1礼敬彼世尊、阿拉汉、正自觉者
Namo tassa bhagavato arahato sammāsambuddhassa

1.
3无上尊者,愿胜利归于观世音王,愿所行吉祥如意,殊胜圆满。
Laṃkissaro jayatu vāraṇarājagāmī
4乐享于美妙华贵,身健体强,四肢有力,
Bhogindabhoga rucirāyata pīṇa bāhu,
5善行不断,沉醉于善事,品德汇聚同居,
Sādhupacāranirato guṇasannivāso
6立于正法,不流愤怒,无有骄慢,清净庄严;
Dhamme ṭhito vīgatakodhamadāvalepo;

8为普世之善行者,住于慈悲之中,
Yo sabbalokamahito karuṇādhivāso
9为解脱者,穿净光如兰花之衣,满月般圆满,
Mokkhākaro ravikulambara puṇṇa cando,
10应当依止广大深深的教海,具足智慧的世尊。
Ñeyyodadhiṃ suvipulaṃ sakalaṃ vibuddho
11顶礼那世间尊最胜的圣者,圣贤之王。
Lokuttamaṃ namatha taṃ sirasā munindaṃ;

13洁净无垢的阶梯,宛如水上之树。
Sopānamālamamalaṃ tidasālayassa
14为渡过轮回苦海所建起的桥梁,
Saṃsāra sāgarasamuttaraṇāya setuṃ,
15使众生远离一切恐怖,安稳无碍的道途,
Sabbāgatībhaya vivajjita khema maggaṃ
16当恒常顶礼贤哲高贵圣者所宣扬的法。
Dhammaṃ namassatha sadā muninā paṇītaṃ;

18即使是给与那些心境清净喜悦者的,也应当施予,
Deyyaṃ tadappamapi yattha pasanna cittā
19给施主们果实丰盈、甘露般甜美的馈赠,
Datvā narā phalamuḷārataraṃ labhante,
20这般时常以十种力量所护持的,利益广大且圆满的,
Taṃ sabbadā dasabalenapi suppasatthaṃ
21当常向僧团恭敬礼拜,此团乃善根的庄严之所;
Saṅghaṃ namassatha sadāmitapuññakhettaṃ;

23以极大的威力和光明,作为尊宝三宝之力,
Tejo balena mahatā ratanattayassa
24可以借此超越三界,达到解脱无漏之位。
Lokattayaṃ samadhigacchati yena mokkhaṃ,
25并无护持的均等宝之所在,
Rakkhā na catthi ca samā ratanattayassa
26因此常当亲近此均等宝,诸贤!
Tasmā sadā bhajatha taṃ ratanattayaṃ bho;

28弃弃着挂碍恶行,远离他利,心无希冀,
Laṃkissaro parahitekarato nirāso
29夜亦常守清醒,慈悲之所依,
Rattimpi jāgararato karuṇādhivāso,
30为利乐世人而启发众生之心,
Lokaṃ vibodhayati lokahitāya kāmaṃ
31修行法门,专心致志于觉醒之事。
Dhammaṃ samācaratha jāgariyānuyuttā;

33善法同行,勤于七种利益者。
Sattopakāra niratā kusale sahāyā
34人间难得谨慎不懈怠者,如此难得。
Bho dullabhā bhuvi narā vihatappamādā,
35如兰卡诸王,财富美德,俱为善行同伴者。
Laṃkādhipaṃ guṇadhanaṃ kusale sahāyaṃ
36当亲近行走,远离染污懈怠之法。
Āgamma saṃcaratha dhammamalaṃ pamādaṃ;

38法为三界依止,最尊至味者。
Dhammo tiloka saraṇo paramo rasānaṃ
39法乃世间宝库中最宝贵之宝石。
Dhammo mahaggharatano ratanesu loke,
40法是三种生死苦的灭除因。
Dhammo bhave tibhavadukkha vināsahetu
41当修持法,常当勤勉,专注清醒。
Dhammaṃ samācaratha jāgariyānuyuttā;

43当不眠以自慰,调柔其念,恒勤修习不动摇。
Niddaṃ vinodayatha bhāvayathappameyyaṃ
44若知苦无常且无我,
Dukkhaṃ aniccampi ceha anattatañca,
45应断身爱,远离播种生死的根本缘起。
Dehe ratiṃ jahatha ja jajjarabhājanābho
46当修持法,常当勤勉,专注清醒。
Dhammaṃ samācaratha jāgariyānuyuttā;

48时机与我无缘,我不善于把握时机。
Okāsa majja mama natthi suve karissaṃ
49所谓法者,是指具备真诚热心、善行之利的法。
Dhammaṃ itīhalasatā kusalappayoge,
50对于那些善法与世间之事,不可掉以轻心或废弃。
Nā’laṃ tiyaddhasu tathā bhuvanattaye ca
51人在生死之间无法执着于欲望之中;
Kāmaṃ na catthi manujo maraṇā pamutto;

53如同天空中的某物被吹散,
Khitto yathā nabhasi kenacideva leḍḍu
54地面在重力与挖掘之力作用下陷落。
Bhūmiṃ samāpatti bhāratayā khaṇena,
55生死真的是唯一的因缘所在。
Jātattameva khalu kāraṇamekamatra
56世间常常无常,确实必然要去往死亡;
Lokaṃ sadā nanu dhuvaṃ maraṇāya gantuṃ;

58人在欲望中沉沦,如同攀登高山跌落谷底,
Kāmaṃ narassa patato girimuddhanāto
59中道却无任何能令心安定无畏的因缘,
Majjhe na kiñci bhayanissaraṇāya hetu,
60众生在三界中沉溺于欲望,
Kāmaṃ vajanti maraṇaṃ tibhavesu sattā
61即使舍弃对于享乐的贪恋,却仍困于生存之中。
Bhoge ratiṃ pajahathāpi ca jīvite ca;

63欲念如同雨季时由大地流泻的水,
Kāmaṃ patanti mahiyā khalu vassadhārā
64如同展开的藤蔓似的云幕开口释放,
Vijjullatā vitatamegha mukhā pamuttā,
65人们因此在生死恐怖之中堕落,
Evaṃ narā maraṇabhīma papātamajjhe
66欲望在世间诸有中无一时常存在;
Kāmaṃ patanti nahi koci bhavesu nicco;

68层层波浪在近岸浅水中涌起,
Velātaṭe paṭutaroru taraṃgamālā
69水波不断地击打着,永不停息。
Nāsaṃ vajanti satataṃ salilālayassa,
70人类和众生亦如是同于灭亡,
Nāsaṃ tathā samupayanti narāmarānaṃ
71于凶恶的死亡深渊中,其手极其残暴;
Pāṇāni dāruṇatare maraṇodadhimhi;

73即便被强大的战车队长及象王所阻挡,
Ruddhopi so rathavarassagajādhipehi
74以及由勇猛的战士和强力同伴所护卫,
Yodhehi cāpi sabalehi ca sāyudhehi,
75此生死牛常常撕裂世界,
Lokaṃ vivaṃciya sadā maraṇūsabho so
76以其饥渴之鞭笞殆尽诸世界的欲望。
Kāmaṃ nihanti bhuvanattaya sāli daṇḍaṃ;

78如同遭受强烈风暴吹袭的灯火,
Bho mārutena mahatā vihato padīpo
79即便是最宏大的灯火,也会迅速熄灭,
Khippaṃ vināsa mukhameti mahappabhopi,
80世间亦如临近死亡的狂风吹袭,
Loke tathā maraṇacaṇḍa samīraṇena
81众生这一宏大之灯火迅速消灭;
Khippaṃ vinassati narāyumahā padīpo;

83诸如统辖广大领域的王侯贵族,
Rāmajjunappabhūti bhūpati puṃgavā ca
84在城中敌军阵前曾经获胜的勇士们,
Sūrā pure raṇamukhe vijitāri saṅghā,
85如热焰般猛烈,沉沦于死亡灾害的火海之中,身心俱苦受折磨。
Tepīha caṇḍa maraṇogha nimuggadehā
86在这世间消失不见的,是何者?死亡已经离开了谁,令其得解脱?
Nāsaṃ gatā jagati ke maraṇā pamuttā?

88特征如大海那样广大深厚,如此坚定不移,恒久不变,
Lakkhī ca sāgarapaṭā sadharādharā ca
89财富种类繁多,各种形态的美妙色相,
Sampattiyo ca vividhā api rūpasobhā,
90全都存在,乃至亲友、妻子,
Sabbā ca tā api ca mittasutā ca dārā
91那么,究竟有谁随从着这死亡而战胜它呢?
Ke cāpi kaṃ anugatā maraṇaṃ vajantaṃ?

93梵天、魔神及阿修罗众等诸大德众,
Brahmāsurāsuragaṇā ca mahānubhāvā
94香界天、奇异神鸟及恶鬼也,
Gandhabbakinnaramahoragarakkhasā ca,
95他们又在死的烈焰火苗之上,
Te cā pare ca maraṇaggisikhāya sabbe
96如同蜂群涣散一般,灭尽善业消散;
Ante patanti salabhā iva khīṇapuññā;

98那诸如沙利迦者般正直圣贤的比丘弟子,
Ye sāriputtapamukhā munisāvakā ca
99清净无染,永断烦恼,具足最高的果德,
Suddhā sadāsavanudā paramiddhipattā,
100那些面容俱为死亡覆盖,显露枯槁与凋残;
Te cāpi maccuvaḷabhā mukha sannimuggā
101如同灯火被风吹熄,火焰消散殆尽;
Dīpānivānalahatā khayataṃ upetā;

103即便是佛陀,佛陀之莲花般洁净美丽的明净眼睛,
Buddhāpi buddhakamalāmalacārunettā
104其形相端庄庄严,光彩照人,
Battiṃsalakkhaṇa virājita rūpasobhā,
105是断除一切眼界者,也是世间诸主宰,
Sabbāsacakkhayakarāpi ca lokanāthā
106但也必定会被那如大象般强烈的死亡所压制,灭尽无遗;
Sammadditā maraṇamattamahāgajena;

108于所患病者当起慈悲,非于衰老者。
Rogāturesu karuṇā na jarāturesu
109于衰老者不能起慈悲,唯于柔弱幼小者。
Khiḍḍāparesu sukumārakumārakesu,
110犹如恶龙大象常常毁灭世间,
Lokaṃ sadā hanati maccu mahāgajindo
111如猛火环绕森林,焚烧无遗;
Davānalo vanamivāvarataṃ asesaṃ;

113水中无足之缺,水面无破坏,
Āpuṇṇatā na salile na jalāsayassa
114木柴虽众,却未被完全焚尽,
Kaṭṭhassa cāpi bahutā na hutāsanassa,
115成就之后,彼等乃至三界诸处亦皆俱足无余,
Bhutvāna so tibhūvanampi tathā asesaṃ
116啊,沉溺于欲乐者,实无真喜悦得见生死。
Bho niddayo na khalu pītimupeti maccu;

118啊,无明之惑以无明所蔽愚钝之心,
Bho moha mohitatayā vivaso adhañño
119世间如同堕落入死门,虽美好亦难长久,
Loko patatyapipi maccumukhe subhīme,
120乐于资财则随无智者趋向堕落,
Bhoge ratiṃ samupayāti nihīnapañño
121如波浪摇荡之船般动摇,譬如沉睡梦境。
Dolā taraṅgacapale supinopameyye;

123唯有死亡能够消除世间一切污秽。
Ekopi maccurabhihantumalaṃ tilokaṃ
124即便如此,什么能驱除必随老死而来的苦难?
Kiṃ niddayā api jarāmaraṇānuyāyī,
125在生灭变坏中,究竟谁能保全生命?
Ko vā kareyya vibhasuvesu ca jīvitāsaṃ
126人生刚降生,便陷于沉睡、交会、聚集等诸种事象之中;
Jāto naro supina saṃgama sannibhesu;

128此天地常在四方,充满恐怖与忧愁之感;
Niccāturaṃ jagadidaṃ sabhayaṃ sasokaṃ
129见诸烦恼、瞋恚、愚痴以及老朽入侵时,内心亦随之动摇。
Disvā ca kodhamadamohajarābhibhūtaṃ,
130若不知晓烦恼的根源所在,
Ubbegamattamapi yassa na vijjatī ce
131那如实面对可怕的死亡吧,勇士!
So dāruṇona maraṇaṃ vata taṃ dhiratthu!
132噫噫,你可曾见过老死这可怖的敌人?
Bho bho na passatha jarāsidharañhi maccu
133它尽毁一切,无有余地,常常遍布三界,
Māhaññamānamakhilaṃ satataṃ tilokaṃ,
134为何安睡而不自警?为何无惧而放逸?
Kiṃ niddayā nayatha vītabhayā tiyāmaṃ
135当常行无漏之法,时刻精进,不得松懈。
Dhammaṃ sadā’savanudaṃ caratha’ppamattā;

137当欲生起念头,以远离死之苦难。
Bhāvetha bho maraṇamāravivajjanāya
138世间常有死亡之观,正因知此,
Loke sadā maraṇa saññamimaṃ yatattā,
139故修习如是念者,
Evañhi bhāvanaratassa narassa tassa
140贪欲即从身中断除,不存一分。
Taṇhā pahīyati sarīragatā asesā;

142老病使色身渐颓败污秽,
Rūpaṃ jarā piyataraṃ malinīkaroti
143恐怖之疾夺去一切力量于自身。
Sabbaṃ balaṃ harati attani ghorarogo,
144各种享乐的保护,是对自我的执著。
Nānūpabhoga parirakkhita mattabhāvaṃ
145啊,死者究竟能否摧毁执著自我的果报?
Bho maccu saṃharati kiṃ phalamattabhāve?

147业力未灭,疾病缠身,步履蹒跚,身躯衰败。
Kammānilāpahatarogataraṃgabhaṃge
148生死轮回如大海在口,随波漂流四散迷失,
Saṃsāra sāgara mukhe vitate vipannā,
149不要作无明轻慢的行为,应当努力求得解脱,
Mā māpamādamakarittha karotha mokkhaṃ
150苦的生起,实乃众生因轻慢而生的结果;
Dukkhodayo nanu pamādamayaṃ narānaṃ;

152享乐、朋友、同乡、亲属
Bhogā ca mittasutaporisa bandhavā ca
153女人和生命一样,犹如田地和土地,
Nārī ca jīvitasamā api khettavatthu,
154这一切都是远离他世者所恐惧的,
Sabbāni tāni paralokamito vajantaṃ
155众生在世间对善恶分别不一;
Nānubbajanti kusalākusalaṃva loke;

157于是,在这个充满烦乱的生死海中,
Bho vijjucaṃcalatare bhavasāgaramhi
158过去曾被怎样那股大风所摧毁,
Khittā purā katamahāpavanena tena,
159欲念如同猛兽,迅疾刺入身躯,分裂破碎。
Kāmaṃ vibhijjati khaṇena sarīranāvā
160以手掌行事,应力求表现手掌之最佳德行精华。
Hatthe karotha paramaṃ guṇahatthasāraṃ;

162如腋下之食常被撕裂割裂,欲念亦不断侵袭。
Niccaṃ vibhijjatiha āmaka bhājanaṃva
163虽自守护,但此处自性却多种多样变化纷纭。
Saṃrakkhitopi bahudhā iha attabhāvo,
164应行持法,安立于天界之所依,以法为本。
Dhammaṃ samācaratha saggapatippatiṭṭhaṃ
165此处法若纯净清洁,自然给予真实的果报成就。
Dhammo suciṇṇamihameva phalaṃ dadāti;

167一旦离别,心所爱护的天界诸天常住之处,
Rantvā sadā piyatare divi devarajje
168那些圣者们虽垂名,却因善业已尽而消逝,
Namhā cavanti vibudhā api khīṇapuññā,
169一切欢悦于天地间终必断散,
Sabbaṃ sukhaṃ divi bhuvīha viyoganiṭṭhaṃ
170孰为智慧,能在生存幸福之境中生趣向往?
Ko paññavā bhavasukhesu ratiṃ kareyya?

172如来及其弟子众,世间唯一依止,
Buddho sasāvakagaṇo jagadekanātho
173如满月般环绕着星辰般的光明,
Tārāvalīparivutopi ca puṇṇacando,
174连天人冠饰的脚趾如莲花般美妙,
Indopi devamakuṭaṃkita pādakañjo
175谁能在三界中生出如蜂聚蜜般的精微呢?
Ko pheṇapiṇḍa-na-samo tibhavesu jāto?

177就算是嬉戏般流露的青春容颜之美,
Līlāvataṃsamapi yobbana rūpasobhaṃ
178与至爱之人的亲密相处,
Attūpamaṃ piyajanena ca sampayogaṃ,
179目睹之后仍如见水上浮萍般不定,产生疏忽大意,
Disvāpi vijjucapalaṃ kurute pamādaṃ
180是因被愚痴所迷惑的人,沉溺于生死轮回的欲望中;
Bho mohamohitajano bhavarāgaratto;

182儿子是父亲,母亲是妻子,诸如此类,儿子常于此生存;
Putto pitā bhavati mātu patīha putto
183女人有时既是母亲,且是父亲之所生的儿子,
Nārī kadāci jananī ca pitā ca putto,
184生命世间常以此类相互转变,周而复始;
Evaṃ sadā viparivattati jīvaloko
185心中恒常极为轻率,岂非因生命之戏乐?
Citte sadāticapale khalu jātiraṅge;

187昔日游赏于各类花木繁茂林中,
Rantvā pure vividhaphullalatākulehi
188连天神亦在那仙乐园中,与众美丽女天共处,
Devāpi nandanavane surasundarīhi,
189他们曾经处于思想如荆棘般盘结困苦的状态,
Te ve’kadā vitatakaṇṭakasaṃkaṭesu
190犹如进入千万密林中,遭遇种种苦难;
Bho koṭisimbalivanesu phusanti dukkhaṃ;

192即便曾拥有大量珍贵财富和黄金饮食,
Bhutvā sudhannamapi kañcanabhājanesu
193以及天界人间极致荣华富贵,
Sagge pure suravarā paramiddhipattā,
194他们亦然吞噬如火焰般灼热的铁块,
Te cāpi pajjalitalohagulaṃ gilanti
195曾经染着地狱苦难之欲,遭受痛苦贬居。
Kāmaṃ kadāci narakālaya vāsabhūtā;

197成为世间最为尊贵的女人,遍满大地,毫无缺漏。
Bhutvā narissaravarā ca mahiṃ asesaṃ
198天王们也在天空中享受天上的快乐,守护空中的城池,
Devādhipā ca divi dibbasukhaṃ surammaṃ,
199有时栖居于被碎石覆盖的土地上,
Vāsaṃ kadāci khurasañcitabhūtalesu
200他们或随从着大车队,在天界;
Te vā mahārathagaṇānugatā divīha;

202天女们身着华丽的衣饰,长袍绣满波浪花纹,
Devaṅganā lalitabhinnataraṅgamāle
203在舞台上,紧随猛兽之鬃冠般的装饰,随着他们的步伐舞动,
Raṅge mahissarajaṭāmakuṭānuyāte,
204过去那些沉迷于酒色、无助而懈怠者,
Rantvā pure suravarā pamadāsahāyā
205他们同样陷入更为惊怖苦难之中;
Te cāpi ghorataravetaraṇiṃ patanti;

207那些盛开的鲜花、缠绕缀结果实的藤蔓,
Phullāni pallavalatāphalasaṃkulāni
208以及幽美妍丽的花园和景致宜人的乐园,
Rammāni nandanavanāni manoramāni,
209天神们优雅游走、珠光满面,
Dibbaccharālalitapuṇṇadarīmukhāni
210欢娱于犹如须弥山峰般险峻的山峦,最终都归于灭尽。
Kelāsamerusikharāni ca yanti nāsaṃ;

212痛苦如同流水、风吹、波浪般的感受确实是世俗之乐,
Dolā’nilā’nalataraṃgasamā hi bhogā
213生命也像闪烁不定的光亮一样不稳定,
Vijjuppabhāticapalāni ca jīvitāni,
214身体如同幻影、空气、闪光、水和月亮般虚幻,
Māyāmarīcijalasomasamaṃ sarīraṃ
215在生命和财富面前,谁会生起贪爱呢?
Ko jīvite ca vibhave ca kareyya rāgaṃ?

217在痛苦和水深火热中,苦难为何不生起?
Kiṃ dukkhamatthi na bhavesu ca dāruṇesu
218众生众多,难道没有人分享他的苦难吗?
Sattopi tassa vividhassa na bhājano ko,
219生者如同被死亡、疾病、老衰所压迫,
Jāto yathā maraṇarogajarābhibhūto
220孰为智者,会断除轮回之苦?愚者岂能如此?
Ko sajjano bhavaratiṃ pihayeyya’bālo?

222犹如有人吞咽炽烧之铁砂,
Ke vāpi pajjalitalohagulaṃ gilanti
223即便能力所及,用利器峻猛,
Sakkā kathañcidapi pāṇitalena bhīmaṃ,
224仍无法消灭痛苦之起、污秽之心、无量无边之烦恼,
Dukkhodayaṃ asucinissavanaṃ anantaṃ
225愚者岂愿欲取此肉身乎?
Ko kāmayetha khalu dehamimaṃ abālo?

227在人世间,没有比死亡更为可怕的事,这是对众生而言的恐惧。
Loke na maccusamamatthi bhayaṃ narānaṃ
228也没有比疾病痛苦更为难忍的苦难存在。
Na vyādhidukkhasamamatthi ca kiṃci dukkhaṃ,
229这样的恶劣境遇,不亚于衰老所带来的苦难。
Evaṃ virūpakaraṇaṃ na jarāsamānaṃ
230尽管身体受此影响,人们由于无明仍然执着于感官享乐。
Mohena bho ratimupeti tathāpi dehe;

232没有超脱束缚,犹如泥泞中的莲花污秽不净,无法洁净自身。
Nissārato nalakalīkadalīsamānaṃ
233自身因自身的原因而受苦,正是自己为自己制造痛苦的根源。
Attānameva parihaññati attahetu,
234合成的事物如同恶口般苦恼难忍。
Sampositopi kusahāya ivākataññū
235此人身躯无一刻不被时间劫掠而随行。
Kāyo na yassa anugacchati kālakerā;

237此身犹如满布脓液脓疮的腐肉。
Taṃ pheṇapiṇḍasadisaṃ visasūlakappaṃ
238好比浸泡在水、风、火、地四大元素的生灵之中。
Toyā’nilā’nalamahīuragādhivāsaṃ,
239如同腐朽破败的屋舍,非常脆弱不堪。
Jiṇṇālayaṃva paridubbalamattabhāvaṃ
240人见此,智慧者如何还能生起欢喜?
Disvā naro kathamupeti ratiṃ sapañño?

242寿命的消亡紧随而来,瞬息之间临近无疑。
Āyukkhayaṃ samupayāti khaṇe khaṇepi
243死亡接踵而来,乃至衰老与病痛相随不舍,
Anveti maccu hananāya jarāsipāṇī,
244时光亦复不转回,过去的已然不复返还。
Kālaṃ tathā na parivattati taṃ atītaṃ
245这苦果在轮回中岂非难以思量、难以预见乎?
Dukkhaṃ idaṃ nanu bhavesu acintanīyaṃ?

247寿命短暂者,其死亡于世间极为容易届至,
Appāyukassa maraṇaṃ sulabhaṃ bhavesu
248寿命长久者,则衰老与各种苦难纷至沓来。
Dīghāyukassa ca jarā vyasanaṃ ca’nekaṃ,
249如是,当存在时,二者皆为苦。
Evaṃ bhave ubhayatopi ca dukkhameva
250应当遵行法,致苦灭除;
Dhammaṃ samācaratha dukkhavināsanāya;

252在被剧烈苦火焚烧而极大受苦之中,
Dukkhagginā sumahatā paripīḷitesu
253于三界之中轮回不断的生存者,
Lokattayassa vasato bhavavārakesu,
254普遍而言,于善行之时,乃为懈怠之时,
Sabbattatā sucaritassa pamādakālo
255哦,决非至上善行将永远不失去。
Bho bho na hoti paramaṃ kusalaṃ ciṇātha;

257譬如少有清凉之水在沼泽中,
Appaṃ sukhaṃ jalalavaṃ viya bho tiṇagge

345对欲望而感伤忧愁,其心无智慧乃是愚痴。

370如同影子一般,虽定限于他方,亦随形体变化;

375因其所结之果报,彼其果相亦随之显现。
Sambhūsitā iva bhavanti phalena tena;

380愚者随之而受苦难,因无明且见自己卑劣。

390实因人心有所欲故,他者无法夺取其渴爱。

395为此躯体遣除他心的人;

400时时受极苦恼,且获诸多严重灾难;

405彼若无智慧,常出虚妄之语。

Jātā bhavesu vividhesu virūpadehā
410饮用苦毒猛毒般的酒,失去理智。
Pītvā halāhalavisaṃva suraṃ vipaññā;

415因而遭受种种极大的苦难;
Pappoti cettha vividhavyasanañca nekaṃ;

425全然得安乐,恒生欢喜;

430身躯恒常为死亡、疾病、老病诸苦所侵扰而居;

435我恒常朝向死亡之境界,如实无疑。
Gacchāmi maccuvadanaṃ niyataṃ tathā hi;

438恒常以清净无染的正念安住于心中,

440堪当如此,常以精勤修习,恒久努力增长善法;

443作成全满无缺之功德,如无量之宝藏珍宝。

Deyyaṃ sadā parahitāya sukhāya ceva
445何故此即为入灭者的要义乎?
Kimbho tadeva nanu hatthagatañhi sāraṃ?

447无因则世间何物能生?
Hetuṃ vinā na bhavatī hi ca kiṃci loke
448若如声音能生轻重之因,

449因果依此,性相各别。

450世间因缘而生,因缘消灭,如是兴起、如是灭亡、如是存在。
Loko udeti ca vinassati tiṭṭhatī ca;

452业的果因中,如无明为其根本原因,故此称为业因缘。
Kammassa kāraṇāmayañhi yathā avijjā
453凭借何种业力而得生死轮回的不同生类,
Bho kammanā samadhigacchati jātibhedaṃ,
454此生类依赖于生起,继而生老病死等苦受随之而来,
Jātiṃ paṭicca ca jarāmaraṇādidukkhaṃ
455众生自无始以来,恒久不断承受此种苦难。
Sattā sadā paṭilabhanti anādikāle;

457业力如实存在,但在愚痴和迷惑的愿望中却不显明,
Kammaṃ yathā na bhavatīha ca mohanāsā
458即使业力断灭,在六道轮回中仍无停止再生之由。
Kammakkhayāpi ca na hoti bhavesu jāti,
459因出生灭故,此中有老死等苦,
Jātikkhayā iha jarāmaraṇādidukkhaṃ
460万事终尽,如同灯火遇风即熄;
Sabbakkhayo bhavati dīpevānilena;

Yo passatīha satataṃ munidhammakāyaṃ
463见世尊者乃谓人也,

Nānāvidhabyasanabhājanamappasannaṃ
470以智慧的强大力量将其斩断除灭;

473那心常被深锁牢固的恶染毒矢所侵扰,

Rūpādayo ca vividhā visayā samaggā
475如被伟大狂风击打之山巅,
Phuṭṭhaṃva merusikharaṃ mahatānilena;

477如圣王谓之轮回之苦,
Saṃsāradukkhamagaṇeyya yathā munindo
478越彼深广渡彼波瀚海洋者,

479当弃掉无明精妙,滞愚之网,

480故常当以拔济他人为最高之行。
Tasmā sadā parahitaṃ paramaṃ ciṇātha;

482断除此处已得之出离的安乐,以利于他者,

483行于世间,身处大怖畏中,
Atthāya saṃcari bhavesu mahabbhayesu,
484于是常常为他人利益在前努力,
Evaṃ sadā parahitaṃ purato karitvā
485所行之法随从我,恰为众生利益;
Dhammo mayānucarito jagadatthameva;

488一切无谰言,乃瞬间具足的财富,

490哪位有智慧者会不断地不亲近法呢?

493正法、圣道如法之音由是而现,

Kalyāṇamittapavare matisampadañca
495哪位聪明者会不断地不亲近法呢?
Ko buddhimā anavaraṃ na bhajeyya dhammaṃ?

497如是,难得而殊胜的善业,已然容易获得,
Evampi dullabhataraṃ vibhave suladdhā
498远离杀生和恶不善法,双方面皆斩除欲望,
Maccheradosa viratā ubhayatthakāmā,
499信心及诸善法相佐,常常勤勉不懈怠,
Saddhādidhammasahitā satatappamattā
500啊!啊!当行之,以求无死之果,福报无量;
Bho! Bho! Karotha amatādhigamāya puññaṃ;
