabbānī’ti yaṃ vadesi, katamāni tāni pañca aṅgāni gahetabbānī’’ti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, megho uppannaṃ rajojallaṃ vūpasameti, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena uppannaṃ kilesarajojallaṃ vūpasametabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, meghassa paṭhamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
277财主于难达,贤者于一切处平等。’
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, megho pathaviyā uṇhaṃ nibbāpeti, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena mettābhāvanāya sadevako loko nibbāpetabbo. Idaṃ, mahārāja, meghassa dutiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
278树德相问第五。
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, megho sabbabījāni viruhāpeti, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena sabbasattānaṃ saddhaṃ uppādetvā taṃ saddhābījaṃ tīsu sampattīsu ropetabbaṃ, dibbamānusikāsu sukhasampattīsu yāvaparamatthanibbānasukhasampatti. Idaṃ, mahārāja, meghassa tatiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
279六、云德相问
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, megho ututo samuṭṭhahitvā dharaṇitalaruhe tiṇarukkhalatāgumbaosadhivanappatayo parirakkhati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena yoniso manasikāraṃ nibbattetvā tena yoniso manasikārena samaṇadhammo parirakkhitabbo, yoniso manasikāramūlakā sabbe kusalā dhammā. Idaṃ, mahārāja, meghassa catutthaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
280六、“世尊Nāgasena,以‘云之五部分应当领受’而言,分别那五部分为何?”“如是,大王,如云生时解散雨水,正如是,大王,行者以修行戒律应当灭除烦恼污秽。此者,大王,云之第一部分,应当领受。
‘‘Puna caparaṃ , mahārāja, megho vassamāno naditaḷākapokkharaṇiyo kandarapadarasarasobbhaudapānāni ca paripūreti udakadhārāhi, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena āgamapariyattiyā dhammameghamabhivassayitvā adhigamakāmānaṃ mānasaṃ paripūrayitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, meghassa pañcamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, therena sāriputtena dhammasenāpatinā –
565其次,大王,云令地热熄灭,正如是,大王,行者以慈爱修习,应令一切众生如同随从者般息灭烦恼。此者,大王,云之第二部分,应当领受。
‘‘‘Bodhaneyyaṃ janaṃ disvā, satasahassepi yojane;
566国王啊,云聚百谷,种下种子。同样,国王啊,修行者以修习法门,为诸众生生起信心,便应将这信心的种子植入三种功德之中,即天人之乐等功德,直到至高的涅槃之乐功德。此为国王,云的第三部分,应当取用。
Khaṇena upagantvāna, bodheti taṃ mahāmunī’’’ti.
567国王啊,云从高处升起,守护着大地的树叶、芦苇、树枝、林木、草地、草药和诸佛刹土。同样,国王啊,修行者通过修习法门,恰当地用正念守护内心,借正念守护出家修道之法,正念为一切善法的根本。这为国王,云的第四部分,应当取用。
Meghaṅgapañho chaṭṭho.
568国王啊,云饮润雨季,润泽溪流、湖泊、池塘、莲花、花蕾以及地下泉水。一样,国王啊,修行者以修习法门,布施法雨,充满入世法与出世法的道量,供养欲得法的人们的心田。这为国王,云的第五部分,应当取用。佛弟子长老沙利拔担任法军司令时云:

7「当众人见此,应当觉悟,纵使相隔一万里,

282也应迅速临近,觉悟此大圣人。「

572七、摩尼宝德相问
‘‘‘Suddhā suddhehi saṃvāsaṃ, kappayavho patissatā;
5737. 长老,您说‘宝珠有三部分应当取用’,这是指哪三部分呢?「答曰:」国王啊,宝珠须全然清净,无有薮秽。同样,国王啊,修行者应以净洁的寿命体现全然清净的生命。这为国王,宝珠的第一部分,应当取用。
Tato samaggā nipakā, dukkhassantaṃ karissathā’’’ti.
574「再者,大王,宝珠宝石不会与任何事物混淆,同样,大王,禅修者不应与恶行和恶友相混淆。此为大王,宝珠宝石的第二个方面须当抓握。

575「再者,大王,宝珠宝石与纯净宝石相辅相依,同样,大王,禅修者应与修习正道、达到修行果德的人相伴,乃至与初果、二果、三果、阿拉汉,正自觉者,及拥有超凡智慧和神通的圣者们相伴共处。此为大王,宝珠宝石的第三个方面须当抓握。此偈即如大王所闻,是世尊以天神迦楼罗身份,于经集中所说―
8. Māgavikaṅgapañho
8「『清净者与清净者同居,如小溪流归大洋;
8. ‘‘Bhante nāgasena, ‘māgavikassa cattāri aṅgāni gahetabbānī’ti yaṃ vadesi, katamāni tāni cattāri aṅgāni gahetabbānī’’ti? ‘‘Yathā, mahārāja, māgaviko appamiddho hoti, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena appamiddhena bhavitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, māgavikassa paṭhamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
285然后和合而熟练,令苦尽灭』」
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, māgaviko migesu yeva cittaṃ upanibandhati, evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena ārammaṇesu yeva cittaṃ upanibandhitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, māgavikassa dutiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.

9「『获得修习缘起,勤勉修持比丘;更应生起欢喜,我必达至更上境地。』」

10『空无相与无因无缘』,解脱亦未曾立定;

594第十。『尊者,纳迦森那,您说『车轮有两个部份应当把握』,这两个部份到底是何?』答曰:『譬如,大王,车轮沿黑线向下滑落而滚动,犹如,贵大王,修行者依照圣者教法,遵行戒律之地而立足,执持信心之手,持用智慧之眼,斩断烦恼。此即,大王,车轮之第一部份当持之。』『其次,大王,车轮移走木柄开始运行,犹如,贵大王,修行者依教法,恒行断绝此生命此身,非此生命周期非此身体,依彼上上,无上之无所为,非人作非梵行者,灭除所生灭成,七十倍安顿,恒行诸行空性。此人能感知,彼人亦行,彼亦感知,业报真实相与行为所得见亦如是,携带此等诸关他人争讼之因,行诸行本质极为虚无无生无灭极寂灭。此即,大王,车轮之第二部份当持之。』所说者乃,大王,世尊于《天人师尊经典》中言:

608第一,『尊者那伽瑟那,您所说‘壶有一部分必须取舍’,请问这“一部分”为何?』世尊答言:『如同,大王,壶满溢时不应再倾倒,乃至溢出;同样,大王,修道者于瑜伽法中通过听受、默诵、学习了经藏,若已在般般教义中达到通达境界,则不应轻率弃舍亦不应加以轻视,既不可藐视亦不可示现悖逆;应当持正直心、正语而不胡乱毁谤。这就是,大王,壶的一部分必须取舍。以上说法乃是大王,世尊在《诸天魔众颂》中所说——

2『那倾倒的必被弃,如同满壶之水亦将倾覆;

613第二,『尊者那伽瑟那,您所说“黑云有两部分须得持守”,请问是哪两部分?』世尊答言:『如同,大王,黑云因为满溢而翻滚倾泻;同样,大王,修行者须以理智正念审慎地观照其心念,以免心生烦恼和反复无常。这便是,大王,黑云的第一部分应当持守。
Kāḷāyasaṅgapañho dutiyo.
614再者,大王,黑云怒云已去,雨水已不再倾泻;同样,大王,修行者于瑜伽法中生起信心,知“佛陀正觉、正法甚为广宣、僧团修行圆满”,五蕴皆无常、感受无常、知觉无常、心行无常、意识无常,此种生起之智不应放弃。这便是,大王,黑云的第二部分应当持守。以上说法乃是大王,世尊与诸天魔众所说──

3『在见解上得清净的人,于圣法中受具特别的约束;』

298『他不会广泛地调查各部分,总是以全面的根本相现前。』

628四、『尊者,您说“应当取得田地的三种部分”,这三种部分是什么呢?』答:『如大王,田地具有界限,这是第一部分,应当取得。修行者当如是有如规范之田界,谨谨守护,依行善法而得上下相承。大王,这就是田地的第一部分。』
Esa khettavaro nāma, yo dadāti vipulaṃ phala’’’nti.
629『再者,大王,田地具有庄严,这庄严者,守护水源使谷物成熟。修行者亦当如是,依止戒慎谦敬,守护清规,摄持平等,获得四种平等之果。这就是田地的第二部分,应当取得。』
Khettaṅgapañho catuttho.
630『再者,大王,田地具有耕作力,种子多样,良种众多。修行者亦应如是,勤奋精进,以丰厚之果报施与他人,好比少量给予时果多,大量给予时果更多。大王,这就是田地的第三部分,应当取得。以上所说者,皆出自尊长乌巴利以律藏所说。』

5应当如耕田一样精勤努力,专注发起生起的行动。

636“其次,大王,烦恼正如毒药、刀剑、火焰、尸体、粪尿一般,悉皆当摒除。修行者于修行过程中,亦当一切斩断贪、嗔、痴、愚痴、邪见之毒害。此为断烦恼的第二方面。”世尊以天神之言说道:“众行之本性,应如修行者般,以断除烦恼怨毒。”

6“众行本性,应为修行者所见故。”

306“应如断除烦恼毒害般。”

Idaṃ, mahārāja, issāsassa paṭhamaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.
309端正而行,成为一切世间的修行者。’
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, issāso āḷakaṃ pariharati vaṅkajimhakuṭilanārācassa ujukaraṇāya. Evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena imasmiṃ kāye satipaṭṭhānaāḷakaṃ pariharitabbaṃ vaṅkajimhakuṭilacittassa ujukaraṇāya. Idaṃ, mahārāja, issāsassa dutiyaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ.

3117. 弓箭手诸相之问
‘‘Puna caparaṃ, mahārāja, issāso sāyaṃ pātaṃ upāsati. Evameva kho, mahārāja, yoginā yogāvacarena sāyaṃ pātaṃ ārammaṇe upāsitabbaṃ. Idaṃ, mahārāja, issāsassa catutthaṃ aṅgaṃ gahetabbaṃ. Bhāsitampetaṃ, mahārāja, therena sāriputtena dhammasenāpatinā –
648世尊,纳迦森那啊,您所说的‘忌恨应取四种根本’,这四种根本是什么呢?陛下,如同陛下所知,忌恨犹如流沙,将双脚坚牢立于地面,刀剑蛰伏周身刺痛,身心受缚,两手顶点受压,拳头受紧握,指关节持续发力,舌头握紧,眼目闭合,正念端正,引生欢喜欲‘要刺破他’,同样,陛下,修行者因修道,应当以戒律来立于地忍,保持耐心,砍断邪见,制止心念,炼养自制,通过制动和纪律引导自己;意念应被压制,成就深沉的正念,心思常用智慧专注,培育精进,六门应当收敛,正念应当保持,应当生起欢喜‘以智慧火焚灭一切烦恼’。这个,陛下,是忌恨的第一种根本,应当取用。
‘‘‘Yathā issāsako nāma, sāyaṃ pātaṃ upāsati;
649又,圣王,贪欲者护持贪欲之杖,矫正心意的弯曲、斜曲、曲折。圣王,修行者亦当以修行戒律护持身身念处之杖,矫正心意的弯曲、斜曲、曲折。此为贪欲者须当取的第二部分。
Upāsanaṃ ariñcanto , labhate bhattavetanaṃ.
650又,圣王,贪欲者观察身体,修行者亦应以修行戒律观察身身。圣王,修行者如何以修行戒律观察身身?应观察无常,应观察苦,应观察无我,应观察疾病……应观察疾病,应观察肿胀,应观察疮疡,应观察痛苦,应观察障碍,应观察他者,应观察轮回,应观察乖戾,应观察灾难,应观察恐怖,应观察威胁,应观察动摇,应观察破坏,应观察丧失,应观察振荡,应观察无依,应观察无助,应观察空虚,应观察危险,应观察变化无常,应观察无益,应观察毒根,应观察致命,应观察灭亡,应观察侵蚀,应观察毒害,应观察强化,应观察烦恼,应观察聚合,应观察魔意,应观察生灭,应观察老病,应观察疾病,应观察死亡,应观察忧伤,应观察悲痛,应观察苦恼,应观察痛苦疾病。圣王,修行者应如此以修行戒律观察身身。此为贪欲者须当取的第三部分。
‘‘‘Tatheva buddhaputtopi, karoti kāyupāsanaṃ;
651又,圣王,贪欲者于傍晚饭时而观察,修行者亦应于傍晚饭时,以修行戒律而修习专注。此为贪欲者须当取的第四部分。以上所说者,圣王,乃长老沙利弗、法军将领所说:
Kāyupāsanaṃ ariñcanto, arahattamadhigacchatī’’’ti.
652『正如贪欲者名为于傍晚饭时而观察;
Issāsaṅgapañho sattamo.
653不生深敬而供养,得取饭食资粮,
Kumbhavaggo sattamo .
312佛陀之子也是这样,作身体观察;』

664国王与长老询问结束后,四十八万余由旬的水域周围,这片大地震动摇摆,明净流水泛滥,诸天放飞神花,大梵天赠予善行,浩大海浪轰鸣有如云层翻滚发声那般激烈响亮;于是弥林多王及众首领顶礼合掌,恭敬供养。
Paññāya vimatiṃ hantvā, santiṃ papponti paṇḍitā.
665那时,祇连得王怀着极其欢喜的心意,内心安稳,深具觉悟,于佛教法中有所通达,执守宝物般的正法,毫无疑惑,深沉持重,已圆寂如睡眠般安静,脱离尘世苦难。一如巨蟒昂然挺立而威严无比,祂如此说:『善哉,尊敬的那先尊者,佛法之所依止的问题因你得以解脱,于此佛法中你所立的圣法军师沙利佛长老,别无他人能与你相媲美以解答疑难。请原谅我,尊敬的那先,我乃居士,敬请你收我为护法,使我得依止,至此终生奉护。』
Yasmiṃ khandhe ṭhitā paññā, sati tattha anūnakā;
666于是国王与其随从侍卫一同恭敬地供养那先长老,在名为弥兰陀的寺院供养他,并以四种条件约定那先长老护持三无量劫的法教。众多比丘协助侍奉那先长老,长老的智慧愈加明净,国王便将王位付与其子,子出家离家,修习内观禅,增长智慧,最终得阿拉汉果位。对此有言:
Pūjā visesassādhāro, aggo seṭṭho anuttaro;
667『智慧是世间的清凉来临者,因建立正法得成就;
Tasmā hi paṇḍito poso, sampassaṃ hitamattano ;
668以智慧斩断烦恼者,贤达者便得和平安乐。
Paññavantaṃbhipūjeyya, cetiyaṃ viya sādaro’’ti .
669存在蕴中若有智慧,必有正念不缺失;
Laṅkāyaṃ doṇinagare, vasatā doṇināminā;
670敬奉以信为最固本,至上无上无可匹敌。』
Mahātherena lekhitvā, suṭṭhapitaṃ yathāsutaṃ;
671因此,智者节制饮食,注重有益于自身的善法;
Milindarājapañho ca, nāgasenavisajjanaṃ;
672应当恭敬贤哲,如同尊敬圣地一般。
Milindo hi mahāpañño, nāgaseno supaṇḍito;
673此经由居住在兰伽的多尼城,由名为多尼的人所取;
Iminā puññakammena, ito gacchāmi tussitaṃ;
674由一位长老撰写,按听闻而正本清源地保存下来;
