2贪欲如火,要求燃烧烧尽;
Divu kīlā vijigiṃsā vohārajjuti thomite,
3如同锐剑切断薄弱的络绎不绝的细线,吞噬分食鲜明显现的对象。

5声响如鸟鸣,气味如香,触感如触,味道如味,色相如光,都令心喜欢愉悦,
Kā-gā sadde (pi) ghā gandho’pādāne ruca rocane,
6当此身心更应观察断舍,分辨取舍,有所解脱自在而洞察分明。

8由贪欲引发的忧恼、由结缔产生的累障、由毁坏而生的浊乱,

9在正定中若未生起解脱而被破坏,思维正法即随之毁坏;

11保护此法却被二种内外异见所破坏,如同热爱蜜糖时,
Tā pālane chidi dvedhākāre mida sinehane,
12于醉迷沉溺、饥饿贫困等境中,渐渐心意分裂瓦解。

14众生经由成熟的果实而生,彼等思惟缠绕,

15其续法在梦中消逝;施与与财施分裂而断,

24止息憎恨、忧愁、愤怒、苦恼与痛苦。

27口舌间的欢笑与取舍,当贪欲生起时常常动摇不定;

30以及身体结合的称谓和疾病、笑声的消失,亦同此理;

116116. 在苦、集、灭、道的出现和消散,以及身心变化之时,绝不可放弃戒律、心口的正直;不可亲近恶人,亦不可生恼恨愤怒,唯当住于慈爱安隐之中,安住欢喜之处。
